Cozy wine & cocktail bar with Mediterranean bites & garden

"If you’ve lived in this city for a significant amount of time, you probably have a go-to date spot in the West Village. Chances are, it isn’t Entwine - because a lot of people don’t know about this place. It’s a little wine bar in the quiet part of the West Village near the Hudson River, and it happens to have a great back patio. The dinner menu isn’t too extensive, but you can snack on various meats and cheeses while you drink your wine." - bryan kim, katherine lewin, hillary reinsberg
"Maybe you’ve never heard of Entwine. That would make sense, seeing as how it’s in a quiet part of the West Village that isn’t really near any trains. But this is a great place to know about, especially if you ever find yourself in the Meatpacking District and need a nearby spot that isn’t full of people complaining about the alcohol content in their vodka sodas. It’s a wine bar with two small floors, it’s perfect for a date night, and there’s a charming patio in the back sitting on what’s probably at least one million dollars of West Village real estate." - bryan kim

"Walk all the way into the northern part of the West Village where the streets get a little quieter and you can hear the houses whispering about how expensive they are. Here you’ll find a little wine bar called Entwine. It doesn’t seem very big at first, but there are actually two floors as well a back patio surrounded by white brick walls. And, seeing as how this place is in a less-touristy part of the West Village, it shouldn’t be too crowded when you stop by. So, bring a date or come drink some wine on the patio the next time it’s nice out and you want to hang out in a little backyard that’s probably worth several million dollars." - Bryan Kim
"I note that the team behind the wine bar and Mediterranean-influenced restaurant Entwine in the West Village has applied for a full liquor license to open an as-yet-unnamed restaurant at 118 First Ave in the East Village; the proposed spot would seat 38 with 14 bar seats and is expected to offer a menu similar to Entwine's, including baked chicken thighs and lamb chops." - Kayla Kumari Upadhyaya
