Where To Get Dinner With Someone Who Talks Too Loud

"Dinner at Esotico is a loud, boozy affair. The music is thumping and there's a decent chance you'll see a server bang a gong in the dining room while preparing a tableside cocktail that bursts into flame. In other words, this is precisely the sort of place to bring that friend who insists on holding a normal conversation in very crowded elevators. This is more of a place to drink and turn up with the assistance of lots of rum, but they do have a big menu with dumplings, poke bowls, ceviche, and an octopus hot dog—which is exactly what it sounds like and also better than it sounds like. Miami’s 15 Essential Cocktail Bars, Mapped

"This bright and colorful tiki bar creates various drinks influenced by tiki-cocktail history. Think drinks like the Kix, a clarified cocktail made with Hawaiian vodka, Matcha green tea, and passion fruit puree, or the Day Off cocktail with Dewar’s 12yo Double Aged, pineapple ginger shrub, lemon juice, yuzu, and lime soda. To soak up all that booze, Esotico Miami will serve up a full dinner menu with a variety of tiki-with-a-twist offerings, like octopus hot dogs and omakase platters." - Olee Fowler

8 Great Spots With Takeout Piña Coladas in Miami - Eater Miami

"Playful tiki spot Esotico Miami is offering its cocktails to-go, served in anything from 3-liter pouches to individual flasks. The “Sexy Colada,” (available upon request) has garnered international fame, and is less sweet than the traditional version and includes a welcome addition of lime and ginger. The Clarified Piña Colada, available in 3.4 ounce bottles, uses an elaborate straining procedure to create." - Alona Martinez

Esotico Review - Downtown - Miami - The Infatuation

"Esotico is a little shinier and cleaner than what we’re accustomed to in a tiki establishment, but the bar and restaurant just a little north of Downtown is still a very fun place to have a few strong rum drinks. Get one with their tasty spiced almond syrup, and after that, you’ll be ready for the slightly random but good food. The ice for the “shaved ice leche de dragon” ceviche is shaved tableside via a steampunk-looking piece of machinery. There’s also an octopus hot dog - which are three words that probably should never be used consecutively - but it’s actually quite good and more of a lobster roll situation than an actual hot dog." - Ryan Pfeffer

The Octopus Hot Dog was amazing! Everything we ordered was so good.. The drinks were delicious and strong. The theme was nice and carried throughout the restaurant. I'd definitely go back to see how many more specialty cocktails we can try in one night.

I came across some videos of this restaurant on Instagram. It looked like a fun place, although I was worried about the parking situation, but that turned out to be a non-issue as there is a parking garage next door in addition to street parking. The vibe and decor were just as expected, and the food and drinks were great. Our waiter, Lorenzo, was excellent and gets 5 ⭐️. He truly went out of his way to make our first time at Esotico Miami a great experience. Would we go back again? No doubt!

Google
I absolutely loved Esotico! I went on a random Saturday afternoon right after opening, and I randomly stumbled upon it. Even at that time the vibe was great, the food was delicious, and the drinks were amazing!! The host as well as the waiter were very friendly and attentive. I loved loved loved their drink presentation too!

Google
Great spot! We went for happy hour and the vibes were great! The bartender was very attentive and spoke to us about all the different flavors and options. He was very knowledgeable about different rums and their suggestions. The happy hour appetizers were delicious and a great size. Definitely recommend and definitely coming back!

Google
This place is very unique. It is an excellent representation of Hawaiin/Cuban fusion. The food and drinks were delicious. The service was sub par considering the place was not that busy. The decor and ambience is very relaxing and warming. It is great for small groups or a date night. A reservation is recommended because I was told it gets busy. It is also very Instagramable. It is tucked away from the busyness of downtown Miami but worth a try.

Google
This place is awesome. The interior and vibes are top notch. Great place to meet friends or go on a date. The cocktails all have a really cool twist to them and you can tell a lot of thought was put into every offering on the menu. Highly recommend the soup dumplings 🥟 and although it’s a cocktail bar if you’re into craft beers you must check out the 2 local in house brews!

Google
I’m giving 1 star for false advertisement. The restaurant online is not the same in person. The bar with the neon light is the only thing that’s the same. We drove over an hour and felt disappointed. The service was good, the staff were great. The food wasn’t great. I won’t be coming back. The pineapple rice isn’t fresh and tasted microwaved. For almost $30 and $8 dollars for six extra shrimp I expect better. We didn’t complain because we just wanted to get back home.

