The Best Valentine’s Day Restaurants in NYC | Eater NY

"If red meat raised your temperature, this classic steakhouse with large booths elevated for additional privacy, should fit the bill. The $112 menu includes a glass of prosecco, and selections like jumbo shrimp cocktail, oysters, bone-in ribeye; and lobster ravioli." - Beth Landman

The restaurant is located in the Midtown(East side) section of Manhattan. It was formerly constructed to be an opera house and later was used for musical performances. Celebrities including the Desi Arnaz orchestra performed here during this period. It was completely renovated and is currently a stunning establishment. They prepare primarily American cuisine specializing in steak. Soups, salads, appetizers, entrees, sides, desserts, wine and beverages are available. I celebrated my brother's birthday and he order a bone-in ribeye steak. I and my sister-in-law ordered filet mignon. The calamari, mac and cheese and creamed spinach enhanced the meal. We finished by indulging in an apple pie dessert similar to a strudel. The food, service and location were excellent. Everything was well-prepared and flavorful.

It was an amazing experience. We went for Restaurant Week, and the manager Giorgio really showcased just how amazing he was at managing the restaurant. One of our waiters, Elvis, was also especially attentive to our needs. We’ve been to various restaurants (even Michelin starred) within NYC, and this one will remain memorable. We’ll definitely be back (even outside of Restaurant Week)!

My girlfriend and I recently visited the city for a trip. I wanted to book us a nice steakhouse dinner. I found this restaurant by looking at Google maps. I'm glad I did. Everything we had was a 10/10. Service was great (everyone in the restaurant would wait on us, fill out water glasses, check on us, etc.), the food was amazing, atmosphere was great. We had a reservation for 5:15 and I got a text at 5 saying it was ready. We walked in and sat right down at a booth by the spiral staircase. We were the only people in the restaurant for most of our meal. I got the prime NY Strip. The steak was huge , cooked perfectly and flavorful! All steaks are dry aged. I got fries for a side. They were the biggest and best fries I've ever had. I also got the Canadian bacon for an appetizer, which was huge and great! My girlfriend got a filet mignon and jumbo shrimp with Mac and cheese. The shrimp were huge and amazing! The steak was cooked perfectly and flavorful as well. The and and cheese was great! We then lastly got a piece of the cheesecake to share, which was amazing. This was the best restaurant I've ever been to. It's well worth the price.

I can honestly say this is the best dining experience I ever had! The food was phenomenal, wine list extensive, cocktails perfect, and staff such as Giovanni, Allen and Hrvooe were superb!!!! The hostess was very gracious as well. At first we felt very underdressed and I was concerned having young children with me. However, within moments the staff made us feel very welcome and appreciated. They even remembered it was to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and the manager came over three times! He comp’d us an amazing dessert tray! Please can I come here every week??!! Cannot wait to return. Thank you everyone for such a great memorable experience.

Google
We loved our experience here. Highly recommend. Dino and Giovanni were the most hospitable hosts. So attentive. The steak for two is delicious and ask much more than we expected! Wine list is fabulous! And the limoncello at the end was a perfect finish to the evening!

Google
Highly recommend the French Onion Soup and Rib eye steak. The steak was cooked to perfection and really allowed the meat to shine. I've found me new favorite steak house.

Google
Don’t come here unless you need an ok Italian meal near the hotel. Some of the food was just fine but the flat bread was inedible. It looked like cafeteria food. The crust looked like they got it from a gas station and it had this weird goopy cheese on top. There are so many better places to go in NYC so why eat at the hotel restaurant. To be clear, I love the hotel but the restaurant isn’t up to snuff.

Google
Went here for my birthday experience was AMAZING!! The two Genti’s were so helpful and amazing. Bardi was also welcoming. Would definitely recommend!! The manager was nice too. They even gave me a complimentary cake for my bday ! 10/10 experience would definitely recommend!!!

