"Marked by a simple red awning, the blink-and-you’ll-miss-it exterior of Everest on Grand belies a spacious and sunny dining room inside. Here, Nepalese, Tibetan, and North Indian classics share space on the menu, with tomato-based curries and tandoori cooking featuring heavily among the offerings. Momos are a must-order, served steaming hot alongside a wide range of condiments, from the fiery potato achaar to cooling raita made with house-blended yogurt. With many vegetarian, dairy-free, and gluten-free options, Everest is also a great place for groups with mixed dining needs." - Julie Yu

The food is tasty! This is the first time trying Nepalese food and I like it.

I love this restaurant, the food is just so so good. you can't really go wrong. I was so glad when they made it through the pandemic when so many other good places in the area closed. They have many tasty vegetarian options, including veggie samosas. I really liked the makhnai.

The food is delicious! Service is welcoming and pleasant. The atmosphere is delightful! Great family environment as well as date night! The food is amazing! I'm from Texas and whenever I'm back this way visiting my Mommy, it's a new family feeding ground. If you're ever in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area looking for great food. Stop by and be amazed!

Good food, friendly service. Plenty of seating. Good vegetarian selection as well. Will definitely come back for the momos on a rainy day.

Google
This was my first experience with Nepalese food and it was so tasty. My husband and I split a 6 piece veg momo and a chicken Thukpa. The momo was flavorful and the pastry had a great texture. Really enjoyed the special momo sauce. The Thukpa was delicious. We had a 2 spice level. Enough for a little heat but not overwhelming. The chicken was so tender and there was plenty of veggies and noodles. The naan was perfect to soak up the soup broth. Service was also good, friendly and waters were always filled. Food came out timely. Overall a good experience!

Google
My wife and I love Indian food, so this Nepali restaurant seemed like it would fit the bill (we had looked up the menu online just to be safe. We arrived near to close, maybe 1 hour and 15 minutes before they closed up shop, but we still received quite excellent service. I strongly got the feeling that this is family owned and run business, which easily kicked it up a notch in my experience - and it was only confirmed when our food arrived. I started with a "Taj Mahal Premium" lager, imported from India - I quite enjoyed it, and wish I had ordered the larger size bottle (I don't normally drink much of anything, particuarly beer, but this was shockingly good), whereas my wife Elizabeth ordered a mango lassi (think like, a yogurt milkshake) since we both ordered the same dish, in the end - Palak Paneer; however I ordered mine to be of medium spiciness, Liz asked for "as spicy as you can make it." ...,my wife REALLY likes spicy food. >In the picture I will include with this upload, you will be able to tell which is hers - it is the one that is significantly darker orange than the other, far more delicious medium spiciness. .....oh, of course I am being facetious! To each their own and she doesn't take issue with my vegetarianism, so why would it bother me that she wants to butn her tongue off with flavors. We both were enjoying our food extensively when our server came to check on us, and I asked him why the Palak was mostly orange when nerly every other Palak or Saag dishes had been 98% green. The server explained that the process they used was to blanch, blend, and then cook roma tomatoes, mixing most of the spices at that level, and then adding the blanched and shredded spinach (using nearly the same amount of spinach as they would've had to use without this method - and that the spices along with the acidity from the tomatoes allowed magnification of the details of the dish, sweetness and umami that were otherwise lost in such a spice-heavy dish. We went home happy, with intent to patronize again (maybe even a place to take our parents soon!), and our leftovers didn't even last 12 hours in the refrigerator. TL;DR -everything was great, the slight bit higher prices WELL made to be worth the date night because of the quality, service, atmosphere and *EXTREMELY* flexible and diverse menu. Speaking from the perspective of a lifelong vegetarian, seeing so many main options on the regular menu is so, so heartening and vindicating.... And in no way are the veggie options worse - they were the STARS of the menu.

The food here is great. It’s a lot like Indian food but obviously it’s got its own special characteristics. The staff were inviting and attentive. Great place, would definitely go again !

Google
Food is fantastic. Service is just as good. My wife and I were able to hang out with the owners kids while we ate. This made the experience much better, made it feel likehome.

Yelp
I'll preface this by saying this place is special to me simply because they catered our wedding. So whatever else happens, they will always be number 1 on that dimension. Their food is a bit on the pricey side for your typical South Asian restaurant, but they are definitely not doling out typical food! Their naan is superior to anything I've had for the past 3 years in Philadelphia. The reason - they have an actual tandoor. None of that frozen stuff being thawed out. Also, how about momos that are not deep fried. These folks have them. Another somewhat unique dish - the katahar curry which is made of jackfruit. Whenever I'm in the twin cities, I'll be eating here. I just hope more people appreciate this place. Perhaps a slight lowering of the prices will help with that (in case the restaurant owners ever read Yelp reviews).

