So this was a new spot I'd heard about from some friends that live in the building. It's got a nice set up with spots at the bar and some two tops inside and out, though I just stayed inside since it was a bit cold that night. They have a good selection of wines, reds, whites, and rosés. It leans Italian, but there's some French and Spanish wines too. I had the Nebbiolo on the recommendation of the owner and it was really great! It's a small business, so the owner was behind the bar and made the food as well (I had the Naples cheese flatbread pizza which was really tasty and filling). Finished it off with an Erdinger non-alc beer which was new for me. Most non-alc beers bars and restaurants carry aren't that great, which was actually something I brought up to the owner. She agreed and said that when she was picking her wine and beer list, she not only wanted to offer something different than most places, but also wanted to make sure everything she offered tasted good too.
Vibe-wise, it feels very neighborly. I happened to strike up convos with a few other people that had stopped in when I was there, all very nice folks. I didn't come with a date, but I could see this as a great spot for couples as well. I'll be back for sure, plus it'll be nice to sit outside once the weather warms up a bit more in the spring. Go!