Google
Cool spot with a Hawaiian vibe. The drinks are amazing. I enjoyed the outdoor seating surrounded by the palm trees and bamboo. Descent happy hour from 5-7pm. I only tried the spring rolls with were okay. The staff was also friendly.

Yelp
This spot is amazing! It is such a fun vibe, it gives off a Hawaiian feel. Super tropical. The drinks are all to die for!! On Wednesday's they have ladies night and they serve free mini martinis with your purchase of any entree. Each martini was a perfect balance of alcohol and mixer. My favorite martini is the Passion martini, it has the perfect amount of sweetness to it. The atmosphere is beautiful, there's a dj playing music the entire night. I went with a couple of girlfriends and we all enjoyed our time. Our server, Mel was extremely attentive and accommodating. The other staff members were also very helpful and came around to check in on us. Mel was quick to take our order and assured that the drinks kept on pouring in. As an appetizer we're shared the rock shrimp, which is breaded and drizzled with wasabi mayo. It's served with fried kale, which was crunchy but also refreshing. As an entree I indulged in the curry flavored octopus hot dog, it's a juicy and tender tentacle served on a brioche bun. It is absolutely to die for! I highly recommend you try this HOT menu item. The pineapple fried rice was also extremely yummy, although not pictured unfortunately. We had to order some dessert, we all shared the coconut flan and the passionfruit mousse. Both were absolutely perfect, the passionfruit mousse really made my cheeks tingle from how delicious it was. I highly recommend you order it, if you crave something sweet! Overall, our experience was 10/10! I will definitely be coming back again!

Yelp
I wanted to love Esotico so bad but unfortunately it just didn't meet the mark for me. The interior is absolutely adorable, they do an awesome job of creating an upscale/swanky tiki bar vibe. The bar is decked out in cute pieces of decor and they have a lot of collectible cups. It really feels like they went the extra mile with the interior, which I appreciate a lot. We went for Miami Spice and were greeted by who I assume is the manager, who was super pleasant and sat us. Our server was nice although service was a little bit slow (nothing unbearable though). The DJ had a bit of difficulty and was throwing the vibes off a bit... he kept changing the volume of the songs and making the bass super loud. At one point the music cut off and the LOUDEST static you've ever heard came over the speaker for a solid 90 seconds. All of the food that was good, not great, but definitely not bad. The ceviche was really yummy! I don't think the value for money is great. I'm glad I was able to try Esotico during Miami Spice, because I think the food is overpriced on the regular menu. Granted- you do pay for an "experience" with a lot of their menu items. My biggest grievance is with the drinks, which is what I was most excited for. This place seems to be known for their cocktails, and they all look adorable. My boyfriend and I split the Jungle Bowl, which is their version of a Scorpion Bowl. This drink was $50 and throughout the meal I kept saying to my boyfriend how I didn't think there was much alcohol in it... I was sure of it. I have a breathalyzer gun at home that I get out at parties for kicks and giggles. We both breathalyzed twice after getting home and both blew a .01 each time. A .01!!! I will blow a .02 after drinking one beer. A .01 is the same reading that you would get after swishing mouthwash. I'm not sure if these cocktails are batch made or we just got a bad pour, but I felt completely cheated after buying a $50 drink. Before our meal I was excited to come back during a happy hour and try more of the drinks, but now I think I'll pass. Super disappointing unfortunately.

Yelp
The vibe inside is super awesome and is a really chill tiki bar. The service was good and our server was really nice. The food was really good although a bit pricy in my opinion. The cocktails were amazing but my girlfriend and I noticed that our scorpion bowl didn't have much alcohol which we thought should've been stronger given the price. The cocktails and happy hours look really good though so we will probably be back to try that!

Yelp
I was In the area and cruising for a good Happy Hour to find. Esotico has a great menu and I remember such an awesome vibe all around. I decided to stop in. So glad I did On to the happy hour which is Monday thru Friday 5-7. Tried the rib platter which I can't stress enough was amazing and great for sharing with the pork bao buns. The salmon sushi bowl with jasmine rice was also yummy. Very impressed with quantity and quality. They have a great selection for cocktails wine and beer on their Happy Hour. I tried the Blue Hawaii which I loved loved! And they have mocktails too like the "endless summer" if zero alcohol is your thing. The service was so good too. My server was so nice and attentive. She made sure I was having a great experience. Which I did for a random Monday. The music was fun, felt like a Saturday night but not loud or anything just great tunes. So pleasantly surprised with the food and drinks being so good! I will definitely return and if you're in the area. Stop on in.