Brooke I.

Yelp
First time here and was super excited to try Nepalese food, so didn't get many pictures (whoops). We had a table of 6 and ordered family style to share between all of us. Orders: Yak momo (12): DELICIOUS. Would 100% ordering this for anyone coming here. They were delicious. Cheese pakora: yummy deep fried cheese with a nice sauce - how could you go wrong? Naan: we ordered the garlic naan and butter naan. The butter naan was the best! Chicken thukpa: amazing soup with noodles. I wish we had ordered 2 of these. One was not enough. Chicken tikka masala: not bad, but not my favorite. I wouldn't order again because I liked everything else a lot better. Kabuli Chana: also v good! Came with rice. Though I still liked the soup and sides wayyy better. Overall, the service was great and it was a nice place to hang out and eat with friends. I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu!

Nalani T.

Yelp
Reliable restaurant with consistently delicious food and friendly service. Deserves a lot more love than it gets.

Yelp
My friend Tim asked me if we could meet for lunch. A belated birthday. It's where we used to meet every so often when we worked together five and more years ago. We went simple and ordered just two dishes. One was a five star for sure and the other was definitely quite good.

Yelp
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Very nice little " mom & pop" kind of place. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yelp
I ordered delivery from Everest on Grand and was delighted by the food! I ordered the palak paneer and chicken tikka masala to have leftovers. The menu was marked with gluten-free options so I had no trouble ordering within my dietary restrictions (allergies). While I wish that the spice level was a little higher, the medium heat level was good. The only thing that was not exceptional was the chicken, which was a little dry. Overall, the flavors were wonderful and I look forward to ordering/eating here again!
Hiroshi A.
Yelp
This place was so tasty! Momo's were impressive. Thin skin with plenty of savory veggies in them. The tika masala was flavorful and tasty. The noodles were also delicious. I love the fact that they have parking behind the building. If you are looking for comfort food in a nice small setting with homey service, this is the place to be!
Kedar D.
Yelp
Everest on Grand is still a good place (3 stars is not a bad review in my book), but the Twin Cities is blessed with numerous Nepalese/Tibetan/Himalayan spots and I don't think it's the best around. (Gorkha Palace in Northeast Minneapolis is the reigning champ). The restaurant labels all its vegan items which is helpful. I got the veg samosa ($6 for two) and did think these were great and savory. The veg momo ($8) was also excellent with a wonderful, spicy dipping sauce. The potato achaar ($5) is a cold potato appetizer that tasted pretty good, albeit slightly vinegar-y. The okra ($14) is vegan by default and pretty good, though the katahar (jackfruit) ($14) curry didn't wow me. Similarly, the veg thukpa ($14.25) failed to impress, being bland and too thick. The roti ($3.45) was too thick and not made well at all. If you're looking for better Nepalese food in the Twin Cities, Gorkha Palace is my go-to, though Himalayan Cafe on Lake Street is also respectable. Namaste Cafe is hipster-cool with unusual offerings, but pricey. Everest on Grand is the best in St. Paul, but not the best in the area.
Molly A.
Yelp
The food being the most important part of the experience, the flavors and execution were there. The curries were tasty and the lamb was cooked perfect. Also got the combo momo - personally didn't care for the sauce it came with but the momos themselves were real good. The naan and rice were fine. Costs were fairly pricey, though prices are up everywhere. Service was fine. The interior is a bit tired appearing and bathroom was not well kept up - so my initial impressions were not good - but the curries and momos were good. Solid option for the area, but if I am specifically seeking out Himalayan/Nepalese food, I'd like to try some of the other places in the Cities as well.
Tim S.
Yelp
Love this place. Great selection of Indian and Himali foods. Friendly service. They can really accommodate any spice level you need - I love heavy spice and their vegetarian dishes did not disappoint. A bit pricy post-pandemic, but worth it to keep this place going. Will definitely be back soon - Everest is our go to in the area for Indian food.
A.M. E.
Yelp
So I have been to this restaurant a total of 8 times and I have ordered in as well and I can say that my experience represents a trend and the trend is that the food is not very good and highly overpriced and the customer service is low to non existent. While the owner tries to be nice he definitely nickel and dimes the experience by charging you an extra dollar for every little bit of momo sauce or tamarin sauce. First he gives you a small amount of it forcing you to order more and he then proceeds to nickel an dime you, you'd think that after spending almost three hundred dollars he'd at least comp that- Indian house on grand - by comparison does not charge extra for said items. The worst part is that you do not feel well after eating their food it is not made and or served in any way that nourishes you. With that in mind I will never go back to Everest on Grand. India house is a far better experience and the food far superior to it. I will however look for other Nepalese restaurants in the twin cities and try them.
