The Chipotle Chicken Empanadas are so flavorful and good. They sold out of the Buffalo Chicken ones when I got there. The Chipotle Aioli is also good. Walk up window only, no seating. Pay cash and get the sauce for free.

We like this place but find it can be inconsistent. Korean beef is really good. Mushroom when available is really good. Mexican corn good too. I’ve had bad luck with the shredded chicken ones. Pepper jack chicken and Chimichurri chicken tonight were basically just pastry. Nothing much inside. Tasted like thick crusty pastry. I wish they looked like the photos.

Our favorite place in all of Doylestown! Order to-go or enjoy them at the picnic tables on a nice day. I love how the flavors rotate, so there is always something new and delicious to try. Make sure to get the Korean Beef (with Asian dipping sauce) and the cocoa caramel bars if it’s your first visit!

These are the best empanadas ever. The crust was truly amazing. It was a little tricky to find being located in a building behind the actual address. I would definitely recommend searching this place out and will definitely go again when in the area. The staff was super friendly and helpful as well.

Firstly, love the empanadas ! And the dips. New menu every week with some items that dont change plus seasonal flavors. Dips are also the best ! But, they always mess up the order. Always check the box before you leave the place. A wrong flavor empanada or not having the dips in the boxes. For someone who lives 30 mins away I can't drive back to correct the order or get my dip, but it definitely ruins the experience.

This is one of my favorite lunch spots when I'm working in Doylestown. Food is fast and delicious. The staff is kind and attentive. I've ordered from here often and I've never received a mistake in an order. Sometimes I wish there was more than one vegan option offered per day but it's thoughtful that the option rotates so it's not always the same thing. I've tried all their vegan empanadas and they're all perfect! Also, I appreciate the business offering a vegan sauce. Most restaurants in Doylestown have vegan options without a vegan sauce to go with them. The vegan chipotle sauce is great!

These empanadas are the best over ever eaten. Could not recommend this place more. We did have a little bit of trouble finding it because it's kinda in the back side of the main street buildings but we figured it out and I'm so glad we did!

We used to get empanadas from Empanada Mama quite frequently. My kids loved coming here. However, I don't think we've been since covid. They've pivoted to walk-up only, which isn't much of an issue for us. We ordered 18 of various flavors, and all were good. But, it seems that something has changed over the last few years. I couldn't put my finger on it, but they weren't as flavorful as I remembered. Again, good, but something is... different. That did not stop me from enjoying my meal very much. I should note that although the various boxes are stated to come with dipping sauces (1, 2, 4), we were told that if we paid by credit card they would charge us .50cents per sauce; if we paid with cash they would be free. Didn't love that, but since so many other establishments are placing a surcharge for credit payments, I guess it works out to be a bit cheaper. Anyway, I'm glad we tried it again after so long, but not sure we'd be back anytime soon.

Empanada Mama is awesome! Ordering is super easy, empanadas are the perfect size, and, best of all, they taste amazing! I grabbed a bunch of different flavors, perfect for game day snacks. Plus, they make great snacks through the week, you can just reheat them! Making Empanadas Great Again!

I had a day off and decided to get some empanadas. I use to be able to walk inside and place my order. Now it's just a window. They take your order and then you have to wait. Parking is horrible near this area. The employees are nice and sweet. The empanadas are delicious. And they also pair sauces with the empanadas you chose. It is only take out. No tables or chairs, at place.

I'm always in doylestown and I never really took the time to stop by and try and it the shops or places! I looked up and saw that Empanada Mama was right around the corner from me. I ordered a whole of empanadas to try -- literally almost one of each because I loveeeee empanadas! I used to live in northern VA where empanadas were huge and always at the farmers markets. So, I wanted to see if empanada mama could compare. The flavors on the menu today were all exotic -- which was cool. Mexican street corn, Korean beef, mushroom and goat cheese, and even banana Nutella and salted caramel. When you arrive at empanada mama, you can go towards the back where you can order directly through the window or on their website. I ordered right when they opened and waited in the car. It took roughly 25 minutes! The empanadas were pretty amazing. The flavors were all there and they were strong. Empanada mama really knows how to nail the flavors. When they say something like, "Korean beef" they deliver and give you Korean beef. 10/10!! as much as I loved this place, it's a little bit on the pricier end... almost $4 for 1 empanada. I spent over $70! and I don't think I'd go back and buy more than a few. It's definitely a splurge.

