"We’re guessing you’ve been eating more sandwiches than usual these days. We’re also guessing your current deli meat isn’t as good as what you can get at Ends Meat. Their Industry City and Market Line locations are both delivering meat, sandwiches, and sides like pickles and olives all over Manhattan and Brooklyn right now (call 929-306-6014 for Manhattan, and 718-801-8895 for Brooklyn). They’re available every day, just make sure to place your order before 4pm. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

Ends Meat at the Market Line on the LES Serves an Exceptional Muffuletta - Eater NY

"Ends Meat is a butcher and cold cut purveyor in the newly opened Market Line. The ingredients in its muffuletta diverge slightly from the original, though the use of a housemade mortadella knocks the sandwich for a home run. The cheeses are provolone and mozzarella, and the sandwich is sold by the quarter ($12). It almost tastes as good as the original, and a quarter sandwich is more than enough for anyone." - Robert Sietsema

I drive into the city every 3-4 months and I make this place a must visit. Best steaks I have had in a long time. You won't go wrong with the Denver cut. Check out the marbling.

Google
really awesome butcher shop with great specialty products and italian cured meat specialties. the peeps working here are very attentive and super chill. i've used the guanciale on pizza and for pasta and loved it. just had the sandwich for the first time (HAMwich) and it was divine. perfectly medleys or creamy sweet tangy and hints of spicy. it was a perfect pregame to a day. can't wait to come back.

Ends Meat is a high end meat market that will inspire you to cook more. I like making bone in katsu with the pork chops, which generally has great marbling and a reddish flesh. Dry aged beef is a splurge, so I usually grab a dry-age beef patty for burgers with poppy buns from Davidovich bakery. Best deal is the ground beef and pork, which are both fantastic in quality and makes a killer ragu when you add Italian sausages. The cold cuts and charcuterie are good, too, but there is a dedicated vendor upstairs that has a better tasting selection.

Great selection of fresh meats. Also a really good roast beef sandwich. This place is run by super nice people.

We bought a porterhouse steak yesterday that was grassfed. One steak fed 2 people! The meat was immaculate and we enjoyed every bite. We'll definitely be regulars here now. The staff is perfectly lovely and gave great advice on how to best prepare the meat. I'd highly encourage everyone to try this place!

Google
The meats look great too, but I am rating the sandwich I had there. I’m a huge sandwich fan and roast beef is not my go-to, but their Roast Beast sandwich is possibly my favorite sandwich in lower Manhattan (where I live).

Google
Great butcher shop that sells cheese and sandwiches as well. This was at their location at The Market Line located at the lower level of Essex Market. Both these sandwiches were great. They only have 2 sandwiches at this location. Their other spot in Indiustry City had a larger selection and burgers. We had the Roast Beast and the Hamwhich. The roast beats had grass fed beef, NY cheddar, smoked onion, dilli sauce and Watercress, served hot on a ciabatta bread. Really good and filling. The Hamwhich had smoked ham, warm goat cheese, calibrian chilli, local honey, apple and crispy onion. This sando does pack a little.heat, so be careful if you can't handle spice. This had layers of flavor and the chilli gives it a kick.

You guys should really update your website and Google hours as well as your phone line because this location is closed. This is the second time I’ve come here and it was closed even though it says otherwise online and over the phone.

Yelp
Loving this place. Everything there is super fresh. Very Innovative sandwiches! I had the HamWich with smoked ham, goat cheese, Calabrian chili honey and sliced apple. It was delicious and refreshingly different.

Yelp
Freshest meat cut for your sandwich, incredible bread with fresh toppings and a balance of sauce that compliments the sandwich without over powering it. A must try in Essex market

