Yelp
This spot has a cool, laid back vibe, sitting right on the road with both patio and indoor seating. The walls are covered in eye catching art, making it a fun place to hang out. The draft list? Massive. Over twenty beers to choose from, which made it tough to decide! Here is what I tried? Tora!: Dry with a bite Chaos Division: Really hoppy and zesty Enzo: Dry hop taste Tribal Lager: Easy drinking. Light bodied, clean. Very light crisp. I really liked the space and the staff were nice!

Yelp
Didn't expect the beer to be this good! I got the let's go ipa and it rocks!! Nice patio outside with tons of seating and heat / fire lamps for a chilly night. Also, they had a food truck parked outside, but if you want, you can bring your own food! Per friendly too! This place is awesome for a beer on the weekend or even a quick lunch break during the week :)

Yelp
Good beers & punk rock vibes! They are super dog friendly with a well situated patio. I loved the Fluffernutter Pastry Stout. Most stouts have a bitter finish and this one punches up front and has a soft finish! Loved it! Husband had the Let's Go and he loved the bitter balance of this West Coast style beer. We also met some peeps from Virginia on the patio. Great spot to socialize and people watch. Our Frenchie was comfy too!

Yelp
Five starts all the way. Whether you go during the slower week days or during peak hours on the weekend, it's always a good time. They have a rotating selection of food trucks so every day is a new adventure and plenty of beer options. They let you bring in food too so go grab some Hawaiian food from Ono's or pizza and burger from Friendly's to pair with your refreshing beer. I love the open indoor space and the outside patio. Kid and dog friendly too!

Yelp
Quick stop to try this place out. Great place for a drink and hang out. There is no designated parking area so that may be challenging finding in the neighborhood. Staff are friendly and their beers are great. There are no food here so eat before or after. There are restaurants right down the street from this place. I would recommend this spot.

Yelp
My favorite brewery in San Diego!! The beers are all solid and they offer taster sizes in addition to full pours and half-ish pours. The vibe is lively and they're always blasting punk rock music. This location is my favorite, I just like the neighborhood, the patio, regular food trucks, and the nearby food options that you can bring to the brewery. The biggest drawback is parking, it seems to only be getting worse (only street parking, no parking lot). I no longer live in San Diego, but I ALWAYS make a trip to Fall when I visit!

Yelp
Steve and I had San Diego based brewery, Fall Brewing Company not too long ago. We had the pilsner, Plenty For All and we enjoyed it. Flavor features with this beer are clean, smooth, malty and hoppy. It's also light bodied so very similar to some of those corporate beers that rural America is fond of but when a craft brewery makes their own rendition of such beers It's always so, so much better. I was a rampaging purchase monster with their swag here, specifically their t shirts and bought... oh, about four or five. Their logos and concepts I really, really enjoyed a lot hence the big purchase but all the more opportunities to go representing this solid brewery when out and about trying out other breweries that are on that lengthy list of mine.

Yelp
It was an okay spot to grab a drink. Came here on a Sunday afternoon. Ordered two beers and neither of them really hit. Which was kinda disappointing. If I had to rate the beer. I'd give it a 2 star. But the people and especially the staff is why I gave this a four star rating. I walked in and felt like everyone was super friendly and inviting. That's not something you get everywhere. Maybe from the bartenders but definitely not from the other people there. There's an outside section and an inside with a few high tops and some low top tables. The outside only has a few chairs and is mostly for standing. It's a tricky place to find parking since there's so much around. Not sure I'd come back here. But the beers were mediocre. But I'd definitely stop by for the smiles.

Yelp
Got the Unruly Jetpack IPA - smooth mouthful with some tangerine on the backend. The brewery itself is a hip spot in the North Park area - we walked here from some other breweries. There was also a tasty sounding food truck when we arrived (but had already eaten). About 15 beers on the tap list with a variety of different types - funky music playing while we were in. Cool spot!