Yelp
I visited this establishment on August 9th. It was a pretty slow night so it was almost like myself and my friend had the place to ourselves. This restaurant is located in the wynwood area on a corner. There is plenty of street parking nearby, however, on this night one of the streets were closed. But luckily we found a parking spot in front of the restaurant. If I remember correctly it was $3/hr. The host checked us in and seated us promptly. We chose an inside table. The restaurant has a nice vibe and everyone was friendly. There is also a nice patio area with seating and it is covered. We looked at the regular menu but chose to order from the Miami Spice menu. There regular menu had plenty of options. I ordered the beef buns, butterfly dorado, and passion fruit mousse as my desert. My friend ordered the firecracker shrimp, sea bass, and coconut flan. As a drink we chose the volcano bowl which included a small presentation which was pretty cool. The drink was good and strong so it was worth the price. The food was amazing as well. I especially enjoyed the passion fruit mousse. I would love to go back to try some of their other dishes.

Yelp
The people of Miami always talk about Esotico and I finally got to stop in for a drink and snacks with a friend! The server was so friendly and accommodating, making sure to explain options that fit our dietary needs and preferences. He recommended the Missionary's Downfall which was the perfect cocktail for me - a minty-herbal version of a mojito (I don't like sweet drinks). We also tried truffle fries and some baos which were delicious appetizers to try. Like most Miami spots, the prices were a bit steep in the ranges of $15+ for each plate and drink. This isn't the fault of Esotico, since they are in the primetime spot of Midtown/Wynwood, but we are all trying to survive these costly times and support businesses at the same time. The ambiance was very tropical, with magenta lighting and very Aloha-esque vibes were everywhere. Not being one to post much, I can still see this place being a very "Instagram-worthy" spot for photo opportunities.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this cocktail bar in downtown and could not have been more pleasantly surprised! You immediately feel the tropical vibe when you walk in and it really feels like you are transported to being on vacation. We were seated instantly at the bar and enjoyed the wide variety on their happy hour menu: $8 cocktails wed-fri 5-7pm! Forgetting about the solid deal, the drinks themselves were AMAZING. Super layered and refreshing. Will definitely return!

Yelp
It was my first time stopping by Esotico after a very long time of wanting to go. Upon arriving, the decor from the outside moving inside was all fantastic and very well spaced out. I love the neon signs on the wall as well as all of the plants, which really did bring a Hawaiian vibe to the bottom floor of a Miami high-rise. The service was attentive, and I have to say the cocktails were all so delicious and I had tried at least three of them. The Mangorita was my favorite followed by the Singapore Sling and La FiestaWhile the salmon bao buns were only 2 per order it was still a good deal for only $8 on special. Do yourself a favor and stop on by. This place deserves all the glory it receives on Yelp! Looking forward to returning soon!

Yelp
Trendy, elaborately decorated tiki bar / fusion seafood steakhouse restaurant. All the drinks we ordered were creative, tasted good, and they really go all out for the presentation. If there was a way to skip the presentation on the drinks when ordering a 2nd one of the same drink and save a buck or two, we would have elected to do that. Overall, a fun, colorful, on point tiki bar if you are craving that tropical cocktail.