Yelp
If there's one thing to know about John Ratliff, the dude really knows his meat. Whether it's charcuterie, or aged steaks, or even sandwiches, Ends Meat is quality through and through. My friends and I have been supporting him ever since he was running a small operation out of Greenpoint. Now he has the Industry City flagship, and this new location at The Market Line at Essex Market (don't ask me why they separate the branding because it makes absolutely no sense). You can't miss Ends Meat - they're right at the left of the stairs when you downstairs to The Market Line. They have big glass displays of all their charcuterie/cheese, and meats. Everything you'd need for a fancy dinner party, or just a tasty dinner. They have whole ducks, house-made sausages, all different cuts of steak (some I'd never even heard of), pork, chicken, and even lard! They'll even vacuum seal your meats so you can travel with it! Towards the back register is also a window of their dry aged meats. This is where the true magic is! I've had a bunch of their stuff before (and was a longstanding member of their Meat Club!) so I know everything is quality. However, on this particular day, I was just there for lunch and got their take on the Muffaletta. Sure, it's no NOLA sandwich, but it was still pretty damn good. It may look small, but the thing is stuffed with meats and the delicious sesame bun brings it all together. Stop by, tell John I said hi, and be prepared for the best meat money can buy!

Yelp
I highly recommend Ends Meat located on the lower level of Essex Market. It's the place to go for dry aged, 100% grass fed, hormone and antibiotic free beef. They also have outstanding chicken, pork and cheese.

Yelp
Had the Bahn-Morty and the HAMwich. The Bahn-Morty wasn't really my thing (I just prefer a less sour kimchi is probably why), but the HAMwich was incredible. The bread they use is very good, perfect soft-but-crunchy bite and really really good flavor. The honey chili spread should be used a currency it's so good. Get the HAMwich 100%. It's a perfect sandwich.

Yelp
The sandwich was alright but the main guy at the counter really needs some customer service training or they need more than one person working. I come to the counter and I see him busy making sandwiches. He looks up and sees me and continues working without saying anything. I stand there for another 5 mins awkwardly waiting until he looks up again seemingly pissed I'm still there and now tells me it's going to be awhile until he can help me because he's busy with other orders. I'm feeling I'm inconveniencing him so I tell him it's no problem because I really wanted a sandwich and I had the time. I wait for another 10 min for him and I order a sandwich off their limited menu and he immediately tells me he doesn't have it. I select another one and he says same thing so I end up asking what do you have. Maybe give people a heads up before I start ordering so it doesn't end up being a weird game? I pay and I ask for the Apple Pay discount that's marketed everywhere downstairs and he says oh ya we are not doing that. Well it clearly says he should but I don't need to argue about a discount so I pay to be done with this guy. This place isn't usually that busy so I'm not sure why he feels like ordering food from him is a huge inconvenience. The sandwich was not worth the experience.

Yelp
Spoke with ryan who gave me an absolutely amazing piece of top round, this guy is great and the shop is beautiful. Located downstairs in Essex market. When I went it was evening and they had live music and a bunch of other cool places to check out.

Yelp
I was in the neighborhood looking for dry-aged steaks. This place has it. Unfortunately, I received negative energies from the man with the club foot running the place. I felt really bad. I would only return if he is not there. In the meantime, I will seek out other butchers for dry aged steaks.

Yelp
I got the muffuletta sandwich which consisted of marinated olive salad, salami, ham, Swiss cheese, provolone, and mortadella. Every item was thinly sliced. The sandwiches was delicious, thin enough that you can bite in it. I killed half the sandwich in no time. As I am writing about it, I am craving it, 11am can't come early enough

Yelp
If you want to make a really tasty burger, go here and buy some excellent ground meat. The service is knowledgeable, swift and friendly. I used to go there to get the muffuletta sandwich. When I asked about that, the butcher told me that they would make them again when more customers return. So fellow Yelpers, get out there, buy some stuff and help me get closer to getting a real NY Muffuletta.

Yelp
Best butcher in NYC. Easy. John works hard making the tastiest sausages, Try them all. The beef, pork, chicken - all amazing quality. I've tried almost everything since they have opened. Love these guys.

Yelp
I visited the ends meat shop inside the essex market today and was impressed with the quality of the cold cuts served. I was served a sample platter of four meats sliced thin ,each in a small mound, with an excellent french bagette and triple soft french brie, some green olives and garlic pickles also crisp crackers all for $20. Great service. I will make this a regular stop.

Yelp
I love this place. They have fair prices (especially for manhattan), excellent products, and the service is really friendly. Very glad they've opened a second location closer to me as I plan to be shopping here on a regular basis!