I can't believe it's taken me THIS LONG to try these amazing, hand-made empanadas! They are affordable, have a well crafted pastry that flakes apart with each delicious bite, and the fillings are a fun variety. The fillings change each day except for a few staples. They even have dessert empanadas! I will absolutely be trying those soon. Make sure you order online or call in since it is a walk up window. The staff is friendly and efficient, plus they neatly write your name and which empanadas you ordered on your box. You can also choose one of the many sauces they make from scratch each day to complement the empanada. If you are not in the mood for a baked empanada, they have very fresh salads at a great price! They also have a nice selection of bottled and canned drinks. The prep area from what I can see is very clean and you can park right in front of the shop door to pick up your order. They do not have a restroom but there are plenty of local places to find one.

I have been meaning to try this place for years and years but they have weird hours and usually I can never make it. I happened to walk by and see that they were open so I stopped to check them out. You order at the window I ordered the lunchbox which is 3 empanadas with a sauce - although I got charged for the sauce. I got the buffalo chicken, the chimichurri chicken, and the jalapeño popper. They all had great flavor, they're not as filled as I thought they'd be , which is mostly due to the size since they're not all that big. I think I liked the jalapeño popper the best as it was creamy and spicy! I tried the garlic aioli sauce as I figured it'd go the best with all three flavors. I'm looking forward to trying them again!

Our server Marley was great. She let us know which empanadas were their best sellers and which sauces paired well. The empanadas were good, but I have had better. It's the dough of the pastry is a little on the heavy side. It should be just a little flakier. The filling could be a little bit better seasoned, but for an empanada that failed to fix it did the job. There is no ambience because it's a pick up your order from a window type of place. But I love the location and how you can walk around and see a lot of the stores in the area while eating your food. I see why this area attracts so many, it's quaint, and beautiful.

Contrived ordering process. Long wait times. Not hot .no sauces included . Long list of commands in order for you to get your order. Absurd. Although the empanadas are actually very good, it's not worth all of this ordeal so for that reason, I cannot recommend and for me and those with me this place will be a hard hard pass.

I wasn't expecting it to just be a window to pick up food, so I can't really comment on the ambience . We scanned the code in the front and waited 5 minutes for our food. The website told us the wait was going to be 30 minutes so they really should update that. The empanadas are appropriately priced and were delicious. My favorite was the Mexican corn one and I'm a big fan of their sauces although I do think they shouldn't be charging for them. As pictured, I do like that they label each empanada I thought it was a nice touch in case someone has allergies or dietary restrictions.

Got the lunch box which includes 3 empanadas and 1 dipping sauce for $11 exact (cash). We got the B.A Beef de Argentina, chimmichuri chicken, Mexican street corn and sriracha lime crema. The dough was super flakey, light and delicious. We quite liked the chimmichuri chicken, but everything else was nothing special. The corn was tough and not very flavorful. The sriracha lime crema made everything better though. Overall, not bad. Good for a quick snack or meal.

Great little hole in the wall empanada shop! Different options weekly and online ordering available. The empanadas are so yummy and filling! I have not had one I didn't like!!!

I drive out of my way to get these empanadas. My favorite is the Argentine beef. But I recently tried the Black bean and sweet potato empanadas. I highly recommend. Also, the dessert empanadas are delicious.

Was planning on visiting Doylestown as I wanted to see some of the neighborhoods around the Philly area. When I was checking out where I should eat, Empanada MAMA came up as really highly rated and reviewed, so I thought I'd give it a shot! We called ahead of time to place an order for a lunch box, which comes with your choice of any 3 empanadas with 1 dipping sauce. This was a pretty good deal for $11, as the empanadas were nicely sized! We went with the Argentina Beef, Korean Beef, and Chicken Salsa Verde Empanadas, and asked them to pair the best dipping sauce with it. Each of the empanadas were super crispy, stuffed with filling, and visually very appealing! Our favorite was the Argentina Beef, followed by the Chicken Salsa Verde and the Korean Beef! But you really couldn't go wrong with any of them! I really wanted to try the cheese and guava they had that week, but they were already sold out for the day! Empanada MAMA has a rotating Empanada menu, so definitely check out their website to be sure what they're offering that week! Give this place a try if you're in the Doylestown area!

