Good music. Everyone was nice. I didn't try the food. (Yet) Great drinks 🍸

Great music! Everyone was very nice. I didn't try the food. (Yet) definitely will be back. Good drinks 🍸 😋 😌

Claim they are part of a pub crawl event and then they reject people at the door because it's a private event and you have to pay more. Sounds pretty pompous. I went back after the reply and you know what they said? The girl cashier from Chicago and the blonde dude with the accent. Maybe this isn't the place for you! They are right. Shame because the DJs were dope. If they only followed through with what they were representing.

If you want get sexually harassed. Look no further this is the place as I was leaving this guy smack my butt and the security was standing right there and didn’t do anything do not go here

Amazing food! You get a cool place to see Detroit and feel like a VIP at the same time. Rooftop music, light shows on the building, good friends and private rooms for groups. Recommend all day.

I have yet to try the food at Exodus but the vibes are mediocre just like any other Detroit nightclub. A shortage of bar tenders who have great ignoring skills, decent music, nasty cocktails, overpriced shots, etc. Aside from all of this, I do give them props for not tacking on gratuity to every bill, having an okay liquor selection and accepting cash app at the door.

Google
Lauren and Serina provided exceptional service during my visit. They were both knowledgeable and attentive, offering personalized recommendations that truly enhanced my experience. Based on their suggestion, I tried the Pineapple Margarita with salt and the Mango Cocktail. Both drinks were enjoyable, but the Mango Cocktail was notably sweet, which may appeal to those with a preference for fruity, sugary beverages. Personally, I found the Pineapple Margarita to be the more balanced option, with its tartness and salted rim offering a refreshing contrast. Overall, the drink selection was excellent, and their recommendations were spot on, making for a memorable experience. Also you need a full length mirror in the ladies room. 🥰

Yelp
We arrived on st Patrick's day 2023 and had to wait in line to get checked in for the bar crawl wristbands. I wasn't happy about the wait because we paid for everything online so it should've been more efficient. When we finally did get in, we noticed that they weren't using the alley door so it was 1 was in and 1 way out for whatever reason. That was the cause of the slow entry. Around 1:30pm the music wasn't that great so we got drinks and left. We returned later like 6:20ish pm, they place was full. The music was fun and loud. The vibes were great. I asked a bartender what she recommend and she said casa. We ordered 3 shots and it was $60. I wasn't pleased because we can get a bottle at the store for that price. I learned to stick w/ the well liquors at this bar lol. I had a time dancing though i like that they had the rooftop open also but covered w/ a tent and heated lamps.

Yelp
Poorly run management- complete intolerance for large events. Would not recommend anyone book them for an event. Edit: the owner evidently isn't very proficient in the English language... explains a lot as well.

Yelp
Came here on a Tuesday night for the R&B night. It was $20 to get in and the entrance was in the alley (not the front). Now I went at the end of October and while it was nice out, they had to be inside due to the rain (and it is a nice setup outside). Good crowd (not huge) and good music (although t was more 60% R&B and 40% hip hop). Drinks was about $8-$17 and yeah good way to spend your Tuesday night (more of a 3.5 Star review).

Kayla V.

Yelp
Terrible staff and service. Bartenders were drunk. They lost my friend's credit card and charged other peoples drinks on his card. When we inquired about the card just to see if they cared to look for it the guy bartender just said cancel it. No apology at all. The girl who lost it ignored us while we asked her what happened to it. Later I saw both bartenders taking shots so it's clear that was the reason they lost the card and didn't really care.

Yelp
Exodus was really fun but kind of empty for a Saturday night. They have a great DJ -- which is surprisingly hard to find. The staff was friendly and free for the ladies ($5 for the boys). It was winter but the outdoor rooftop space looks great for the warmer nights and is a good spot for fresh air. I enjoyed my time here and it was reasonably priced too. The drinks were strong.

Yelp
I went here randomly after going to a strip club nearby and wanting to dance. I had a great time here even though me and my friends are probably older than the crowd there lol (I would say that the crowd was like 21-25 years old when I went). When the weather is nice, I would definitely recommend trying this place out. PS: I would of posted some pics since it looked pretty nice and the downtown views were awesome but I was too wasted to think about any of that LOL so next time ill get some
google avatar

Brittany H.

