Falcon's Handcrafted Sandwiches

I had Falcon’s for the first time today via Door Dash. I had a taste for a deli type sandwich and they dod not disappoint. Most places these days skimp on the meat. Not here! Very generous with turkey and bacon and it comes with fries, good ones! The price was really good for what I got too. I’ll definitely go there and order out from them again.

I’ve been living in the area for three years and I always pass it by, I decided to go in two weeks ago and have been back 4 times since then. OMG!!! their buffalo chicken wrap is sooooo good I’ve ordered it that many times! My partner got a chicken cesar wrap and a chocolate milkshake. Both were delicious! Their homemade lemonade is a must as well. Check them out if you’re in the neighborhood

Why are you still settling for burgers and sandwiches where all the toppings slide around more than Diddy baby oiled up on a slip and slide? You’ll probably plead ignorant of wrong doing like the NYC mayor 🙃 which is why I have to give a shout out to Falcons Handcrafted Sandwiches!! Falcon’s sandwiches hold a lot of weight, kind of like your back during the winter time. I got the Salmon Sandwhich that had Salmon, mixed greens, 🍅 , 🥑, fried 🍳 and garlic aioli. It also came with perfectly seasoned, salted and crispy fries. It was a lot of sandwich for a more than fair price. If this was west loop or river north you would have to pay damn near double for probably quarter less of the ingredients and fries definitely wouldn’t be included. Ever since politicians wanted to call them freedom fries it seems like more and more restaurants have segregated the iconic duo but Falcon’s is definitely for the people! It is so rare to find a good sandwich place and even more rare for one that is open even when the sun is going down. Falcon’s is a phenomenal place with great ingredients and a diverse menu. Who else do you know can serve chicken Versuvio and paninis sandwiches and excel?

Got the Magic Mushroom burger + Bacon.. 🔥🔥 Burger was juicy and delicious. The grilled onions & mushrooms were grilled to perfection. The fries were crisp and tasty. Got the Mango Habenero wings, just the right mix of spicy and sweet! I want to come back to try the pasta and the onions rings..! 😍😍

Most excellent burgers!! Didn't know what to expect, very impressed! I had a black n blue, the wife spicy cow. We both love them and the tasty fries. Big thumbs up!!

Do you like delicious, fresh food in a clean, pleasant environment delivered to your table quickly and pleasantly?! Then you like Falcon’s!! I had the fried chicken sandwich, which was CRISPY, SAUCY, and FRESH!!! The fries taste like your dad’s home fryer in the best possible way. Did I write this review like someone who has just discovered the internet? Absolutely. Do you need to go to Falcon’s? Also yes. Enjoy your meal!

Service here is always great! I had the fettuccine Alfredo and it is notches above many of the other local places … lots of garlic flavor and the quality of the pasta was way better than I expected, seemed fresh instead of dried. The sandwiches here are great but don’t sleep on the pasta! Yum.

Incredible place! The sandwiches are great, the fries are top notch, and the milkshakes are out-of-this-world good and really reasonably priced.

My favorite smashburger and fries plus milkshake cheat meal is at Falcon's. Wings are awesome too. Everything is made to order and the ingredients taste very fresh. Food is prepared well. Burger is seasoned well, juicy and yet crispy around the edges. Fries are have great potato flavor and crispy without being greasy. I normally feel milk shakes are too sweet in restaurants, but Falcons's espresso milk shake was so BOMB. It was creamy, perfect espresso flavor and dairy forward. After hitting 100% on everything we ordered, I am excited to try all the other items on their menu like fried chicken sandwich, pasta, soups, etc. Top it all off...Carla is the sweetest and one of the most kind servers in Chicago! She was happy to answer any questions we had, gave great recommendations and was smiling with twinkling eyes and upbeat attitude the whole time.

Very unassuming from the outside and we actually walked past it at first. The outside and the decor on the inside certainly wasn't what we were expecting, but a perfect example of, "don't judge a book by it's cover." The food here was excellent. I had the buffalo chicken wrap which is right up there with some of the other great buffalo chicken wraps I've had. My wife had the turkey wrap and said it was one of the best wraps she's ever had. The fries that come with the wraps are also perfect! Good service and the food came out quick. Will definitely be back!

I need to adjust my review. The owner reached out and mentioned that their mozzarella sticks were freshly made and not ordered from Sysco. I stand corrected. Please go eat at this place, their burgers are AMAZING!

My fiancée and I have visited here a couple times and it's been extremely good! The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and clean! This will keep being one of my go to spots!

This place is so good! So many options. The burgers are excellent. My kids really love the wings. The milkshake bar is great for kids.