Yelp
After the matinee showing of The Outsiders at the Bernard Jacob Theatre, walked a few blocks to this steak house because it is convenient from the theatre. Was surprised that they have a restaurant week special of choice of 4 mains, choice of 4 appetizers, choice of 3 desserts with coffee or tea for $60. I ordered the Fried Calamari for appetizer, Ribeye rare for main, NY cheesecake for dessert with tea after dinner. Wife ordered the Caesar Salad for appetizer, Filet Mignon medium rare for main, Tiramisu for dessert with coffee after dinner. All the dishes were large so we shared them together. In fact, so much steak were left that I had them packed with the mashed potatoes and asparagus for lunch next day at the US Open. Just trying to "stretch" the dollar for our trip to New York for the US Open!

Yelp
This place, sadly was disappointing. Service was slow and seemed inexperienced. First, what's good.. The French Onion Soup was really good, and the only reason I'm not rating this restaurant with 2 stars. A lot more was not good.. We ordered Pasta that was over-cooked and a Filet medium rare, that was served rare (Dark red bloody thru 3/4 of the steak and blood on the plate after cutting into it) ..yes I know what medium rare should be.. this was Rare. our server either did not know.. or more likely, didn't want to take initiative to send it back to the kitchen. He could see it wasn't right. I'd also have expected to see some management oversight and checking on guest experiences.. there was none of that either. To sum it up, best case is this place is inconsistent, likely this place is just simply over-rated.

Yelp
Empire steak was a great place in NYC to dine with a large group. We had a party of fifteen people and I thought the kitchen did a good job preparing the food to all come out at once. I really enjoyed the Mac and cheese which was super creamy and cheesy. The service was a bit lacking. It took nearly thirty minutes for us to get menus. Since the service was slow we did not order apps or many drinks. If the service was better we would have ordered a lot more.

Yelp
Came for the first time this past Tuesday evening. It was a good dinner, but I am conflicted about a couple of things. My fillet au Poirve was absolutely stellar, Wonderful, piping-hot baked potato, and my dining companion's steak was gorgeous as well. The onion rings were a crashing disappointment, barely warm and definitely not crispy. Here's where my dissatisfaction begins: it seems there is "team service" at this steakhouse. There were three people seeing to my table, and the one person that I told about the onion rings dropped the ball. I had stated my dissatisfaction, and that I would like a new order, but nothing ever happened. The plate of pale, limp rings was left on our table. Even as plates were being cleared, I commented to the server "I suppose we won't be getting that re-order of onion rings?" to which he said "You want more onion rings?" We ultimately were also charged for the disappointing onion rings. While I'm sure team service is a successful formula for them, I found it to be frustrating and confusing. My other two issues were that the music being played at the restaurant was an 80s playlist. I heard Def Leppard, Roxette, and Phil Collins while dining at a "posh steakhouse". Finally, Empire has a custom, clearly, where multiple members of staff sing happy birthday to tables that have a birthday celebrate. This is a full-scale, loud production. Within the space of my one hour and 20 minute meal, there were three different birthdays, and the spectacle of the "happy birthday" song derailed the calm and peaceful evening that I was hoping to have at this restaurant. The steaks were spectacular, but I am left with lingering dissatisfaction at the service, the soundtrack, and they are disruptive practice of "the happy birthday song".

Yelp
First time trying empire steak and it was definitely good. The fried calamari was my favorite appetizer for sure. The meatballs in red sauce were pretty good and the tomatoes with mozzerella were not bad either. The oil on the table was really high quality so that was awesome. The NY strip was cooked nicely and I enjoyed the meal overall. The waiters were extremely fast and nice.

Yelp
First time here for restaurant week lunch. Service was excellent and very friendly. The food and ambiance were good. I wish the portions of mashed potatoes and veggie were a bit bigger, but that is my only complaint on the food. My slightly bigger complaint was the difficulty in maneuvering inside of the bathroom stalls. There is literally no room between the toilet and the stall door.

Yelp
I am not sure how the reviews are so high? Yelp is usually pretty accurate but not this time. Service was a 4 star. The staff was attentive and food was served timely. Some of the staff couldn't understand our requests. Food was just ok. The eggplant was ok, tasted like a frozen patty smothered in cheese. Ravioli was the best part of the meal. Salmon was tasteless. The biggest disappoint were the salads. Several people didn't want steak, so they order salads. $20 for a small bowl of lettuce and $26 for the Empire salad which is a bowl of onions, red peppers and one shrimp, steak was just ok. Our meal was $170 which wasn't justified by the food. Unfortunately this restaurant is not our recommendation, we would give it 2.5 stars.

