Our group of friends has many avid golfers, so this was the location chosen for a birthday celebration. The first hour of service was superb. Our server was attentive, our food was just stellar, the host explained all our games to us and answered all our questions. Lovely start to the evening! Things went downhill after only an hour. When we extended our pad time time an hour, our server vanished. When we decided to spend an extra hour there, we agreed to order a tower of beer for all 7 members of our party, but we saw neither hide nor hair of our server. One person in our group approached the (empty) bar to request our server, and the female bartender was scrolling on her phone and completely ignored her. Thankfully the male bartender did pay attention to her, and went to the kitchen to find our server for us. We asked for our tower of beer, and we saw it start being poured. However, after 10 minutes, it was sitting on the counter half full. We waited for a bit, then my husband approached the bar to ask why is was sitting there getting warm and also only half full. Turns out the keg needed replaced, which is totally fine, but 2 seconds after my husband left, they finished filling the tower and the male bartender brought it to us. This was already 45 minutes into our extended game time. Shortly afterward, the host approached us to mention our limited time left in pad. She said she would notify our server that we planned to tab out. After a few minutes, feeling I had misunderstood, I went to the host stand asked how we could cash our our checks, and the host seemed surprised our server hadn't been by. I brushed it off and went back to our party. More time passed, and at this point, we were all upset with the lack of service and consideration. One of our group once again went to the host stand to request our server. She went to the kitchen and he came out seemingly bristled and asked how we wanted to split the checks. We decided on one check, and we'd figure out repayment upon ourselves, to make it easier for the employee. our group spent upwards of $500 with a 20% tip. Many of us had been in the restaurant industry ourselves, so we are specially considerate of anyone working for tips.
We chose to end our evening with the outdoor putt putt, and purchased 7 players worth of equipment. When we went outside, I noticed that there were old cups full of beverages cluttering the side table, although nobody had been outdoors our entire visit. After 5 of the "back nine" holes, the overhead lights turned off above us, leaving us in the dark. This was two hours before close.
For a venue that is portrayed as an upscale establishment, I was incredibly disappointed in the service. Like I said, there is a lot of compassion within our party for restaurant workers, but it was not busy at all, and there was nothing to warrant the lack of communication and attentiveness. No full bar or full tables, only one much larger party (with a different server) that constantly had full drinks and frequently was attended to.
.... The food WAS banging though. Not sure if they would warrant a visit, but it did tingle the tastebuds.
