Fan Wu - Review - Repubblica - Milan - The Infatuation

"Fan Wu, named after ancient Daoist texts, blends graffiti, calligraphy, and calm interiors near Milan’s Central Station. The star of the menu is the qianlong cabbage—raw leaves dressed in the ancient “99311” recipe (nine parts vinegar, nine honey, three sesame paste, one sugar, one salt)—a timeless classic and elegant complement to the menu’s richer, spicier options. Spiraled century eggs with chili, delicately steamed clams stuffed with shrimp, and fresh morning glory round out the classics, while piatti particolari include steamed eggs with seafood sauce, duck blood tofu, and flower-cut kidney with leeks and chili." - Michael Zee

Excellent restaurant choice for us whilst visiting Milan (needed a break from Italian food 😊) we found this authentic gem serving up some great Chinese food in a nice restaurant for a good value for money. Food was fresh and tasty

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was spectacular—delicious, flavorful, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Everything we tried was excellent. The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel very welcome from start to finish. We truly enjoyed our visit and would happily come back again 👌✨✅

We only ordered take-out. The food is very satisfying. If one is missing some Asian fix, this is a good place. Price is reasonable. Service is fast and very friendly. The take-out boxes were properly and mindfully packed.

It was a little warm with poorer ventilation as we were seated at the corner. But the food is excellent and you need to visit and once is not enough. Prices are affordable and will come back again. Highly recommended! P.s. their "spicy" stuff is nowhere near as spicy as what you get in Asia, so don't be afraid to order them even if you don't enjoy spicy food.

My favourite Chinese restaurant in the central of Milano. The place is easy to find, M1 and M3, tram 1,5,10 and also bus. The furniture is chic and stylish. The food is very traditional chinese one, compared to other chinese restaurant, this one is more authentic. Also the service people are friendly. Highly recommended.

As a foreign student here in Milan, this is the best Asian food I’ve ever had in the city (not in china town) I would highly recommend this place if you’re going with family/friends. The price is very accessible and the quality of the food is excellent. Thank you!!

Very good quality of Chinese food! Am glad that I finally found one in Milan. It offers relaxing Chinese inspired decorations, which is an add on.