My wife and I tried to use and we're blown away by the creative ingredients and flavors. The mobile ordering was easy to navigate and the staff suggested we try a sample of dipping sauces, although the sauce aren't even necessary because the flavor of the empanadas is so rich.I would definitely try this place and be adventurous with your choices.

I've been on a hunt to find excellent baked empanadas since visiting Argentina (too many now) years ago. So happy to find they are baked, not fried. We tried 5 different flavors, including the corned beef and cabbage for St. Pat's Day! The Argentina Beef we thought the tastiest. The Buffalo chicken didn't have that real good flavor it should. The Chinese chicken fillings (forget exact name) lacked the real good Chinese chicken flavor they should have had. The sauces were free if you pay with cash..or something like that..the nice worker said, but 50 cents if pay by card ? Only got one sauce and it had too strong of a mayo taste. Nothing was bad. I think probably chose the least flavorful fillings. It's a fun and easy quick meal or snack to grab. Take this review for what it's worth..probably nothing. I'm just too picky after having al horno empanadas in S. America.

My husband and I were new to empanadas but Empanada Mama sold us on them. We were back a 2nd time that same week. That time we ordered, a day in advance & by phone a ,mixed unbaked, dozen to have for family that was coming in for the holidays. Easy ordering & pickup, helpful & pleasant staff, good baking directions... & they were a hit! We need to become more familiar w/available dipping sauces. Personal preferences left some sauces unused & needing more of others.

OH MY GOSH! This is my new favorite food ever! Everytime ive went the service and workers where AMAZING! It has such a cute vibe, and they never make you wait more the 15 minutes if you want one warmes up! My favorite is definitely the buffalo, even thought i dont really like buffalo, this is different! Its so good and just great service! I love it!

I was hesitant to go here. We went and I can't wait to go back! The empanadas were amazing. The dough is flakey and not super oily and nasty. The sauces are amazing as well. I tried the Korean beef empanada which was so good! The Thai empanada was really good as well. The service was great. They were quick to take the order and they give it to you quickly. There is no where to sit down or walk into a restaurant. You come to a pink door and order, and you take your food to go. We are definitely going back soon.

I LOVE me some empanadas... so I knew when I was gonna be in town for an event, (I live in South Jersey) I for sure wanted to stop by this place! In the downtown Main Street area, parking can be a little confusing. They have a tiny parking lot in front of their place, and if you find one, you're super lucky! But there are tons of street parking all around the area within a short walking distance. Metered and free parking all around. The shop is small, more of a takeout place than a sit in place. Lots of options on their menu. Go early to ensure they have all the flavors available because if they run out, they're done for the day. You can also call your order in to make the process even faster. There were a few girls working the front, very friendly and took the time to give me their recommendations along with dip options. Asked me if I needed the empanadas heated up. Service was nice and quick even with a shop full of customers! Empanadas I went with the dozen order which came with 4 dip choices. I went with 2 Korean Beefs, 2 BA Beef, 2 Sausage, 2 Chimi Cauliflower , 2 BBQ Chicken and 2 Honey Mustard Chicken. All of them were AMAZING!! Dough was nice and flaky.. but not too flaky where it falls apart so easily. It held together nicely and the flavor combinations were so yummy. I didn't even need the dipping sauces, but they were a great addition to them. I will definitely come back if I'm ever back in town because the town itself is a cute little area to explore.. but this place is a definite must if you're in the area!