Incredibly underrated place! I heard someone say they have great fries so we decided to check it out around 8 on a Saturday night. Service was quick and friendly. They have a nice variety of diner faves and great sounding specials. I had a smashburger with grilled onions, pepperjack cheese and a delicious savory tomato jam. The fries were AWESOME. We also had some fried pickles which got a little soggy, though this can happen when you get fried pickle spears. There was no one in there (although it was a gross, humid night overall) which made me sad because it's such a cute place with nice food! I will definitely be back and will have to get a milkshake next time. They look soooo good.

Everyone is always so kind when we come in. It's our go to spot in the neighborhood for a classic sandwich and fries lunch on an afternoon.

I was craving a burger and hear many good things about Falcon's from neighbors. I called for takeout on a Sunday evening and had an overall good experience. There is metered parking around the restaurant and it seems fairly easy to find a spot. Ordering was a breeze and the staff working were very pleasant to interact with. I thought the chalkboard behind the counter was a cute touch. You can see it from any seat in the restaurant. One thing I was amazed by was that even after a 15 minute walk back to my place, my order remained HOT. Very impressive given most takeout usually loses warmth the second you leave! The food is definitely tastes like that local diner food a chain can't replicate. Only thing I wouldn't order again is the mozzarella sticks. One was crushed at the bottom and was slightly disappointing to only get four for $8. Definitely not $2 a stick worthy. They almost tasted freezer burnt with a sweetness that mozzarella sticks shouldn't have. The burger was fantastic! So were the fries! Here is where I felt I got a great bang for my buck. The burger and the toppings were generously sized and tasty. I agree with others who said that you get a lot of fries and there were fries to save for leftovers. No complaints here! Definitely will be ordering from here again and can't wait to check out the breakfast side of the menu!

The sandwiches here are delicious! My friends and I ordered a larger order that included several wraps, sandwiches, and even a hamburger. I really personally liked the Buffalo chicken wrap. I found the veggie sandwich to be a bit soggy. Overall everyone seemed to like the food though which was great. The younger male who had me pay at the counter didn't seem to be very talkative or friendly, but it was earlier on a Saturday when no one was there yet. The lady who brought me my food from the back was friendly though! Would recommend to others!

The staff are very nice. They really decorate the place! The food tastes great! The grilled cheese had extra cheese. The shakes are top notch. And the fried chicken sandwich was delicious too! Thanks, Falcon's!

By the outside, Falcon's Handcrafted Sandwiches is so unpretentious. You wouldn't even know it's there unless you walk by it. Total low key, casual and food is very good. Aside from handcrafted sandwiches, they also offer salads, pasta and other items on menu. Speaking of menu, it's pretty balanced in terms of choices they offer. I believe there's something for everyone. Service is friendly and polite. Ambiance is nice too, music plays in background at a low volume, spacious and clean. While I was there, I noticed there are a lot of "orders to go", people coming in to pick their orders, which makes sense for those business in the area and many people working from home. Overall, I recommend for a good quick lunch or meet up with friends. There's street parking and several bus route near by. Oh, did I mentioned they are BYOB? Yes! Another good quality to keep in mind.

Food is outstanding. I usually get the cheese steak. Very juicy and flavorful. I suggest the steak over the chicken cheese steak, which is fine but not as good. The special turkey thanksgiving sandwich was really good too and nice this time of year. You can save a lot of money if you BYOB. They dont seem to charge a corking fee. Service is prompt and good. Menu is diner basics/American classics and relaxed vibes.

Food was mid, despite all the positive reviews. I ordered a BLT and fried pickles. The BLT itself was alright, but the pickles were fried in a weird batter and tasted so off. All the food smells like a cigarette and the oil they use tastes old

I would like to give a special recognition to the owner Yolanda. This young lady was amazing. I truly appreciate how she resolved the situation. Yolanda demonstrated the sincerity and compassion when assisting myself. Falcons give you a family vibe a spot where you can come in away from the heat and have a cold glass of freshly squeezed lemonade, or a cool cup of Gelato. This restaurant has a vast amount of sandwiches from burgers,paninis, wraps soups, salads, baked goods, etc Falcons exceeded my expectations and the service from Yolanda was superb. I will be back to try the other items on the menu and bring friends with me. Good Eats

Add my wife and me to the list of people who had great food and a great dining experience at Falcon's. We stopped on a Wednesday early evening prior to taking the train to Ravinia. There were just a couple other tables occupied. The hostess met us and showed us to a table. The restaurant is not fancy but is bright and nicely decorated. We split the salmon pasta dish and a Caesar salad. Both were excellent. The lettuce on the salad was crisp and fresh with a very tasty dressing. And the pasta (which the waitress split onto two plates for us) had a good sized piece of salmon and a nice garlic oil on the noodles. The price was also very reasonable. We'll be back!

