Disney Wish Food: What to Eat on Disney’s Newest Cruise Ship | Eater

"A refined, marble-and-gold dining room led by chef Arnaud Lallemant offering multi-course tasting menus that aim for fine-dining heights; highlights include a wild halibut with vermouth sauce and a 12-hour stewed tomato served multiple ways, Maine lobster with caviar, and a glazed chocolate mousse finished with silver leaf. The cuisine and service are presented with white-glove attention and several standout plates (including a foie gras and squab pigeon layered in puff pastry noted as a top bite), making the experience feel transported beyond the ship’s family attractions." - Carlye Wisel

I really wish our experience at Enchantment's had been better. The store itself is large, with so many fun items to look through. I could have/would have spent hours browsing if it wasn’t for the rest of our experience. Most of those items are behind locked glass making browsing difficult. All of this however was no big deal. I found the worse part is how the employees treat customers. It was apparent they’re taught to closely monitor shoppers. Which I do understand shop lifting may occur in a large store such as this with tons of nooks and crannies but 90% of the inventory is behind locked glass. The items that aren’t locked up are large and would be very difficult to run off with. Being trailed around a store is not enjoyable for me. I love to leisurely browse a store such as this, sometimes spending an hour really looking at all the inventory but inevitably I wont return based on how I saw every customer who walked in be treated like a potential thief.

The BEST spiritual shop in midcoast Maine and honestly maybe Maine as a whole, they have sections for literally everything (well to some extent) the employees and owner are the most amazing people and you can tell they are passionate about their job, the prices are amazing and have an amazing variety of altars, stones, tarot, books, literally you name it. It’s amazing the best store I’ve ever been too!

I’m giving four stars because one of the employees there was excellent! Wish. I caught her name but she made the experience in the shop pretty nice. As for two of the other employees one practically following us around the store and keeping an eye on us which was uncomfortable, not sure if it was because we had a 6 year old with us or if she was just trying to keep a eye out if we wanted help with something but it kinda felt weird. The other employee was a older man who couldn’t be bothered to tend to other customers to cash out while standing at the counter for a long time because he was too busy with a customer he was chatting with talking about his ‘energy’ and personal experiences, which isn’t a problem for a short period but you could at least acknowledge the people waiting behind them or let us know he’ll get to us or anything at all lol. The good employee there came up to us to make sure we could get his attention because she saw us waiting there for quite a while and she also had to let him know that there are other customers waiting in line. She then proceeded to engage in conversation while we waited in line to cash out (because the man at the cash register was still going on in his deep conversation) but she was talking to our 6 year old about some of the cool items behind us and she made it feel warm and welcoming. Will return due to this one employee and try it out again. They have so many great things to check out and I would like to bring my mom here in the future. Overall worth going. Hopefully the next time I go I’ll be able to come back and update this and add on a extra star also

My wife and I have been going to Enchantments for years. Sometimes I feel more like I am visiting Boothbay when I am going to Enchantments rather than the reverse. We walked in today and noticed some big changes. First, it is very bright. It used to be just bright enough, lighting soft and inviting. Everything had just the right mixture of light and shadow. Second, the music was so low all I could hear were people’s conversations. There used to be New Age music that filled the space and often reminded me that I should meditate more often. Third, there was no incense burning. They have always burned two different incense together. It was the smell of Enchantments. My wife asked what they were once and now occasionally burns them at our house. Fourth, there used to be a cluttered feeling when you walk through the aisles. Trinkets and others things would brush your shoulder making you feel like you were entering a fantasy land. Now the place is spacious, too spacious, like you’re in a mystical section of Walmart. All these things added to this comfortable feeling like the universe was giving you a hug. The FEELING just seems to have slipped away a bit. I think only someone who has going there for years would notice it. I thought it was just me but wife and I met up after walking around and she noticed it as well. It made us feel a little sad. Things change I guess.

Google
Cool, spiritual shop that caters to all types of spirituality, as well as fantasy, hippie, fairy, witchy type vibes. Very cool place that could be right at home in Salem, Massachusetts. Very inclusive and welcoming. It's Abdolutely amazing place, and it even smells magical. No trip to Boothbay Harbor is complete without a stop here.

Google
This is my favorite shop in Boothbay! If you're into crystals, fairies, dragons, new age, the metaphysical and magical, this is the place for you. The entire store is a maze of unique trinkets waiting to be discovered. My favorite are the crystals 🔮 The employees are very friendly, I've enjoyed chatting with them. If you have small kids it can be tricky to navigate; there are a lot of locked cases, but there's so much more. The entire shop is stuffed floor to ceiling with stuff that little hands just want to touch, so it's a full time job making sure they don't get into stuff. The staff were very patient with my daughter and I though. This is a great establishment!