Yelp
Esotico is definitely one of those spots you have to visit in Miami just to say you've been! For starters if you want to snag some drinks and you're on a budget it is commute friendly! Just hop on the metro rail then the metro mover (get off at school board station), walk down the street, and boom you're there. So much to my surprise this isn't a HUGE restaurant it's not super small either but it is quaint. As far as ambiance is involved this placed is super cute! Bunch of decor that fits the restaurants theme. Aesthetics are definitely more on the Pacific Islander side and I love it! Real tropical feeling. Service was super great!!! Servers were friendly, attentive, and suggestive so you definitely won't walk out of there feeling like they didn't earn all of their 20% tip hunnie. Food came out fast, drinks came out fast. Absolutely no complaints from the service I received. Food was impeccable! We participated in Miami Spice (3 courses for 45 bucks). Every single one of my courses were delicious. Filet mignon in the fried rice was cooked to perfection and the dish itself tasted phenomenal. I was a little threw off when I saw the quail egg yolk in my dish (was under the impression it would be fried or scrambled) but it was good all the same. The shrimp I had was fire. However the highlight of everyone's night was the ceviche soooo good so packed with flavor. It was my first time trying it and I was obsessed. The bao buns were also pretty good! The coconut flan wasn't available so the restaurant was kind enough to accommodate me and give me the pineapple cake instead. And I'm so glad they did because it was fireee. The one thing I didn't really care for was the passion fruit mousse. The taste of the passion fruit kind of stood alone with the mousse. Nothing really contrasted with it. It definitely would've paired great with maybe a cheesecake or maybe some type of crumbles to take on the feel of a parfait maybe? Now onto the drinks. The drinks were a hit or a miss. I'm a girl who loves a good bitter/sour drink but the "Cock of the Rock" drink I had was super cute (pictured) but definitely a tad bit too bitter for my taste. I also had a swig of my friends Mai Tai and it tasted a little off as well. Howeverrrr I did also have the Lolokoi Sour and it was more up my speed. We came during happy hour ($8 drinks woohoo) so maybe if we ordered the typical drink on the menu our experience may have been a little different. All in all I would definitely return and would definitely recommend for all of those looking for a chill scenic spot with different cuisine.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday night, and well I wasn't really impressed. Aa we walked in the music was nice and loud playing reggaeton to my liking. We had a reservation for 11pm, wasn't really needed because when we walked in and were seated instantly. We sat at the high top area. We didn't order food because we had just come from dinner. Either way the small plates menu didn't catch my eye. Service was good, but the feel was just ok. We gave it a shot.

Yelp
Kaona room "the hidden tiki bar" within Esotico is one of THE ABSOLUTE BEST tiki bar experiences we've ever had the pleasure to visit! Thank you for including us in your pre-Halloween fun with live band @jackiecolada and the jet pilots (great name!). Treated us like family and they REALLY NAILED all aspects of showmanship--making sure everyone sees the fantastic drinks and stellar garnishes from all angles, with dramatic lighting and dry-ice-effects, turntables for twirling of drinks, and fire, of course! Wow, Billy! From the pearl diver's boba surprise to the stunningly clarified zombie, all was superb in taste, balance, visual appeal. Mixologist and owners were so welcoming and professional. Great job, great place, great memories....get a reservation and enjoy!

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday to pop my cherry and let me tell you this tiki place is literally all vibes. It's not even 5 minutes from home so I will definitely be there for happy hour next Simon our bartender shout out to him and his margaritas! Simply Perfecto! I was so hungry that I forgot to take a picture of our 28 dollar Lambo burger with truffle fries. Order it and you will thank me later for this amazing delicious suggestion. Every bite is juicy and if you love goat cheese don't even read further just go ahead and order. Service ambience food and drinks top notch ' mahalo !

Yelp
Came here December 2021 during my bachelorette weekend in Miami. I saw this spot on TikTok and wanted to check it out. We really came here for their drinks. Everyone ordered at least one drink and we all loved it. Some drinks you have the option to take home the souvenir cups. Loved the drinks - too bad we didn't order one of their more special one that includes a mini show. Their drinks reminds me of Trader Sam's in downtown Disney. We also ordered some food, my best friend and I got the pineapple fried rice and loved it. Overall, great spot to hangout. I'd come back here to try more drinks and food!

Yelp
Came here with friends for dinner to try out their Miami Spice menu. I've been here only one other time for a private event and the food and drinks did not disappoint so I knew I had to check this place out again. We went on a Friday night and booked our reservation through Open Table the night before with plenty of availability to choose from. We got two appetizers off the regular menu in addition to our selections from the Miami Spice menu. Everything was really good; from the taste, portion size, and even presentation (they served our drinks with dry ice on the side to imitate a volcano). Honorable mentions included the Truffled Salmon, Rock Shrimp, and Ika Mata Ceviche. Our Esotico Fried Rice was served in a clay pot and we were told to wait at least 5-7 minutes to ensure that it was crispy, but even after that wait the rice wasn't all that crispy. Still good tho! The drinks were great. They have a huge cocktail selection online along with a mocktail menu. The Que Pasa was my favorite, tastes exactly like Yorke Chocolate if that's your kind of vibe. Our only complaint was the wait time in between courses. Our reservation was for 8:30pm and we still had to wait at least 45 minutes before getting our appetizer, and then another who knows how long before we got our entrees despite the place not being crowded until around 10pm. There was a lot of time in between courses where we finished our food and were drinking and waiting, we ended up leaving around 11:30pm.

