Where to Find the Best Halal Restaurants in Seattle | Eater Seattle

"The melodic sound of the Asr call to prayer fills the air as the aroma of lamb gyro and halal beef pepperoni pizza baking in the oven rises. Eyman’s pizza boasts the elusively chewy yet crispy crust that every pie aspires to. Eyman’s frequently prepares pizza for hordes of hungry teenagers from the nearby community center; the restaurant offers freshly baked pies to go, or you can order one to bake at home later." - Sabra Boyd

Okay, so my husband literally said this after trying Eyman's pizza for the first time: "This has to be the best halal pizza I've had in my 30 years of being Muslim" Now he refuses to eat pizza anywhere else! We got a large one (half chicken and veggies, and half meat and pepperoni), we initially intended to eat some of it and take the rest home, but to our surprise we finished all of it without even realizing it. Yes, it's that good 👍

Google
Just went to order a small pepperoni pizza from them. It is the only pizza place I go to because their pizza is always delicious. Great people. Great atmosphere. Will be back!

Google
This is it. If you're around Othello and you're looking for some pizza, Eyman's is the best. The food has soul and the chefs know what they're doing. They do take and bake, they sell by the slice, and wait times for a baked pie is always reasonable. Here's a pro-tip for ya, get the "AKH IN THE BLOCK."

Waa Keel

Google
It's the best pizza I've ever had. Most importantly, they serve 100% HALAL pizza. If you ever visit SEATTLE(WA), you must try their pizza. This is a family own business, and they are very friendly. I hope the best for them and may allah help them to expand their business all over the world.

Google
So testy and yummy. Halal chicken pizza with green papers. Recommend everyone to try. I will go again

Google

Google
Food is halal and halal is rare to find. Service is good, they are quick and efficient. Atmosphere is amazing you get to watch TV while you wait for your food.

Google
Amazing Halal Pepperoni pizza. Called in advance as it takes time. Everything was amazing. Thank you for the great experience as well.

Yelp
This place came to as a surprise as I was searching for supreme wings place. I ordered vegetarian pizza and did not had any great expectations. The pizza was ready in 15 minutes and was delicious. I could taste the fresh dough and perfectly baked pizza. Small place with surprising flavorful pizza. Will go back again.

Yelp
So, I actually did not end up ordering from here, although I had every intention to. With that said, I can not speak to the quality or taste of the food. Initially, their menu caught my attention, and I was close by. I was going to place an online order, but I decided go in, which I'm glad I did. It appears to be a small family owned spot, so I really hate that I'm leaving this review. Kids were helping, and I think that's cool, for several reasons! However, a couple things caught my attention. I had a question about a menu item and the son slid the menu across the counter to me and went to ask a parent maybe about another question I had. As he went back, a little girl came from out back, who appeared to be actually helping with food preparation, because of the flour I noticed on her hands. She came out wiping her hands on her clothes and touching things, then went back into the kitchen. I didn't hear a sink come on, but maybe somewhere one did. Now, before she went back into the kitchen area, I was reaching for the menu, and unfortunately, I saw a bug. At first, I thought it was just something random I dont know, but I took a closer look, and it was actually a baby roach on the menu. I did not want to be rude, so I waited for the boy to come back and just let him know that I changed my kind about placing an order. The reason I gave them two stars is, because when I was looking online, before I went in, they did have several items that really peaked my interest. Also, they're halal! [WITHOUT taking into consideration the factors mentioned above.] As far as the ambiance goes, I think if you're just going by yourself, it's fine, but probably not somewhere I'd take someone else. As far service goes, I didn't interact with any adult, so it's kind of hard to speak on that, but the boy seemed nice.

Hassan O.

Yelp
I always get my halal pizza from here. My kids love it a little too much lol! There are a variety of options and the staff is professional.

Alwx B.

Yelp
Personally I love the halal pepperoni and gyro with hot honey drizzled over it. Soooo delicious. Good food abd great people running the business. Thank you Eyman's

Yelp
FALSE ADVERTISING!!! Pictures shown isn't what you get for a large pepperoni pizza !!! If you look at pictures shown and see what I got you would be pissed too !! Supported this small business for years and This is the thanks we get ! Never again !!

Amna A.

Yelp
Hands down!!!! One of the best halal pizza's I've had. We ordered SMOKED CHICKEN PIZZA and it's delicious. I will definitely come back. Highly recommended

Nadia K.

