I loved everything about this restaurant. Went for my birthday dinner with my family. The food was excellent, the drinks were excellent, the vibes and atmosphere were amazing. Our waitress was very nice and patient. Every worker was kind and helpful. The mariachi singer was amazing as well. You can request any song from him, he sang me happy birthday. No wait time to sit. We went on a Saturday at 8:30pm. I ordered the ceviche special of shrimp and octopus for $20. Also 3 tacos of my choice for $11. We all ordered a margarita. They were all so good, Tamarindo, mango, pomegranate, and cucumber. Will definitely be back ! We were all so full and stuffed of the food, so delicious.

I like ordering Mexican food from here! Never gone in person to this location but I usually order from ubereats or Grubhub from here. I decided to try their birria tacos with no cheese and unfortunately they weren’t that good and my tortillas were soggy and fell apart quickly. Next time I will stick with the chicken or steak quesadillas with their yummy yellow rice and black beans! My boyfriend really likes their steak tostadas except for the second one being smushed, still tasted good.

Let me start off by saying the food was good I can’t complain about the authentic Mexican food. However the customer service was awful. The waitress did not attend my family service she’s was constantly ignoring us. It came to the point at the end of our dinner we had to go to the counter to pay for our dinner because she didn’t bring us the bill until she seen us at the counter.

Such a beautiful place ;Service was exceptional They accommodated me and my party of 8 immediately.The Mexican food was authentic; beautiful, and so delicious. Food portions were appropriate. Loved it and will be going back as it is a stunning place to take pics!

Me and my family have been going here for years. It's definitely the best Mexican place in the area.

Even if I have visited a couple of Estrellita Poblana locations already, this one looked the best - The atmosphere was nice, the place was very clean and well kept and the decoration on point - Even if the food was very good, I still prefer their 204st and Webster location 😬 - The SERVICE was not really great... we were a party of 8 coworkers visiting for a birthday celebration... and even if we enjoyed the atmosphere in there and talking with each other, the waiting time to receive the drinks, the food at different times, a drink or a cup or plates if requested.. was unreasonable... we requested the check several times for about an hour and it just simply never came our way 🫠 one coworker literally had to go to the cashier and ask for the bill because it got to the point where the group was already getting upset waiting for so long 😂 Anyways, other than that! I wouldnt really mind going back but hopefully service is better 👍🏻

Been coming here for about 8 years. Met Miriam from our first visit. Always very attentive and all of the other staff members. Everyone looks happy working here. Their guacamole, Lamb Chops and mango mojito are delicious.

The food and drinks were incredible, and service was prompt but the server reached over my food multiple times which was annoying. The ambiance was nice, but sardine type. Don't sit on the rail seats -- People waiting to be seated had their heads close to my food and drinks. Though unintentional it was still an issue. FYI: Most of the servers don't speak English. Overall -- Menu selection 9, Pricing 7, Food 10, Portions 7+, Drinks 8 (use less ice), Ambiance 7, Music 7, Servers 7, Bathrooms 7, Parking 6, very popular spot call ahead to check on wait, need to speak some Spanish though. Even with all of my American culture complaints, I'm definitely going back

It's a little bit hard to find parkings but if you don't drive it is perfect. It's an intimate place and the foods are authentic. The portion is large as I don't need to eat dinner anymore if I go there for lunch. The foods are little salty so I would ask for no salts if I go next time.

Nice chill place. Good family environment. And on occasion, they have entertainment like mariachis. Very authentic feels very traditional.

Ordered take out thru GrubHub, was missing an item. Called the restaurant, was told that the person who packed the food had left, so he didn't know whether the item had really been ordered; although he should have had the receipt in front of them. Very disappointed for the customer service.

Was strolling thru the area and just happened on to this place. Was it the greatest food No, did I get a burger from a Mexican restaurant, yes my fault. The food was fine, but since its not authentic food, I can't be overly critical. The service was great and after I left I forgot I left my hat behind and when I walked back in the handed it back to me, that was great of them.

Ordered takeout from here and the delivery was quick. Their tamales verdes and rojos are amazing! The burritos are really good, especially the Al pastor flavor, the maduros are good, the tacos are okay, the sopes are okay, the churros are horrible. So come for some food but not for all. Definitely not a place for dessert but a great place for a good meal.

The complimentary chips and homemade salsa was the best out of everything. Salsa had little bit of cilantro and friend thinks little spicy. The tacos were fresh but nothing to write home about. Have had better street tacos. The bistec in the sizzling platter was okay, not the steak meat I would have thought. It was flat, stringy beef that was shredded and a bit dry. Vegetables in the platter were a combination of tomatoes, green and red bell peppers , and onions.