Yelp
Not the best, nor the worst bar in Detroit. It was not too pricey for a woman and male to enter (total $20), which was nice. It was pretty dead at 1 AM on a Saturday night. I saw most of the young adult crowd at Delmar, which is the new rooftop bar on Monroe so perhaps they were there instead of at Exodus. The service to get a drink was pretty slow and the bartender didn't go in order who was waiting first. The atmosphere itself is nice but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here again considering there's better bars in the area.

Yelp
Really love this place!! Great management and they care about giving their customers a great experience!! Best rooftop in Greektown. Go there and i guarantee you'll have a great time!! They beat they're competition by providing a great experience for their customers. Thank you Exodus and the team for making this great for everyone!!!

Yelp
Four simple rules: 1. Drink before 2. Dress to impress 3. Don't piss off the staff 4. Don't go when it rains 1. Unless you "got that money" I'd highly recommend pregaming. Drinks are expensive, exclusive seating for bottle service, and covers for guys. Ladies your cover is free before 11 depending on the mood of the staff. 2. Men, pay attention. You need to dress like your momma taught you....or should have taught you. From shoes to the hat on your head (which you sometimes can't wear), if the bouncer doesn't like it, you don't go in! (Unless you can sweet talk him, we got away with a few things). No holes in your jeans, no tennis shoes or beat up footwear or Walmart tees. No decent shirt or classy shoes, no service! 3. $5 Coat check staff and security don't mess around. Last time we came we tried to find a safe location to look for and contact our lost friend, got called a bitch by one of them and they threw out coats at us after. Security will stomp right through your group acting like they're Dwayne the Rock Johnson.... 4. Check the forecast because the main attraction for this place is the outdoor bar. A fun place to go and experience Detroit under the stars, winter isn't its best season.
google avatar

Jillian B.

Yelp
We paid for "bottle service" (644$) for two tables, and we got served one bottle of champagne (which was a 30$ bottle) for 10 girls. They also charged us 20$ each at the door, cash only with no warning. This place absolutely sucks. My friend got burned by their heater.
google avatar

Patrick V.

Yelp
Place is alright. When you think rooftop bar, you think a nice view of the city. You do not really get that here. It is mostly a nice outdoor space. We went when it just opened for the day so the place was pretty empty. The seating is all benches on the outside parameter of the place. Makes sense for a dance area I guess. The staff were nice and got us our drinks. I would come here to hang out. But reading some people review, I would probably get out of here before it got packed and crazy. The place was not anything special especially with all the other cool spots you can go to downtown.

Ashley B.

Yelp
False advertising, terrible management and very unprofessional. I've been to this location numerous amount of times where the flyer promotions does not match what the staff says. I went to get in free before 11 as the flyer stated, the bouncer tells me it's $20 at 10:40, i pull up the promoter's Instagram to show them and surprisingly he deleted the post. But my friend had the screenshot, the staff still refused to honor the post and gave us terrible attitude and refused. All this was because of a special guest (Latto), that never actually came to this event. Would not be returning here again, wouldn't recommend given this place your money.
google avatar

Tanmay P.

Yelp
This place is a joke. Drinks are overpriced, venue is not that special. I would not book this place for your next event. Bartenders were so rude, no respect given to this establishment.

Madison Y.

Yelp
I was in greektown last night, and my friend suggested we stop by exodos. We went around 11:30. It was a little slow, but we figured because who likes to actually go out in the winter. The drinks were reasonably priced, and the bartenders were great. The Dj was amazing, loved him. This place is definitely more fun in the summer, but still not bad for the winter!
google avatar

Malisa J.

Yelp
Partied here a couple of times this summer and love the atmosphere. If you like rooftop clubs, this is for you. Cool setup, half of the place is outside with private seating in various areas and also by the DJ area. There is an area that is inside. There is a bar outside and inside. Great atmosphere for the summer. Great music. couple of downfalls is: A) It's small and can be a tight squeeze B) Drink prices are high.

Phil K.

Yelp
Fun Bar ! Walkable from all of Greek Town , controlled chaos for sure ! Nice roof top outside area
google avatar

Vanessa M.