Finding a good empanada spot around this part of the state of Pennsylvania is like finding a needle in a haystack, thanks for the resource of my of my worked we able to find this one. We were running against the clock went we call and they told me they were closing in thirty minutes, good that we made on time. Staffs are very nice and kind, they welcome us with a smile even though they were almost closing. I order there empanadas: Pepperoni & Mozzarella with Roasted red peppers, mozzarella cheeses with pepperoni. Buffalo Chicken Shredded a chicken with MAMAmade buffalo homemade sauce, gorgonzola, and mozzarella The B.A. Beef Seasoned ground beef with peppers, onions, garlic, cumin, paprika, and scallions All empanadas were delicious, a bit small and baked with make it more healthy. I really recomend this place. They also offer side sauces to dip on the empanadas

We were meeting up with friends in Doylestown and they suggested we grab lunch to go at Empanada Mama. I'm so glad we did! We got six empanadas and two dips: the BA Beef, Korean Beef, Buffalo Chicken, Street Corn, Mushroom, and Ricotta Berry. I didn't know which sauces to pick, but the lovely person on the phone suggested two -- Sriracha Lime and Garlic Aioli, which turned out to pair well! I ordered by phone and picked up, all smooth. I really appreciated how they wrote the names of each empanada on the box lid so I knew which was which! My wife and I split all of them and honestly couldn't agree on which was the best -- they were all so good! The stand out was honestly the tender flakey crust; absolutely divine. The savory flavors were all excellent (and fun to pair with different dips!), and I would absolutely order any of them again. (Our picky kid even rated the BA Beef as "not too bad," which is pretty impressive for a kid who turns his nose up at exotic food such as... all forms of cheese.) I didn't love the sweeter ricotta/berry one as much, but maybe that's just because the savory ones were so good? I would also be curious to see other sweet combos (Nutella and banana, almond paste, cinnamon and sugar, s'mores, etc -- so many possibilities!) Definitely a great place!!

This is a hidden gem. Happened to do business around the area and looking up what to eat around. So glad to find this place in a cute little area. The parking is a bit confusing with the one way street. I circled around 3 times and still can't get to the most front of the store. Clearly shows that I'm not around the area. I parked a block away and just walked there. Two ladies in there were nice and patient with me. First time there with so many great choices! End up with a box of a dozen back home. They are all so good no matter what's in it! I may just have to drive an hour and 15 min just to come here!!! I think it's bit on the pricey side but they are so good though. There should be shipping option for those of us who doesn't live nearby. On a small note, even though they use the iPad as a cash register, I like how they don't flip the screen for customers to sign and sometimes we feel obligated to tip. Instead they have a jar next to it if you feel like dropping your change in.

Right after a recent trip to Miami where I got my fair share of good empanadas, I was craving some. Popped in to Empanada Mama on a whim. Oh were these good or what?! No wonder the wait was 15 - 20 minutes on a random rainy Friday afternoon. I came here solely based on Yelper's recommendations. You guys know whats up and I was not disappointed. I am not an expert on empanadas by any means, but these baked beauties were made with what I thought was a puff or short pastry dough. I think this is unusual, no? But this made them super fluffy, flaky and juicy. The fillings were plentiful to chose from. I've tried 5 different ones, including vegetarian, all were amazingly flavorful. I only wish I got some more to go.

Came here from LA where we can get some of the best empanadas. Wanted to try this place seeing how popular it was and we were super impressed with the quality, flavor and overall experience of eating these heavenly little treats. But more specifically this place is BOMB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No exaggeration. Every bite was like satisfaction guaranteed in my mouth. We got the Ham and Cheese, the BA Beef, and Buffalo Chicken. With Chipotle Aioli sauce and Truffle Aioli. Definitely love these two sauces. Especially the Chipotle Aioli. QUALITY: Super high quality empanadas. Each one is hand made and has the utmost care put into it. I was watching the owner Kendall make each one and I can say this is definitely a craft of good food. Taste is superb for each one. PRICE: Definitely reasonable prices for what you are getting. It's NOT overpriced. If you come from LA wanting $1.00 empanadas you won't get it here became these are not mass produced greasy low quality empanadas. No each one is quality and high end. SERVICE: Can definitely see why Kendall is so successful. She's got a million dollar personality and is very interactive with her guests. Really enjoyed talking to her. VARIETY: A lot of empanadas to choose from. See my pic with their menu that changes daily. The place is really trendy and hip. Definitely a quality place to get some great tasting and filling empanadas!! Will be back for sure!!!!!

