Enoteca Roma Ristorante Review - Wicker Park - Chicago - The Infatuation

"At first glance, Enoteca Roma seems like the kind of charming Italian restaurant you’re pretty sure New Yorkers walk by every day, and are probably taking for granted. It’s small and narrow, with only a few tables and a bar on the side of the room. The atmosphere is simple and even kind of sparse, with copper pots hanging on the wall and a large chalkboard with daily specials making up most of the decor. But like Mary Poppins’ magic bag, this place has hidden utility. For example, there’s a huge tree-lined back patio that’s not visible from the street - and a bakery next door that’s owned by the same people, which has extra seating when the main restaurant gets busy. So the initially small-looking space works well for everything from a big group dinner, to a quiet date night, to a solo meal of wine and pasta at the bar when you don’t want to interact with more humans than strictly necessary. photo credit: Susie Lacocque Given how small and cute this place looks, there’s also more on the menu than you might expect. You’ll find a long list of pastas (some housemade), bruschettas, polentas, antipasti, pizzas, entrees, risotto, and daily specials. Focus on the pastas - they’re the ideal delivery system for some very good sauces, like a rich venison bolognese or a flavorful pork sugo. The polenteria section of the menu is worth your time as well - you’ll get polenta poured onto a board tableside, topped with more of the excellent sauces we mentioned. And if you’re with a group, go for some bruschetta, too - they have toppings that are simple-sounding but really good, like apple, honey and brie, or goat cheese and red pepper. Plus, you can mix and match five kinds for $12. There are a few things here you’ll want to skip, though. For example, the Roman-style pizzas, which have disappointing toppings - like cheese that tastes like it belongs on a frozen pizza, or an incredibly vinegary housemade giardiniera. There’s also an overcooked, mushy lasagna that’s only saved by its delicious venison bolognese sauce. Luckily, on such a long menu, these things are easy to avoid. Stick with the dishes we recommend in the rundown, and you won’t have a bad meal. It’s easy to think that New York has us beat on the charming-little-Italian-restaurant front. But this place definitely qualifies, and like a fold-out couch or a dress with pockets, it’s also more versatile than it might immediately appear. So keep it in mind for just about any occasion that will be improved by great pasta you don’t have to plan a month in advance to eat. Food Rundown photo credit: Susie Lacocque Bruschetteria The bruschetta here come in 10 varieties, and you can get a flight of five for $12. Our favorites are the “Vinny” with caramelized onion, the “Calabria” with goat cheese and peppers, and the “Emilia” with prosciutto, tomato, and basil. Chalkboard Specials You’ll find a rotating menu of specials written on a chalkboard, and if something sounds good to you, get it. Especially if it’s the spaghetti with shrimp and saffron that’s served in a parmesan bowl. That’s excellent - tell it we said hi. photo credit: Susie Lacocque Polenteria The polenta is poured tableside onto a slab, and topped with a sauce of your choosing. All the options are good, but our favorite is the corvario, which comes with an incredibly rich and flavorful venison bolognese. photo credit: Susie Lacocque Cervo The campanelle pasta is cooked perfectly, and topped with the same delicious venison bolognese. photo credit: Susie Lacocque Penne Arrabiata This has a nicely spicy tomato sauce and pieces of fantastic housemade sausage. photo credit: Susie Lacocque Pera The ravioli is filled with pear and ricotta, and topped with a walnut cream sauce and gorgonzola. It’s great - not too sweet or too heavy. photo credit: Susie Lacocque Gnocchi Alla Erbe You should probably get some housemade gnocchi while you’re here, because it’s extremely fluffy. We like the version with herb gnocchi and an outstanding pork sugo. photo credit: Susie Lacocque Pollo Alla Limone If you order this, you’re not calling anyone afterwards to tell them about it. It’s fine - it has a nice rosemary and lemon sauce, and the chicken breast is juicy. If you cooked it for yourself, you’d feel very proud. Arranciani Del Giorno The arancini changes daily, but the one thing that doesn’t change is that it’s dry and not very interesting. Skip this. Pizza Giustino There’s no way around it - the pizzas here aren’t good at all. They’re Roman-style, and the focaccia-like crust is very dry. Dessert As we mentioned, Enoteca Roma’s owners also have a bakery next door, called Letizia’s. That’s where the desserts come from, and you should get the chocolate cake. It’s rich, sweet, and a good way to end things." - Adrian Kane

Anniversary dinner before a show. Exquisite cuisine and exceptional service. Loved the ambiance and everything about the dining experience. No misses at all. Visiting from out of town but will be back.