Yelp
Waited in the line for 20 minutes. The actual staff has literally pulled people into the front. People had cigarettes and open liquor outside. It's extremely dirty. There was a paying to skip line but that was only selective bouncers who accepted. The music was decent. The drinks were expensive and weak. There's nothing special about this place. I'll pass.
google avatar

Darrell K.

Yelp
I went here for my Sister in Laws birthday. She wanted to come here from out of state to see the revitalized downtown. I had herd about the rooftop club and thought I would check it out. You go up the stairs and are greeted by the host at the door. The cost was 20 per person. He ended up allowing the women in free. It is pretty crowded. As we walked through to the back we were stopped and told that the rear area is $20 additional for VIP. If you are a clubber it is a lively place. It was mostly the younger crowd so some of my family felt a little out of place. There is also a few bars where you can grab a drink. Overall it is a great spot for those who like the night life and a youthful crowd.
google avatar

Tracee R.

Yelp
OK..so we're walking by after a cocktail next door at The Greek (2 thumbs up) and BOOM "live jazz" on a chalkboard on the sidewalk. Hells to the yeah ...so we walk (steep) stairs & partake in herb fries and a side salad. WOW!!!! Really!??!? How is a side salad so devine???? Ohhhh because balsamic is like wine & the one here is very fine (with fresh grated parmesan)The ambience, the food and the drinks as well as the service, thank you, Brandon, ALL so perfect for a 28 hour Detroit experience. THANK YOU, EXODUS & Thank You to the very nice goddess with a jeweled face greeting us and welcoming us to the best place yet in Detroit, Michigan. Just when we thought "what is going to be going on on a Tuesday!!" HERE WE ARE!! Life is good

Brendan E.

Yelp
Worst bar I've ever been here to. I would not recommend coming here. Whether you're with friends or not, this bar will fuck you with prices and drinks. It's not worth it. Trust me. Fuck exodus till it's backwards
google avatar

Misha T.

Yelp
We may or may not have been asked to leave this bar, but to the extent that it may have happened, it was deserved. Anyways, it's the sort of joint you go to for sloppy dancing, and while that's not totally my scene, I appreciate that a lot of folks are into it.

Anthony G.

Yelp
If you want to pay $11 per shot, consume low level alcohol pawned off as top shelf stuff, and enjoy getting your money taken this is your spot!
google avatar

Megan S.

Yelp
This may be the worst bar I have ever been to. Beyond capacity for sure and apparently their employees are allowed to shove (almost push down) their guests. I was out for my friends 30th birthday and a girl who later we found out was an employee, completely shoved my friend for NO reason. We were minding our own business and all of a sudden this girl shoves, full force, my friend who then fell into me. Oh and 5minutes after this, a bouncer shoved a Marine who was doing nothing but minding his own business and dancing. I will NEVER go back and I would not allow any of my friends to give that establishment a dime.
google avatar

Sabrina S.

Yelp
Not a terrible place, but my main issues were: The womens bathroom... Really? One to choose from AND with only two stalls. I find this absolutely terrible! It's a bar, people WILL need to pee, and potentially even get sick or whatever else... The line up was about 10 girls long and what if someone was desperate? Very poorly planned on their part... Second, the music was kinda crummy (well for my tastes) all overly remixed pop music (like theres than random drop thrown in where you don't know how to dance to it, other than a fist pump...). It would be nice to have a mix of house music and hip hop. Oh there were also tons of guido guys there, I felt like I was on Jersey Shore. Gross.
google avatar

Adrianna R.

Yelp
My brothers and friends who PAID $$$ for a table tried to break up a fight here, and instead got BEATEN by the bouncers for doing absolutely NOTHING. They were thrown down the stairs and sent to the hospital where they had to get several stitches in their faces. Not only were they beaten, the owner just stood in the corner and watched as their clothes were ripped and bloodied. When my brother realized his wallet was missing since they ripped his clothing the bouncers refused to allow any of us to go back inside to get it. I called several times the next day to retrieve it and when they finally answered several days later they said it was never turned in. Give me a break. This place is a joke and I will NEVER step foot in here again. I hope it gets shut down.

Justin S.

Yelp
I don't come to write reviews often but this place may just be the worst bar in the city and that's tough to do. Terrible staff and security be careful there.
google avatar

Food G.

