17 Hopped Up Breweries in San Francisco

"Two beer pros resurrected the historic Enterprise Brewing name and took over the former Cellarmaker space at 1150 Howard Street in 2023. Try one of the brand’s lagers, or the Cellarprise, a hazy IPA collaboration brew with the Cellarmaker team." - Dianne de Guzman, Eater Staff

The 9 Best Breweries in San Francisco

"Enterprise Brewing Co. took over the old Cellarmaker location in SoMa, and it’s now the neighborhood’s hot spot for a low-effort hang. The relaxed space isn’t huge or warehouse-y like other breweries in town, but you can pretty easily show up in sweats (dogs are welcome, too), snag a seat at the bar, and nurse a pilsner until closing. Since there’s no food menu, you’re welcome to bring your own dinner—we like to hit up Square Pie Guys around the corner and eat a pepperoni pie in the company of a few pints. 15 New Bars to Check Out in San Francisco Right Now

"A pair of longtime beer industry professionals Cameron McDonald and Jesse Hayter joined forces to revive a historic San Francisco beer company this summer. Enterprise Brewing, which originally operated during the city’s beer-soaked heyday more than a century ago, moved into the former Cellarmaker space in SoMa in July and is now selling cold pints — including the California common ale brewed in collaboration with the Anchor Brewing Union. Keep an eye on the brewery’s Instagram for the schedule of pop-ups from local favorites including Rize Up and Outta Sight Pizza." - Lauren Saria

The atmosphere was inviting, with a great selection of beers and a clean, attractive interior. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, enhancing the overall experience. I particularly enjoyed the vinyl records they played, which added a unique touch to the ambiance. I highly recommend trying the Cellarprise, a hazy IPA collaboration with Cellarmaker. Additionally, it's worth noting that the owner is quite accommodating; we asked if it was okay to bring our own food, and he was very chill about it. Plus, it's a pet-friendly place! We saw several people bringing their furry friends along to enjoy the beer, which added to the laid-back vibe. Definitely a must-visit beer bar in SoMa!

Such a cool spot! The dude bartender with long hair was super friendly and poured a delicious helles lager and i got a pretzel dog, which was a beautiful pairing. A guitarist was doing some slide guitar. The light lager is what brought me here in the first place. The spot was nice and packed. Def coming back!

Have you ever been to a place that upon walking in you felt like family? That's what Enterprise Brewing felt like. My wife and I came here for the first time in September 2023 after hearing about the Anchor collaboration beer and was greeted by the owner, Jesse. He immediately started getting to know us with a truly genuine conversation. We came back last Saturday for the SF Beer Week where the community feel that Enterprise brings was elevated even further with Rize Up Bakery. If all of that sounds incredible, then when you couple that with incredible beer you'll need to not look any further. My wife and I have had their Pilsner, Stouts and Ales - all were phenomenal. Highly recommend anyone looking for an incredible experience in San Francisco.

Big town brewery with a small hometown vibe. Tasty micro you don't want to miss. Don't forget to grab a crowler before you leave. You'll want to take one home!

Relaxed cool brewery that offers quality craft brew in SOMA. Live vinyl DJ was a nice bonus while relaxing with a variety of small pours and some baked goodies from next door. The winter warmer double Amber is season but worth the follow up next winter but opens curiosity of what other seasons have in store.

All the new Enterprise brews are refined, flavor-forward, and style appropriate. Excited to see some knowledgeable peeps from the mission take over the old Cellarmaker spot. Hater's a great guy and a proper brew head, just met the other business partner/s but they seem equally awesome and experienced.

Best Beer Beer spot in the city with music on vinyl and great characters.