Best place for any kind of Empanada. Use to work In Doylestown and enjoyed lunch there at kEast once a week. Now anytime I get to a Doylestown this is my go to place for lunch. Was there today and it was packed. Everyone getting Empanadas for the Holidays.

We've been going to empanada mama for approximately 6-8 years--frustrating experience ever. When ordering online they don't have the item--even though you can choose the item online and the most frustrating part is, they're never open during their operating hours. Is this a business or is this a hobby? We went to the Doylestown location on a Saturday around 6ish and once again they weren't open. Saturday around 6pm! Operating hours are until 7pm--we even called because they're so lassiez-faire and the message said they were on another call. If you want to be continuously frustrated--go here! You won't be disappointed.

Happened upon this place while walking down main street in Doylestown. I am so happy we stopped in. BA Beef, Cuban and Korean beef were the best. BA Beef is the classic empanada and was perfection. When I bit into the Cuban empanada I thought I was eating a traditional Cuban sandwich down to the pickles. The Korean beef was a tad on the sweet side. We also tried the corn, chipotle chicken, and sausage with peppers and onions. We picked two dipping sauces garlic aioli was one but I forgot the other. Both were very tasty and worked with all the empanadas. We will have to return and bring the kids next time. There is a peach one I am doing to try. No sitting space inside but cool outdoor space available. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Hands down, the best empanadas I've ever had. Empanada Mama bakes theirs, but nothing about the empanada was dry, which is usually my issue with baked empanadas. Instead, the crust was flaky and flavorful, the way a great pastry should be; the fillings were unique and interesting. We got a box of six which included two traditional beef, barbecue chicken, sausage and peppers, cauliflower and corn. I expected to have a clear ranking of my favorites but was surprised to find that I liked them all almost equally. My husband loves empanadas so I'm glad we stumbled across this place. We arrived just before noon to only one person in line, but the line behind us quickly grew. Definitely a spot to revisit the next time we're in Doylestown!

This is my first time here and we ordered not to have them heated up bc we were going to shop for a few hours. The staff was super nice and helped us decide what to order. She explained what was in each empanada and also explained the sauces that were available. Below is what we ordered. It was restaurant week and we ordered the $35 special with the Mezza salad. 2 Korean Beef- very tasty and would order again 2 Buffalo Chicken- basic buffalo chicken inside- would not order again 1 Spinach- my favorite! To yummy and cheesy 1 Mac N' Cheese- a little dry but taste ok 3 Ba Beef- a little spicy but good 3 Tikka Masala- good and tasty I dipped it with the cucumber sauce- I would order this again Mezza salad- tasty and very healthy- I wish it has some sort of veggie to dip or chip in the hummus. My only complaint would be, I wish there was more sauce. The sauce comes in a small container and there should have either a bigger container or 2 of each sauce we ordered. I also wish they labeled the sauces, it was hard to tell which sauce was which. There was also only 3 stools in the store but the little hole in the wall is great and everyone should try it if they are in Doylestown. Next time I will order the dessert empanadas, they all looked to yummy.

Very delicious empanadas. My mother and I ordered 3 beef and 3 mexican corn with chipotle aioli and horseradish cream. Definitely will go back.

My daughter says this was the best thing she ever ate! Heard about this place from a friend but hadn't gotten there til now. My daughter and I were walking around and happened upon it & mentioned that it was recommended so we decided to stop in. What a great find! Not knowing that this flaky goodness was about to rule our belly sadly we only purchased a half dozen. We tried the buffalo chicken, Korean beef and the beef special of the day. They were all so good! We will definitely be back for more!

They were very small and very expensive. they tasted OK but for all that money they should be bigger and less expensive. We won't go back nor will we recommend this place.

Super yummy! Owners sister is a sweetheart and very helpful! My favorite was the Korean Beef and also liked the bacon date. All really tasty! I recommend trying these. If you pick up for dinner you can quickly heat up and it's a score with your family!!