Yelp
Would give it 0 stars if I could. Been going to bars and clubs of this sort my whole life. Amateur hour at its best is what I experienced.... fix your line.... why is the bottle service line against the wall while the main line blocks any way to even find it or get to it without getting dirty looks like you are trying to cut line? Very unprofessional staff - felt like this was their first rodeo running this type of business. Maybe the owner/manager whoever that was - should stay sober and not dance on top of the DJ booth and actually run his business to make money. One of the door men asked us for currency in exchange to get in when we had bottle service, wonder if he thinks this is miami or vegas...Were at a shit bar in detroit ....anyhow...so we arrived at 10:45 did not get in until 12:00 with bottle service. Let me explain how this business is supposed to work - time drinking = more bottles = more $$$ a group spends, learn how to get your guests who have reservations inside in a timely manner.... I guess they dont understand that concept when providing for their guests. I understand it gets busy and hectic and everyone is pulling at you to get in- but either get more staff or make stern rules which apply to everyone. Wont be coming back here.... for anyone that does go... good luck.
google avatar

Johnny D.

Yelp
Amazing how quickly you can exit this place. The bouncers are all very professional and clearly the best in the industry at their jobs. Super happy about their shoe policy as it filters out the bros and meatheads.
google avatar

Goeff L.

Yelp
Don't like this place, music choice very poor (each time I've gone there) .... Even in rap they play really poor rap music, I love rap music but their choice of rap is also veeeerrrrry poor. Lots of stags/jocks just standing and gawking around.... Service is very poor, overly crowded, expensive drinks
google avatar

Angela T.

Yelp
Top Notch- 1)Great music on Friday and Saturday's. 2)Their staff has always treated me with the up-most respect. 3)Bartender's are awesome and can come up with some fantastic shot concoctions. Saturday evenings are always hopping so get their early. Definitely a must when you visit Greektown!
google avatar

Elizabeth P.

Yelp
Will not be returning. Upon waiting for our group to gather close to the exit so we could leave I had no choice but to stand in what was *APPARENTLY* a very bad and problematic spot between the host station and the coat check, as there is only about a square foot around the top of steep stairs to wait at otherwise near the exit. Who I am assuming was a manager shot me a nasty look and asked me to move in a very bitchy tone at which time I apologized and moved. She then proceeded to ask me why I "found the need to act like an ass". Bouncers also tried to turn away a friend on his birthday for his shoes. Bye. Clear from these reviews these people don't respect customers. Won't be returning.
google avatar

Amanda E.

Yelp
If you love the other clubs in Greektown, don't come here. Keep your pressed collar on the other side of the street. However, if you want lit music, decently priced drinks, and a fun place to dance, come here! Dj Mixx played while we were there and it was a good mix of top 40 hip hop / r&b, Future, Beyonce, Big Sean, some throwbacks, and some new tracks off Life of Pablo so I was v impressed. $5 cover for ladies on a Friday, it was before midnight, not sure if that was a factor in the price
google avatar

Taylor L.

Yelp
Horrible experience. Before even getting into Exodos I could sense it would be a terrible time. Unnecessarily rude bouncers to start with. I was in a party of 10+ people, some of the party was told that we would get a discount on cover, others were not. I'm a female and had to pay 20$ to get in a club, because it was 11:55 and full cover started at midnight. I tried to refute that it was in fact not midnight yet, but the bouncer said "that's too bad." Also if you plan to visit this bar, don't consider wearing any kind of sneaker. A male friend of mine was dressed in a button up and jeans, but was not allowed entry because he was wearing converse shoes. A tedious dress code violation in my opinion. So we all finally get in, and for 20$ cover I'm expecting a wonderful experience filled with drinking, dancing, and room to make poor life decisions. Unfortunately the night was full of incredibly rude bouncers telling us where we can and cannot stand, and you can't even enter the rooftop dance portion of the club unless you're VIP. So for 20$ I got to stand shoulder to shoulder fighting to get an over-priced drink at an extremely crowded bar that was playing strictly hip-hop (as opposed to top 40s, pop, house, etc) music. I wouldn't go back to this bar even it were giving out free drinks all night. The rude bouncers and tedious rules made this somewhere I would never recommend.
google avatar

Monique T.