I will definitely be back here. We had such a great experience for my first time. I can’t believe this spot has been here for three years. I feel like I’ve been missing out on a gem. It’s intimate, lively and cozy all at the same time. Cute for a date night, solo or an evening with friends. The chef and bartender know what they are doing. My friend loved the sangria, the frozen fruit is low key genius… and the orange wine is dangerous so lead with caution…. The ham croquets are the best👌🏿 I like that you can get a croquet mixer and have fun with the different tastes. Each bite felt like something special. The lamb definitely stood out. The pair with the carrots wasn’t preferred but the meat was seasoned and perfect for taste. The scallops. Omg! They were served in cute shell plates. I was very impressed. I love that they offer tapas along with entrees as well. We clearly were excited to try it all but the service was exceptional. The staff were attentive, welcoming and very helpful even on a slow night. I can’t brag enough. 10/10. We were very pleased. This will go on my list of Harlem favorites. Do yourself a favor and come here. I highly recommend. Thank you again!

Had an amazing dining experience at Enoteca with my wife before heading over to The Apollo. Started with a drink at the bar, one of the biggest Gin collections I have seen. Then moved into the dining room. After placing our order of half a dozen share plates, the waiter suggested he move us to a 4-seater table so we could be more comfortable. Waiter was highly knowledgeable about the food and wines menu. Service was impeccable and the food was spectacular. They even pushed out the desert to make sure we weren’t late for our show. Highly recommend this place to anyone considering.

Google
Just tried the new menu and I’m a big fan. The restaurant already has a great design and back deck, and an amazing staff and owner. With the new menu, they’re now my go-to brunch spot as well as my after-work treat. They have multiple vegan brunch options, and kept their delicious jackfruit ropa vieja. The non-vegans in the group really loved the chicken and Brazilian cheesebread waffles. The chicken is boneless and breaded instead of battered. We can’t wait to come try the other dishes and save room for basque cheesecake and flan. I wanted to note that they bake all their own bread! That’s a huge feat, and it made the Vegan Garden open faced sandwich really stand out. It’s just amazing that they bake challah for their French toast, too. The drinks continue to be great. In addition to their amazing giant sangria and curated wine list, the gin cocktails are great. We ordered the Madrid and it was perfectly balanced and beautifully presented.

Google
What an amazing place! Please go and check it out! The food was mouthwatering, the service was super welcoming, very attentive and as warm as meeting up with friends. The gin selection is huge and the bar is cozy. The bartender went out of his way to give us nothing but the best drinks: great at making cocktail suggestions as well as friendly conversation. A gem in the city!!! We will be back!

Google
Amazing service and recommendations for dinner. This place has such a fun vibe for dates and the food is also delicious I really love getting the tapas so you can try a bunch of different dishes

Google
Great food, perfect drinks, dreamy atmosphere and wonderful service. Leo guided us through the menu and our vegetarian friends were delighted with the choices. The eggplant with cheese was a winner. And we loved the ropa vieja. Marco is a phenomenal bartender who knows all about the various gin and made 6 different, beautiful gin drinks for each person's flavor profile. It was an amazing experience.

Yelp
Space and decor was chic, warm and very comfy. Staff was friendly, quick and thoughtful. Food was AMAZING. One of the best drinks and deserts I've ever had in Harlem! Kicking myself for not coming to this spot sooner! My new Harlem fav!

Yelp
This is such a good neighborhood gem. The service is excellent, the vibes are cozy, and the food and drinks are delicious. Perfect for a date night or catching up with friends. I'll certainly be back!

Yelp
Great service, interesting ambiance, good wines, but marred by very disappointing food.

Lindsay K.

Yelp
Overall, the food was good and it was a great experience to sit in the back patio. The hostess asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside, even though I had already selected patio seating in my reservation. The ambiance was great out there, although tables were very close and it was impossible not to eavesdrop on the conversation at the next table (and the fun engagement party trivia in the courtyard of the apartment building behind the covered fence). Service was extremely slow - we didn't get our drinks until almost 30 minutes after ordering, and the food took even longer. Once plates started coming out, though, they were fast. We had the Langosta Pintxos, Jamón Croquetas, Tacos de Kiko, and Paella.