We've collectively been sleeping on this place. It's amazing. My family went there for dinner the other night, and everything we had was sensational. If you want fancy ambience, go elsewhere, but this is sort of on the Kuma's Corner vibe (without the metal) in that it's not a fancy place, but the food is unusually good.

Portions are hefty. Unbeknownst to me it's byob & there's a liquor store across the street. The food isn't the best thing ever however it's not the worst. The shrimp tacos were the worst thing of the evening. Extremely tasteless. It came with a salsa but not even that could help. The fries were the highlight of the meal as it's hard to find quality hand cut fries imho. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her shake & her & my wife damn near fought over it. Twas a disappointment to hear that they couldn't substitute the truffle fries for the regular fries.

I wish that we could give half stars, because Falcon's is a solid 4.5 stars in my book. The service was friendly, the food was solid, and the atmosphere cozy and unassuming. My sister got the fettuccine Alfredo and said it was quite good. The portion was huge, though it could have used a bit more chicken. I had the magic mushroom burger, which came with fries. Both were delicious. We were also impressed with the milkshakes, which were fresh and decadent without being cloying. Overall, this is a great place for a casual dinner, and we look forward to our next visit.

I ordered a Chicken Caesar wrap (dressing on the side) for takeout - it was ready quickly, affordably priced, and all the ingredients taste fresh and tasty. The grilled chicken is juicy, the lettuce is crispy, the tortilla is warm and soft, and the dressing tastes homemade and creamy. Fries also taste like they're made in-house. I heard from friends that the milkshakes are very good. The interior has the welcoming atmosphere of a suburban diner. Kid-friendly. I'm looking forward to trying out their breakfast options on the weekend mornings.

A hidden gem here in Ravenswood. My friend and I were looking for a place and when we passed it, we both said it looked very unassuming. I have to say I was highly surprised in a good way. Let me get into it. The food at Falcon's handcrafted sandwiches is very tasty. We got the wings and burgers. The way the wings were presented I have to say they were are good as Buffalo Wild Wings! They had the crips and the flavor was in every bite. The cheese burger I got was just as good too. Every ingredient was fresh and placed in a certain way which shows the chef in the kitchen really cares! On to the service. The waitress really knew the entire menu. And she even indicated that it was a small family run business. And she recommend the falcon burger my friend got which he liked. The atmosphere or ambiance like I like to call it, was very unique. It had the old school 70's 80's diner feel. That is one thing kids nowadays really have never experienced. Overall, I will say if you want a high quality burger with that small family business diner feel grab a burger at Falcon's!

Very tasty Turkey Wrap, and some of the best fries I've had in a while. Plenty of tempting choices on their menu.

Delicious food and quality ingredients. We eat anywhere from diners to Michelin Star places so feel good about this one! It is good for families, children, or a charming lunch date.

Best burger I've had in a long, long time. Tomato jam was slightly sweet, grilled onions were nice and savory, meat was juicy. Bun actually held up to all the juice. So good. Wings were plump and meaty. Would prefer a more robust blue cheese; was pretty thin and bland. But that's about the only complaint. Fries were great too. Black Cherry milkshake was perfection on a hot day. Appears to be run by a lovely family. The son and daughter out front. A bit quiet yes, but helpful and kind. Husband and wife in the kitchen, making everything from scratch. Husband wanted the breaded pork tenderloin sandwich but was afraid of getting burned w/a frozen Sysco patty. Nope! They pound and bread and fry to order. When they say "Handcrafted" they mean it. Also, homemade, fresh, made-to-order, and delicious. My only complaint would be more seasoning. I'm a fiend for salt and flavor so I would've loved more S & P on the fries, more slaw on the pork tenderloin, and more heat in the wings. But that's just me. Full and varied menu. Will be back!

Blue cheese burger was pretty yummy. I'm picky about French fries and I loved them. Will repeat them!

Don't miss this low-key, under-the-radar, neighborhood eatery. Their BLT is the best! The chipotle mayo and sourdough make it very special. The fries are fabulous. Service is always fast and very pleasant. You are always greeted with a smile. Everything we've every had is fresh and well prepared.

This place was such a pleasant surprise! The food is excellent, from great soups and salads, to delicious sandwiches. I get something new every time and have YET to be disappointed. On top of great food, the service is astounding. Run don't walk. WELL WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!!!

I LOVE this place. Me and my boyfriend stopped in on a Friday afternoon for a quick sandwich and have since made it our permanent Friday lunch spot. they put a lot of attention to detail in all their food and are super nice. can't recommend it enough!!