Yelp
Amazing food. Steak was cooked perfectly. The Canadian bacon was awesome. I highly recommend the loaded baked potato!

Yelp
I thought I already covered this. We ate here in November, when we were in town for the Baron conference. This place is EPIC. Large, dark dining rooms, carpeting, white tablecloths, upper tier service, and your water and wine glasses don't go empty. I ordered their larger filet, medium rare, with sautéed spinach. My wife ordered their smaller filet, medium rare, with sautéed spinach. I also had their French Onion Soup. First, the soup: It was served hot, piping hot with a nice, melted layer of mozzarella cheese in a ceramic bowl. It had plenty of onions, and made me remember what good French Onion Soup tastes like. The filet was served, and it was cooked to order, exquisitely tender and tasted fantastic. I was cutting it in progressively smaller pieces to enjoy it longer. My wife had a similar cut, tender, and delightful on the palate. The wine list was impressive. They even had Chateau Y'quem available, which was a bit beyond my budget, but the first place ever I'd seen that. It took a while to sort through their impressive array of Cabernets, but I finally found one, which was outstanding. For a finish, we split their Crème Brule, which had a nice, caramelized top and was very tasty and delightfully light. The service was absolutely spot on, helpful, and polite. The manager made several visits to see how our dinner was. If you are in New York in the Times Square area, you have to stop in. If you love steak as much as I do, this is one you don't want to miss.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I had dinner at the restaurant yesterday to celebrate his birthday. We were seated right away and our waiter was helpful but not intrusive. The bread was warm and tasty; we had two servings. We both had The New York strip steak medium well and it was cooked to perfection. For an appetizer we had the fried calamari and I had a glass of an excellent Riesling wine. For my boyfriend's birthday the restaurant served us two free slices of cake; cheesecake and a chocolate mousse cake with a candle. :). They were both delicious. This was our first time at Empire Steakhouse and it won't be the last. My only complaint was that I thought, the fried calamari portion was a little small for the price, but it was delicious. And we were charged for a second cup of coffee; $5.50. But it was very good.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing is an understatement. Our server Leon was above and beyond throughout our experience here, yes eating here is an experience. The two of us had the oysters, Canadian bacon, Emperor steak for two (which was enough for 4 people), and sides. To top it off...the cheesecake was magnificent to say the least. Again overall great place, food and ambiance. We attended on a Friday night before a 7pm broadway show. The manager was even so kind to hold our left over food for us since we couldn't bring the food into the theater.
google avatar

Verbil K.

Yelp
I will say it had a decent ambiance and service was ok but compared to Del Frisco's or Ruth Chris the experience was meh. The "loaded baked potato" was an insult to baked potato's. It just had melted cheddar and a few hunks of ham? Also the appetizers were a joke. If you can't hit all the marks don't charge $500 for dinner. Steak was cooked well and tasted ok but the rest of the experience was not great.

Yelp
I started my birthday tour with Empire Steakhouse in Midtown East. The ambiance was so elegant and inviting. The staff demonstrated exceptional customer service. The food was tasty, mouth-watering and delicious. This restaurant should be on your list for your next dining experience. You will not be dissapointed. Thank you Empire Steakhouse for making my visit an unforgettable experience. Special shout out to the manager and Gino our server.

Yelp
How bad is business there? I haven't lived in NYC or the east coast in over a decade and I am getting early morning text to come eat here. I never authorized any text from there. I live in California and never authorized them to text me.