Yelp
I live in this neighborhood and have lived here for 20-plus years. This is a nice addition to the area and so is their beer. I used to go to Hess often but haven't in a very long time because I prefer the beers and atmosphere here at this tasting room. What I like about Fall is that they have quite a nice Lager lineup and some good dark beer. My favorites are the 2 AM Bike Ride, they had a German Oktoberfest lager that I really love, but I didn't see it today. The Brown Ale is very good and my husband also enjoyed the Sour they had on tap. I only pop in here once a week and it's usually when the tourists and Air B and B'ers are gone. It's a great place to get together with your friends to sit and enjoy a good beer with your conversation. It's also great sitting and reading a good book you may have purchased from the Book Catapult next door or grabbed from one of the little local libraries. Next time I go, I am bringing in some vegan ice cream from next door to have with that 2 a.m. bike Ride. Fall is a very good neighbor, everyone who works here is very nice and knows the beer lineup and what to recommend. Fun little hangout and I am glad they are here.

Yelp
Fall Brewing is, without a doubt, my favorite brewery in San Diego! The beer is always on-point, from classics to new creations. Punk rock blasting always puts me in a beer drinkin' mood. And I dare you to try to leave without merch! The best.

Yelp
If you are a fan of beer, this is worth checking out. They don't have ciders, so for the non-beer drinkers, you only have soda options. The brewery itself is spacious with indoor and outdoor options. They had a food truck/tent set up that was serving beef sandwiches for food. We tried the Plenty for All and Oh Yeah. Both options were good. I'm not much of a fan of beer, so the Oh Yeah was their least beer-y option. Hubby, who loves beer, thought it was like water lol! He liked his Plenty for All. Service is minimal as you go to the bar and order what you want.
google avatar

Stephanie B.

Yelp
My husband loves the beer here. It is a chill spot with punk rock vibes. Indoor and outdoor seating with dogs allowed inside or out, you can bring your own food in since they only serve chips. They also have games. Bartenders are great as well.

Yelp
Awesome spot in the North Park neighborhood - I definitely envy those that live in this area because everything is so walkable! - PARKING - Street parking only; we got lucky and found a spot right across the street corner! - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - Really nice brewery, with outdoor and indoor seating available. During these summer months, its nice that they open up all the windows and doors to let the air flow through. They have a food truck outside too in case you want some food! There's bar seating, large table seating, and benches. They also have some board games available for you to play while you enjoy your drinks. The staff were nice and friendly, as most beertenders are! Bathrooms available inside as well. Dog friendly!! - DRINKS - Flight: We love getting flights at breweries to get a taste of everything. Really nice selection of beers on tap here, so you can get your lagers, sours, IPAs, and some unique options too! - OVERALL - Nice neighborhood spot to grab a few beers and enjoy the summer weather! Love the walkability to other shops and businesses so you can make a whole day out of it!

Yelp
Nice place with good vibes. Pretty empty during the day of a weekday. Staff was nice and helpful. My partner loves beer but I was happy they had a couple of seltzers as well. The decor was really cool and it had a nice open indoor space as well as a cute turfed outdoor area. It smelled very strongly of fuel though because of the many big rigs across the street.

Yelp
Met up with a guy I met on Hinge here and I could attest that Fall Brewing Company was a decent choice for that kind of first time interaction. Why: - It's a welcoming environment that pulls off the right balance of not being too romantic or hectic for two strangers assessing whether they have a connection or not. - It's centrally located in the heart of the coolest, comfiest, casual-yet-cute neighborhood for walking and grazing (close to Mothership, Station Tavern, Whistle Stop, etc.) - Dog-friendly patio - Reasonably priced = guilt free princess date, or if you're like me and you take pride in buying your own shit, you won't feel disappointed going broke during what could potentially be a boring date - Great selection of beer to please the Mexican lager drinker, the IPA drinker, the Stout drinker, the sour, etc. So all in all, I enjoyed Fall Brewing and now I feel more inclined to pick up a case whenever I see their product. My only regret is missing out on the food trucks that everyone else is talking about! Hmph!

Yelp
Every time my wife and I, or separately....we will make time to swing by. Some really tasty beers and a cool venue as well.

