We stopped by Falu House on a whim today and were completely blown away. We got to meet Leah, who was an absolute delight and clearly an incredibly talented baker. We tried the cinnamon roll, cardamom bun, and orange-saffron bun. Each one was yumminess personified: airy, light, and decadent while letting the spice shine through. Easily the best Scandinavian-style buns I’ve had in NYC, and I’ve tried all the top ones!
The space feels nostalgic and calm. It immediately brought me back to my trip to Copenhagen, where people slow down for fika in cozy little bakeries. Falu House has that same relaxed, unpretentious charm. It’s bright, warm, and utterly hygge. A perfect spot to recharge and savor something special. Highly recommend!