Yelp
This is our 1st time here and in New York. Heard rave reviews on Tik Tok and YouTube... However, truth behold - HORRIBLE service and food. Would not come here again. The service by the waitstaff was horrible - ignored us all throughout the dinner. Had to keep asking for drinks. FOOD was the same HORRIBLE - better at a chain and would be cheaper too... POOR quality. - Double Lamb Chops - was probably the best overall. - Bone-in T-Bone - ordered medium. Came out well with lots over hot butter which probably made it well and it was already cut up. :( :( - Chilean Sea Bass. Came out dry and overcooked but it was wet. - Prime Rib - ordered Medium Rare. Came out Rare. waited 5-mins to get the waiter's attention. Mentioned that ordered Medium Rare. Came out Well - waiter left without asking to have it checked. waited at least 10-mins to get the waiter. At this point - chose not to get another entree. Nothing from the waiter or manager except that entrée was taken off the bill. :( :(

Yelp
I popped into Empire Steakhouse late one evening, and I grabbed a table. The restaurant was still hopping late at night. I ordered a petite filet mignon, and a side of creamed spinach. My food took a while to come out of the kitchen, but it was worth the wait. The filet was excellent, and the spinach was very good. I ordered a Tito's and soda, as well as a glass of Malbec. I'd like to add that the service was quick, and very polite. And now for the bill. I thought that everything was fairly priced except for my cocktail. Who charges $20 for a f*cking Tito's and soda?

Yelp
Grabbed their Quick Lunch Menu sometime this past week and was astonished. The caliber of service, flavor and diversity for such a reasonable cost is insane. I also noticed that the setting was so luxurious, and elegant. I think it would be a great place to celebrate a special dinner or just to treat yourself after a long work week. I recommend their French Phantom Manhattan, it's a knockout cocktail with harmonious flavor. Every dish ordered was prepped with precision, from the Mixed Salad to the Filet Mignon.. The best steak I have ever eaten from a restaurant, and I can't wait to return and taste the other menu highlights. They pay a lot of attention to what you want to order and make sure to give great suggestions on what to order based on that which is so helpful. I hope to enjoy a dinner there soon with more loved ones.

Yelp
First I must say the interior of the restaurant is amazing. Old school opera house/cabaret and you can envision this while sitting. We had a nice corner booth for two, where we could sit next to one another. We were greeted immediately with all of the usual fine steakhouse introductions. Opted for the sparkling water and a bottle of red the mixed green salad and I must say it was one of the best salad dressings I've had. Of course I asked about the recipe and surely received lots of vague answers . We grabbed the Empire Filet for Two and loved it. Comes out on a sizzling plate, top notch service of the food and cooked to perfection. Get it rare and if not cooked enough, let the plate cook it more. Everything was exceptional as expected. Touchdown!

Yelp
Came here for restaurant week with friends. It was a 60 dollars for one appetizer , main dish, and one dessert. I got the fresh Mozzarella with beefsteak tomato , ny strip steak , and tiramisu. The steak was cooked just as I ordered and it was very tasty and juicy. The interior was spacious and amazing. The service was great and the staff were very attentive.

Yelp
We ate here for lunch during restaurant week special for $45. Beautiful restaurant! The servers were very friendly, they seated us immediately. We had reservations via Open Table but there's was enough room for a walk in on a Monday afternoon. The three slices of bread was warm and we had it with the butter. For starters: - Extra Thick Sizzling Canadian Bacon: the meat melts in your mouth and lived up to its name, the bacon is thick. - Fried Calamari: crispy and delicious! It comes with the sauce. Entree: - Filet Mignon: you can choose how the meat is cooked, we chose medium. They gave us a special knife to cut the meat. On the table there's pepper shaker and their signature Empire sauce to use if you like. Desserts: - NY Cheesecake: delicious and right amount of creaminess, it came with a ball of whipped cream and sprinkle of cocoa on the dish. - Tiramisu: it came with a ball of whipped cream and sprinkle of cocoa on the dish. Personal opinion the NY cheesecake taste better. Would highly recommend coming here!

Yelp
Great service at bar; nice holiday ambiance; tasty burgers! Cold fries though :( Went because the reservation for 230p I made through Open Table for the Burger Bar was a bust- apparently they were closed for a private party, and open at 4p in general. Really aggravating.