Google
Cute place filled with so many wonders you could spend hours inside! Friendly staff, plenty of items to find, lovely enchanted corner of the harbor! Not exactly a place for little kids is all.

Yelp
I love Enchantments and have for years. This store is a must- go every time I'm in Maine for at least a few days. It is tough to add pictures because pictures wouldn't do this place any justice. I will say, if you get overwhelmed easily with a press of merchandise all around, you may need to steel yourself before going in. There are a lot of sections of the store, many cases of many things, so it is likely they have something you're looking for, assuming you're looking for magickal, spiritual, or other wares in those veins. There are varying levels of quality and price points. The staff are very nice as well, and if you have a particular interest they can guide you to that which you seek. They have 4 parking spots just for their store, and there is other parking nearby. They do not have a public restroom, that is at the bottom of the hill they're on. They do charge a card fee. If you're in town, or the area, come visit this store. I really think you won't be disappointed that you took the time to do so.

Yelp
This isn't just a store, it's local flavor! Even if you buy nothing, you HAVE to come here just to walk around. There is SO MUCH TO LOOK AT. Every single inch, every nook and cranny, has something going on. Also - how can you not love a place that has glitter confetti ALL OVER THE GROUND?! It's a two-story "theater" (their words) offering "metaphysical gifts including Wiccan, spiritual, fantasy, and extramundane needs" (again, their words). My words? It's full of unique things and curiosities and wonders and magic and I don't totally understand everything that's happening here, except this must be the same feeling people in the (19)20's had when a carnival would roll into town... then overnight be gone! There's a few things to note about this store: they prefer you don't touch much (there are signs everywhere asking that you not) and they prefer you don't take photos (which is why you don't see many). And, because there's an overwhelming amount of stuff it can a) be very easy to get turned around in and b) can be difficult to navigate the extremely narrow aisles. Just be patient and allow yourself to take it all in!

Yelp
A magical shop to find all your magical wants and must haves. Every nook and cranny has something to see! Believe me this is a shop you need to visit! Two floors to explore with glitter on the floor. Customer service is the best. We were so happy and surprised they have 4 parking spots for customers only! Looking forward to going back and purchasing an unique magical item or two!

Yelp
Ah, Enchantments. This was a fascinating shop to say the least. It has its charm but in a very odd way. You know you've arrived by the sound of the many chimes and colorful kites blowing in the sea salted wind. When entering, you're immediately overwhelmed by too much to see and the infinite amount of glitter scattered throughout the store's flooring. Once you get passed the crowds in the front, you can finally breath a bit. This shop has everything: tarot cards, crystals, trinkets, jewelers, home decor, wall decor, clothing, religious/folklore/culture figurines/items, and even pop culture collectible figurines. It's a hodgepodge of a store and it's truly captivating. I didn't buy anything, though. It was so overwhelming and I don't even know who was working there besides the lady upstairs hidden in a corner waiting to read tarot cards to customers. Prices are pretty normal except for a few outrageously priced crystals and jewelry. I ended up googling a few items because I was shocked by the price...it was only a slight markup. They have to make their money somehow. Anyways, this was quite an interesting store. Definitely give yourself about half an hour-an hour to browse this massive spiritual shop.

Yelp
Decided I need to finally go and see this shop for myself, I've had so many friends tell me about it! If you plan on making a visit plan on being here for some time. I walked around the store several times and saw things I missed each time! This place is pa led with anything and everything you could need or want in a metaphysical store! And the people are knowledgeable as well! I talked with Allison and she was a huge help! I'd you have any questions she has the brain you wanna pick! They are in the works of getting there personal online store/website up and running but I'm pretty sure that won't due it justice! You want to see this store in person!

Yelp
Fun little shop to visit. Lots to see and smell. A variety that's got something for almost anyone.