Yelp
Where do I start. I sat on the bar side. Stools way too high for the bar height. Very uncomfortable. The drinks were expensive appx 18-20$ for house liquor. My drink happened to be pretty good but I would never know there was alcohol in it and they measure very conservatively. Now, the food. I had the mixed croquettes. I was told I would get 1 of each . There are 8 types and you get 8 croquettes which wasn't bad. Until.... There were actually 2 of each of 4 flavors. All had a béchamel sauce and yet were still flavorless. The mushrooms on and spinach decent. Couldn't even make out the other 2 because they literally had no flavor. I ate 2 and got the check. The waitress, while very nice didn't discount and didn't even bother asking why I didn't want them to go. Even though she told me I'd get 1 of each and wound up getting 2 of each of 4 flavors. Very overpriced for flavor and quality of ingredients including the alcohol. Man behind the bar had very long hair and when he kept coming behind this small bar his hair wiped along the bar with no regard. Seemed very concerned with his hair that was everywhere. And bartender grabbing these cute dried out limes with her hands and touching all of them. Really not worth the price. I'll pay whatever usually but this place is just not good. Just looks cute in a neighborhood that is up and coming. Not to mention they kept opening washer that was right under the bar and the steam kept hitting me in the face each time they had clean glasses. Please I beg you save 80$ and just go somewhere else. It acts as something but it's really nothing.

Yelp
I loved the food. The setas croquettes are my favorite. The hamburger is good. The service is smooth and the ambiance is great.

Yelp
Was excited to try Enoteca but unfortunately left disappointed. I showed up around 4pm yesterday and the indoor dining area was practically empty. There were some folks seated outside but all in all not very full for a Sunday afternoon. I was greeted right away and decided to sit inside in the beautiful dining area. Pretty immediately I ordered the bottomless sangria and the patatas bravas as an appetizer. Despite being practically empty, it took almost 15 minutes to get my first drink. The patatas bravas took about the same amount of time. As the appetizer came out I ordered my entree which was the skirt steak and eggs with a side salad. When it came out though I noticed that there were no eggs included and potatoes had been substituted instead. Flavor-wise, I thought the food was decent but nothing to write home about. Almost every item was lacking in salt which really made the food lackluster. The highlight of the meal would have to be the sangria- not too sweet and definitely wine forward! I also felt that the servers were friendly and kind.

Yelp
Went here on a weekend! They were not busy but I do recommend a reservation. Upon entry, we were greeted by the waiter. He was extremely nice and asked us if we prefer inside or outside seating. The place is spacious and definitely on a hot day, I recommend sitting outside. We sat down and ordered their bottomless sangrias, potato's braves, and steak and egg dishes. It took about 20 minutes after ordering to receive our first round of sangrias and a bit longer than that before our first appetizers. The food was a bit underwhelming. There was a general lack in salt and also the steak did not come with the sides listed on the menu. I think they really struggled with having too many servers helping one table. Things got confusing and the food was delayed. All in all I got lit off the sangria portions.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite new discoveries as of late. This was one of those epicurean evenings where everything from the food to the ambience to the attentive attention from the owner and staff was absolutely and utterly flawless. The photos of our unbelievable and mouthwatering dishes tells the story ... this goes beyond tapas. It's gourmet tapas and then some, with each dish even more delicious than the one before. Wonderful from start to finish. And what a lovely place too boot. Whether you want to sit at the window at the front and people watch as you dine or sit on the inviting, romantic (or perfect for a group of friends who want to have a nice evening out) and perfectly lit area in the back, there's something for everyone and every occasion.

Yelp
I'm not a New Yorker, but I like cozy, ambiance, good service, and good food. Enoteca Harlem was within walking distance of the hotel, and I needed a nice spot to meet a colleague. Spanish sounded good for us both, and it did not disappoint. My partner had paella, and I had the black paella. By Midwestern standards, this appeared to be a small portion with just a few bits of seafood. Then we had our first bites... sometimes, just sometimes, a first bite of food forces you to slow down and savor... to relish in the deep intensity of flavors. Suddenly, there was no rush and the plate very slowly disappeared. It was plenty. I have no complaints about the service, although we were early and there were few other patrons. I hope to be back.

