"Corsi has always been a lunchtime favorite with local businessmen and women who keep coming back for its pasta e Fagioli (chickpea and pasta soup), along with other favorites on the very affordable and very Roman menu. Expect traditional Roman dishes like saltimbocca alla Romana (thin veal medallions with prosciutto and sage), carbonara, amatriciana, and trippa alla Romana (Roman-style tripe). Corsi is open for dinner on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings."

The Last of Rome’s Family-Run Trattorias | Eater

"Tucked on a small side street between the Pantheon and the Forum, this longtime enoteca began as a wine shop in 1929 and moved into a former post office within a few years; it’s divided into two rooms, one of which is a true temple to wine with thousands of bottles on display. The gruff co-owner prides himself on a mixed clientele—nobility, politicians, celebrities and laborers—and on staying a little hidden, which has helped the place resist touristy pretensions and retain an authentic, convivial atmosphere." - Eric J. You can’t beat an authentic Italian dinner whilst in Rome. Serviced with a vast selection of Italian wines, it’s a hidden gem. Service was great and everything is serviced at the same time, warm and well seasoned and flavoursome. Great menu selection. Will be back. Booking essential for larger groups.

Loved the traditional style in this restaurant with all the plaques and awards hung up on their walls with pictures of their foods and newspapers! It created such a traditional and unique atmosphere for the restaurant. Pasta was good, I had the stuffed ravioli which was delicious! The staff complimented our family and said we were beautiful from such a unique and special country!

Not gonna go into tons of detail, you know you're in the right place when you're surrounded by Italian guests. Super attentive staff, quick service and really great home style food.

Updated Review (changing to 1 star): I am updating my review from 3 stars to 1 star due to the owner's rude and insulting response below. Instead of acknowledging our experience, the owner accused me of lying and responded with an unnecessary insult. To clarify: the waitress did not inform us that the dishes we came for were only served at dinner; she simply said, “We don’t have it TODAY.”, and walked away. We asked for three dishes at three different times ( rabbit, a seafood dish, and tiramisu), each time she just responded “ we don’t have it today” and immediately left our table. If we had known the food we were asking for were for dinner menu, we would have returned in the evening and not wasting everyone’s time. It’s unfortunate that instead of addressing this politely, the owner chose to respond with hostility. I share this so that future visitors are aware to call ahead to confirm availability if there are specific dishes they want to try…. Or simply, just choose another place with good food and good service. Original review: We came in for the food that is supposed to be famous or most people ordered ( I.e rabbit, seafood, etc) but unfortunately they changed their menu to a mediocre selection of Roman food that you can find anywhere else, and didn’t serve anything we wanted based on what we read on their menu and photos posted online. A bit disappointed.

Local, unpretentious and delicious food. Away from the chaos, Enoteca Corsi is tucked away on a quiet street. The place was packed with local Italians, keeping its charm, which many places lack in the centre, it seems. The service was decent - a tad slow sometimes, but no big issue. We asked for a wine recommendation, and the waiter recommended the local Contesa Abruzzo Pecorino, our favourite wine, for our trip. I would highly recommend it! Delicious and wholesome food arrived swiftly. Highly recommend the rabbit dish and Rigatoni Alla Carbonara which was the best plate of pasta I've ever had. Prices were very reasonable, with mains costing 10eu/15eu and a glass of wine costing 5eu I couldn't recommend this place anymore

Google
Delicious, generous, unpretentious food. House wine is also good! Service friendly and prompt. Great prices! Best steak and rabbit we’ve had in 9 weeks travelling Italy.

Yelp
Fantastic experience, one of the best meals we had in Rome. First, you cannot beat the house wine, which is only 10 euro for a giant pitcher. And it only goes up from here... Each pasta we got was incredible. I especially loved the seafood pasta, but you really cannot go wrong with what you get here. Fantastic food. For dessert I became obsessed with the Torta della Nonna - a pine nut pastry that's filled with a little bit of cream. If I have to be critical, which I hate to be since Enoteca Corsi is fantastic, we did not care for the Panna Cotta. It had way too much syrup on top. But overall, a very memorable experience. The employees were also very kind.

Yelp
Make dinner reservation before you show up. Super crowded. Fried artichoke is amazing. Seafood bake is better than New England. Shrimp pasta is perfect. Gnocchi is chewy. Beef with black truffles is out of this world. Meatballs are delicious. Desserts are exceptional at €5 each. Wine are delicious. Expect to pay €120 for a table of 4. Way better than most of the places you see. Voted one of the best Roman restaurants in town. Worth a stop!

Yelp
Amazing in all ways. Excellent, local food with a family feel. Not far from Colosseum and Forum.

Yelp
Good food at a reasonable price. Adequate wine list. Really enjoyed the tapas appetizers

Yelp
We had a memorable meal at this small restaurant popular with the locals. We arrived early to be seated ahead of the lunch rush. The spaghetti alla carbonara was off-the-menu, but we ordered it and it was the best pasta that I had on my Rome trip. The service was courteous even if they didn't seem to enjoy dealing with too many tourists.

Yelp
They're mostly open for lunch and dinner only on Thursdays and Fridays. This was one of the best meals in Italy although the service left a lot to be desired - although that is all of Italy. Starting with the potatoes with truffles which was fantastic. Looks like a scoop of mashed potatoes until you stick your fork in and unleash the cheese. Seafood pasta was fantastic - the sauce was delicious and creamy rather than just buttery. Hubby had lamb which was pretty good l, but his came with a sizable chunk of liver (I don't know if that was all intentional). More liver than meat. House wine was okay here, but they have so many bottled wines to choose from!