Yelp
I've passed by this brewery so many times and finally decided to give it a try. Parking is a bit tough on the weekends, but available in the residential areas. It's on the same street as other bars, so bar hopping is convenient! The vibe is fun and welcoming. Dog and kid friendly. There is both outdoor and indoor seating and a bunch of fans, which is great especially for this heat! We tried a few IPAs, Japanese lager, and seltzers. Everything was delicious! Prices are also great. I love that there are different food trucks every so often. We tried the tacos from one the other day (pictured) and it was the perfect pairing with our beers! Definitely recommend giving this place a try.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite San Diego breweries and it's not even just because of their location near the friendly. The atmosphere is always lively, but never annoying which I think is a very important distinction when picking a place to enjoy a few beers. The service is always quick and the beers are always bomb. I will say the only thing that makes me sad is usually they'll make some limited time banger beers and they're only available for a limited time and if you don't buy a bunch you will never have those delicious things again.

Yelp
We loved this spot! The beer was great. Becky loved the seltzer options and service was top-notch. We loved the dog friendly patio where we met Montgomery (Monty) the happy-go-lucky dog who loved Hawaiian food. (Monty's human was great at sharing) While we were there the Corazon Torta food truck rolled up and opened up for business. We did not partake, but it smelled damn good. We were going to be one and done. We stayed for three. Fall Brewing Company - cool place to hang.
google avatar

Christina M.

Yelp
Their sour was good, but the woman behind the counter we found unfriendly. I'm big on customer service. Punk rock was playing which is not my music of choice, however, the customers here did seem to enjoy it.

Yelp
This place is awesome. It's in a great part of town. I always love stopping at The Friendlly for a burger and/or pizza then walking over. The beer is absolutely delicious. The environment is awesome, and the staff are very friendly. They are also dog friendly.

Randy S.

Yelp
I tried Fall Brewing about a week ago. I sat at the bar and enjoyed a tropical IPA craft beer. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I wanted to have food with my beer, but the food truck was just setting up as I left the pub. Overall, I thought this was a great place to get a beer or hard cider.
google avatar

Janine K.

Yelp
Fall is one of our favorite breweries in San Diego! They consistently have good beers with a bit of rotation. I like that they have some pre-canned beers ready to go but you can also get a crowler of whatever you want. They put on art shows and other events sometimes, which are always fun also. They have a nice big patio and it is very dog friendly. Parking can be tough but that is normal for the area.
google avatar

Carolyn P.

Yelp
Great beer selection and options for indoor and outdoor seating. The "smoothie" beer was particularly good with hints of fruit but also a creaminess that was quite fun. Well-behaved pups are welcome, there is a food truck next door, and also options to bring your own grub from wherever.
google avatar

Mayra S.

Yelp
I'm a Mexican lager type of gal. I like light beers and the Tora was a major hit with me. Torá - Japanese lager 5.2% aromatic notes of jasmine rice and honey crisp, bright clear and dry.
google avatar

Heather P.

Yelp
Amazing and sweet and held down the party, he wouldn't accept a tip. He deserves the world.

Yelp
Unfortunately closed for a private event on a busy summer Saturday. I don't know how I feel about it! There should be a better way to close a portion of your brewery than not allowing anyone trying to visit it in! Also, parking is sooo bad and took us at least 20 mins to find a spot. Also they were being swarmed by flies.. what a waste of a trek here!!

Janet W.

Yelp
Fall is our go to: the tunes, artwork (sometimes obscene which suits me perfectly), the German style beers, the regular beers, the people who work there...it's killer overall. The only downside is families. I know North Park/Normal Heights, I grew up here for &h1ts sake, but the gentrification is killing the culture. There are tons of other breweries to bring your spawn, but why to a place that's not that family oriented? Every Saturday!! And the screaming, letting them run around, etc. We're not your babysitters!! Keep your kids muffled and on a leash!! Even the folks who work there ( I'm not naming names for their sake) can't stand it, I know, we're all in agreement on this one. Why a punk rock bar?! Why not a pizza place or somewhere with Top 40 playing and a kitchen (Coronado springs to mind). We never came into your areas and blasted our tunes, smoked, and got rowdy...so why do you all have to come to ours! ? Anyway, I'm glad the bar itself hasn't changed ( worker people, beer, tunes, etc) and hopefully never will. Dogs are always a welcome sight too, I love that myself. We've been regulars since they opened too. If you don't like the tunes, there are other options locally. Please don't change Fall though, or the Live Wire ( thankfully that's 21+ though).
google avatar

Kim T.

