"Without their main G train artery running, Greenpointers are lucky to have a constant influx of intriguing new spots like Falu House. The Scandinavian cafe and bakery has a pastry case of croissants and cardamom buns, but also deviled eggs with your choice of smoked salmon or trout roe, a Scandi breakfast box with all the fixins’ that you can add caviar to, and a shrimp toast sandwich." - will hartman

Usually, a cafe connected with a store might not be good.. BUT they r great and unique! Nice space to stay for a while, interesting drinks and housemade pastry. The only thing to murmur is that prices are slightly high. Cardamom latte was flavorful. It was super creamy and foamed. A little too-much buttery but I liked the saltiness. 💚🩷🍪The Swedish cookie looked too colorful but it was delicious. Highly recommended. Raspberry jam inside covered with marzipan on the top. Sweet but rich and tasty. ✨✨Cardamom bun I got the other day was great as well. It was moist and soft, a won’t-go-wrong option.

Excellent service! The barista made my matcha with extra care and made sure it was to my liking. My friend and I split a cardamom bun, which was divine. I would love to come back to try more of the food sometime. The cafe is in the furniture store (teak) so the interior was very cute and decorated well. I wish there were more places to sit in the cafe portion of the shop, but that’s my only complaint (which isn’t really a complaint).

Great coffee and strong. The Swedish cinnamon bun was basically a religious experience. It came out warm (maybe I got lucky with a fresh oven batch) and was a perfect fluffy, sweet and doughy bun for breakfast / coffee. I also came here for the Finnish salmon soup - it’s huge and delicious. My book club meets here once a month so I basically get to go regularly and have enjoyed it each time!

Absolutely love Falu House! It’s hands-down serving the best coffee in the city. Smooth, rich, and expertly brewed—every cup is perfection. The Scandinavian vibes are cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot to relax or catch up on work. Their pastries are next-level—think buttery cardamom buns, flaky cinnamon rolls, and delicate almond treats that taste just like something you'd find in Copenhagen or Stockholm. You can really tell they focus on quality and authenticity. Whether you're a coffee aficionado or just looking for a unique café experience, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend for anyone searching for top-tier coffee and Scandinavian pastries in NYC!

Cool Scandinavian house and homewares and furniture store with a little cafe. We tried the curry chicken sandwich and the whitefish sandwich. They were a bit bland, but pleasant enough. The make a nice cup of chai. The store has a lot of cool stuff to look at and buy. Great gift ideas.

Falu House is one of my go-to spots for a calm coffee moment in Williamsburg. I’ve tried the regular latte, almond latte, and matcha latte with almond milk—and each one has been consistently delicious. The space has that clean, minimal Scandinavian feel that instantly slows you down in the best way. I especially appreciate when the drinks are served in porcelain cups; it adds such a thoughtful, intentional touch to the experience. A few visits included paper cups, so just wanted to say how much I love the ceramic ones—they really match the peaceful vibe of the café. Beautiful space, great coffee, and a lovely break from the noise of the city.

I had the shrimp skagen on toast at Falu House, and it was absolutely delicious! The flavors were fresh and perfectly balanced, the dill finish was amazing. The staff, especially Emmy, are always so helpful and kind – they make every visit a treat. I also highly recommend trying their matcha with lavender for a unique twist, and you can’t go wrong with their cardamom bun for a sweet finish. Falu House consistently delivers on both food and service – a must-visit!

Incredible coffee and Swedish dishes in Greenpoint! The vibes are immaculate, and the staff is so welcoming. Spend your Saturday morning here sipping on amazing coffee and munching on the Scandi breakfast (my absolute favorite)!

Yelp
This is a great spot to stop for coffee, breakfast or a snack on the corner of Norman Avenue. Order at the counter and there's a few seats outside and some tables inside. The staff is friendly, the coffee is very good as are the breakfast pastries. They have a small range of breakfast and lunch/brunch items all with a Swedish slant and serve wine and beer. There's a small Swedish grocery section too. Prices are reasonable and it's a peaceful spot. Take a look around the fantastic Swedish lifestyle/ home wear store 'Teak' which is attached - think IKEA for millionaires!