Yelp
Both lover and I have been here before, many years ago. We both had fond memories, so we decided to add a new one to the mix. Unfortunately, I think this was not a memorable experience. It's not bad, it's just not as good as some other spots. Our experience of the service was slow. But we went super early.. like 85 year old early (4pm). We pretty much had the place to ourselves. I think the vibe might be better during busier times. First we ordered half of momo's. We got the meat mix Momo. It was the best thing out of all of it. My Lamb Tikka Masala was better than my lover's meatball masala. Neither had any vegetables in it. Some places do that and turns out I like that more. The Roti is not like we've had before and pales in comparison to India Palaces' naan. They have Saint Paul's flat earth beer which is cool. Go for momo's and beers then have your main meal somewhere else. On a side note, they sell earrings and hats by the checkout, so if you find yourself being an arse during dinner and need to apologize or you forgot a birthday gift for your special friend, turns out this place has got your back! Try not to be an arse though. EM
Yelp
Our group of four ate at Everest on Grand Saturday evening. Plenty of tables inside. Staff was wearing masks. It was a little chilly by the door but plenty warm deeper inside the restaurant. We had a variety of dishes. Garlic naan - really good. Pakora, samosas, okra, cauliflower, chicken vindaloo, and chicken tika masala. Everything was tasty and well prepared. Service was excellent. Our server was friendly. The prices were higher than I expected, but I guess prices are up everywhere after the pandemic.
Anne F.
Yelp
Accessible to folks new to the cuisine. Delicious dishes in generous servings. Service is attentive but unobtrusive.
Tom I.
Yelp
This well-oiled machine serves flavorful and exciting food that is familiar if you know and like Indian food but offers a twist that intrigues and satisfies. We had the yak momo -- by the end of the evening we started to wear out the joke that we wanted mo mo momo, but it didn't diminish our growing love for these yak meat dumplings. Mo momo! Make sure you order this dish. We also had a lamb curry, the matar tofu and the chicken thukpa. All were excellent. An order of naan and roti rounded out the meal.
Vincent P.
Yelp
Overpriced food lacking no flavor whatsoever, lethargic staff with no manners, the ambiance is so dim. Surprised that this place exists as a restaurant on a main corridor.
Carlos P.
Yelp
Got the Chicken Chhoyla and Yak Momo. The Chicken was a little bit on the dry side, the Yak was nice. Good flavors all around. Ive had many different dishes here, first time posting an overdue review. While the Chicken Chhoyla is not the best dish on the menu, overall the food here is good. During the buffet its the best value. They have a trimmed early menu
Rachel W.
Yelp
Amazing, authentic, hot, filling food. Wow what a great place. The wait was about 15-20 minutes an hour before closing on a Wednesday and was busy! It's probably because of how amazing the food is. I ordered the full plate of veg momos for me and my boyfriend. I promise you, I could've easily eaten 30 alone. They came out piping hot, and with an AMAZING homemade sauce, i would ask for extra. The vegan selection here is plentiful and you don't even have to customize anything, which is a relief. I got the tofu with potatoes, peas and a rich tomato sauce. It was FILLING and very authentic tasting. The food is seriously temperature wise HOT. Spice wise, could've turned it up a notch. I ordered a level three, and it was not spicy enough for me, so i'd go big or go home here. It came with a huge portion of rice and seriously i can't stress enough how filling this place is. The service wasn't quick, but wasn't too long. The staff is friendly and attentive. Would recommend highly, but perhaps call in advance to see if there's a wait or not. Awesome, healthy, comforting food. Thank you!
Abe A.
Yelp
The tikka masala is great I got the Lamb Tikka Masala and my dad got chicken Tikka Masala
Lauren H.
Yelp
I LOVE this place! They have a huge menu with so many delicious options. I love their vegetarian and vegan curries and dishes. My 2 year old even loves the food. There is a little something for everyone!
Marie B.
Yelp
I used to came here all the time 14 years ago. Now after returning, the prices have quadrupled and the quality has drastically decreased. I ordered the momo's, and what I got was something else. They had zero flavor, not even salt. The only explanation I have for them, is they are store bought frozen, and they steam them and call them "authentic momo's".I cannot say anything about any other dishes on the menu, but their momo recipe needs some work.
