"A daytime cafe and bottle shop that transforms into a restaurant and cocktail bar at night, Enswell is everything you need it to be. People in the neighborhood know the move here is a late brunch, so you can enjoy the skillet cinnamon bun, oysters, steak and eggs, and a kaffe boulevardier (rye, cold brew coffee, persimmon liqueur, sweet vermouth, creme de cacao) all at once." - Annemarie Dooling
"Philly loves an all-day cafe, and Enswell’s coffee shop turned restaurant is the best of them. The drink menu reflects the collaboration with local roastery Rival Bros. Coffee, with cocktails like the Haymaker (whiskey, espresso, coffee liqueur, and vanilla cream) and the Copa Cafe mai tai, a caffeinated twist on the original." - Annemarie Dooling
"In a city where coffee-infused cocktails are contagious, Enswell is bold exception with their definitive take on the popular trend. Made with Rival Bros. Coffee, the Haymaker is made dazzles with Moscatel cask whiskey, Liberty Belle coffee liquor, house orgeat, espresso, vanilla coffee cream. Translation: This isn’t an espresso martini, it’s an espresso escape." - Ernest Owens
"The official fall cocktail bar of Philly might just be located at this lively Rittenhouse hotspot. Here, the season is fully represented with several libations that’s worth trying (such as their Legends of Fall made with apple infused gin, calvados, sweet vermouth, and thyme, Harvest Moon made with bourbon, pomegranate, falernum, and aperitif, Old Fashioned No. Four made with butternut squash infused bourbon, curry, and demerara, and their Pear Naked Lady made with vodka, pear, sage, vanilla, and lime). Bonus points: All of Enswell’s cocktails feature locally-sourced spirits." - Ernest Owens
"Enswell is a drop-dead gorgeous, European-inspired all day café and bar in Rittenhouse from the Rival Bros. team. During the day you’ll find locals popping in for lattes—it’s the chicest place in the neighborhood to work over almond croissants. But post-5pm the pop and soul music turns up, the lights go dim, and friends share drinks and snacks before heading elsewhere in the neighborhood for the main event. They have the right idea–the drinks, like the brown buttery Old Fashioned No. 2 and The Haymaker are excellent, and we love the spicy crab hashbrown. But service is consistently inconsistent, so you may wait upwards of 30 minutes for the disappointing (and very pricey) larger plates. photo credit: NICOLE GUGLIELMO photo credit: NICOLE GUGLIELMO photo credit: Nicole Guglielmo Pause Unmute" - Alison B.