The actual location is very small the entrance is in the back of the building. There is 3 little seats to choose from so you better hope there isn't alot of people who want to eat there. The staff was very nice. The selections for empanadas sounded really good. I really enjoyed the mexican street corn and the pesto chicken. However I did not enjoy the apple squash one I would not get that one again. Very nice experience and I would come back

These ladies know how to marry an empanada with some excellent sauce choices! My friend and I visited this place twice within one day because one is just not enough! Cooked as a Colombian empanada, these little fluffy pillows are stuffed with tasty treats! The ultimate pick would have to be the spinach and feta with the truffle aioli sauce. Good GOD this that amazing! I am truly a meat lover through and through, but this was really a delightful surprise! Thinking about a party? They cater! Thinking about staying and enjoying your empanadas? Grab a stool! Thinking about having them at home to enjoy? Make sure you ask just exactly how you should prepare them so they taste the way the are supposed to! Do they always have the same things in stock? Nope, and they do sell out! I would definitely hit this place up again and get a half dozen to myself and have my friend watch me eat them.

As good as their empanadas were, the first customer service experience that I had will make me hesitant on going back!! I understand that it was the rush lunch time and a lot of small businesses are struggling with staffing, and I am not complaining about the wait time. What went wrong is that the lady at the reception after helping the customer in front of me, without saying anything or even acknowledging me or the other person in line, just closed the door and went inside! We both were like"What?" That made me feel like she didn't care about the customer, and I know they do, because why would you be in this business if you wouldn't?? It made me feel like I didn't matter though. Hope their customer service improves because their food was great!!

I've passed this place many times but TODAY I decided to stop and try it out. Both of the women behind the counter were friendly and one explained to me that these empanadas were "Argentine style" in that they were baked - not fried. And baked with love they were! I opted for the lunch box deal. 3 empanadas and a homemade sauce for a little under ten bucks. Went with the BA Beef, Korean beef and the Poblano chicken. All good choices. They filled me up without that bloated feeling you get from eating a few empanadas from say...On The Border... As I waited for my order to be heated up several regulars came and went with their pick up orders. The owner greeted each one warmly. I'm looking forward to sampling more varieties. Nice place.

My absolute favorite restaurant in Doyelstown! Lots of amazing flavors! Loaded bake potato is hands down my favorite, pepperoni & mozzarella is a close second.

They've got an empanada and sauce for everyone's taste buds. Creatively crafted pairings across the board. Deliciously executed. We shared the 3 box. After eating said shared box, I wanted another three for myself. I restrained myself. Summer Squash, BBQ Pulled Pork, Bacon and Date with garlic aioli as choice dip. All were equally yummy. Garlic aioli was the perfect pairing for all. If you take a gander online at their menu beforehand, you'll have an idea of the empas available. Would recommend arriving on the earlier side as flavors sell out. We went on the later end of a Saturday night and 5 options I had my eyes set on were already sold out. Plenty of other tasty sounding options were available and it just gives me a reason to go back for a dozen to go!

Decided to stop in here before going to Mercury Tattoo (an amazing tattoo studio around the corner) and tried their 1/2 dozen empanada box. My daughter and I got a variety to try, but I must say the Korean empanada was AMAZING. It was so good we decided to order the full dozen box to go for when we were done getting her tattoo finished to take home!

Amazing! You get 3 mix and match empanadas and a dipping sauce of your choice. Everyone who works here is very nice and helpful in suggestions! There are a few tables outside to sit on, nothing fancy. This is a must try for the summer!

Amazing place to grab lunch when you're studying at the library down the road, or to grab food after a trip to the museum! The girls working this hole-in-the-wall but bright and clean place were so sweet & helpful! These are incredible & I can't wait to try all the new flavors. Incredible twist on a traditional food! The lunch box includes 3 diff flavors & a dipping sauce for just under $10. Love that it comes in a neat cardboard box instead of ugly & less recyclable plastic. Highly recommend. Edited to add: just finished my dulce de leche. Very tasty, but since it's the same size as the savory ones, it gets very sweet quickly. A smaller size for the sweet one would be cool, but I'll admit I'm someone who likes things on the lesser side of sweet. If you're like me, split this one with a friend!

Just found out about this spot a while back and finally made moves and grabbed a dozen. They were sold out of a few things that I was excited to try, but there were lots of other options and specials to choose from for my box. Absolutely fantastic!