Yelp
I love this place. Great spot to buy gifts. It's not cheap, but it's reasonably priced for the products they sell, and it has a HUGE variety of products for every interest. Magical and immersive atmosphere, a tight fit when passing other shoppers, but it doesn't feel claustrophobic when walking around. High ceilings, a second floor with a few items and occasional tarot card readings. Large book selection, huge tarot deck selection, large jewelry selection, adequate head-shop section with related decorative paraphernalia, large Wicca section with copious amounts of quality non-food-grade dried herbs, adequate crystal selection, with several football/breadbox sized crystals. There are cards and objects from eastern cultures and religions (also some Native American inspired objects and books), but the selection is professional and tasteful, they don't just put a Buddha head on a tchotchke to sell it faster. Chill music playing with the option to purchase what is playing. Hippie-shop style clothing and wall hangings for sale. Great variety of outdoor accoutrements like wind chimes in every size, woven rope swings, flags, kites, and colorful pinwheel birds and creatures for the lawn. Friendly and helpful staff who are always available but don't hover. I felt free to roam the place for over an hour without feeling pressured to buy until I found the perfect thing... or sometimes I don't find something but I get ideas for the next time I come. Nowhere to sit while I peruse the books, but I'm sure they would try to accommodate me if I needed it. Generally good vibes and a positive experience over the last few years I have visited them.

Yelp
Incredible shop! My fiancé and I are on a business trip from Arizona and we're currently staying in Bath! Was looking around on Yelp for something fun to do and found this place! We drove nearly 40 minutes just to come here, and was not disappointed in the slightest. This place has an incredible selection of knives, paraphernalia, spirituality, 70s clothing, books, music, stones, accessories, posters, tapestries, and so much more. There was so much to look at, i'm sure we didn't see everything, despite being there for around 30+ minutes. Staff was incredibly helpful and if we ever return to Maine, wed sure as heck be coming back there.

Yelp
I LOVED this store but man, there is SO much stuff. You could literally spend 3-4 hours & still not see everything. Their pricing was pretty good. Staff was super friendly. A great deal of items are on display in cases & you have to have assistance to look at them. I understand because many items are smaller & could easily be taken, but I imagine on a busy day, this could cause some issues. My only complaint is it was quite warm inside, I would have spent more time shopping but I couldn't handle how hot I was getting.
google avatar

Jake B.

Yelp
Very nice inside tons of things to look at and the prices are pretty fair! My only thing was yes it's easier to be inside without a mask that being said employees should be wearing masks while dealing with customers at least other then that nice people.

Yelp
Going in this store is kind of like being at a Ren faire, or a comfortingly less bougie Mexicali Blues. It's atmospheric and kinda kitschy and has a nice incense smell throughout. It's fun to walk through, with a lot of glittery pretty stuff to look at kind of like you're walking through an I Spy page. There is pretty good variety of products. There is a lot of nice decorative stuff tucked upstairs especially. That said, employees will ask you not to take pictures inside, which I found super weird. Enjoy it for what it is!

Yelp
An actual Dinner Theater FILLED with New Age, metaphysical, wiccan and "head-shop", hippie type items! 1,000s of books, CDs, statuary, incense, bumper stickers, cards, buttons, candles, etc. It would take days to see it all !!!!! Like stepping into another world. Crystals, jewelry, clothing, and so much more! Stuff you can't find in any mall. Do check this place out.

Yelp
Probably the coolest store I've ever been in. They have EVERYTHING from tapestries to witch craft books. Careful though this store may be cool af but they don't allow pictures taken in the store. Don't be afraid to ask if they ship out of state. The staff is amazingly friendly and they even have an online store with the most unique items.

Yelp
One of the most magical places I'm aware of in Maine 30 years of serving communities with with mystical gifts and Enchantments. The is a beautiful place year around little duck ins every where and friendly people, very down to earth place to visit Bless the owners for making a Dreamy Space

Yelp
Enchantments is one of the coolest stores on the face of the planet. It is the magic that Boothbay Harbor deserves. They have an incredible and extensive inventory of different products including of the best crystals around and all the metaphysic equipment you might need. Visiting Enchantments alone is worth a trip to Boothbay.

Yelp
Have you ever been in a store where you could wander for hours and never see it all? This is the place. I LOVE Enchantments. The floor is carpeted with glitter (no joke), the music is new age (usually chanting) and the scent of incense is in the air. This is THE store to visit if you come to Boothbay Harbor. It's a new age warehouse of stuff. There are books about everything from witchcraft, healing, self-help and tarot. There are decks and decks of tarot cards and boxes of incense. Come here for healing herbs, crystals, prayer mats, potion books, jewelry, wind chimes, candles, posters, signs, adult smoking paraphernalia, etc. This store is chock full and I mean FULL. I wandered in circles and still didn't see it all. There are giant geodes and crystals. Tons of jewelry cases filled with pentacles, celtic knots and healing crystal pendants. Plus don't forget there are glass cases filled with statues of dragons, Buddhist gods, Lord of the Rings swag and Game of Thrones themed stuff. I could go on and on about the amount of things in this store but I wouldn't have enough characters to write about it all. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I recommend going during the fall (they are open year-round) when it is less busy, that way you can take time to explore all the goodies. I always feel so relaxed after visiting here. I'm definitely not a new age person but it doesn't matter. The atmosphere is so chill and it is the reason I visit Boothbay Harbor. I've just gotta get my Enchantments fix. There is no other store in Maine like it.

