I just want to start saying that this restaurant is GEM. This was our first time going over E&C and we loved it. Food was 5* and service was excellent. Here is what we ate with their stars; Oyster 4* Fried Oyster 4* Deviled Eggs 5* (One of the best we have eaten in city). It has tiny bit spicy kick in it. Chicken Liver Mouse 5* (Good for 2 people) Mushroom Skillet 4* We thought it was little unsalted Chicken 5* and Mac&Cheese was gluten free. Lamb Ragu 4* (House made Ragu sauce is legit) Lamp Chop 5* MUST order, it comes with nicely seasoned watermelon Red Snapper 4* (ours was little dry but we mixed it with sauce on the bottom) Desert Chocolate Layer Cake (Gluten Free) 5* - Nicely done. Mini Pie Trio (Gluten Free) 4* We tasted (Pecan 3*,Carrot 5*,Apple 4* Bread Pudding 4*

This place had delicious brunch food and great ambiance. The Bloody Redemption had bright vinegar notes, perfect for a hangover, and the Magnetic Island was refreshing and not too sweet. The coffee was strong but not bitter. The oysters were fresh but not briney. The beet salad had great flavor and the yogurt added a rich umami flavor to the refreshing beets. The mushroom skillet was small in quantity but was delicious and savory. The chicken and waffles had some of the best fried chicken skin out there. The music was one of my favorite parts, with 90s-00's R&B hits playing at the perfect volume. We obviously would recommend this for brunch.

I wanted to try a new place and Esther & Carol did not disappoint. I love the design of the place plenty of warm wood. I had a a vodka based cocktail (Right Bank) which was a good start. Food was very good I had fried calamari to start and the buttermilk fried chicken which was delicious (there are many other healthier choices (-: ) The service was very attentive and when I asked to see the place they got the manager Kevin to give me a tour of the place. There is a lounge for live music in Thursday’s Friday’s and Saturday’s.

First off, atmosphere is great. Trendy, beautiful and modern, not to mention efficient. Service is superb. We asked if the bar did picklebacks out of fear that it's too high brow for that type of libation, but the great server Darryl, brought two back for my party without asking. And delicious smoky and sweet whisky. Which brings me to the drinks. Subtle but delicious! The food was perfect. Right down to the carb-less Caesar Salad. Had the pork chop and tried the burger. All-in-all great!

Yes! Yes! Yes! Esther and Carol has been a wonderful experience each and every time I have dined there. The top-notch service, delicious food and cocktails, the ambiance. I have paid twice as much at other places for food that wasn't half as good. The Shrimp and Grits is phenomenal! Loved the texture, flavor and presentation. The cozy lounge downstairs with its eclectic mix of talented performers is a nice continuation of a good dinner date. The perfect excuse to sit close to one another on the cozy seating if you want to.

Very cool vibe in this place. In the know New Yorker visit the basement club playing cool music. The street level offer good food and full bar counter making anything u ordered from the bar tender. It opens really late and located literally on the border of Chinatown and Little Italy. Surrounded by cool and trendy restaurants and lounges.

Great food, drinks & service. Definitely recommend the chicken & waffles, the pork chops and eggs Benedict. A must try drink is the papa’s punch and the Bloody Mary with the bacon!

Probably the best server in NYC. We had the calamari, deviled eggs, cheese and charcuterie board, steamed muscles, And the shrimp and grits to share between four of us. All of it was amazing.
