Everydaily - Review - Koreatown - New York - The Infatuation

"In Koreatown, Everydaily is a fast casual lunch spot serving some small, set Korean meals to eat in or take out. They’ve got things like kimbap, kimchi udon, and salmon poke bowls. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Will Hartman

Google
A stellar experience - the food here is fast, affordable, and very good. We enjoyed everything we got, and the prices usually sit around $5-6 for a plate. There is a massive variety, from vegetable and shrimp tempura to potato croquettes. Rice dishes like kimchi fried rice, and bento boxes with sweet and spicy fried chicken and rice. They also have a small section with pho, and some meat-dedicated sections like Korean blood sausage. We got the tteokbokki, pork buns, croquettes, and a dine-in only item, tonkatsu. Each was good - the tteokbokki was spicy and rich, the pork buns weren’t filled as much as I’d like but they were fresh and sauced well. The croquettes were excellent - the tonkatsu sauce must be made in-house and it’s exceptional: vinegary, sweet. The namsan tonkotsu was absurdly delicious. The spicy noodles weren’t available so they served a soup (which was good too), but the crispness of the tonkotsu was brilliant - this was a slice of fried heaven. The sauce was salty and umami, the radish salad and macaroni delicious, and the rice added on made this almost enough for 2 meals. It was exceptional, and exceptional value.

I really like this place! The lunch meals are affordable, and I think the quality and cooking are better than the nearby competitor. I had the salmon set. Great taste and unbeatable price. I also tried the soy garlic chicken, which was juicy, tender, and definitely better than what other place offer. I’ll definitely be back! Also, there is a coffee shop inside.

Google
What a nice little concept! You can grab all sorts of Korean food. The prices are also fairly reasonable, I did not see anything above $12. Then after you buy your food there is a place to sit down and it’s actually quite spacious too. Good place to grab a quick lunch!

Saw reels on social media; learned from a staff member that they've been open around 2 mos. There's a coffee counter; then in the middle are the food area and cashier. On shelves are varieties of meal options - pick complete bento boxes with sides and rice, and bowls; or mix-and-match separate items like sausages, fried rice, korean chicken, kimbaps; small shareable sides like banchans, croquettes, etc. Was hard to choose so decided to get a few to share and taste. Paid and went to the back where there's ample seating and microwaves for heating up (instructions posted). There's a station set-up for trash, etc and a sink. In the box: Beef patty was a little sweet; crab croquette was very creamy inside; with purple rice and egg. Some liked the Korean blood sausage - doesn't have a strong flavor, but dry so ate it with pickled veggies. Mackerel has some bones. The tonkatsu is the only item cooked fresh after ordering. They said 20min-wait and that was accurate; and brought to our table. It is quite large, so for at least 2 people (my son took 2/3 of it and was enough). With rice, (sweet) corn soup, cabbage salad, mac salad, kimchi and a long hot pepper. I like the idea of no-fuss ready-quick meals at good prices. Seeing how the place is- clean, organized, helpful staff- we will most likely return. Restroom available. Located in busy 34th St area, near Macy’s so very easy by public transportation; metered street parking in the area.

I stopped by Every Daily in New York when I was in the mood for something quick but still filling, and I’d say it lived up to the “fast” part. The service was efficient, and I didn’t feel like I had to wait around forever for my food. For someone on the go or taking a short lunch break, that’s a big plus. The standout for me was the shrimp plate the shrimp were cooked just right, not rubbery, and they had a nice flavor that paired well with the sides. You can tell some care goes into preparing it, and it definitely felt like the highlight of the menu. If I were to recommend anything here, it would be that dish. That said, I can’t overlook the pricing. While the food was solid and the pace convenient, I felt like the portions and quality didn’t quite justify how much I paid. It’s not that the food was bad it wasn’t but when you stack it up against other spots in the city that serve similar plates for a little less, it makes you think twice about coming back too often. Overall, I’d give Every Daily 4 stars out of 5. Worth trying for the shrimp plate and quick service, but the pricing holds me back from rating it higher.

