"Esther’s is the best Italian restaurant in Las Vegas, serving fantastic food in a casual-yet-upscale atmosphere that’s great for a nice group dinner where you can pass around a bunch of plates. Start with the juicy meatballs and a sampler of the sourdough served with toppings like Calabrian salami, chili oil, and anchovy butter. You can depend on all the pastas, but we particularly like the mafalda in a slightly-spicy amatriciana. Load up on even more sourdough (in fluffy crust form) by ordering a pizza or two for the table. The restaurant’s original location was tiny and always packed, but it recently moved into a bigger space that’s way easier to get into. It’s also one of our favorite places for brunch." - emmy kasten

In a new location just down the street from its cozy original home, Esther’s Kitchen serves the same reliable fare but in a new, larger building with an expanded bar and an open kitchen. "For something different in the morning, visit Esther’s Kitchen in the Arts District for an Italian take on brunch. Go for the french toast, made with cardamom orange swirl bread and a housemade Nutella. The brunch pizza is topped with lamb merguez, Pomodoro, chorizo, fontina, and quail eggs. Or skip right to lunch with the rigatoni carbonara. The big, open windows in the new, expanded location make it just right for mid-mornings." - Janna Karel