Yelp
Went for happy hour bites with a friend before seeing a show at the Arsht -- we chose Esotico because we could walk to the show after eating. There was no hostess at the front and it was very dark inside (maybe too club vibes for 6pm). Not the most welcoming environment. Our server seemed irritated when we asked questions deciding what to order. We finally settled on: - salmon bao buns - good, kinda messy - chive dumplings - super oily and not flavorful, would not recommend - calamari - good and crispy but the "special" sauce is really just a basic marinara - veggie spring rolls - decent Overall, it was just an ok experience. Some of the other food looked good and the outside is nice to chill with friends during HH.
google avatar

Amanda W.

Yelp
Interesting neon lights and bathroom situation. Quite dark inside when we dined Had to use flashlight. The food is fusion and the poke bowl was pretty good. I would say their pickled veggies werent. I was really hungry when i came so the food was extra tasty but i love rice and octopus so it hit the spot for me. The texture of the octopus was pretty good sorta soft but still good smoky charred flavor. Drinks were pretty to look at but ok to drink.

Yelp
We found our new favorite bar in Miami! We were looking for a place to have a drink, and Esotico stood it out because of its Hawaiian theme. The young lady at the door and our bartender were very friendly and accommodating. We ordered a couple appetizers and drinks, both were well-made. When we were there in the music was electronic dance music, which I dig. I don't know if they switch on different nights or that's their standard music. We are definitely going back and trying out different drinks and items on the menu. Check it out!

Yelp
I'm in love with this adorable tiki bar. It is not your typical neighborhood bar. They provide such a unique experience. As you walk in, you feel as if you've been transported to some magical Tikiland. The drinks are pricey, but actually worth it. They are strong and delicious and served with flair. They give you a cup of dry ice to add to the ambiance. I tried the Polynesian Pearl Diver and The Bastard. The Bastard is served with a flaming sugar cube on a turning table. So fun! I can't wait to return and sample some more libations.
google avatar

Yelp
Happily surprised to see this place is such a locals only gem and this Yelp page has not been blown up or claimed yet. Although it has its own entrance off the street, it is unmarked, and we entered through the restaurant and were escorted back by a hostess. The music in here is completely different from the restaurant, much more soulful. Some people said that there are nights where there's live music. The drink menu is lengthy and very illustrative, with a story and personality for each drink. Although this is a rum bar, they offer many options. The aesthetic show that accompanies each drinks presentation is worth the trip, with dry ice for smoke, props, fire, and more. The drinks are reasonable for the area and ambience, at less than $20 each. I had the blue Virgin and my date had the zombie for the first round. For my second drink, I tried the colada martini. Both of them were divine, the blue version had an almond infused and textured component that really set off the drink experience, and the frothy foam gave it a light and airy finish. The martini colada was light and sweet and came out with a dancing tiki girl. The owner and his son, both work at the bar and make it a personable and very enjoyable experience. I hope it gets kept a good secret. !

Yelp
So exotic!! Reminds me of Hawaii, love this place. They should open back I will be the first costumer lol

Yelp
Esotico will always have a special place in my heart because my boyfriend & I had our first date here! They have one of the best food & drink happy hour's in Miami and the service is always amazing! During Happy Hour the drinks are $10 & you honestly you can't go wrong with ordering any of the drinks because they are all so good! If I had to choose 2 favorites they would be the El Tikilero & Sexy Colada! Bites are also $10 during Happy Hour, they change up the menu so they usually have different things but everything I've tried is super yummy. I always order the chips & guacamole even when it's not on the happy hour menu! Last time we went I ordered the Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl on happy hour & it was so much food for $10 it was so worth it! Highly recommend for groups & even date night the happy hour usually isn't super packed so it's nice that you're able to sit, talk & enjoy fantastic tiki drinks!

Yelp
I've been wanting to visit here and so glad that I did! It was my birthday weekend and staff was really friendly and helpful. My friends eventually showed up and we managed to have a spectacular time. I loved the ambience in this bar. The decoration is very on point and picture worthy. I loved one of my friends drinks which was a miami one I don't remember but it was delicious that I am coming back here to have the drink alone. Marcello was our server and he was attentive and very chill. Loved having him as our server and taking care of us. Even the girl that was training with him was really nice too!

