This is a really fun place to shop. TONS of stuff, running the gamut from silly to serious. In between visits to Salem, I'm able to pop in here for very basic ritual supplies such as candles, bagged herbs, and quality incense. Mostly, though, it's gift-y, home decor type things, and jewelry. They carry lots of statuary, with an emphasis on Buddhist and Hindu images, some Celtic, and lots of general Wiccan Goddess figures. I'd like to see more Norse deities, but what they have is nice. There's a book section that's as comprehensive as you're likely to find in the state, and plenty of tarot decks to choose from. Upstairs, there are t-shirts, hempy hippie clothes, and some ren-faire dresses to choose from, all quite reasonably priced.
The way the store's arranged is a little mazelike and disorienting until you get used to it. The staff I've spoken to have been businesslike but friendly. However, occasionally I've encountered shoppers who have been pretty disrespectful and rude with regards to the religious merchandise, but that reflects on them, not the store. All in all, Enchantments is a great asset to the area, and I highly recommend it to all the hippies, Pagans, Wiccans, earth mamas and free thinkers in the state.