Yelp
One of the better breweries in SD! The space is large and inviting. I love that the inside is open to the outside so you get to enjoy the great SD year round. Their beer selections are always good and we love to come hang out on a sunny day.

Yelp
- Businesses operating during the pandemic, "thank you" review #14* - Who: Fall Brewing Company What: Fall Brewing, one of my faves, and this statement is coming from me, a person who does not drink a ton of beer. Well, what does a worldwide pandemic do? It definitely reinforces the need to spend your money locally and can even turn a vodka guy into a "Devil's Right Hand" drinker. The front door is open but only for pickup. You'll need to keep your distance if there are any other customers in the building but the staff is quick to let you know when it's your turn. When I approached the counter I was ready to go, placed my beer order and tacked on a bag of coffee too. Yeah, you heard it, coffee! A nice Fall Brewing/Dark Horse collab is the ultimate in supporting local and I'm happy (and caffeinated enough) to do so. When: During operating hours. Please call to confirm that they are indeed open when looking to pick up what you need. - *As long as the world is in an unpredictable place with the coronavirus dictating our lives and schedules, I'm going to review businesses who are still operating to provide us some sense of normalcy, and this is one of those reviews. My reviews will be 100% positive when clearly indicated with the "Businesses during the pandemic" header and footer. Feel free to steal the format and do the same for the hard working businesses that you come across. -

Yelp
This place was PACKED on a Friday night! We have driven by a few times as it's on a popular street in the North Park area and it's always pretty busy. We finally stopped in and grabbed a few beers while waiting for our table at a nearby restaurant. The beers were pretty good and they had a selection of about 10-15. The jazz hands was a really good sour choice!! My husband got a west coast IPA and also really enjoyed his! Great place for genuine craft beer in the north park area.
google avatar

Jenna L.

Yelp
I love their clothes, some items are not the cheapest, but the quality and creativity is good enough to balance the cost. Very creative place with excellent quality beer. A real San Diego hidden Gem!
google avatar

Hannah N.

Yelp
Great local made beer and food trucks? Count me in! I have driven past this place a hand full of times and finally took the time to stop in! I decided to play it safe and start off with the Plenty for All as it is one of my go to Pilsners and the so ended up trying the apricot sour called Idle Hands because this fall heat and San Diego called for a refreshing drink! The atmosphere is really cool and inviting seems like a popular spot to come try some beers and enjoy whatever food truck is outside. There was a sushi truck while I was there that I didn't end up trying but from what I saw others ordering it looked great! Definitely looking forward to returning soon with more friends to enjoy!
google avatar

Karen A.

Yelp
Great beer and great vibes! I love coming with my dog because there's always other dogs that he socializes with lol. I definitely recommend the "rainbow in the dark" hazy ipa. Sooo good!
google avatar

Michelle F.

Yelp
Great brewery with great beer. I just dont get the dog thing. I'm personally allergic to dogs. Fall has signs on all the tables with DOG rules (about barking, and leashes, conduct...) etc... I would say if you dont have a dog and are allergic to dogs (like myself) try to go elsewhere and or if you dont plan to stay too long (we usually dont) then you're probably ok The beer is good, but good beer is everywhere??
google avatar

Kim S.

Yelp
Stopped by before dinner to sample their brews. The man enjoyed a German style lager and I had their lowest ABV (named Oh Yeah!). Great service from our bartender, Red, and he unexpectedly treated us since he and man have both served in the Armed Forces. Very kind gesture. Dog friendly both in and outside.
google avatar

Jose S.