Yelp
Friday Nights are the night to go! Loved the venue and the DJ! The crowd was mixed and the bar had great service.
google avatar

Sarah W.

Yelp
I don't think I'll ever come back here again. Let me list the reasons why. We got bottle service to celebrate a friend's birthday. The table was tiny and they put us right next to the entrance and the bar, so as the night went on and people got more intoxicated, (dancing as they waited to order more drinks) our table was bumped and our drinks were spilled multiple times. We had to ask for refills on water and mixers throughout the night rather than the waitress being attentive. They wouldn't allow us to pull up chairs to the table and the cushioned booth at one side was so shallow it was uncomfortable to sit. But you're at a dance club...so you're not sitting a ton, right? Let's chat about the 'dancing' situation. The dance floor has the entrance/exit and bar at its corner and therefore you can really only dance for about ten seconds without someone pushing past you to get to one of these things. The music was so-so. Songs only lasted about 20 seconds before they moved onto the next, so you couldn't even get into a good groove. My biggest complaint is the bathroom. The women's bathroom is TINY and only has two stalls, so each time you needed to use it, you waited 15-20 minutes. Imagine how much longer it takes to get through that line when someone is getting sick in one stall (which happened, naturally). Overall, a horrible experience.
google avatar

Ellie E.

Yelp
Went on a Friday night and the bouncer let us up for free, we were then chased down by the door people telling us we needed to pay the $5 cover. Kind of an awkward situation and put a sour taste in my mouth from the start but eventually they apologized and we didn't have to pay. Besides the annoying encounter at the beginning the drinks were priced okay, I payed $15 for a vodka/Sprite, a bud light and a corona. The music was perfect if you like hip hop and top 40. The DJ knew his audience and kept us dancing all night. Glad to have finally found a place in Greektown I like because delux and level 2 are not my scene.
google avatar

Nib K.

Yelp
Shitty club where the bouncers/door guy will legitimately rob you!! I found out I was charged twice the cover of what it was supposed to be. When I confronted the door guy, he had nothing to say and got his bouncer guard dog on me. The atmosphere was Jersey Shore meets more Jersey Shore. I literally recommend any other shit hole in Detroit but this place.
google avatar

Kathryn G.

Yelp
We came here impromptu the other night for a few drinks. I thought it was neat they served their drinks in little mason jars. That is all I thought was neat about this place though. The bathrooms were below par on cleanliness. It literally smelled like a sewer. You would be better off waiting until you went somewhere else that actually cared about keeping their bathrooms clean. We had arrived here when not many people were out at the bars yet so we sat at one of the few high top tables available. A little later one of the bus boys asked us to give up our table for a larger group that had arrived. This was absolutely ridiculous that they had the nerve to tell us to leave our table. I have never been asked to leave my table anywhere before. It is obvious this place is run by very unprofessional management. I most likely will never come back here and will make sure to let others know how I feel about this place.
google avatar

Varun T.

Yelp
In all honesty it is a good place. But if you prefer biased treatment then this is the place for you. Unless you know the people who work here you won't get treated well. So make friends or stay away.
google avatar

Melisa L.

Yelp
Honestly. The worst vip experience I've ever had. We were under pipes that kept dripping on us and not one server came to check up on us. I'm sad I spent so much money at this place.
google avatar

Nikki C.

Yelp
You enter through through the alley. The address is 529 Monroe, but once you find it, you only see a door that has writing on it directing you down the street, around the corner and through the alley to enter. I felt like a whore about to do some alley trolling for a good time. The alley reeked of spoiled waste drippings. You get past the dumpsters and there's a liquor advertisement ad, as well as several dudes waiting to check your ID, flash a lil light in your purse (if you're a dude, they'll pat you down, I assume)... It's a $10 cover, but this particular night, we were registered for free entry via online fb ad. Almost there! You climb up a flight of stairs and enter the rooftop lounge. There wooden floors with enough spaces between the slats to hold onto your heel, if you're not carefully planning your steps. The decor is draped white fabric with an airy feel. Nice. The view is only of the sky... you don't really have a view of the street or buildings across the way. The music was nice. We got there at a great time because once we got there, it seemed people came in by the droves afterwards. Bottle service includes a fireworks display. Well, not really... but there are sparklers attached to the bottles being delivered to VIP sections in grandiose manner. Cue the rolling of eyes.
google avatar

Denise J.