Yelp
The pizza was absolutely amazing! We ordered the pepperoni, Adam Supreme, and the chicken, and they were all phenomenal! Such a nice crust and hefty portions of toppings. The owners were also very friendly and kind. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I didnt feel like cooking and ordered us a pepperoni pizza at the childs urging. It arrived hot and fresh, in a timely manner. Ingredients seemed to be of a really good quality, and it reheated very well. It's a good, solid pizza. Something that you wouldn't think a city as big as Seattle would struggle with, but very much does. My best bet for good pizza before this place was Dominoes. Pretty sure I can switch that baseline now to here.
google avatar

Abdulgani M.

Yelp
Love. Love. Love. When Eymans pizza used to have there old shop in Hillman city I would always get a Ahmed Special because who doesn't love pineapples? The reopening was something big for 2019 and the community. Halal pizza is back in South Seattle and it is here to stay!
google avatar

Maryam K.

Yelp
Adding this as a go-to spot for us. The beef pepperoni pizza never disappoints and is *always* fresh through delivery. My only grievance if any is that I like my pizza a little saucier. But, as a *crust* person - the crust here is my favorite!!
google avatar

Marii B.

Yelp
This place is my favorite pizza spot in Seattle hands down! The BBQ chicken pizza is so flavorful and delicious , it hits the spot every time! I love this place bc they only use the freshest high quality ingredients! Bonus: they only use halal meat! An added bonus is the family who own it are always so sweet and kind. If you're craving pizza, this is the place to go!
google avatar

Jared S.

Yelp
Best crust I've had this side of the Midwest. Sauce is flavorful but light. Cheese is a good mix and applied with a desired thickness. Their sausage beef is quality, spread like a topping not like you are use to. Wish they offered artichoke hearts, cream cheese, or other semi-funky vegetarian options as toppings. Lack of pork made it less greasy, but still very hearty! Look forward to seeing this place blow up into an institution.

Samia K.

Yelp
We were excited to find a halal pizza option nearby, and it did not disappoint! With the variety of toppings, I feel like we got a lot of value with the Veggie Lover. The quality is honestly the same, if not better, than other mainstream chains. I also appreciate their fast service - we arrived about 10-15 minutes before the predicted ready time from Yelp, and the pizza was already done. Because of Covid-19, we could not linger long, but the exchange with the employee was warm and friendly. Looking forward to returning and eventually dining in with our family once quarantine is lifted. Chairs were of course stacked away while we were picking up our food, but the interior also seems like an inviting place to sit and eat in once things settle down. Happy to support a local halal business!

Yelp
Ordered a half n half pizza.. delicious!!! So good! The crust was a perfect crispiness and chewiness!!

Jim C.

Yelp
I have been using yelp for years but this is my first review. This was the 2nd worst pizza of my life and im in my mid 50s...ive eaten a lot of pizza. It was cold, the cheese wasn't even melted all the way(you could still see the strands of cheese) and crust had an epic cardboard consistency. I will not be ordering from here again. Please learn from my experience.

Destiny L.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing I traveled 5 hours looking forward to halal food/pizza it was absolutely delicious Alhamdulillah

Tom N.

Yelp
The previous two restaurants didn't survive too long due to its poor location, but I really hope this pizza place will stay forever. The toppings are very generous, vegetables fresh quality, the breading is perfect and the price reasonable. The breading is soft in the inside and the crust is slightly crunchy on the outside. The tomato sauce isn't sour, just a nice perfect ratio with the cheese. Make sure you called ahead of time if you plan to have it to go. The one man army that worked tonight gave a perfect estimate of 30-45 minutes and don't forget to get a stamp card. I have a few suggestions, please keep it up with the food quality, charge more if you have to! For kids that are getting out of school, maybe have an option to sell individual slices? The previous restaurant used to have a hang out spot for the kids and I thought that was sweet. Plenty of parking, they take cards and I hope they will take dominos out of business here in Othello!
google avatar

Emilah G.

Yelp
You know dominos is a short walk from here, but I will literally choose Eyman's pizza over dominos! At first I was a little sketch about ordering pizza here because I'm not a huge fan of tomato sauce in pizza and it was the only sauce they use, but it was the perfect amount of sauce to cheese & meat ratio. The wait took a tiny bit longer but I wasn't in a rush at all. I will most definitely come here again & recommend it to anyone who's around the soufend, support your locals!!
google avatar

Josh J.

Yelp
Very disappointed in the pizza. Drove from West Seattle to try this pizza and it was not worth the drive. First, very dry and bland with no sauce at all. Ask for no pineapple on the all veggie pizza for my wife but the left it on and she can't eat pineapple. It took 50 mins for 2 large and 1 small pizza. There is still most of the pizza left because none of the 6 people here want to eat any more. It was nothing like any of the pics they have up there. $45 for cardboard textured and tasting pizza

Razzia A.

