"Independent, fast-casual Tex-Mex spots are about as hard to find in Miami as free parking. And while we feel quite sad for our collective lives devoid of lard-infused beans, salsa bars, and deep-fried deliciousness—we’re also happy Ernesto’s exists. This is an ideal spot to sit by yourself with a chimichanga, quesadilla, or plate of carne asada fries and wash it down with horchata. If you can’t decide what to get, go for one of the combination platters. " - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo, mariana trabanino

I’ve been coming here for 7 years and have always been impressed with the food and available picked veggies (onions, carrots, jalapeños). However, something is going on here as the last two times I’ve ordered to three amigos tacos with al pastor, the meat has not been good. Last time it was dry and hard and tasted old. Today it’s insanely greasy (see pictures). Again - solid for years and something has changed or something but hope it’s only temporary.

I ate here and the food tastes well for a low price. I ordered the carne asada tacos as I can get crunchy corn tortilla. The rest of the items appear to be wheat flour tortilla. They serve breakfast as well as lunch dinner. The prices are very good

After taste the food in the other Mexican restaurants in Miami Beach, different of this one (was so disappointed) …..I didn’t give up and decided to come here and the truth is that my love for Mexican food returned. If you have the opportunity to come and try you will not regret it.

Im so disappointed that I wasted $36 on food here and the cheese was not even melted.. its so bad I didn’t even eat it , I only liked the horchata and birria tacos.. never coming back here.

Im not sure how the ratings for this place are as high as they are but I personally was EXTREMELY disappointed. I ordered the feista that included beef tortillas steak and cheese quesadeas chips and bean dip. Absolutely aweful. Not only did it taste like it wasnt season at all but the food seemed stale and old. I also had the tacos which were better but still not up to par for authentic Mexican food. I the quacamole WAS NOT BY ANY MEANS FRESH please review pictures. This was my first time ordering and it wIll be my last. But I always want to say any place can have a bad day. But this place isnt new and if simply seasoning food all the is hard then something is wrong.

i went there earlier today. the young lady at the register was polite.. but i saw the cook/possible manager being rude to the couple in front of me. i dont know the full scope of the conversation but the man was asking questions about spicy dishes and the cook replied each time as if the questions were bothering him. that right there makes me give only 1 star for service. if you go into a restaurant business you need to take some customer service classes before they had you the license. now for the food... taste is good.. presentation looks sloppy. temperature was on point. i ordered nachos.. after digging through the cheese, i found about 10 or so nacho chips all soggy on the bottom. if your plan is to eat nachos with a fork, then this is the place for you. no crunchy chips on this plate.

I've been to Ernesto's many times over the years and continue to come back because it's damn good food! steak is well seasoned, order is prepared fast and staff is friendly. The place itself is nothing to call home about but you'll love everything else

I just spent $81 and this was the worst Mexican food I have ever came across. The food has no flavor soggy looks they threw together. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. I rather eat taco bell then at the place.