Food was great quality and great portions. Service was great it was quick and friendly only downfall is once you are done I did feel like I was being rushed to get out. Additionally I asked for other sauce options and was only given ketchup as an option. I wanted tarter sauce or bbq and they did not have. Ambiance is very hip with Spanish music playing in the background and I saw families with children and couples having dinner.

If you are going to order from this restaurant, make sure you have someone who speaks Spanish to help you. Otherwise, you will be charged a higher price and will get lower quality of food. So racist

I come here almost every other weekend with my brother and father.. definitely one of the best Mexican restaurants and authentic.. great tacos, platters and margaritas.. great service and great family ambiance.

I love this restaurant! The esquites are amazing and the tacos are even better! The guacamole is perfect and the drinks never miss!

Food was good and people were nice. Live music was excellent. The food is a little different than their sister restaurant in throgs neck, but it was excellent nonetheless.

Bugs in food. This is not a good experience. Last time I'll eat at this place. One time there was a maggot in my salad and I let it go because I didn't want to embarrass the owner. But they are not careful.

The one on Westchester ave and castle hill is better than the one on Westchester square. The food is fresh and always tastee. Ordered from the one on the square on a Friday afternoon for lunch while at work and me and my coworker were sick all weekend. Thanks for the south of the border physic. Never again will order from here.

This place is amazing. If I could give it 10 stars I would. Food is the best Mexican food I've ever had, food cost is pretty average. Staff is very nice, accommodating and hospitable. The back yard seating is gorgeous and great for a date. 10/10 would recommend. They do charge a card payment fee so be aware or take cash.

Estrellita serves authentic Mexican cuisine, reasonably priced, and a nice ambience for a place in the Bronx. Their guacamole is always fresh and perfectly flavored with warmed tortilla chips. We had grilled chicken with a side of Mexican rice and black beans and it was amazing. We also had shrimp tostadas which are tasty, the shrimp seasoned nicely and the toppings added a nice variety of decadent flavors. To top off the experience we had coconut mojitos which were on the stronger side (soooo good) and then tres leches for dessert. If you're ever in the Bronx, definitely a place to stop.

We went there to celebrate my birthday, and Estrellita Poblana did not disappoint (as usual!). Food and drinks were on point! We made our chimichanga wet, and the restaurant was very willing to make adjustments to their dishes so we were even happier!

TL; DR: This is truly some of the BEST Mexican food I have ever had. I've been here twice in the past two months and already plotting my return. My boyfriend and I stumbled on this restaurant on during COVID, on a random Monday, after searching for a restaurant that was open at 10pm. We were so pleasantly surprised to be guided into the back patio that was beautifully lit with string lights to set an ambiance that didn't at all feel like the Bronx! ...As if that wasn't good enough, there was a super talented Mariachi band playing (with masks and all!) serenading different tables. It's safe to say the tone was set even before our food arrived -- but that did not disappoint either! Elizabeth was our waitress and truly a GEM!! The queso fundido with peppers was literally the stuff that dreams are made of and so were the burrito, fajitas, and chimichangas/burritos we had on both occasion. Most importantly, the margaritas were strong and DELICIOUS! I mixed passion fruit with mango and it was perfection. Definitely a great option for lots of delicious food and bang for your buck. The icing on the cake is being able to support local businesses. Can't wait to return!

My father is Mexican born and he can't get enough of this place. I was blown away from how well everything was made, from food to drinks. Amazing. I am coming back sooner rather than later.

They did not change price for online menu. Since today is Cinco de mayo the price are double ... They are scammer trying to scam with price

Great food with good portions definitely doesn't disappoint. The best one is the one on Westchester ave, you don't get the same service at the other ones.

You would not walk out of here hungry. The food here is so good the service excellente. The night we went they had music and we really enjoy ourselves. It's a nice family environment and waiter was very family friendly. She assisted us with the menu for my picky 12 year old nephew. Who by the way I enjoyed every bite. The food was not expensive for 3. It was good to find a place not far for my backyard that serves good food that does not break the wallet.

I just had to talk about their carnitas tacos real quick. This is the best taco I've ever had in my life. I've had many tacos from Estrellita Poblana before, but this has taken the cake for me. The pork was perfectly crisp while still maintaining its juiciness. It was like biting into a ripe peach on a hot summer day. I will never forget this taco.

Hands down the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to! I have coming here for past 10 years. Not once did I have bad experience. Good is always so delicious and their customer service is top notch. Drinks and food options are really good as well. Keep up the great work!