Yelp
The best halal pizza. The sauce and the dough is so flavorful. I'm very thankful for this business
google avatar

Audryhanna A.

Yelp
I damn near filled my pizza punch card within two days after seeing Eymans re-open on MLK. I thought they were shut down but TYJ they're not lol My recommendation is a large pepperoni with extra pepperoni, but I'd eat anything from here, can't go wrong. Another great thing is the wait time, 15 minutes is really nothing compared to trying to order from other pizza places. Quality speaks for itself. This place is firrreeee. Don't get pizza from anywhere else, support local business and get your grub on at Eymanssss!!!!!!
google avatar

Khadija K.

Yelp
I tried Eyman's pizza today, I ordered Adam supreme, the pizza had so much meat and the flavors were out of this world. We ordered a small chicken pizza with pineapple for the kids, the kids loved every single bite, they're excited to come back for more! I love how beautiful the inside of the restaurant is, I'll include pictures in my post. Customer service was excellent, owner came chatted with us for a bit. I would definitely recommend this place.

Justice T.

Yelp
Me and my friends got both the Meat Lovers and Veggie Lovers pizzas, and both were amazing! Usually after eating pizza I would normally get tired and feeling sluggish, but after eating Eymans I still felt energized and most definitely satisfied. The Pizza is forsure homemade with clean ingredients

Ruby K.

Yelp
Best pizza in SE Seattle! The crust is perfect every time we order and we eat A LOT of pizza. Lovely humans as well.

saynab M.

Yelp
Excellent customer service and even better pizza. The guy that works there with the hat is a very nice guy, his etiquettes were so good that I just had to go back for seconds haha. I 100% would recommend this place to my family and friends.

Izzy M.

Yelp
They don't answer phone calls :/ I've been calling for a long minute and they hadn't picked up at all. Add that with their irregular business hours, it makes ordering from them a hassle. It's unfortunate since their pizzas are really good. Wish they would answer their phone calls lol
google avatar

Greyson S.

Yelp
I am not even done eating this Meat Lovers Pizza but had to rush over to leave a review. This is the best pizza I've had in Seattle and I've been here for almost a decade. It's always a risk for me when I trust in my digestive pills and try something gluten-y for a meal, but this was absolutely worth it. Whoever is making these pies knows their business. I'm not normally a crust eater (for obvious reasons), but this had me eating through the whole slice, crusts included, with no dip-- which I do have on hand so it's not like it was out of the question! This pizza crust was thin but substantial enough to keep its shape and not drop its contents all over your lap, soft but not doughy, and light but filling. And the topping options?? Beef pepperoni? Spiced chicken? Gyro meat? And endless more combos that I didnt get to try today? I'll be back over and over again. Not to mention its in my favorite neighborhood! 5 stars, will absolutely eat again.
google avatar

Genet M.

Yelp
What a gem! The pizza is amazing and the service is great. I ordered a small veggie + 2 meats (gyro + beef pepperoni). It was delicioussss! I've never had a pepperoni alternative but this did not disappoint. 10/10 recommend!

Tol O.

Yelp
Pizza is so fresh and crispy! I love this place. It is way better than Dominos, Pizza Hut combined

Souheil M.

Yelp
I've been looking for a good pizza in Seattle since I arrived 2 months ago. This pizza joint hits the spot and it is better than any overpriced pizza restaurant in downtown Seattle (I once paid $50 for a medium pizza there). The bread at Eyman's is perfect, crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and the tomato sauce has excellent flavor. I ordered mine with pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers, and olives. I ate in the restaurant, the ambiance was good and food presentation was better. Overall a good atmosphere. They had a bar facing outside and dining tables. It's worth the drive. You can thank me later!!
google avatar

Kye S.

Yelp
Great pizza! The veggie pizza was different it had all the veggies with jalapeno and pineapple. Good crust
google avatar

Monica O.

Yelp
Very affordable and very kind people working. Personal pepperoni tasted great. Not too busy and not overcrowded.
google avatar

Itrat T.

Yelp
Biggest reason for me to go here is that they serve Halal Pepperoni Pizza!!!! Yayyyyy!!! And the pizza tastes reealllllyyyy gooodddd !!! So it just makes sense to go here !! It is not a great sit there and eat place although... I drive 1 hour away to take out their pizza!!!!! The sauce on their pizza is amazing and when I get all the veggies on it, it is really delicious too !! I also like their chicken on the pizza !! Price isn't as competitive as what you can get at dominos but the authentic taste of the pizza crust and the sauce are worth it ! Whenever I get it , I get 4 boxes so I have left over for the next day and then on the one hour ride back home me and my family end up finishing one box on the way over !
google avatar

Muhammad H.