Yelp
I was introduced to Enoteca Corsi by an American expat blogger; her description of this simple homely restaurant as an unspoilt refuge of hearty meals for the working class is absolutely spot on. This establishment makes no attempt at upper class pretence and does it wholly unapologetically. When in Rome, do as the Romans do, right? Thus was I talked into the baccalà - a fried fish dish that I can only describe with the word 'sustaining'. I wasn't about to miss out on an opportunity to wolf down as much chicoria as I could lay my cutlery upon during this trip, and Enoteca Corsi's didn't disappoint. Considering its humble paper tableclothed ambiance and familial service, one would expect more modest prices, but I suppose when you're this well-established as a local name and have ceaseless custom (as indicated by the popularity of its weekday lunch meal), you can afford to charge €2-3 per dish more than expected.

Yelp
Great meal! This place caught my eye since it was packed with locals when we walked in. they were out of a few dishes from the daily menu but we helped ourselves to a delicious appetizer of meatballs and polenta then a lamb dish. Skip the grilled cheese sandwich. It was meh. The service was friendly and the bathrooms are clean! Great for a quick low key lunch.

Yelp
Came here per Rick Steve's recommendation-- it's an okay place to be. Cheap cheap house wine! The old waiter was so sweet, didn't speak a thing of English but gathered the yummies for us at the late hour of their lunch shift. Compared to other places we tried it was alright but 5/5 for hospitality!

Yelp
Great quality food! We tried the vegetarian dishes such as pesto pasta and baked pasta with eggplant and cheese and they were delicious! Their complimentary bread is warm and fresh. Try it with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

Yelp
Off the beaten path. Delicious home made food. Amazing selection of wine. Our favorite dinner experience!

Yelp
My family of 7 had a really lovely dinner here. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was great. The pork and veal were both very yummy, and the pastas were tasty as well. The waitress also recommended a delicious and affordable red wine. We enjoyed ourselves so much we got dessert (and it was good too).

Yelp
Came with a group for lunch and we greeted and seated promptly. Medium sized space able to accommodate a party of 6 easily. Service was quick and impersonal. Pros: seated immediately Food came out FAST Cons: Fast food Italian Food was OK but definitely not on the level of other restaurants I have visited in Rome. Price point is high for the quality of food I would recommend going elsewhere unless in a major time crunch.

Yelp
My friend and I stopped by as we were exploring the city. We were intrigued by all the drink options. One of the employees greeted us and although the business didn't offer wine tasting, they worked something out for us. The were really accommodating and friendly. This is a family owned business and an older man, who appeared to be the owners father, came and greeted us. I highly recommend stopping by for a drink after exploring what the city has to offer.

Yelp
There's more to eat than pizza and spaghetti! Delicious HOME STYLE cooking found HERE! (With popular wine bar adjoining!) All REASONABLY PRICED! VERY RELAXING. If (perchance) you are growing tired of being greeted by waitstaff who look through you or greet you while looking over your head (to their retirement or when they finally get off their shift), well, then you are truly ready for these people: Family-run with WARM, PERSONABLE, INTELLIGENT and ENGAGED service. ALSO: while geared for a LOCAL ITALIAN CLIENTELE Ayana, the waitress, speaks many languages, including Spanish, German and English. Easily the BEST SERVICE in Italy so far. For more of my thoughts see www.alistairavogan.com.

Yelp
A gem. We are traveling by Rome for couple of days. Walking between Coliseum and Pantheon. About half way between if you have time come and try their pesto Fussilini.

Yelp
Just walked by one afternoon and noticed it was packed with locals. Stopped back the very next day. Ended up having lunch here twice in an 8-day stay in Roma. Really the most authentic unpretentious place we ate in the whole week. A family run business - wait staff very attentive - to the locals and Americans equally. Prices very reasonable - good homestyle food - a new menu every day - when an item sells out for the day - that's it. Were disappointed our first day that the artichoke lasagna was sold out (we were there after 2pm) - but we were very happy with what we ordered instead. One day had a house white wine - very nice. The second day bought a bottle of Dolcetto in the store (it's Enoteca Corsi - after all) - and enjoyed it with our meal. A great find - highly recommended.

Yelp
We tried Enoteca Corsi and really enjoyed it. It was a small, no frill restaurant that serves delicious food. My husband had their gnocci and I had their meatball and potato dishes for lunch. Both dishes were really good, but my absolute favorite was the creme brulee. Follow it with an espresso, a great ending to a wonderful meal.

Yelp
GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. save your money and appetite for much better places, ANYWHERE ELSE. I had 10 days in Rome and this was by far the worst meal, they are a TOURIST TRAP and they served bad (e.g., spoilt) wine and did not care. that's the #1 sin for an "enoteca"! Yes...I'm angry I spent even a Euro there, much less wasted a valuable meal at this horrible place that is surely a TOURIST TRAP. DO NOT GO! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! consider yourself warned.

Yelp
Loved this local restaurant. Not full of tourists but full of Romans. Had excellent Bucatini Cacio e pepe. So simple yet wonderful. I will return. Grazie mille

Yelp
Had the pasta Norma and it was cooked well. Thought the service was great , waiter nice and efficient and quiet little locale. Thoroughly pleased.

Lin Y.

Yelp
The food is not deserved to the price. And they charge for extra fees with serving bad service. The worst restaurant I have experienced in Italy. Then if you have other choice, don't go in this one

Yelp
Food was very good. Fresh salads, tasty pasta (artichoke fettucini and seafood risotto) and sweet Tuscan melon for dessert. Friendly servers. Clearly a favorite of locals. Prices reasonable considering central location.