Yelp
So sad to write this review. For 10 years I've travelled from Brooklyn, NY to make my visit to this shop. the last visit was not a pleasurable one. The energy was so thick you can cut it with a knife. I felt so disappointed that "like minded" ppl could be so rude. I'm truly sad about this one. I probably will never go back in this shop again.

Yelp
I have been going to this wonderful shop over the years while on vacation here and I continue to live this place more and more

Yelp
This is an amazing store in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. If you are around this neck of the woods, I highly recommend you visit this store. You will be completely blown away.

Yelp
Extremly rude shop owner. We came in to take a look around after hearing there were cool things inside, but the owner was so nasty to us, we soon felt uncomfortable and left. I was with Asian friends, and his constant rude noises and glares made me thing it had to do with their race. Will never go back!

John L.

Yelp
Karen L., unfortunately you're right on the mark. When you walk in to this shop, you're stimulated by the overall ambience. BUT.... as soon as you interact with the person (owner?) who appears to be in charge, you're completely drained of any enthusiasm and positive energy that you may have had when you walked in. He makes it clear that he has no interest in his new customers. He seems to be obsessed with his past customers who he clearly didn't connect with, as evidenced by the prohibitive signage everywhere "Don't touch", "No strollers", "Don't touch...." No smile, no hello, no nothing. You said it right: So sad.

Yelp
This is a really fun place to shop. TONS of stuff, running the gamut from silly to serious. In between visits to Salem, I'm able to pop in here for very basic ritual supplies such as candles, bagged herbs, and quality incense. Mostly, though, it's gift-y, home decor type things, and jewelry. They carry lots of statuary, with an emphasis on Buddhist and Hindu images, some Celtic, and lots of general Wiccan Goddess figures. I'd like to see more Norse deities, but what they have is nice. There's a book section that's as comprehensive as you're likely to find in the state, and plenty of tarot decks to choose from. Upstairs, there are t-shirts, hempy hippie clothes, and some ren-faire dresses to choose from, all quite reasonably priced. The way the store's arranged is a little mazelike and disorienting until you get used to it. The staff I've spoken to have been businesslike but friendly. However, occasionally I've encountered shoppers who have been pretty disrespectful and rude with regards to the religious merchandise, but that reflects on them, not the store. All in all, Enchantments is a great asset to the area, and I highly recommend it to all the hippies, Pagans, Wiccans, earth mamas and free thinkers in the state.

Yelp
Lots of great stuff! If the don't have what your looking for they are happy to order it for you. Good selection of herbs. More than just a "head shop"
google avatar

David W.

Yelp
Very cool hippie shop / head shop. If you're a fan of fairies, gnomes, and goddesses don't miss this Booth Bay treasure.

Mo G.

Yelp
Such a cool store. You could walk in there a thousand times and always see something new. The store is packed with some very interesting items. So fun to look around in here. I notice there are a couple negative reviews regarding the staff/owner. I never encountered a worker while I was there. Luckily, I wasn't looking for any assistance.

Yelp
We stop in pretty much every summer when we are in the neighborhood. Great chaotic place, jammed full of a great variety of mystic / magick / New Age / spiritual / hippie / headshop / meditation / fantasy stuff, sculpture, wands, tarot decks, books, flags and banners, clothes, bumper stickers, CDs, wind chimes, art, incense, burners, pipes, jewelry, crystals and crystal balls, and just about anything you can think of along those lines. Probably have little jars of Eye of Newt and Toe of Frog behind the counter somewhere! All in all a fun place to stop whether you're a serious seeker for the truth, or just looking for some sparkly 60's plastic jewelry or a Cd of whale sounds...

Liz I.

Yelp
I was truly enchanted by Enchantments. The CD selection was incredible. I am always on the hunt for soothing tunes and this hit the spot. The people working had the chillest vibes. I bought an evil eye for my new place. Don't overlook the artful lawn decor.

Yelp