Yelp
I'm going to be honest and say this is not the best pizza I've had in my life, I've been to NYC and have had the legendary pizza over there. But in terms of halal pizza it doesn't get any better than this place. The crust that they use reminds me of pizza hut crust mixed with dominos. I can't wait to try this place out again! 4.5/5 stars for this place. Very kind, helpful and friendly staff too :).
google avatar

Omar R.

Yelp
This place is fantastic. The fact that it looks like a hole in the wall might cause some to disregard it, but it's truly a hidden gem. When I was there, it was run by two very nice Vietnamese brothers - they let me make wudu and pray in the back. The meat lovers pizza was delicious. If you're a halal eater in the market for pizza, this place is a no-brainer. Even if you don't care about halal, how many places serve gyro on their pizza? The wifi is just an added bonus. If you want pizza and are nearby, go to Eyman's!
google avatar

Jesse W.

Yelp
Tasty pizza, great staff, local business. It's great to have Eyman's in Hillman City. This is our go to for an easy, hot, delicious, yet affordable dinner. No, it's not Tuta Bella style or ambience, but not their price either. [That's not a knock on Tuta Bella, just sayin' that Eyman's is prety affordable.] My only warning is that the veggie pizza comes with jalapenos and roasted garlic. Fantastic for me, but if you don't like spice or garlic, ask them to put those aside and load up Jesse's pizza next time!
google avatar

Condee W.

Yelp
This place is within walking distance of my house in Hillman City, so I was surprised when we walked there the other night to learn that it has been there for over a year! I have driven by dozens of times and didn't notice it until recently (they just got some new signs). My husband I and walked there on a whim after deciding we didn't want to cook, and we weren't sure what to expect from a "Halal" Pizza Place. When I walked in, I was surprised to see the back half of the restaurant completely blocked off by wooden screens. There are several tables in the front, but I got the sense right away that they mostly prepare take-out. It doesn't have a great atmosphere for dining in. The menu is very simple - just the basic, classic pizza types. It's also incredibly inexpensive - only $13.00 for a five-topping Large. And the night we were there, he had a "buy three get the fourth one free" special. The person who took our order was very nice (probably the owner). We ordered a large veggie pizza with black olives, onions, green peppers, mushrooms, and tomatoes. He told us he was out of their regular crust but he had thin crust left (it was amazing!) Before he gave it to us, he asked if we wanted to try his special herbs. I said yes. My husband and I both thoroughly enjoyed every bite of this pizza. The sauce is fantastic, and the herbs sprinkled on top added a tantalizing flavor. The crust is light and flavorful, and the toppings were fresh. I am so excited to have this awesome pizza place so close to our house. It's not in a great location, and there aren't a lot of places to park, but if you're looking for a delicous pizza to go, you should try this place! He really, really needs the business, and I don't think you'll be sorry. Oh yeah - and they deliver!
google avatar

Cj B.

Yelp
It's good, cheesy, tasty, fresh pizza. Not gourmet. Not bland. But really good. Nice service, great prices. I highly recommend.
google avatar

Phoebe K.

Yelp
Damn, that really hit the spot. Fresh ingredients, hot, generously sized, good crust, delivered to our Columbia City house. A real pizza, nothing fancy, just good. And with 1999 prices. It's about time someone in Seattle did something good with the name "Eyman."
google avatar

Dashel S.

Yelp
We just moved in down the street and decided to try Eyeman's Pizza last night. Being a lefty political nerd, I was initially thrown off by the name, but nevertheless, we gave it a shot. We got a "large" cheese pizza. The good news is that it was ready in no time at all, it looked/tasted about like a pizza should, it was totally affordable at about ten bucks, and the service was polite and prompt. The bad news is that a "large" pizza is about the size of the medium at most other places, the dough was a little spongy for my taste, and it was somewhat lacking in flavor. I'll be going back, because I want to support the local businesses, but I'd like to see them step up their game a little bit. UPDATE 4/17/2012: Just tried it again and upgraded my rating to 4 stars. The pizza is better now.
google avatar

Ali N.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the pizza here and would recommend people try it. The only thing I didn't like is that the coffee machine is just for show and the tea box is also just for show.
google avatar

Taylor L.