Eliana B.
Yelp
Super super bland. The chicken tikka masala had too much cream in it. It was very light in color and surprisingly bland. The garlic naan also had no flavor. The chicken momo was alright though. Also is was very over priced. Kind of wild prices for quality of food.
Adam S.
Yelp
Ordered Daal soup. It was like water! Very bad deal! Sort of depressing atmosphere. Perhaps it is living on a past reputation for decent food. Or is popular with people who have not lived in or visited Asia before.
Conrad K.
Yelp
Currently my favorite Indian restaurant. But not just Indian, Nepalese! It's wonderful.
Whitney C.
Yelp
I have to say, I wasn't sure quite what to expect when I walked in, considering I hadn't had Nepalese cuisine before. However, I had a wicked craving for curry and my excellent date suggested we hit this up. I was more than excited to dig into some raita, chicken tikka masala, and basmati rice. It probably didn't help that I walked in pretty hungry, but our wait for the naan to come out was longer than I had expected. Again, not being overly familiar with Nepalese cuisine, I was taken slightly aback by the sweeter taste to the naan, but I wasn't in any position to be picky. The wait staff was super friendly, but the wait to get our main courses just kept dragging on. Luckily, I was in good company, but it was still a bit excessive (in fairness, they were busy). When the chicken tikka came it out, it was just the right flavor. I would possibly consider getting takeout from this place, but not necessarily go out of my way to eat in.
Madelaine K.
Yelp
In the past this restaurant consistently provided kind and helpful service, something has changed. We visit the Twin Cities from our home 3 hours north. Due to COVID, for the last few years they have not had sit down service. Tonight we discovered they had sit down. We had already ordered our order to go. It was 4:30 pm, only one party in the restaurant, so we asked if we could just change the status to eat in. They said no. We received the food, we asked for Chia. They said they do not have any (by the way, across the street at Kowalski's are all the spices) . We asked for forks with the to go order. They only had spoons. We asked for a paper plate or something to eat on, they didn't have a plate. We have always enjoyed Nepalese Food. In college, my husband worked at a Nepalese restaurant in Boulder. So, we are disappointed that the proprietor of this restaurant lacks the gracious hospitality of so many other restaurants. The food is fine but the treatment towards customers leaves a bad taste in your mouth. There are other restaurants with the same quality food.
Sarah S.
Yelp
Flavorless runny curries!!I have had so much better.. Ordered asparagus very good and tikka was decent!Momos were ok some undercooked too.Shrimp curry and chicken curry average so was cauliflower sabzi . Naans were hard and dry!!!Garlic naan was flavorless and like a cracker more than bread, pretty hard to even chew!!! Service was pathetic had to call them for every little thing!We were 7 adults 2 kids they already added gratuity 20 percent with such pathetic service in our bill!! The only thing good was their mango ice cream! Never coming back!!
Julia B.
Yelp
Delicious, authentic food. I'm always impressed with the bold flavor, generous portions and friendly service. Highly recommend!!
Molly S.
Yelp
I honestly have no clue how or why we have lived in the neighborhood as long as we have and never had made it here. But we finally did get takeout from them last week and we will order again and definitely will try dine in next time) and I am so glad. We ordered the veggie samosas which were large portions (and reheated well in an air fryer, in case you have leftovers), the chicken momo, the tofu vegetarian chau chau, the Mater Tofu (which was fantastic) and the chicken tikki masala. My faves were definitely the Mater Tofu, the samosas and the tikki masala. But so many more things to try next time.
Jen B.
Yelp
I ordered the shrimp curry and the shrimp was tough. I ended up throwing away the food - due to not bring able to eat it. I used to love this restaurant before and I am not sure what happened to it. The menu price was $17.95 for this dish.
Jonathan C.
Yelp
No complaints about the lunch buffet, though it is a little small. The chicken was nice and spicy. Use Yelp check in offer to save $2 off buffet. Staff were courteous and refilled my water. Cinnamon and cardamom coffee was interesting, but I don't know that I'd get it again.
Kristin W.
Yelp
Worst veggie momos I've had and I've had many. I was introduced to homemade veggie momos from my Nepali students mother. Best food in the entire world. For an accurate veggie momo and momo sauce, try the ones at The Himalaya or Highland Cafe and Bakery. The owners of Everest should also taste other veggie momos across the city and step their game up. The veggie momos at Everest were under filled, too doughy/ too much dough (gross mouth feel), under cooked so they stuck together and ripped open, and the momo sauce tastes very different and overly spicy. It's not momo sauce but some sauce from another dish that tastes slightly reminiscent of momo sauce. I'll never order momos from here again. I'll be driving 20 minutes to Highland Cafe and Bakery (the owner is Nepali and they serve about 6 Nepali food items on their menu), which are the best in the Twin Cities in terms of construction, authentic taste, and presentation.