What a great discovery! This Korean spot totally surprised me. Honestly, the only downside was that there were so many tempting options on the menu that I left frustrated I couldn’t try them all. The dishes I did choose were super flavorful and satisfying. For a midday lunch, it’s really solid. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

Google
Literally THE best Korean spot around, if not THE best restaurant, that is affordable, has a great atmosphere, but lastly; DELICIOUS food! I have come here 3 days in a row, and I might just come everyday haha. I enjoyed every meal in my photos. Highly recommend the tonkatsu!

Located off a quiet street on 35th… I like the variety of lunch boxes, and sides available for mix and match. Passed by a few times and came back last week to pick up a bento box - garlic shrimp with purple rice and kimchi radish/fishcake banchan. Also picked up Ttoekbokki and fried dumpling/seaweed mix. Not a fan of the ttoekbokki - tad too sweet for me; and the fried dumpling & seaweed rolls were just ok. The garlic shrimp bento box was pretty good tho. Would buy again. Total for 3 items about $22+. Self service. Seatings in the back. A separate coffee place in the front.

Yelp
This is a new spot. If been battling crowded Korea town restaurants then this would be a much quieter option. Not that it was not busy but it's just on a less trafficked street in the area. Warm welcoming staff, right as I entered ,big smiles and conversation that was very pleasant. There's a coffee/tea station at the very front so if you just want drinks you dont have to go to the main area. Then onto the grab and go stations and dining area is behind that if you choose to stay. Shelves of Korean comfort food for your picking. Very modesty priced .price ranges from 3.99 to many aro7nf 6.98 and under $10 . Lots of options . I had the spicy pork dosirak. It was soo good. Food on shelves are packaged with clear lids so it's easy to see what's inside containers. Cafeteria style, so serve yourself and pay then find a seat. Microwaves available to heat up the food. Handwashing area in the dining room . Bathroom too! A lady next to me had donkatsu ,it comes with soup and rice on the side . It's $17 and it's a huge plate. You can only order it for dining in. I asked if I could take a pic and she was a lil weired out so I didnt go closer ,didn't want to make her more uncomfortable. I wouldn't want a stranger hovering over my plate either. Next time I'll order it myself and add a better photo. Anyway, the food here is fresh and delicious, service is great, very budget friendly without sacrificing quality/taste. They have seats, bathroom and Jinro for tipsiness lol. Clean restaurant. I think they deserve one of my rare 5 stars.

Yelp
A no longer hidden lunch gem in K-town! They have a coffee shop in the front the shop now, so I'll have to be back to try that soon. They offer a variety of lunch boxes for a great value - I tried both the spicy pork and the teriyaki salmon and they were both very good. You can either eat them at room temperature or you can heat them up in the back. They also sell their banchan individually - my favorite is the dried squid albeit it's a little pricey at $3 for a tiny container. Their tonkatsu is dine in only and is massive. It's definitely enough for 2 people to share (or leftovers for later). They make it fresh to order so it's hot and crispy when it comes out. The tonkatsu sauce is really good as well and pairs nicely with the potato salad. It also comes with a side of corn soup, but I didn't really like it since there was no texture (I prefer a chunky soup).

Yelp
I came across this spot from a short story on youtube and decided to stop by during lunch. I'm glad that I did! The prices are very reasonable, especially for Midtown. The place stays busy with a steady flow of people, which is always a good sign. I tried the bulgogi kimbap, which was tasty, and the soy garlic chicken was delicious (even better when reheated). They also serve beer, soju, rice on the side, and a variety of banchan for a very reasonable price. You can either eat indoors or do takeout. There's even a coffee station inside too which is a great touch.