Yelp
Amazing cocktails!!! Run to Happy hour 5-7pm Mon-Fri (drinks & bites) Along with tiki Tuesday specials as well with more drink selections Ordered various drinks and all were so flavorful and delicious. Large outside seating area surrounded with plants and trees. Friendly and attentive service. Pay to park by the restaurant. *automatic gratuity included on all checks*

Yelp
Esotico has a real tropical feel, making it a fun spot for drinks with friends. Their cocktails are a mix of classic and creative - definitely try something off their signature list. The Pineapple Fried Rice and Grilled Octopus Hot Dog were my favorites. The vibe is lively, with live music adding to the experience. It's not just a bar, but a spot where you can enjoy good food and great drinks in a vibrant setting. Service was good, staff were friendly and knew their menu well. Esotico is a cool spot if you're looking for a tropical escape in the heart of Miami.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick bite and drink. Our server was very helpful when asking for recommendations we ended up getting the chicken tacos and crispy rice. Both were very delicious but small bites. The ambiance in here was very nice! Just wish the menu was a bit bigger but would come back great cocktail menu
google avatar

Jessenia M.

Yelp
Service and ambiance is great! Ideal for a date night. However the drinks have to be watered down. There is no way that in the group of 10 that I was in, not 1 person was even tipsy. Everyone had multiple drinks and it's insulting because you're paying $$$. Do better. I'm sure this isn't the first complaint about this.
google avatar

Veronica P.

Yelp
I went on a Tuesday night and they had a DJ, which was nice, but the music was playing way too loud. It is difficult to have a conversation with the person in front of you. I did not particularly like the food. The fried calamari was a bit soggy, and the salmon poke bowl didn't have a ton of flavor.
google avatar

Meg T.

Yelp
We had an amazing experience at Esotico Miami, a local tiki bar that serves food and drinks with the pomp and circumstance it deserves, ie... fire. The table ordered the savory pork and truffle dumplings, which were small, but delicious and I ordered a few endless summers which were chefs kiss - exactly on point, although they didn't come with fire as some of the table's other drinks did. For dessert we ordered bread pudding, which was the perfect ending to the evening - sweet and sticky with a scoop of vanilla ice cream to add some chill. We will definitely be back to Esotico Miami next time we're in Florida!

Yelp
I came across an IG post about this new joint with fascinating drink presentations and I couldn't wait till the weekend. This place reminds me of MaiTai up in Broward but a smaller more intimate space. Let me tell you that the drinks are crazy good and the presentation is even better. There's a few cocktails that come with a whole spectacle but I opted for the Aged MaiTai brought in a wooden box and the Bastard with a mini flame show. The bartender wasn't playing around and the cocktails are as delicious as they are strong. I had no intention of ordering food but the second cocktail opened up my appetite so I ordered some pork soup dumplings that were finger licking good, so good I had to order more. Order brings 5 dumplings and the sauce alone is out of this world. Succulent pockets of savory broth and moist tender pork filling that just melts in your mouth is best way to describe these. The menu doesn't offer a lot of food and it's more inclined to showcase the incredible cocktails. The service is also top notch for the bartender and waiter were most courteous and attentive. They play live jazz on Fridays and Saturdays and Thursday is more of an open mic evening. I'm coming back on the Jazz evenings because if you know me you'd know I love me some good live music. Oh...the vibes are perfect for an intimate setting or to enjoy delicious cocktails with amazing music.

Yelp
Very nice ambiance. This is one of those places to come to if you want to post pictures of your drinks and ambiance. They have nice presentation for drinks and bring out dry ice for added effect. Our server Marcelo was really nice and very helpful with suggestions. For what it is...it's overpriced and personally isn't worth it. I don't mind splurging on good food..this wasn't it. The flavors were bland and average. The most exciting part of the mean werethe fries......It was a good time to go out with friends but likely wouldn't return.

