9 Essential Sandwiches for Fall - Eater NY

"What could be more autumnal than this sandwich from Swedish bakery Fabrique? A bakery is always a great place for a sandwich, because the bread will always be fresh, and this mini-baguette tastes of rye and sourdough. Building on those strong flavors, walnuts, dried cranberries, and a double-cream goat cheese add new tastes, making for a sandwich you won’t be bored with, down to the last bite, $12.50." - Robert Sietsema

Lovely pastry selection, with the cardamom bun being a standout - perfectly balanced cardamom flavor and a slightly crusty bottom. The coffee options are delightful too, and I especially enjoyed the flat white. There are a few tables in the back for seating, but note that there is no bathroom available.

Another sub standard place driven by a good social media marketing. It took forever to get a croissant (not busy) but one very nice but overworked person running the place doing everything. $5.20 for a croissant that I ended yup throwing out after two bites that how bad it was. They make it look good for pictures, however I feel like a sucker for having fell for this tourist trap.

I visited Fabrique bakery for the first time and had a pleasant experience overall. I tried their walnut and cinnamon bun, which was absolutely delicious. However, the matcha latte wasn’t my favorite; they use regular matcha instead of a ceremonial grade, which gives it a grassy taste I wouldn’t order again. The service was decent—nothing exceptional, but not bad either. One downside is that there’s no restroom for customers. Despite that, I’d definitely return to try more of their baked goods!

Cute spot on 5th Avenue with some seating. The quality of their bread is very good. I think you have to really like cardamom or Swedish style baked goods to appreciate the sweets. I’m not the biggest fan of this style so won’t go back but was glad to try. It’s a small space to order.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fabrique Bakery is a gem! The coffee is top-notch, always rich and flavorful, and their bakery selection is simply outstanding—every pastry is fresh and delicious. The sandwiches are equally impressive, with quality ingredients. What sets Fabrique apart is their genuine care for customers; the staff is friendly and attentive, making every visit a pleasure. I can only recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. It’s a must-visit for bakery lovers!

Outstanding bakery! If you’re around the area, Fabrique is a MUST. Their cardamom rolls + brown sugar ones are surreal. Scarlett was the sweetest and made our experience 10/10. She’s the best!!!

Cardamom bun is outstanding—perfectly uneven knots enveloped in spice. Also took home a full-length rye raisin log. This is undoubtedly the best and most distinctive rye loaf I’ve ever tried. Plus it presents beautifully. Even the chocolate balls and granola bars were a treat. A very welcome addition to Bryant Park.

Excellent atmosphere. It's exactly what you'd define as a "cozy bakery in your dreams". I tried the cardamom bun. I do believe it's a little over hyped, but nonetheless, good. It reminded me of pakistani cardamom chai.
