Evening Bar

The cocktails are good, I had the rum old fashioned which was great, wish other places made it. Because of the fireplace it can get hot in here, but it's not the type of place where you can take off all your clothes. Probably better to visit in the winter. Also be aware that this place is very expensive, even for New York.

I guess it is relatively new, and not many people heard about this cool place, and this might be the only explanation why this lovely bar wasn’t full on a Friday night. It is not a big place, and it can contain double amount of people if they would organize it in a different way, but then it will lose it magic. There is enough space to privacy, and to be able to hear the person you are with. I saw few couples on their first date, and I thought to myself that there is no better place to meet someone new for the first time. You have private places, or a bar seat. I would choose the sofa. I am sure that in few months, after more people will discover the place, I will not find a spot to seat that easily anymore.

Galerie Bar combines old world charm with modern NYC flair to create a space that is elegant and intimate, but so warm and inviting that it feels like you're hanging out at a friend's or relative's home. With a mellow and welcoming atmosphere, live band, and tasty drinks, it is the perfect place to unwind after work, catch up with a friend, or meet up and talk over a drink. For food, they offer light fare, but we only had the truffle fries, which were really good.

Didn't feel like it was associated with a hotel! Stopped in after dinner for a quick drink and snack/dessert. Ordered a Cadillac Margarita (Casamigos) for me + Vodka Martini (Grey Goose) for my partner + thick Fries + Slice of Chocolate Cake Drinks weren't anything special but the fries were hreat and cake hit the spot. Actually, I'm so glad we stumbled in because their cute and short food menu is PERFECTION for lovers of small bites -- crab dumplings, caviar deviled eggs, spicy tuna crispy rice, shrimp cocktail, oysters, sardines, etc... Things I dream of all in one sexy, cozy place that whisks you far away from the streets of Manhattan. Our chairs were comfy, and there were many seating areas that looked equally as inviting. The bar was gorgeous, lighting was super moody. The room was daaark and not very busy on a Friday around 8-8:30 P.M which we appreciated. Our waitress was fabulous and so friendly, great with timing and checking in!

This is a great spot for cocktails and for people watching. They have great martinis and the service is good.

It's a hotel bar inside the Smyth. Nice ambiance but wish it could feel more intimate and private. Cocktails we had were pretty good.

True mixologist behind the bar here! Relaxed, but sophisticated ambiance. Premium drinks prepared with excellent results. I had The Manhattan and my wife had the girl with pearl ear ring both were great. We highly recommend the caviar potato crisp! Great place for drinks before dinner reservations.

This place was nice. You want a classy cocktail spot, sheltered from the city streets, look no further. I had a Hemingway daiquiri, which is my go-to drink. My host had a Old fashioned made with Plantation Rum. It set him back many dollars, but I can vouch for its quality. We had a big group and a lot of laughs and the staff took good care of us. Go here. It's hard to get 5 stars from me, so you know it will be memorable.

Very upscale, dark, swanky place for a drink. Many steps up from the average bar- this is just a really nice place. Service was absolutely excellent - every single person who came over was incredibly helpful and thoughtful with suggestions. Drinks were great - including mocktails, which were impressive. Didn't eat, but menu also looked strong. Minus one star for noise level only. If we could have heard each other, would be 5 stars all the way. But that's no reflection of the service or vibe, both of which were terrific.
