So, I actually did not end up ordering from here, although I had every intention to. With that said, I can not speak to the quality or taste of the food. Initially, their menu caught my attention, and I was close by. I was going to place an online order, but I decided go in, which I'm glad I did.
It appears to be a small family owned spot, so I really hate that I'm leaving this review. Kids were helping, and I think that's cool, for several reasons! However, a couple things caught my attention. I had a question about a menu item and the son slid the menu across the counter to me and went to ask a parent maybe about another question I had. As he went back, a little girl came from out back, who appeared to be actually helping with food preparation, because of the flour I noticed on her hands. She came out wiping her hands on her clothes and touching things, then went back into the kitchen. I didn't hear a sink come on, but maybe somewhere one did. Now, before she went back into the kitchen area, I was reaching for the menu, and unfortunately, I saw a bug. At first, I thought it was just something random I dont know, but I took a closer look, and it was actually a baby roach on the menu. I did not want to be rude, so I waited for the boy to come back and just let him know that I changed my kind about placing an order.
The reason I gave them two stars is, because when I was looking online, before I went in, they did have several items that really peaked my interest. Also, they're halal!
[WITHOUT taking into consideration the factors mentioned above.] As far as the ambiance goes, I think if you're just going by yourself, it's fine, but probably not somewhere I'd take someone else.
As far service goes, I didn't interact with any adult, so it's kind of hard to speak on that, but the boy seemed nice.
