The Best Restaurants in Acton | Where to Eat in Acton, West London | Eater London

"Per its name, Ezo casts a slightly wider net than near neighbour Hasu, with both shoyu and tonkotsu ramens and nutty, tousled soba to go with thicker, springier udon. It does a few nifty things elsewhere, offering aburi on fish fatty enough to take the torching, as well as a miso black cod that doesn’t require diners to remortage their house." - James Hansen

Popped in for a drink and snack and the food has drawn us in. What we had was delicious (though a little slow considering we were one of two tables) and the menu also features some items I've never seen before at other Japanese restaurants. Definitely will be back to try the ramen/ for a proper dinner! A nice local find on Churchfield Road. The staff were lovely too!

Excellent authentic tasting Japanese food, has a good selection of sushi, sashimi, rice bowls, noodles and soup noodles. Very kind polite and helpful staff. Good with kids also. Many thanks!

Great authentic Japanese little spot! The quality of the sushi was outstanding and also offered lots of alternatives such as rice or noodles dishes you usually don’t find on the main street restaurants.. Everything was delicious! Service was so friendly but also very attentive and cordial. A great feeling of being looked after but without being pushed or chased to leave. Tiny spot with only a few seats and some outdoor tables. Prices are really reasonable! Possibly the best quality at the lowest price.. We ate a lot, including desserts and spent around 25£ each. Would highly recommend!

This was a lovely experience. The staff were welcoming and we sat outside which was ideal thanks to the good weather. We ordered starters and mains. I had Yakitori and a Chicken Katsu curry 🥘 which was honestly soo good! 😋 I also sampled some of my food buddies' sweet potato tempura and takoyaki 🐙 both of which were fresh and delicious. Food came in good time and overall, I highly recommend a visit! 🙂

My colleague and I went to this place on our lunch break- we sat on our table and said we were only going to order one dish- as we were on a time crunch . The staff then said that it’s minimum £10 spend - we have never heard across this ! The Japanese guy on the counter then said that we could get takeaway but then the lady said we have to wait outside even though there was only one table that was occupied. I then used their washroom and as soon as I finished the lady was outside and said that I need to pay first. They made us feel quite uncomfortable just because we refused to spend more money.

It was great to get a table at this lovely local restaurant. We started out with the seaweed salad & homemade kimchi. The kimchi was so delicious we got another portion. We had a cup of miso soup each with our sushi. Honestly we eat ALOT of sushi and this was some of the best we’ve had in a long time. The sushi just melted in the mouth, fresh soft rice and amazing produce. We tried some of the special Nigiri, the scallop & fatty salmon. The scallop was particularly good as it was direct from Japan and again melt in the mouth. There was no alcohol for sale and no music played so it was a little quiet, but the staff were attentive and we can’t wait to go back! Check out this Acton spot!

The best sushi I ever had in London! Everything so fresh and tasteful, perfection really! We had gyoza, takoyaki, uramaki, hosomaki and temaki, all extremely good. Prices are excellent and the restaurant is in a lovely location, can't wait to try the ramen too next time 😋

⚠️ Don't recommend eating in; little shop ran by Japanese, but quite a lot of mini flying insects 🦟, felt so itchy for 2 hours after I left, plus the food came very torturously slow. 🐢 1. Atmosphere The were so many insects flying around. When I left, I felt very itchy all over as if it’s bedbugs, it was so unbearable. Inside the shop is also very hot and stuffy 🥵. No wonder the breeding of insects here. 2. Service The service was fine because I was originally happy to know it’s fully run by Japanese owners, however service was excruciatingly slow. That resulted in my extended feeding to the biting insects around the restaurant. The waitress was very nice. 3. Food In general, the sushi portions are small, the sushi is 30% tinier than the ones at the other shops. Even the wasabi given to you is tiny, just enough for 1-2 sushi. The Tan Tan Men was the most disappointing. I actually forgot it was Tan Tan Men until a few minutes after I started eating, because it just looked like an average ramen. The egg was overcooked with a grey rim on the side of the egg yellow (which means it’s overcooked, and this is bad cholesterol). Had the Dragon roll & Spicy Salmon Avocado roll. Both roll’s were topped with thousand island sauce, and it was too much. Had the scallop nigiri which is the one thing I most commend. (Huge scallop). Fatty salmon nigiri was okay too. Anyways, by the time I had left I suffered from feeling extremely itchy for 3 hours, almost forgot the taste of food itself.