Yelp
Small yummy bites neatly plated. Presentation is tip top. Service is great, attentive server. Ambiance is intimate with a dim lit interior. Outdoor seating is amazing for warmer months. I'll go again soon.

Yelp
Quaint, long restaurant with twinkle lights, and really good sangría! The wine list has a bunch of wines from both Spain and Chile and the menu is based on northern Spain's San Sebastian region, which is in the Basque country, and known for its culinary excellence. My friend and I split las croquetas mixtas-all very tasty! My favorite was the shrimp croqueta which had coconut milk and slight Thai flair to it. We also split the octopus which was delicious. Friendly service! Enoteca will definitely become a regular spot. ¡Buen provecho!

Yelp
We had high expectations. The food was great but not outstanding. Crab on crostini (2) appetizer, $14. I forget the Spanish name. It was tasty but had a little too much paprika atop. I was expecting a lot more creativity for this dish. We followed with the mixed croquettas, 8 balls of loveliness. all different flavors and just the right size for a middle course. These were delicious. Finally, Black Paella, ($35) this was the weak link in the meal, it tasted ok but nothing stood out. One piece of squid, 6 shrimp and 2 mussels. The service was outstanding, I think our server was Mario. He went above and beyond in making sure we were pleased. We tasted the white and red sangrias but settled on a pina colada ish cocktail which was a special as cocktails are a Sunday thing only. The ambiance was cool and cozy - beautifully decorated. It's a small space with small tables and unfortunately the man behind us had a foghorn voice which carried and made it impossible for us to relax. There is a no phone policy but the single diner by us was on her phone the whole time she was eating and Mr. Foghorn had his phone out showing his companion this and that. In a nutshell, just not as creative or polished as we expected.

Yelp
Super cute place very small went on a Saturday night it seems they were super short staff but they did the best they could, I'm sure with more help they would do fantastic the food was great but waited too long for 2 apps so we opted to leave and get food elsewhere our 2 apps were delicious.

Yelp
I wish I could give bonus stars!!!! Thank you Enoteca Harlem for a great evening and delicious food and drink! I can't tell you enough how great and knowledgeable the team is and the space is!!!! We had the taco app, papas bravas, ensalada, veg. Paella, and TRES leches. Every bite was mind blowing and we can't wait for the next time!

Yelp
Quite by accident, we had brunch here, and now we can't wait to return. We were looking for someplace else, but the friendly manager, Ibia, (we are probably not remembering his name correctly. Sorry.) drew us in with his smile. The eggplant dish was fantastic. The baby squid was fantastic. The authentic Spanish cheesecake was fantastic. The jambon crochets were fantastic. The chicken wrapped in bacon was fantastic. Our host let me try a few wines and I settled on a Crianza that was bright and flavorful. My husband loved the mocktail he created! We don't get to Harlem often but this place will bring us back soon. PS: When a Yelp Elite reviewer simply uses the word "fantastic", it probably means that he doesn't have time to tell you each aspect of what he enjoyed. In short, I like distinctive food with strong personality. I like friendly staff and alluring ambience. I got all that here.
google avatar

Denya H.

Yelp
We made reservations for brunch after Easter Sunday. It's a really cute bougie spot. The ambiance is intimate. There were 6 of us and 1 toddler. Three different couples. The menu was a bit overwhelming since we didn't know what half of it was but we ordered a few items I saw that were good from other reviews. The portions are pretty small but super yummy. They did have a brunch menu which included some sandwiches. The waiters didn't speak fluent English but they were sweet! Overall, it was great but would maybe come with only my husband and one couple.