Kelly O.
Yelp
Seriously delicious food here. I just discovered this place last night and already returned for a second meal within 24 hours. I highly recommend the veggie momos. Steamed perfectly and full of flavor. My friend got the yak momos and scarfed them down equally fast. Service was somewhat slow yet polite, and I was happy with everything I got. Decent but small selection of beers which was nice. For the price I got a really nice portion of food as well. 10 dumplings(momos) for $10. Definitely one of my new favorite places to stop and grab a bite.
Janice R.
Yelp
We love the momos and lamb dishes from here. Our vegetarian daughter is also always able to find a meal that makes her happy.
MJ H.
Yelp
Buffet needed to be replenished when we arrived, so minus a star for that. The salad bar in particular was super low, but we asked for it to be freshened up. The food is definitely tasty. Cute little place that doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles, because it doesn't need it. Just good food, plain and simple!
Tom M.
Yelp
I've now been here a few times. Everest on Grand has become a favorite restaurant. I only wish I had more money to spend out. I'd go here almost every week if I could. They use spices wonderfully. The bouquet begins a euphoria before you enter the door. The lamb tikka masala has become a favorite. The chicken palak is also a great dish. Naan comes out fresh and delicious. I always get one of the white wines, prefering something full bodied and floral to compliment the spices. Come when you can enjoy time with your meal and conversation, and it's always best with people who don't have narrow, specific tastes who might complain about not finding "regular" food. Everest is a gem.
Hua Y.
Yelp
Always wonderful to eat here! Good quality food! I would recommend the lamb curry, but really any dish is good. The spice level is really hot, if you normally eat hot... do the medium spicy.
Kayla L.
Yelp
The last two orders have been great! I just can't stay away. I love the food. It is so easy to order online...I find myself not only craving the food but craving the ease of which I can order it. This shelter in home corona nightmare really has made my appreciate their platform more.
Sue S.
Yelp
We've now dined here a few times for dinner and are really beginning to like this place. First, unlike another business down the street, Everest welcomed us with open arms when we walked in half an hour before closing time. Second, we've gotten to ordering chicken curry and chau-chau (a noodle dish that kind of reminds me of lo mein in Chinese places). The chau-chau comes with your choice of meat... I'd recommend chicken or shrimp. The vegetables are nice and fresh and the whole dish is just perfectly prepared. We also have ordered the meat momos and found them to be just as delicious as the yak momos. It's truly a heart-wrenching decision to choose between the two. Finally, order a garlic naan bread for the table. It is SO good, especially right out of the oven just made for you! Though I have read service complaints from others, we've never experienced any. In our experience, the staff might not be the most chatty, but they are helpful, knowledgeable and eager to please. They bring refills before they are asked and they get the food incredibly right. Sure we will be back soon.
Shayna T.
Yelp
Love this place! Great for Nepalese/Indian comfort food. So many vegan/vegetarian options too, which is great for me. GF options as well. Service is often slow, but I would highly recommend.
Tian Q.
Yelp
Food: -Yak Momos, tasted fine, but I don't see the big difference among momos/dumplings/gyoza/other similar asian stuffed dough pocket things -Khukurako Chhoyla (boneless chicken thigh meat), well-seasoned and good. -Okay price for the giant entree portions. HOWEVER... it pisses me off when some places refuse to customize the entree portions. I'm a smallish antisocial asian girl who likes to eat alone and sample varieties. Call me a food-elitist, but I don't eat to feel full, I eat for enjoyment. I was not happy about paying full price so I could stuff myself with 2 pounds of chicken chhoyla, and ended up giving away most of my plate ("what a waste of money", the stingy asian in me thought). I don't understand why it's so hard to make half portions and just charge me half the price, it's not rocket science. Service: -One of the most unenthusiastic and non-energetic waiters I've had. If sleeping beauty was a bigger brown man, he'd be it.
Andrea T.
Yelp