Yelp
I visited Esotico with two other friends a couple of weeks ago before the ballet. We had about an hour and were planning to have a drink and a small bite. My friends made a reservation at 6:30 PM and we were seated immediately as the restaurant wasn't busy. When we sat down, we each ordered a drink. I had a glass of sauvignon blanc which didn't taste too fresh, but the server happily switched it out for me. We then ordered the STEAMED CHIVE DUMPLINGS, SALMON BAO BUNS, and the TRUFFLE DUMPLINGS. After some time, the buns arrived but they were chicken and not salmon, so those went back. The chive dumplings were pretty tasty. By the time the salmon buns arrived it was already getting late so we decided to cancel the rest of the order since we had to leave soon and the food wasn't coming out quickly enough. Our server was lovely. The issue was really the kitchen getting the order wrong and overall taking longer than we'd hoped to get us our food. The menu is pretty eclectic. The decor is Hawaiian but the music was latin, so we were a little confused by that but it's a cute little place. I MIGHT go back if I were in the area and had more time, assuming I hear that the food is good overall in the coming weeks.

Yelp
We went here for Miami Spice 3-course dinner. The food was overall good, especially the Dynamite Shrimp, Ceviche, and dessert. Entres were alright - the fish was less flavorful than expected. Service was great and presentation was top-notch. They also had mocktails including Piña Colada mocktail which was great. Overall good dinner, but expect a pretty expensive spot.

Yelp
Omg! I LOVED Esotico! I went for my best friend's birthday and it was so much fun! We went for brunch and the me I was amazing! They also have so many specialty cocktails. I had the Hawaii fried rice. I wasn't a big fan because they made sit with curry and that's just not my preference. The chocolate mousse was amazing and dairy free according to the chef! I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Stopped by last night for a happy hour bachelorette and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the service. We ordered a ton of drinks but my favorite was the blue Hawaii. It was absolutely tasty but not too sugary. The pina colada was also a hit among some of my friends. As for the food, we ordered pretty much everything from the happy hour food menu. Ahi tuna poke - this was our favorite. We ordered multiple of these and the fish was so fresh. The guac was delicious. Avocado dips and chips - a classic! Honestly all of their guac is delicious. Pork gyoza - very tasty as well but the portion is really small since it was only 4 tiny pieces. Definitely had to order a few to satisfy all of us Miami wings - this was a favorite as well and the sauce was delicious. Tasted like a tangy bbq sauce Spring rolls - I really liked this! Downside was that the first order had a cold center so we had to return it to get it reheated. But the service was great cause they not only reheated the spring rolls but sent out another order on the house Luau pig - super delicious as well. The pork was very tender and not dry at all Overall great experience and we had a fantastic time there!

Yelp
Had a fantastic time to celebrating my buddy's birthday at Esotico recently. From the decor, to the service and the overall vibe Esotico is a unique and fun location to visit. There are many exotic cocktails as well as a solid menu - in particular I'd call out the lamb burger (80/20 mix of lamb and wagyu beef) as a must. Others enjoyed the pineapple fried rice and wontons very much. Our serve Lorenzo was very helpful as we navigated the drink menu and had questions about the mugs, locale, etc. Looking forward to our next excuse to visit Esotico.

Yelp
I love a good tiki bar. The cocktails were truly inspired and delicious. The food was good- all the seafood dishes we tried were excellent, especially the appetizers. There seems to be a "post pictures on the internet or else" vibe in the place. Our waitress was visibly bummed when we didn't film our dry ice at the table. I'd love to come back and try the secret bar, but it was closed during the Sunday dinner service.

Yelp
We were in Miami looking for a Tiki bar. Sure, you want to have that experience on a beach, but most Tiki bars near the beach just serve flavored mojitos. This place had authentic Tiki offerings including the ability to take home a souvenir mug. This was an amazing experience. It got a little busy later on in the evening (Sunday), but every drink we sampled was over-the-top both in alcohol and in flavor. Particularly, the expert use of the mezcal added a tinge of burnt agave in a way I've never enjoyed quite as much. We weren't able to get a souvenir mug, but though these drinks come at a premium they are masterful concoctions made by "art-tenders". We tried 4 of the drinks, including the Painkiller, Mai Tai, El Zombe, and one other. Each one had a unique look, glass shape and taste. A fun and rewarding experience!