Yelp
Service is great very knowledgeable and hospitable, beer menu is for anyone one looking for a light to a heavy beer. I recommend the 86'd or plenty for all this beer on a Saturday night and the breeze hitting you on the patio is on experience I love about this place. Beautiful art work on the wall ties it all together.

Mike R.

Yelp
Had a great time here. The beer is amazing. They have lots of choices. They have a taco truck right outside so you can get yourself a perfect meal for a perfect dinner. I would recommend to anybody who says beer enthusiast, Try this place out. It's an amazing experience. Glad it's there and we'll be going back again.
google avatar

Yelp
Okay. Just okay. I've tasted a lot of different beers and every brewery I've been to has at least one beer that piques my interest on their draft list. Fall Brewing fell short on that - tried their Mexican Lager and knew instantly it was not for me. I don't even remember what I ordered, but I only drank about one-quarter of it before handing it over to my husband to finish. This is an interesting location with lots of band/concert posters on the wall. Sitting adjacent to the brew vats was neat and a great concept. I can see where this location can get very crowded, as it's really not that large. Plan ahead if you want to be able to grab a stool. With all of the brewery options in this area, Fall was probably my least favorite. It was okay. Just okay.
google avatar

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Large selection of IPAs and a few other kinds of beers. Friendly atmosphere, there is a food truck and you can bring in outside food. Gets very busy on the weekends.
google avatar

Oshi J.

Yelp
Fall Brewing Company has an awesome selection of beer. They had IPA, stouts, lagers, pilsners, pale ales and even seltzers. The past week the days have been hot and humid, and to beat the heat I highly recommend the Oh Yeah - it is light, refreshing and it's the best.
google avatar

Tim B.

Yelp
So I have never been to Fall and we are in San Diego all the time but I buddy recommend. Since he recommended I walked almost a mile from North Park to try them and almost ran at one point cause I saw the close at 10pm. I arrived at 9:45pm and was told I couldn't get a pint because they stopped selling at 9:40pm. I asked to speak to the manager since I just walked all the way from North Park and the person at the counter said I am the manager. She said I can only serve u cans. If the registers are open I know as a manager she could have . I have been served pints at other breweries past last call. I also don't see anything online about last call on the website. Might want to post there for out of town customers. I ended up going to Poor House next door to give them my business. I won't return to Fall even with my friends recommendation. They lost a future customer who just spent a lot of money at North Park and also hit Rouleur before walking to Fall. Plenty of other choices in San Diego. Haven't had Fall so won't know what I am missing now. Thanks but no thanks!!!!

Yelp
Fall Brewing is a must while in San Diego. It has that industrial feel and a front patio with an awesome rock n' roll mural. During these times, we had to pre-purchase a $5/person voucher for the food truck when ordering our drinks. They have A LOT of beer on tap. Many of them were hazy IPA's or unfiltered IPA's which are some of my favorites at the moment. But really, if you want something, I think they are bound to have it. I enjoyed everything I had in my flight and definitely put this brewery at the top of my list.
google avatar

Nolan S.

Yelp
Punk and ska flavored tap room in the North Park/ Normal Heights area. I have had their beers before but this was the first time I have stopped into the brewery. They sometimes have a food truck outside for eats. They are a dog friendly spot for people with friendly dogs. They have a good amount of beers on tap. Lively place. Check em out!
google avatar

Ris A.

Yelp
Love the theme and decor of the brewery. They have a great patio space. The beer gets the job done, but I wouldn't say its out of this world. The goo goo and the watermelon were probably my favorite out of the bunch that we tried. Great vibes and sense of humor about their dog protocols too. Definitely recommend taking a peek in here!
google avatar

Luigi C.

Yelp
Great drinks, awesome service , what more do you want? Dog friendly and outdoor seating.

Elisa P.

Yelp
Soooooo they're basically not dog friendly...hahaha they want your dog to be perfect and not make a peep. Plenty of other great dog friendly breweries around the area. I don't even have my dog with me and I feel uncomfortable coming back, because occasionally he does bark like a dog would...go where you're welcome.

Magdolen K.

Yelp
Great local brewery if you want a casual night out with good beer. Make sure to grab some pizza at the friendly down the street and post up here!