Yelp
I absolutely loved Enoteca! Last night was my first time checking it out, based on a coworker's recommendation and I am so glad that I dined here. Enoteca is a tapas and wine restaurant, which means that the food comes out on small plates that are meant to be shared with your party. This is my favorite dinner style because I get to order and eat a bunch of different dishes. The restaurant offers a good variety of wines from Spain and Chile. My girlfriend ordered a glass of Chilean Syrah, which was pretty good and had a hint of sweetness. I ordered the Kalimocho, which is a cocktail made from red wine, cola, and lemon sorbet. The Kalimocho is similar to a sangria, however, the Kalimocho is sweeter and has more body to it. It was my first time ordering one and I absolutely enjoyed it! To start we ordered olives. We were given olives of different sizes and of different colors. My favorite ones were the small green ones and the large green ones. The large ones were pretty juicy. The Croquetas de jamón were pretty decent. There were small pieces of ham in them that added to the flavor of the croquettes, however, the creaminess of the inside definitely dominated the interior of the dish. I did love how well-seasoned the crispy shell of the Croquetas were. The lobster claw tapas were phenomenal!!! This must be the restaurant's take on a warm lobster roll. The large lobster claws were placed on top of a bed of lobster meat, that was layered onto a buttery crostini. The whole dish came together really well and I highly considered ordering seconds of the plate. The octopus was decent, but not as good as many of the other dishes that we ordered. The octopus pieces were placed on top of a bed of herbed-potato and were drizzled with olive oil. The potatoes were missing something (maybe more herbs?) and the octopus pieces could have been cooked just a bit more and then the plate would have been great. Lastly, we ended the night with a salad with fried goat cheese. The salad itself consisted of greens, red onions, beets, and some seeds. The salad's dressing was on the sweeter side and tasted great. The fried goat cheese balls were definitely the star of the plate, though. The cheese balls were crispy, but the goat cheese inside was creamy. It all tied in really well with each other. Overall, Enoteca is a great restaurant and I will definitely love to come back. I will recommend this restaurant to people that I know that are coming to town. I want to try some of the desserts here, as well.

Yelp
Outstanding food, wine and service! Staying nearby on a work trip. I came in by myself and am so glad I did!

Yelp
Fair? Food was excellent, the service on the other hand was not. We suspected the waiter forgot to put our paella order in after he came to ask us if we were going to order anything else after only a couple of tapas and then, when we said we were waiting for our paella, proceeded to tell us that the paella would "take some time". He then actively ignored us for over an hour after repeatedly trying to get his attention to fill our empty wine and water glasses. When he finally came back around he said his colleague had mistakenly given our paella to another table and he was annoyed at him. Not quite an apology. To his credit he offered a comped dessert, but honestly too little too late. Not sure if this is the norm here, but it's a real tragedy considering it was one of the better paella's I've had in the city. One expects more at this high price point. I likely won't be back.

Yelp
If I could give this place ten stars I would! The Langosta Pinxtos was absolutely delicious. It was fresh lobster on a piece of toast but it was so flavorful. I was also able to try the skirt steak which was also delicious. It wasn't as hot as I wanted it to be but it was still good. I wasn't able to get a picture of the red sangria but it was so good and definitely got me tipsy lol. The service was excellent our server was super friendly and funny. The ambience is very chill and it's a cute spot for a date night or girls night out.

Amber Z.

Yelp
The food, ambience, wine, and service is all amazing! Such a nice little spot tucked away in Harlem with authentic Spanish food and tapas. They are even building a little speakeasy/bar in the back! I cannot wait to come back with friends and family.
google avatar

Trey A.

Yelp
Nice ambiance. Reasonably priced. But, the food was disappointing. I hope it was just the product of a Sunday night and the main chef was off. Paella rice and mashed potato were both unpleasantly gummy. The seafood universally did not seem fresh - The Langistino was overcooked and fell apart. The octopus lacked char and flavor. The flank steak was, again, just ok, but probably the best thing we had. Too much marinade.
google avatar

Psv P.

Yelp
This place was dope. The vibe is nice the server was on point and super friendly. The baby squid with the lime and the coconut was FIRE!!! The eggplant tacos were really good - I could have done without the parmesan crisp - ours wasn't really crisp but gummy and hard to chew but the rest of the dish was really great. And the crquettas de jamon were delicious. I would definitely revisit.

Yelp
I recommend this place, the food was so tasty. Amazing service, also the place has a little beautiful backyard.

Yelp
I have to come back here and try the wines. My boyfriend and I stumbled across this place. The couple of things we did get were really good. The restaurant itself is really cute, it was a pretty hot the day we went and we couldn't feel a fan or AC. Otherwise, we would have probably stayed longer but instead we got a few tapas. The service was great, the staff was very nice, and the food was really good. I definitely have to pop back in to try more things.