Yelp
Second time visit. Great steak house! We were planning for the restaurant week lunch, however, they recommended us the Quick Lunch menu. The Quick lunch menu has a lot more selections and cost less! The foods were great and the dishes portion were large as it always! The dining atmosphere is nice, and the service was excellent! Highly recommended!

Yelp
If i could give 0 stars I would. the manager was so nasty and rude. He sent out my steak well done, which i did not order. He then sent it out ICE COLD, I'm amazed I didn't chip a tooth. Then, after voicing my concerns, the manager got in our face and was yelling at us, and was asking "what do you expect me to do?!". So awful, it was actually scary!!! I even paid in cash in fear of this manager having my card information and my name. I will never come here again!
google avatar

Yelp
The Empire Steak House combines 1990's wine bar ambiance with dining room options worthy of weddings and other events. A great place for music and dancing with okay acoustics. For food stick with medium rare porterhouse steak, and ravioli. The service is enthusiastic and polite always.
google avatar

George G.

Yelp
Overall, pretty good experience. The filet with peppercorn sauce was bomb. Valentina the bar tender is awesome!

Tyler T.

Yelp
let me start by saying I came with my mother who is very sick with cancer and is unable to drink alcohol, so for her we dont drink, and she is unable to eat large meals. immediately when the server learned we werent drinking it was clear he was uninterested in our table from that point on because it wasnt going to be a high billed table, we watched as our sever catered to all the other tables around us to make sure they had everything they needed while we waited over 30 minutes just to talk to someone. I ended up having to go to the host station just to pay. when were paying over $200 for a meal I expect much better. We will not be coming back. and we don't recommend anyone who cares about good service to go as well.

Yelp
My brother took me here after work as an early birthday surprise . I would've loved to make some content but i wasn't prepared . The atmosphere and scenery is gorgeous. The customer service is great and we were very well attended to . The porterhouse steak for two was perfect !! The Mac and cheese was yummy , and the spinach dip as well . That Canadian slice bacon appetizer is cooked to perfection . The drinks were tasty and gave a nice buzz . The cheesecake they brung out to sing me happy birthday was good . All around 5 stars . Will be back for a dateeeeee

Yelp
Savoring the Flavors of Steak and Seafood at the Eastside Empire Steak House on E50th My holiday was brightened by the Eastside Empire Steak House on E50th, where I enjoyed the hospitality of my good friends and owners Jack and Jeff Sinanaj. They made me feel like family and welcomed me with their warm, friendly, and professional service. The food at Empire Steak House was beyond amazing. I savored every bite of the tender and juicy steaks, the fresh and delicious seafood, the crisp and light salads, and the flavorful sides that matched the main courses perfectly. The espresso, a perfect finale, was smooth and rich. Among the many dishes, the Grilled Branzino with Whole Mediterranean Bass stood out for me. It was cooked to perfection, with garlic, parsley, capers, and olive oil adding a touch of zest. It was a heavenly experience, melting in my mouth with each bite. I highly recommend the Eastside Empire Steak House on E50th to anyone who loves steak, seafood, or both. You will be impressed by the quality, quantity, and variety of the food, as well as the charming atmosphere, excellent service, and warm hospitality. It is a true treasure in the heart of New York City, inviting you to enjoy its culinary delights.
google avatar

Leonel J.

Yelp
Walking into Empire Steakhouse, I wasn't sure what to expect. But any reservations vanished with the first bite of my perfectly cooked Branzino. The attentive and friendly staff made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The high-class ambiance added a touch of elegance to the evening. Overall, a hidden gem!

Yelp
The decor at the east 50th location is absolutely amazing. Mom and I had a wonderful experience. The food on the restaurant week menu tasted delicious, and the service was superb. I will be back soon!!

Yelp
We were in NYC for a girls trip to celebrate birthdays and it was the best meal in the city. The staff made you feel like family and was so attentive. We had a quiet relaxing meal and did not feel rushed. I started off with oysters on the half shell which were fresh and wonderful. For my entree I had the NY Strip that was cooked perfectly. This is the place to dine if you are looking for a great meal.

Suzanne Z.

Yelp
Food was delicious, service awesome. We went to the wrong location of the two they have, but they quickly figured it out & escorted us in graciously to a fab meal!