This place opened just before Christmas, I think, but I haven't had a chance to pop in yet. It's within a couple blocks of my home and though there have been many restaurants in this location (and next door) in the decade-plus that I've lived here, I haven't actually been interested in the ones there before. We ordered a few things to get a taste for it. The chicken sandwich, BLT, and chili all came home with me in addition to a couple milkshakes. I was really, really pleased with the BLT because I forgot to ask for the bacon to be well done, but it was actually already well cooked, not a bunch of flimsy, half-cooked meat. It shouldn't be something that deserves praise at a restaurant but so many don't actually cook bacon thoroughly that I have to give props to those that do! I liked the chipotle may in place of standard mayo; it isn't all that hot but it adds a nice flavor. They also don't use too much mayo, which is a big problem at many places that do a BLT. I didn't have any of the chicken sandwich but it was good too. I really like the bread they used for both, too. The portions were large. Sandwiches come with French fries, an there were a lot of them. I struggled to finish everything. Milkshakes were good, though I understand the black cherry was not quite as strong cherry flavor as might be expected. The restaurant was clean, and service was fine. The owner's teens were running the front and got everything correct--the chicken sandwich for a picky eater didn't have anything it wasn't supposed to. I would eat here again (or have takeout from here again), and would be curious to give their weekend breakfast a try, too.

Great new lunch spot! It's a sandwich-oriented diner with a very friendly, mom-and-pop vibe. We stopped in Saturday at 2pm, and the place was mostly empty. Service was great, the people are super friendly. We got the Italian sausage sandwich and the BLT, both were great, and it was one of the better BLT's I've had in a while. The fries were EXCELLENT, way better than your standard greasy-spoon fries. Great neighborhood spot, definitely will be going back.

Great hand cut French fries and awesome selection of sandwiches. The smash burger was delicious.

Overall I give this 4.5 stars. Food has been excellent all three times. I get the buffalo wings. My wife had the grilled cheese and fried chicken sandwich. All are great. I would recommend customizing the decor a bit so it looks less French.

This place has a very large menu consisting of wraps,sandwiches, smash burgers, soups, seafood, pasta and much more. The food is so good as well as comfy seating. But it is a shame it is so quiet here.

New kid on the block made quite an impression, I chase Breaded Tenderloin Sandwiches and this one hit the spot. A nice twist from a typical Breaded Tenderloin, this one includes a very interesting green apple coleslaw and mustard. Excellent French Fries included with the sandwich reminded me of Al's #1 which I consider some of the best fries in the city. These are very good French Fries. The Vanilla Milkshake looked wonderful and was wonderful. Good value, I like the chalkboard. (FDV Approved 4.5 - Food, 4.7; Design, 4.2; Value, 4.6).

I really enjoy the food from Falcon's! My family loves the burgers (bacon cheeseburger is a fav), the dirty bird chicken sandwich, and the Italian sausage sandwich. The portions are large and the prices are right. They have a nice kids menu too (try the kids chicken and waffles). It is a family run business and everyone is super nice. The interior has a diner type feel to it. Love going here when we want to stay in our comfy clothes and eat something delicious.

This place is fantastic! The grilled cheese and cream of tomato was perfection. My girlfriend had the black and blue burger and it was spot on. We are very looking forward to coming back to try their breakfast and pasta for dinner.

Really excellent!!!!!! Easily one of the best fried chicken sandwiches I've ever had (I got the Dirty). The truffle parm fries were also out of this world. Generous portions too!

I ordered because of good reviews. My cheesesteak was horrible and I tossed it in the garbage. Totally over done and burnt. One and done never again.

I had the pork tenderloin sandwich. It didn't quite satiate my craving for a midwestern classic but I was satisfied with what I received. The fries were delicious and well seasoned. Apparently they do breakfast as well which I'm excited to try.

Very good moderately priced new dinner/lunch spot. The food was out pretty quickly. I had the wings and cheese fries. Meaty wings and fresh fries. My fiancé had the chicken sandwich with fries which he really enjoyed. Will definitely be coming back. I thought the street names on the booths were a cute touch too.

Great food and service! I believe the two younger folks working are brother and sister, and they were both friendly and attentive. Great burgers, great choices on the kids menu. Wish that substitutions on the sides didn't require paying full price for the side, but the fries are good regardless.

I had a turkey panini that was good sized with lots of tasty and fresh toppings. Also, the bread was outstanding. Fries were crispy. Staff was friendly. Everything looked clean. Nice selection of sandwiches and burgers. The seating is diner style with booths. I will return for sure. Prices were about what you'd expect since sandwiches come with fries. I was hungry and could not finish all of my meal.

Great place. Tasty burgers and wonderful gelato. We had cheeseburgers including the blue cheese burger. Wonderful flavor on the burgers. Delicious gelato. Definitely will be back to try the many other sandwich offering and tempted by the pastas. Great service too and comfortable dining area.

This was our first time here and we had a great time. The server was very attentive. And the food was great. The wings where one of the best we've had in the area. We will definitely be back.