Yelp
Amazing service, amazing food, amazing sangria! Our new anniversary/romantic date spot!

Rosanne W.

Yelp
This very intimate restaurant was very romantic. The host was charming and knowledgeable about the regional foods on the menu, and this is the only place I've ever seen with three types of paella!

Barbara M.

Yelp
Everything was excellent! Atmosphere, food, server was very nice and friendly! Definitely coming back for lunch. Went there for dinner before catching up some jazz.

Yelp
The cutest little wine bar! Super nice wait staff. This place is new, and I don't think many people know about it yet. I haven't tried many of the bites, but can confirm that the spinach croquettes are divine. Great wine list with reasonable prices. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Finally decided to come check this place out, so glad we did!! The venue is narrow yet very cozy! They had someone playing guitar that night which was a nice touch. We ended up having the Croquetas, Charcuterie board, and skirt steak as well as some wine to go with it. All 3 were very very tasty. Fresh and great quality! I was just in Spain and the flavors were very similar. The skirt steak was fantastic, and highly recommend. Good portion as well. Also a very good wine selection. We did not get the chance to try the sangria but definitely next time, seemed to be a big hit there. The service was very friendly as well and they were able to squeeze us in without reservations. They do have limited seating so I would definitely recommend making reservations just in case.
google avatar

Igor A.

Yelp
Fantastic wine selection and delicious food. The ambiance was great both outside and inside. The portions are not large so I'd recommend ordering about 3 per person for a really good time. We can definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys wine and food! ;-)

Anna G.

Yelp
The best special occasion place. I've taken dates, family, friends and everyone has said it's the best in the city. The atmosphere is calm and inviting and the dishes are excellent. Staff is so helpful answering questions about pairings or portions. Worth every penny.

Lily T.

Yelp
We visited this place one very cold night and it was almost empty at peak dinner time (6:30~8:30pm). We had second thoughts at first but then saw how charming the place looks. It is indeed one of the cutest and loveliest interiors a restaurant can have. They even have a little garden dining space at the back which is also setup very beautifully. Am sure it's a hit in the summer. The staff was friendly and attentive. Had my order but compensated by giving a comped dessert. The food? It was ok I guess but let's just say we were not blown away. We plan to go back though and try their other dishes esp the paella and then will update my review. Worth a visit as it's a beautiful place and the staff, especially our server Ibai, was very personable and added to a most pleasant dining experience.

Elaine A.

Yelp
I've been meaning to go to Dulceria next door and this place for a while, and finally got to when my parents visited. They love tapas and so I trusted the reviews and I'm so glad I did. Everything we had was wonderful, especially the eggplant dish (tacos de kiko) which my whole family raved about. I personally loved the croquetas, and the Basque cheesecake was a real sleeper hit. I'm sad we went on a rainy day because I would have really loved to have sat in the garden which I heard is really pretty - the seating inside was a little difficult for some members of my family with certain disabilities but we made it work. For the sheer amount of food we got + sangria it was also really reasonably priced. We even got tapas at another place on the UWS the next day and it PALED in comparison to Enoteca. Can't wait to come back!

Yaki M.

Yelp
I walked into Enoteca expecting a nice solo night. As soon as I walked in I noticed this was not a regular wine bar. I loved the attentiveness and the warmth this restaurant provided from the moment I walked in. I'm just getting started. I was unsure of the wine and was recommended to try both wines to choose which I liked the most. This unexpected but very welcomed. Marcos was very attentive and I cannot leave out Ivai who was very friendly as well. During my night here I had the croquetas de jamón which did not disappoint get this or the cod croqueta which came highly recommended. For my meal I ordered the Neruda en la playa which was a very exotic name for the Chilean sea bass. I was not expecting to see it on the menu so was very happy to have ordered it. As soon as O tried the first bite I knew I would be coming back. I've been to many places just to try Chilean sea bass and enoteca Harlem blew it out of the park. I was completely sold with how exquisite it was. I Can still taste the tenderness and soft flakiness of the fish. But it doesn't stop there after 2 glasses of the fabulous Chardonnay i was weak and decided to go with the highly recommended tres leche. For something sweet it was perfect not overly sweet which made me enjoy it perfectly woth the wine. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you are in the area and are looking for some food and drinks that will knock you socks off! Accompanied with superb service please come to Enoteca Harlem! It's a must try!