Yelp
Good pies at affordable prices. The Gyro Pizza is the bomb!!! Conveniently located right next to Union Bar. Also do delivery throughout the hood. Super nice guys too
google avatar

sarah a.

Yelp
Eymans is the BEST Gourmet Pizza In Town! Super Generous - & very FRESH ingredients Meatiest Meat Pizza and Cheesiest Cheese Pizza Hands Down!!! and SUper Affordable Price... THIS is the Spot! I got a LARGE Gourmet Pizza for $10.00!!!
google avatar

reese h.

Yelp
I'm not sure about sara a's statement that Eyman's Pizza is the "BEST Gourmet Pizza In Town!" And the overuse of exclamation points isn't really helping..... Maybe if you have never visited to Flying Squirrel, or Tutta Bella...maybe you could say that...but I really don't think so. Eyman's Pizza is good if: you are in a pinch, live in Hillman City, and need Halal Zabiha ingredients on your pizza. I am two out of three in this list. I am more along the thoughts of Dashel S.; Eyman's is quick, affordable, nice people, not mind blowing by any means, just basic & unsophisticated pizza. It would be good for a kids pizza party, or for your friends who like their pizza simple and familiar. I hope they continue to stick around for the people in the hood who like/need Halal (and it is a need around these parts) ingredients on their pizza...but to be honest, it won't be a go-to point for me. btw: This seems to be a family business because the cutest little kids were running around the joint...and the little boy who handed me my pizza...what a cute little fella.
google avatar

shalimar g.

Yelp
LOVE this place. Great pizza. Affordable (I'm looking at you Tuta Bella!) and the guys that work there are incredibly nice. I've never eaten there (we're a take out kind of family) but sometimes I'll bring my slices next door to Union Bar.
google avatar

Stefanie P.

Yelp
Delicious veggie lover's pizza! Even has pineapple on it. Excellent crust for west coast pizza! They have great prices too!
google avatar

Steve I.

Yelp
In the Columbia City area Eyman's is as good as it gets. We've been in the neighborhood since the only pizza place in the South end was Dominoes (as if that was pizza). Now there are a number of places but they have all let us down in various ways (quality, price, service). Eyman's has been the most consistent and is now the only pizza we order. We get two large pizzas for about the same price as one Padrino's (which we've tossed in the trash before). Honest pizza (not for the wood oven burned art cracker crowd), good crust, consistent quality, great price, and hey, it's all Halal. I do wish they had delivery but it's always hotter if you pick it up yourself anyway.
google avatar

Niko O.

Yelp
We're originally East Coasters, well versed in NYC and New Haven pies, and have mostly been disappointed with our experiences here in Seattle. Tonight we were pleasantly surprised with our Eyman's takeout pizzas. They were unpretentious and classic. The crust was a little on the doughy side but tasted good. We got a large pepperoni (made with halal beef) and a large gyro w/herb seasonings and black olives. I have to say my gyro pizza was delicious. Crisped up in the oven for a few minutes, these pies brought back the simple satisfaction of our East Coast pizzas - minus the dripping grease. And the total? About $25. No foofy, vegan, odd combinations with equally odd high prices. Two young men watching TV immediately leapt into action as soon as we walked in, ready to serve. We called in our order about 20 minutes beforehand and the pizzas were ready and waiting. One of the men rung us up and courteously thanked us for coming in. This is a cute little place with a few tables for eat-in dining. The menu is limited, but they also offer gyro sandwiches and other blackboard specials in addition to pizza. No salads. They don't have a website but I found their menu here: http://www.allmenus.com/wa/seattle/312213-eymans-pizza/menu/ Definitely check them out if you're a local and want a very good, no-nonsense pizza at a normal price.
google avatar

Nori M.

Yelp
I love Eyman's pizza! I can tell you honestly that they have the best HALAL pizza in Seattle. My favorite toppings are chicken and jalapenos. If you're feeling adventurous, you should try the gyros pizza. The price is pretty reasonable and the staff always friendly. If you're Muslim, this is the place to go when you're craving some delicious pepperoni pizza.

Garth W.

Yelp
This is a great little family run joint. The owners are so earnest and hardworking, you just hope they succeed. The pizza is quite good. You won't get anything fancy (not gourmet by any stretch), but you get good pizza at a reasonable price. It's not Tutta Bella (more filling / similar price), and it certainly isn't anything like Flying Squirrel (way cheaper, but nowhere as good). I'd describe it as a perfect big chain alternative in terms of pizza style. Plus, if you happen to be Muslim, their pepperoni is made with beef (alas, that means no sausage either).