Yelp
Tonight, my friend and I enjoyed a show at Studio 54 and had dinner at Empire Steak House. We make it a habit to attend shows every weekend and explore various restaurants, ranging from luxury to more casual ones. Some we love, some we like, and some not so much. I highly recommend Empire Steakhouse, especially for the exceptional service we received from Albert, the manager. He was friendly, helpful, and extremely accommodating. The food surpassed our expectations in taste. I'm usually critical in my reviews, but if you find yourself on 54th between Broadway and 7th, you must dine there. I assure you won't be disappointed. Don't forget to conclude your delightful meal with their chocolate mousse cake.

Yelp
I wish I could differentiate this 5 star from the other 5 stars I have given. It truly was a fantastic experience from start to finish. From the host, to the service, the ambience, vibe, music, lights, the food (wow, muah, chef's kisses), and the drinks, everything was an absolute 5 star experience. The place is deceptively large. There are large bar/lounge/waiting area at the front of the restaurant. Then as you're escorted by your host to your table, you are brought into this grand room with a wall/wine cellar. The back room, behind the wine cellar is a great location for a romantic date night. There's also an upstairs area, although I'm not sure if that's a rented venue space or an extension of the main dining area. The staff were incredible nice and helpful with our questions. We started with the oysters and calamari (both of which were delicious). I had the sirloin steak and it was cooked perfectly medium-rare as requested, which came with mashed potatoes and broccoli. I also had a couple of tiramisu martinis (similar to espresso martinis), which were both strong and tasty. I ended the night with the perfectly decadent chocolate mousse cake.

Yelp
In NYC second to last night. Decided it was Steak night. Found what should have been a great place but apparently they won't let riff-raff like me in, not in shorts or short sleeves. As I didn't bring long sleeved shirts, I had to go elsewhere. Ended up at Empire Steak House. Wow, am I glad Mastro's (4.5 Stars) would not let me in. Empire (5.0 Stars) just gave me THE best steak dinner, perhaps best Dinner, I have had in years. I have been to Black+Blue in Vancouver and had Wagyu but the meal was not as good as the regular steak here. I had the Octopus appetizer, which is by far the best I ever had. Served on a sautéed garlic spinach. Superb. For the main I had the bone in Ribeye which was huge, tender, delicious and perfectly cooked rare. Best steak in years. I paired these with a bottle of Faust wine and for dessert I had a glass of 30 YO Port. The service was extraordinary and far superior to anything I have seen in Vancouver (and elsewhere for that matter) in many many years. A magnificent meal and evening. Wish my partner Simona Sy was here with me. Another trip back to NY!

Yelp
The service was great here. I got the surf and surf which it was restaurant week so prices were amazing. Food was OK. Nothing great but it was good.

Yelp
Yelp recommended this very highly. I've only been to one other steak house in the city and it was amazing steak and food with poor setting. So we wanted something with a nicer atmosphere because we were bringing family. The wait staff were all fantastic. Great service, very informative and polite. Can't say enough about them! Food. The bread was probably top 3 of the fluffiest I've EVER had. Very tasty and warm, could have used more butter with it. The appetizers we ordered were fried calamari, and we each had a salad. All great! Main courses were a mix of steaks and lamb. I myself received the Porterhouse, which normally when it says for 2... means it's just a bit larger. No, this was huge. Sadly, it was not flavourful at all. Both my wife and I agreed that our steaks were not seasoned or were done very, very lightly. Dessert was on the house, as it was a birthday. Tiramisu, cheese cake, and chocolate mousse cake. Easily the best part of the meal, who their baker is... top notch! Overall, I can't bring myself to rate it any higher than a 3 and probably won't return here anytime in the near future.

Jane F.

Yelp
Dined here last night and it was fabulous. The steak came out sizzling and perfectly cooked. The sauteed spinach with slices of perfectly browned garlic was delicious. Topped off with a piece of chocolate mousse cake with the most decadent homemade whipped cream on the side. The service was excellent, special thanks to our waiter Oscar. Would definitely go back.

Jessica L.

