Fable Lounge Is West End’s New Speakeasy and Piano Bar - Eater Nashville
"West End welcomes a new ‘speakeasy’, Fable Lounge, opening on Saturday, January 18. A press release promises a distinguished new experience unlike any other offerings in the area — one that pays homage to the speakeasies of the late nineteenth century. The press release vaguely references locally sourced, modern American comfort food with a fine dining twist. A first look at the menu shows a section of cheese and charcuterie boards, then a section small plates like whipped goat cheese, meat balls, and little gem salad. Five entrees range from burger to lamb to goat cheese ravioli. To drink, seasonally-inspired cocktails like the “love & riches” with Rittenhouse Rye, apple butter demerara, and bitters, join classic drinks and a cast of local Tennessee brews. Co-owners Ben Powell and John Dibble designed the space (located at 114 28th Avenue North) — which spans two floors, with a mezzanine and upstairs patio. An expansive piano lounge and luxurious booths await inside, and outside is a patio cigar lounge, all part of a historic building with a modern addition. The space itself has a storied past with a contemporary touch. From opening through February, Fable Lounge will also be donating a percentage of all small plate sales to The Nashville Food Project. Starting January 18, Fable Lounge will be open daily from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m." - Delia Jo Ramsey