Yelp
There's a grab and go section by the front and also microwaves in case you want to heat anything up. I came here around 5 and most of the to-go food sections were almost sold out. But I came for the donkatsu which is dine in only. The staff said it might take 20 minutes to come out which meant they make it fresh! I was given a table number and found a table in their dining area. There were tables that seat 2-4 people and also a giant communal style table in the middle. The whole set comes with a pork cutlet, a few side dishes, small salad, small bowl of white rice and cream of corn soup (I think). The cutlet was crispy and fried to perfection. Not to mention it was piping hot but I still ate a bite right away. The sauce is was paired with complemented it perfectly. I was also pleasantly surprised by the soup as I wasn't expecting it to be so sweet, savory and creamy all in one. It was some good soup. Honestly one set is probably enough to fill two people up as I was only able to get through 3/4th of the cutlet before calling it quits. They're only open till 6 but I think this is a great spot to pick up a quick meal or snack like their rice boxes, kimbap or side dishes or if you have an hour to spare, give their dine in donktasu set a try.

Yelp
Was told that this is a new trendy spot so gave it a shot post workout nearby and was pleasantly surprised. Cafeteria style location where there are various prepackaged meals and drinks in addition to the option of ordering pork cutlet (donkatsu) at the register. The folks we interacted with were friendly. We got the kimbap, tteokbokki, and donkatsu and everything was very good, particularly for the price point. The portions are a touch small for me but i'd still say for NYC, the prices are good. I enjoyed the donkatsu which was fried very well. Overall a nice casual spot by the folks at Hand Hospitality. Would recommend trying and will likely be back. Also the cafe at the front was very nice.

Yelp
Delicious casual Korean spot in midtown. Lots to choose from and perfect for those in a hurry as everything is already made. You can reheat everything but I found everything good cold. Would eat everything again minus bulgogi, chicken was very good

Yelp
I was super excited to check out this new casual Korean dining spot! It's perfect for a quick lunch. They have a lot of prepackaged food options - I got the shrimp pancake and the fried chicken bento. Both tasted delicious! There's seats in the back, it's self service and I think there might be a microwave in the back as well. I really want to come again and try the dine in katsu next time. Overall: price is really good, self service, and food is delicious

Yelp
I wanted a quick and filling bite to eat before heading to my hotel and we saw this aesthetically pleasing storefront. When we walked inside, my mom and I were greeted by a kind worker who told us we were just after the lunch rush so there weren't too many options. There were enough for me! They had various options of Korean food, in portions around the store. They had kimbap, poke, bowls with various veggies (that you could add rice to!), fried rice, chicken, and so much more. Each container is labeled with when it was packed, when it has to be thrown away, and the name of the dish. They have a very cute place to eat in the back, with microwaves. And the (very nice!) man working there let me microwave my rice before I took my food to go (with a reminder not to microwave plastic!). Now to the food - the shrimp fried rice was simple yet flavorful. I can't even begin to describe the flavors but just know that for me, sometimes fried rice seems heavy yet somehow not filling. This wasn't the case. And you can't beat the price - for $6.99, it hit the spot!

Yelp
Solid grab and go. Maybe overhyped but that's the way things go. It's prepared foods that are mostly ready to eat (some assembly required for noodle soups). I think look too closely but I wouldn't be surprised if there was a microwave somewhere so you can heat up the otherwise lukewarm dishes. I had a boneless chicken lunch box with banchan, a slice of egg omelette and some rice. Chicken was a little soggy but there was a generous portion. Banchan included some plain cauliflower, a spicy daikon and some lotus root. Appreciate the veggie banchan rounding out the meal. Flavors are fine overall. I also appreciate the reasonable portions and prices. If you decide to skip the prepared boxes, there are reasonable standalone protein and carb options so you can put together a meal to your liking but you lose some of the banchan. Ambience is minimal. There's a dining area in the back. It gets crowded but the lines move quickly so props to their cashiers. A decent addition to midtown lunch rotations thanks to variety, portions and pricing.

Yelp
Quite enjoy this no frills lunch spot with a large variety of food and drink options. There's a coffee bar in the front, hot food selection in the middle and seating in the back. Reasonable prices and caring staff. Would return.

