"Some products sold here have traveled a bit farther than your average farmers market find. A Virginia fisherman sells salmon, halibut, and other fish he catches in Alaska, while the olives are picked from a Baltimore company’s family farm in Greece. Fall flavors are on full display with the drink and food selections, including apple cider doughnuts and switchel, a beverage made with apple cider vinegar and maple syrup. Head to the market on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon." - Vox Creative
What a wonderful farmer's market, with such a positive vibe. From the live music duo to the fresh produce and many offerings of food prepared right on-site, there is something for it everybody!

Hands down the best farmers market in the area. Reasonably priced, live music, and great vendors. I only wish they had some art vendors.

Great Farmers Market right in our little community. Always great to support local farmers.

This is one of my favorite low key local farmers markets. They have most of what you would go for, minus anything extra. Great spot for a small weekend breakfast/brunch. Very kid friendly with the parks nearby.
Parking might get a little challenging depending on the time you arrive and what else is going on at the park but in general there are enough lots if you know where they all are.

Small parking lot with a nice park area for kids. Great selection of fruits and vegetables for sample and purchase, there’s a larger selection of fresh meat here that is also better priced!

Mean lady at the center tent working for the farmers market, (not a vendor) said my black lab wasn’t able to walk through. There were little little kids on scooters ramming into people not watching where they were going, their parents MIA. & My dog isn’t allowed. Terrible place never coming back. Arlington Native here.

Yelp
This is a nice community center with friendly staff. There are two really nice playgrounds outside and a cute farmers market on Sundays (including hog haven for breakfast!). The parking lot is small but not an issue on the weekdays. There is parking on the streets but it's limited due to permits. The soft play room is a really nice feature that is open Monday-Saturday and is FREE (unlike those in Alexandria). The hours during the week are 8ish-7ish but they close between 2-4pm. Saturday's it's 8ish-4:45pm with no midday closure. I went on a weekday during Thanksgiving week and it was overwhelmingly crowded with children and nannies. Around 12 it cleared out and we got it mostly to ourselves. While there is an employee in the room, she wasn't really monitoring children. Neither were their caregivers and I had to rescue my son multiple times from unruly children. My son is at the age where he loves to crawl around and explore so I'm glad to have this free resource so close to me!

Yelp
You might think you live in Iowa, or the 1950s, in a good way. This is a legit community center. It is spotless, nicely maintained with sizeable meeting rooms, an on-site gym, play space for kiddos, and Virginia extension office for classes.
Incredible park with covered picnic areas, soccer field, small track and dog park.

Yelp
This community center is set in the heart of fairlington. There's a nice playground outside and there seems to be be a lot going on inside. I'm not an expert on the place, but I am a big fan of the soft playroom located there for toddlers. It's a great, safe place to let your little one crawl around and play with other kiddos. And the best part is that it's free! Parking can be tight and the hours can be a little wacky, but my son always has a great time.

Yelp
A new summer farmers market located near the Arlington/ Alexandria border in Northern Virginia. Over a dozen vendors with special emphasis on local growers of fruits and vegetables in Virginia, Maryland and West Virginia. Also several meat and egg vendors plus specialty breads and pastries. Other locally produced foods as well. If you live in either of the adjacent communities, this is a great place to shop for freshness. An adjacent playground is a big hit with young shoppers. The iconic community center where the market is located is reminiscent of Williamsburg with its colonial architecture.