This place is so good, it's one of those things where I almost don't want other people to know because I want it all to myself! My whole family loves this place, and one of our favorite things to do is bring a new person each time we go. We've turned most of our friends and fam into superfans. The momo is amazing! I don't know what the sauce is made out of, but it's like a flavor explosion of excellence - I scarf it down like it's my job. So, so good. I recently tried the palak paneer, and it was different from some I've had before, but in a fun, interesting way. I'll always come back to this place - one of my favorite restaurants in the world, of all time. Yum.
Emily Z.
Yelp
Came here a few times for dinner and ordered a tikka masala, garlic naan, and mango lassi (my classics). I was impressed but this was YEARS ago... I did not the prices of the menu and it seemed more than other Indian places I've been to..Not sure what happened but I am significantly disappointed with my most recently experience. I had the lunch buffet and was expecting more for sure. They had only 6 options or so in the hot bar area and nothing was ever fresh or full... I went up three times and each time the food was the same as the time before with less and less food. It was prime lunch time (noon) too so I was confused why nothing was coming out, especially for a Friday lunch hour. Lady who helped me at checkout did not honor the Yelp check in offer (beware) and was pretending to struggle with it but then she finally pressed the one button to get the $2 off to work. I could tell she knew how to do it, she just seemed reluctant to do it which was sad. Needless to say, I will not be coming back.
Manish R.
Yelp
What a big disappointment and a rip off Went for dinner with my family .We ordered noodles for my 10 yr old with no veggies The size of noodles that came out was like literally 2 - 3 spoons of noodles The reason given was since there were no veggies that's the size .They are charging like $12 for the noodle dish and it was like a baby food portion What a scam and rip off
Rachel M.
Yelp
If you like spicy food- this is the place for you. About three bites in- I couldn't feel my lips. (Note: we ordered it medium.) We started with the veg momo (a house specialty). They were tasty and different. For mains we did the veggie thukpa and veggie chau-chau. The thukpa was almost boiling. To combat we took out noodles and set on our plates to let cool, then spooned a little soup and added noodles to that cooled spoon. The chau-chau was similar to a lo mein- with each bite getting progressively spicier. The service was just ok. Not the most pleasant. I'm glad I tried something different but wouldn't order the same dishes again.
Chloe C.
Yelp
This is my new favorite restaurant! I had the jackfruit curry and my partner had the shrimp curry. They were both incredible! The veggie momos were a fantastic start too! The food was so different to what I'm used to but we were both so pleased with every single thing we got. The service was great despite it being a full restaurant on a Monday night! I will definitely be back!
Amy O.
Yelp
Everest is my FAVORITE restaurant. Hands down. The lunch buffets.... The veg momo.... The curries.... The potato achar. So, so good. You cannot go wrong at Everest!
Best Indian type food in Minneapolis, and that's coming from a person who grew up in an Indian family, eating an Indian dinner made by an Indian mom every night. If my family wants to have authentic Indian food at a restaurant, this is THE place we go to. A word of advice, go for dishes with no cream to enjoy a truly authentic meal, plus then you can eat more! Our Family's go-to combo: Appetizer - Chicken Momos and Yak Momos Main Course - Maasu Daal Bhaat Combo with Chicken Curry, Jack Fruit Curry (if you're up for trying a new veggie), Chaarako Chaati (Grilled Tandoori Chicken) and it comes with Daal. If you want to go really authentic, ask for some onions and lime on the side. Make sure to get some naan with all of this. Dessert - Finish a great meal off with a nice glass of Mango Lassi
Yelp
The food here is incredible!! Wasn't sure what to expect, but walked out feeling so satisfied. It's on a corner off Grand Ave and pretty easy to find and lots of free street parking and a little parking lot in the back. We ordered the veg momos, lamb Curry, Palak Paneer, and garlic naan. I would highly recommend all of these choices. The veg momos were like little homeade dumplings and came with a fresh sauce (you can choose an order of 6 or 10), the lamb in the lamb curry was extremely tender and we chose a mild+ spice level (would choose 1 spice level higher next time as mild+ wasn't too spicy at all), Palak (aka spinach) paneer was one of our favorites and great to dip the naan in! The lamb Curry and palak paneer came with basmati rice. You could tell everything was freshly made as it took awhile to come out and was hot but it was definitely worth the wait. There were 3 of us that split these dishes and it was plenty of food and the perfect combination of tastes. We ate it all with no leftovers. Service was just ok. Our waitress didn't come back to our table after we ordered the food so our water never got refilled and we had to ask another waiter for our bill, but like I said, the food and flavors of everything makes up for it. Can't wait to come back and try their other dishes.