Yelp
When I heard about this affordable food place and that the head chef for Cho Dang Gol was behind the menu here, I knew I had to try this place. There are many lunch box (dosirak) options and food options here with microwaves in the back seating area to reheat food. The style of food here is similar to Woorijip where you select the packaged food that you want and then bring it to the back seating area to eat or take it out. You can get side dishes for $2, spicy rice cakes for $5, and bulgogi for $8. The flavors and textures of the food here did not disappoint. I tried the salmon lunch box which was overall good, with the broccoli a little bit salty for my taste though. They also have a dine in option called the Namsan Tonkatsu and that was yummy too. The tonkatsu was super crispy and had good flavor. As a spice lover, my favorite is the spicy rice cakes - the texture of the rice cakes, thickness of the sauce, and spice level is perfect to me! The ambiance of the dining space is also clean and spacious. The service was also quick and it didn't take long to wait for the tonkatsu to come out. I would highly recommend this place for a grab and go or a simple lunch date!

Yelp
Came around 4:30pm only 2 kinds of dishes left on the shelves. I opted for the tonkotsu (fine in only) menu. Food ready in 20 min. First impression is such a big portion, and item came with corn soup, instead of spicy noodle in the menu. Taste is okay for me, not going to come back for this. For the the price it's a solid meal. I will be back to try other menu.

Yelp
it's a new, very fast casual korean spot opened by the cho dang gol team. i highly recommend for big groups the food: i tried the ddukgalbi dosirak and it was good but not amazing, but very decent for the price point. my favorite by far was the donkatsu which you order separately (not pre made), and it is huge!!!! i dont know any place in ktown that does this kind of old korean style donkatsu so every time i crave it i will be for sure coming here the drinks: no water :( only bottled drinks the space: decent amount of seating the service: ok!

Yelp
The variety here is fantastic. In my dosirak bowl, I had a little bit of everything: egg, banchan, croquette, purple rice, meat Pattie's. It was truly a balanced meal for only $10-11. They have cheaper items like kimbap as well for around $6. There is also a back area that is very cozy to enjoy your meal amidst the bustle of koreatown.

Yelp
Amazing spot!! Everything was so reasonably priced and delicious. Loved the simple seating area in the back. Staff was so nice and couldn't be friendlier. I got some japchae, fish, bonchon (fish cakes, lotus root), tea, candy and it was around $30 for two people. Everything was so reasonably priced--bonchon were 2 each!! Definitely recommend and will go back for a yummy, quick meal.

Yelp
Last trip to NYC, I had to visit. In three days of my three days in NYC I had to go there. The quality and selection of banchan, dosiraks were so plentiful and made fresh. Fan of their sesame noodles, tteokkalbi and miso glazed salmon dosiraks, their bulgogi kimbap, twiggeum set (I should have reheated it but liked the variety). I want to go back for more. Selection is not as extensive as Woorjip but the quality is high with reasonable places. There is some limited seating in the back or you can take the food to go if you are on the run. I wish we had this place in Boston.
google avatar

Victor L.

Yelp
Great selection for a very reasonable price. Seating area in the back with two microwaves. However, seating gets filled quickly during lunch time. Also kimbap seem to sell out quicker than the others.

Jude C.

Yelp
Saw this place on social media and decided to give it a try. There was lots of options from kimbap, to bento boxes, and even sides like croquettes and blood sausage. I settled on some grilled mackerel, rice, and a "sundae", which was a pork blood sausage. After using the available microwaves to heat up my mackerel and sausage, I dug in, and it was great! The fish was tasty, especially with the provided lemon and sauce, and the sausage had a good flavor, with the only complaint being the casing used was a little chewy, but I didn't mind that much. The seating area was a good size, and had enough tables for multiple groups. The workers were nice and made sure that the seating area was properly cleaned between parties. Overall, the food was good in taste and value, I'd definitely come back again!

Yelp
Price is super affordable for manhattan price. I come here at least 1-2x a week. My fav is kimchi udon, the broth is fresh and hot.