Impressive to say the least, love my borough but first to admit sometimes we have to travel to enjoy the better things in life. NOT ANY MORE!!! Clearly I'm late to the party, but better late then never. Nice atmosphere, Good service, Great prices, Wonderful Flavor, & Splendid spices... can't ask for more. Greeted at the door and seated right away, chips and salas with a kick to start (You had me at spice). Water brought to table with lime and drink orders taking. Mango Margaritas ordered with a small guacamole. The margarita was so refreshing and and they actually taste like mango. The guacamole was the one item that was good but could have used more flavor. Then ordered Fish tacos 3/ $13.95 and chicken tacos (individually, can't remember price). The fish tacos were simply amazing fresh, light, flaky, and flavorful. Very filling, was only able to eat two and took the third to go. The chicken tacos were order by my dining companion but they looked equally as tasty. The variety of hot sauces & pickled onions they provided for the table was the pis de resistance for a spicy girl ;-p I look forward to returning soon!

NORMALLY, I eat there in person. This time, my pops ordered food to pick up and go. BAD IDEA. Quesadilla al pastor w/ side salad $15 Guacamole and chips $15 Enchilada de pollo con mole $15.95 PLUS TAX $4.05 (which is NOT the correct charge) TOTAL = $52!! He paid with his debit card and they charged a "NON-CASH ADJ" for $2 more bucks HE GOT ROBBED! Read your receipts before you leave! Not for nothing... but food was still good lol.

Had the huevos rancheros and they were much better than my first experience w/ the veggie burrito. The portion size was solid. I found the sauce incredibly spicy but I had some corn chips which help offset some of that. Their all their breakfast menu is extensive; looking forward to exploring more that menu.

I've been here dining Many times at this place and always come back here because was a nice place to be ! And we tolerate many mistakes!!!!!! But today was a day we had bad service! Hair on our food and lack of professionalism!! Is there a mana??? Wrf and I had to made the mad on my check because the manager doesn't believe?? So the manager is not around wheh service and hair are in my plate but they are in top of tips !!! Never come back!! 300 l$ for tacos and shit service please never dine here !!! Hair on food!!!!!! Always a hit, flautas were crispy & tasty spicy side sauce. Mole burrito platter: such a flavorful sauce. Taco taco & yummy tacos : all yummy. Frozen tamarind or passion fruit is a must - beware of their sneak attack bc they go down so smooth.

I was informed by a coworker that this place had amazing food, so I decided to give it a try. The first thing I ordered was a passion fruit margarita. Usually passion fruit margaritas are made with real passion fruit juice, but here they used a very sweet syrup. I asked my waiter to change my margarita because it was way too sweet. Half way through drinking my new margarita, I realized there was hair on my lime so informed the waiter. I didn't want another drink because I was disgusted. When I received the bill, the waiter tried to charge me for the margarita that had hair on the lime. He eventually removed the charge. The food was mediocre. In The Bronx you can find many Mexican restaurants with better food and service.

Food is fresh everything I've tried so far has been delicious friendly staff was very attentive they have so many different tamales I've tried so many different ones i do recommend the place and the food

The drinks are good but the chicken enchiladas de bandera that I ordered were nasty and way too salty. The chicken actually tasted like canned chicken. Las bebidas las hacen bien pero las enchiladas de bandera, no me gustaron. El sabor del pollo es como si fuera de lata.

Always passed this place never thought it was again good till I was wrong. Since the expansion the new lighting makes the place very inviting. Prices are amazing and the drinks are very good.

First of all, I was able to order horchata, a non-alcoholic rice milk drink I enjoy and try to order when I'm at a Mexican establishment. And it was good! Complimentary tortilla chips and accompanying sauces were one of the better ones I've tried - loved that there's a caboodle of sauces similar to Thai cuisine :) Service is quick and the food is generously portioned and tasty without being over-seasoned or feeling heavy. I got a sizzling plate special with beef, shrimp, and chicken - delicious! Cute spacious setting with lots of families and groups - very festive and everyone (including me) was having a good time.

This restaurant is okay, they give you a lot of food. Found this restaurant on Uber eats, the food was okay. The prices are decent, not expensive at all.

I swear this place will always get my money- they are so damn good! Always satisfying, super good and fresh. Good prices and delivery is super fast. The nachos are so so good & the burrito is fire. My only complaint would be the meat portion on the tacos. I stopped getting them because it would be a light serving of meat. But the burrito and the nachos are wayyyyyy better. Oh and the churros!!!! They're a little pricey but they are such a nice treat to end the meal.

A friend mention Estrellita Poblana and said if I ever wanted a good bite of Mexican food that I should stop in, this place has a great vibe and was nice and fresh as you walk in, comfortable setting, ac was blowing cool which surely helped when the hot plates came out. Today I decided to go light with a order of guacamole to start with some nacho chips and also a chimichangas for the meal. Must say both tasted great and also felt the customer service was pretty fast. Please those tho it was a early dinner and this may effect services due to later times as I hear it is a popular eatery. So be mindful anyway yet again this please was fantastic and the food tasted great. Some photos attached as well.