Love this place!!! Super cute and cozy with an awesome wine selection and amazing food!! Marco was super helpful- let us taste wines and provided great recommendations for the wines and food. Everything was delicious!! My favorites were the pulpo zarautz (octopus was cooked perfectly and so flavorful) and the lamb dish, but you can't go wrong with any of their dishes! Service was excellent and the entire staff was attentive and friendly. Highly recommend coming here! I will definitely return!!

Yelp
Great selection of Spanish and Chilean wines and a series of tasty small plates. Ambience is fun but relaxed and the staff is super friendly and willing to go out of their way to accommodate their guests. Definitely coming back when I'm in the area. Suggestion: the "small" plates are a bit too small, even for tapas. Probably better to make them a bit bigger, even if less "gourmet".

Yelp
A gem in Harlem! Celebrated our anniversary here. The quality of the food is outstanding. Authentic Spanish/Latin tapas. Excellent serving sizes. You won't go away hungry. Great cocktails and wine selection. The staff/owners are so friendly and helpful. Cool relaxed vibe. I can't wait to try their brunch and their patio when the weather gets warmer. Their menu says it's a cellphone free zone -- make new memories. We certainly did and we will be back.

Yelp
West Harlem needed a legit wine bar badly and Enoteca is it. Indoor and outdoor seating. Delicious and unique tapas. And most importantly, a wine menu that is top notch. This is my new neighbor favorite!

Yelp
This restaurant is absolutely charming! From the knowledge and kind staff to the extensive wine list - 42 wines OH MY! They have an incredible list of tapas and small plates with a fusion edge - Chilean, Basque and Spanish flavors. It's like stepping into Europe for an evening!

Yelp
I have been in Enoteca a few times, I love the food and the service of this restaurant. I have to say that the wine selection and the Spanish cuisine is on point, well made and very traditional, I love their croquettes, but the Spanish omelette is definitely my favorite! The owners are very nice and very charming and if you want to have a great night; then definitely you should visit this place. It has the perfect ambiance and lovely environment for a great dinner. During my last visit, last week, I chatted with the waiters and the owners, and I found that the restaurant is a great example for small and successful local business, ethically well grounded and very supportive to minorities and small association within the neighborhood. I found my last visit to be very inspiring. Knowing that the owners of this restaurant are very its a blessing. The business is very aware of today's issues and its are a great support to the community, and you can definitely tell that when chatting with the table servers and the staff when dining and enjoying the dinner! By the way you must try the Flan de leche, so good!

Yelp
What an amazing place. The corquetas are fabulously delicious (setas, Tigre). The tapas are wonderful - octopus, ribs, skirt stale. The starters are also delicious. And, the WINE, OMG! Choices of extraordinary wines from Chile and Spain. I used to think that Chilean wines were for cheap parties but the ones at Enoteca Harlem are phenomenal! Also the Spanish ones!!! Deserts? OMG!!!! And the staff is so friendly and personable; you feel you are at home with friends! The courtyard is so intimate and wonderful. So, in sum, amazing!!!!! Kudos to Daniel and his excellent team. Enjoy!!!

Yelp
My for friend and I loved our experience at Enoteca! The space is beautiful and cozy. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. They really provided a personable touch. They have typical NYC prices but quality is excellent. They own the coffee/dessert place next door, Dulceria so you know their dessert is amazing. It's best for parties 2-4 and I recommend making a reservation to ensure you get a table. I can't wait to return and try more plates!

Yelp
This place is a gem and a perfect addition to the Harlem restaurant scene. The wine list is extensive and the sommelier is very knowledgeable, he will explain any wine in a great amount of detail! All of the tapas are exceptional. Also the restaurant is so cute/ has a great amabiqnce and I hope we get more of these cute restaurants in our hood. I'm sure to be a regular here,

Yelp
Tiny and charming with outstanding tapas. The owner and waitstaff are helpful navigating the tasty choices. The wine list is extensive and extremely interesting with many excellent choices. I recommend the Chilean red wines, octopus, mussels and skirt steak especially but everything was good.