Yelp
Everything was so amazing from the food to the service. The place is so cozy and I love the booth they sat us in. It was very intimate. The entire staff is great but our server Alan was top tier. Definitely made us want to come back.

Yelp
Definitely a must try in NYC! My boyfriend and I came here after seeing Chicago on Broadway, and it was an incredible experience all around. The food was phenomenal, and the wine was exquisite. My boyfriend wanted to order from the lunch menu at dinner, and the staff went above and beyond to meet his wish. I ordered the chicken caesar salad and when I say that it was the best salad I've ever had, I mean it! Service was great, the waiter was kind and exceeded our expectations. Very quick service too, which was a pleasant surprise for such a nice restaurant. The dining room was very dark and beautifully decorated with ambient lighting and candles. If I ever end back up in NYC, I'll be sure to stop here again.

Yelp
Came here to try their restaurant week menu & even put in our Open Table reservation that we were coming for restaurant week, but was never told until after we sat down that the restaurant week deals are not available on weekends. It doesn't stay that anywhere on the menu that was posted on the restaurant week website. All that aside, the food and service here were great. As soon as we stepped inside, we were greeted. Then we got a basket of warm bread & butter. For appetizers, we got 12 oysters in half shell, fried calamari, Canadian bacon, and tuna tartare to start. The oysters were very fresh and plated in a bed of ice with cocktail sauce, lemons, and sauerkraut. My second favorite thing was the tuna tartare which came with an avocado sauce. The calamari had flies buzzing around it. Then came our filet mignon & rack of lamb. Both were extremely tender. I felt like the lamb was over salted, but my boyfriend liked it. We got fries & truffle Mac and cheese. The truffle mac was SO good, but very filling. Overall, our experience was good, but I do wish they had called to let us know restaurant week deals weren't available after seeing that on the reservation.

Yelp
My overall review is that this is a restaurant masquerading as a steakhouse to take advantage of that upscale market and pricing. The wait staff was friendly and attentive, but the food was very disappointing. Summary: My wife's ordered a medium-rare fillet, and it came very rare, even cold inside. I ordered the dover sole, which should be an incredibly delicate, melt-in-your-mouth fish with a very light butter sauce to not mask the flavor, and mine was tough, fry, and drowned in a thick sauce that masked everything. I ordered the lentil soup of the day, and got beef barley soup. ?. They didn't have lentil and tried to fool me. We ordered fromage for dessert, and got cheese kitchen scraps of chunks of bleu cheese from the wedge salad, cheddar, and parmesan they use for pasta... terrible. Tried to pawn that off on us too. They are pretenders.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday night. The hotel is very elegant looking. Service was top notch. And the food was excellent and not too pricey. Bone-in ribeye was huge and cooked perfectly. Cocktail was kinda strong, but I liked it.

Yelp
Attended for restaurant week. Portions were good for $60 you get an appetizer, entree (served with mashed potatoes and broccoli) along with dessert. Food was delicious I would say the seating could've been improved. The restaurant wasn't quite very full and we were a party of 3 squeezed next to a large group of about 20. Each time servers had to serve the large group we had to push our chairs in at our table... Would've been better if they could've reseated us somewhere else.

Yelp
Went here for a second time for my sisters 18th birthday. I decided to get the wine room for a party of 16 with a four course dinner. Once again they did not disappoint! Upon arrival, we were quickly seated and was able to do minor decorations before people came. Shout out to Vino who was our waiter for the second time and remembered us. He was very helpful and made our experience so much better. I didn't have to ask for anything. The service is phenomenal! We got 1st course: bacon, oysters , calamari 2nd course: Cesar salad 3rd: lamb chops, filet mignon, NY strip steak, lobster ravioli 4th course: assortments of desserts Will definitely come back. Everything is great!

Yelp
Great food and beautiful restaurant. Came for restaurant week and tried the calamari and sirloin steak. Both were delicious, although the steak was just slightly dry. I would recommend.

Yelp
Great food and service! The steaks were cooked to perfection! The staff knew we had tickets to a show and made sure we enjoyed the meal and had time to get to the theatre without rushing us. We will be back