Yelp
Um OK this place was AMAZING. We came here for HH on a Friday. They have a bunch of fun cocktail options for $8. The Blue Hawaii and Sexy Colada were particularly yummy. We had quite a few people so we ordered a bunch of food to share for the table (aka we tried every item on the HH food menu multiple times). The Ahi Tuna Poke was my favoriteee. It was a unique twist on the regular poke bowl but so fresh and the flavor combinations worked really well. Their guac was also particularly good and they included it in the poke bowl. My 2nd favorite item was probably the Lauau Pig. The inside is super Miamiesque and a really fun environment. Service was great. Overall, we had such a fun time here and it didn't break the bank!

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday around 7pm with a huge group (there were 12 of us) and the waitstaff was impeccable. The drinks are all so very extraordinarily made and presented. We all ordered a lot of food and everything came out around the same time. I will be back for happy hour. Hawaiian infused Miami vibessss

Yelp
Oh boy, this place it's so beautiful with a great location and everything about it was excellent. The food was terrific the service was amazing and with cute design inside was so comfy. We tried the Mofongo and it was so delicious creamy and with the nice texture. We also got the empanadas and they were as good as the ones that I'm used to eat in Venezuela. Great service and amazing vibe!!

Yelp
This place looked promising on IG so we decided to check it out. The restaurant is decorated nicely and the drinks are picture worthy. Sadly the food was a huge let down. We had ordered a few items from the menu and nothing wowed us but the crispy chicken boas. The Luau pig had more fat than meat and overall just lacked flavor. This place might be cute for drinks and pics but that's about it. Service was great!

Yelp
I was contacted by management from this place in regards to my last visit which was a horrible experience. Upon my first review I was contacted by management to inquire on my last visit and why the bad review. After explaining with details about my visit and what had transpired, they apologized and promised to mail me a gift card, A GIFT CARD THAT NEVER CAME IN. I reached out to them a few times and now they don't answer my calls and they don't return emails. These people are the worst and turned a bad experience a whole lot worse with their lies and unethical practices.

Yelp
I originally wanted to come here for dinner and drinks but I have a close friend that lives in the building above Esotico and she advised me that the food isn't great, but to go for drinks. So I decided to take my friend for her bachelorette party. We arrived at 11:40pm on a Friday night and the place was dead. I didn't expect it to be busy, but I would've thought there'd be more than 5 or 6 other people. The decor is beautiful and is definitely the highlight of the place. If you order one of their exotic cocktails, they bring the drinks on a tray of dry ice to make a really pretty presentation. However, that was the most exciting part of our visit. I ordered the Esotico rum cup. The flavor of the drink was average, not bad but not great. I wasn't impressed. I really wish this place would've been a little more lively and fun. Overall, it was a very average experience.

Yelp
This place looks like a great atmosphere to get picture worthy drinks and decor. Esotico Miami wasn't busy the time we went and were able to get seated immediately. Every section of the restaurant had different style decor, which was pretty neat. Food and Drinks were pretty pricey for what it was. We ordered the truffle dumplings, and guacamole with chips. We asked for extra chips since we still had some guacamole left. Chips of course cost extra. The truffle dumplings was okay, wasn't anything too special. For drinks I got the Nu Mai Tai. Drink was good and strong. The PI YI drink that comes in a real pineapple, it didn't have much drink in it because the core of the pineapple was still inside of the pineapple. Nice place to go once for a fun. Check this place out if you're looking for a fun atmosphere that offers fire shows with certain drinks.

Yelp
Visit: first Food: Chicken and waffles: large deliciously cooked chicken, perfectly crisp, the waffle was warm crunchy and soft (def a great choice) Pancakes: loved the bacon and bananas but looked fluffy but was very dry Eggs Benedict: same delish chicken, poached eggs and the sauce was interesting but I liked it my friends didnt, comes w a little salad Poke bowl: my husband loved it but wouldve wished for the tuna to be colder to have that fresher taste French toast: comes w icecream! But the sauce was delish Had the tequila pineapple drink 10/10 ** they have only one beer and NO coffee** Atmosphere: indoor and outdoor seating, the inside is pretty small but def spacious for events, we went on a Sunday, the music is very low key and it was someone singing live- he did great but not a party spot (def not a lit spot) the good signs for all my IG people are blocked by actual tables so that sucked Staff: i think staff should know what the meals and drinks taste like, our waitress was nice but not knowledgeable, Didnt advise that only one bill per table, also the manager stopped her mid sentence to tell her to clean a table while she was literally explaining something to us -not professional Tips: reserve, if you want pics go early, get the chicken and waffle, if you want to dance maybe try the dinner ambience? Return: maybe for dinner