Yelp
Omg, the worst bar I have ever had the displeasure of attending. My boyfriend and I were hanging out on the weekend. We decided to stop in one night just , to check it out. Upon entering you have to walk up a long flight of stairs. We were not greeted when we got to the lounge area so we just sort of seated ourselves. There was no friendly hello's . The bartender was not friendly , very rude. We had to call for attention, if we hadn't we would probably been ignored the whole night. It appeared he did not want us there. it was not crowded and I could see why. Everyone that worked there were rude and treated you like you were invisible. Horrible experience, we finished our drink and ranned out of there. Please stay away this place SUCKS!!!!!!
google avatar

Francesca G.

Yelp
I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I've never experienced such disrespect by a staff at any establishment. Not only did we have a party of 30 which we purchased a table and 5 bottles for BEFORE arriving, but after most arrived, a family member was denied access because his shoes weren't compliant with their "dress code." When approached, the manager used vulgar language and spoke to us like animals. We were photographed against our will by the waitstaff and assaulted by the "VIP bouncer" because we expressed our concerns to speak with someone about the service. They proceeded to call the police because we wanted to dispute our bill with them since they wouldn't let a number of people in our party actually in. It was like a movie scene. I will never go back. These people treat paying customers like degenerates. Stay away if you know what's good for you.

Tianna W.

Yelp
Wish I could give this place negative stars. They are prejudice and rude! We got turned away for the type of shoes we were wearing!!! I was wearing flip flops because we were walking around Detroit going to different places and didn't want to become uncomfortable from wearing high heels or something of the like. And then when we put on fancier shoes that were more difficult to walk in we were turned away for "stumbling" The bouncers were incredibly ill mannered!!! Will not be returning and I wish I could sue for their behavior!

Yelp
ALWAYS a great time at Exodos. Don't listen to the salty trolls spewing bullshit all over social media, nobody is going to bite you. Unless you say please...

Yelp
Every city has a place like this. It was probably awesome for five minutes some years ago. Maybe it even tried to be a cool club in the midst of the really stupid club part of town. But some sort of mental illness in the ownership/management just tweaked at some point, and it was all downhill from there. Watching the door scene go down is like watching a parody of a clown show, but the clowns are bouncers. The clearly coked-out-of-their-minds door staff is openly taking bribes, randomly yelling at people, being physically intimidating for no reason, planting shit on people they don't want to let in, and generally acting like caricatures of the dumb/bad guys in some really idiotic 80s movie. But even I was surprised when they would randomly pause their gestapo searches ... to yell at at some all-male group for being all-male ... and then letting them in - unsearched and ahead of everyone else. I guess just like game recognize game, douche recognize douche. Oh yeah. Prepare to be searched, patted down, and have your crotch grabbed...to go into a bar. Once you make it inside... wall to wall dudes. Nothing says dead party like a sausage fest - gay parties excepted. Drinks: way overpriced and over watered. Service: hahaha ... you have all night to wait for the bartenders to stop chatting with their friends right?
google avatar

Yelp
I WILL BE CONTACTING CHANNEL 4 NEWS I have never had a worse experience in downtown Detroit than I have at this club, extremely poorly trained staff and overly aggressive bouncers. for a busy club they have no wristbands or handstamps to prove your admission to the club. in my 15 minutes in the club I witnessed the bouncer mace and push 2 people down the stairs for "suspicion of not paying" the owners. refused to check the cameras for proof
google avatar

Misha M.

Yelp
So terrible. To be a night club in Detroit, the music was terrible and played for only one type of people. Very disappointed for someone that bought bottles and a booth. Damn disgrace
google avatar

Stefan M.

Yelp
I'm only really reviewing the atmosphere here. I spent the night sitting outside with some friends, listening to reggae. I enjoyed the roof-like feel, they had some heating and I was quite comfortable well into the cold October night. Unfortunately, the only thing we really bought were a round of $5 Jager bombs. They worked pretty well though.
