"You knew this one was coming, right? The most talked-about item at LA's most talked-about luxury grocery chain, Erewhon's smoothies are a cultural juggernaut unto themselves. But how are they as actual drinks? For the most part, pretty good. And while they do average a yikes-inducing $20 each, they also win for most mix-ins, so at least you're getting your money's worth in sea moss and colostrum. "This upscale boutique grocery is expensive, scene-y, and borderline cultish, but their grab-and-go section has good picnic options and the front door is located basically ten feet from Pan Pacific. Also, if you avoid the produce, you actually won’t spend that much money. Their premade salad and sandwiches are all solid, but if the line at the hot bar isn’t too long, go get some buffalo cauliflower. It’s a spicy, tangy masterpiece and one of the best vegetarian dishes in town." - brant cox

"“It's the taquitos for me. I went there with someone and I was like, ‘Why are you getting taquitos from Erewhon?’ And they're like, ‘Trust me.’ So we get taquitos and when I tell you the meat is so flavorful and the ends are so crunchy. I love the juxtaposition of a soft and crunchy meal. You definitely get that from ordering the taquitos. It's my favorite on the go meal. It's easy to eat. It's not messy and it's just really delicious. I love the elixir smoothie. The fact that it’s Erewhon, I assume they're using the best ingredients…so I'll pay for it.”" - brennan carley
"Erewhon is definitely not a restaurant. It’s an extremely high-end grocery store on Beverly Blvd (and now Venice) that is always one person wearing sunglasses indoors away from being completely intolerable. And while regular grocery shopping there is reserved for only Oprah and maybe Elon Musk, your move is to the salad and hot bar.
