Falafel Inc. Review - Georgetown - Washington DC - The Infatuation

"Besides knowing that every time you eat at Falafel Inc. you’re helping the world (the restaurant is partnered with the World Food Programme and donates a large chunk of their proceeds to charity), you also selfishly come here for the price. The Mediterranean restaurant known for its bare bones interior and wooden paneling has three locations in the city: Foggy Bottom, Georgetown, and the Wharf. Everything is under $6 (sandwiches are $4 and bowls are $5), so it's perfect if you're on a tight budget until pay day. The zaa’tar fries are savory and salty, the falafel is fresh, and their habibi sauce is, as we like to say, is love at first taste." - Omnia Saed

Among all the vendors at Western Market, Falafel stood out for how quick, affordable, and meaningful the experience was. The service was SUPER fast—perfect for a busy lunch/dinner rush— and the price was very reasonable. The falafel itself was crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside, and everything tasted fresh. I also tried their za'atar fries, which were seasoned perfectly and totally addictive, sch a great side! What made the experience even better was knowing that every meal helps feed refugees in need. If you are looking for a quick, tasty, HEALTHY, and budget-friendly meal with a mission, Falafel is absolutely worth stopping by. :)

The price is simply unbeatable. Paid 9$ for the Zaatar fries and the falafel sandwich. The falafel sandwich was a little spicy so I didn’t like it that much, the fries however 11/10, some of the best ones I ever had. I ate them cold and even then they were AMAZING. The service and was at least as good if not even better. Also liked the idea of the “sauce station”, where you could just fill the sauces you want into little to go containers!!

Ordered a vegan falafel bowl with hummus and fries. Got my food, got back into my car and drove away. Started to eat my food while driving and realized I was given a chicken rice bowl with sauce I’m allergic to. I went back to the store and explained I was given the wrong order. No apology, or explanation. The two ladies working just yelled at each other. They couldn’t even verify if the sauce in my bowl was vegan or not so I had to go compare the sign with sauces to the menu on my phone to see if I ate non vegan sauce. The food is tasty but the lack of attention to detail and lack of customer service is baffling. I’ve been sick since eating some that first bowl. It wasn’t even busy, since at the time there was only me and one other customer ordering food. They really need to do better with allergies and orders. Only getting 5 stars for atmosphere because Western Marker is great. This store, not so much.

We visited Falafel Inc and had a great experience! The place was super clean, and the customer service was on point. Ordering was easy and smooth—we used the self-serve machine, and the pictures with each item made it really helpful to know what we were getting. Prices were very reasonable, and the portion sizes were impressive. We tried the falafel bowl and chicken bowl, and both were absolutely delicious. They also had sauces on the side that you could add yourself—and they were so flavorful! Loved everything about this spot. 10/10, highly recommend!

The food is always great at Falafel Inc. I love the zaatar fries and the chips! It's a great location as well and you get in and out pretty quickly as well. The falafel sandwich is also delicious and it's an amazing value for lunch!

Having never had falafel, I was excited to try this and am so glad I did! I ordered a side of falafel (six pieces) and zatar chips. I had it with the regular sauce. The falafel was delicious. I will absolutely eat here again when we visit DC, and I looked up a recipe to make it at home! The chips had a nice seasoning flavor but were a burnt. Next time, I would get fries instead. There's not much in the way of service - you order and pay at a tablet without talking to anyone. Then someone calls your name and hands you food. But they handed me the falafel in an open bag type container with the chips in a different container. Trying to carry those along with a container of sauce was not easy. I hadn't ordered a drink (they didn't have one I wanted), which ended up being good because I wouldn't have been able to carry it. A better way to package the food would have made for better service.

What a great find! Located in the Western Market food court, close to the university. This small falafel concession serves tasty & filling falafel sandwiches, fries, rice bowls, hummus and vegetarian shwarma meat etc... Prices are amazing for the US... $4 for a falafel sandwich, filled with veggies and sauce, as well as the falafel. Service was quick and efficient. I'd definitely recommend and will be back. Thank you.

Good quality, wholesome food for an insanely good value. I could not believe how cheap this place was especially for how good the food was. There’s lots of tables in the food hall which has good lighting. I’d say the portion is such that one entree makes for a light meal and two for a big generous meal. Definitely worth trying this place!
