Fantastic Donut

We loved the Donuts! They did a fantastic job with the designs and best part is that I sent over a special design for my son's school and they were able to make them. I was so happy when I saw them. I placed the order for pick up at 7:30am and they were ready when I got there. Personalized gifts are the best and they did not disappoint! Definitely will be placing future orders for family birthdays.

Fantastic Donuts has some of the most creative Donut art I’ve ever seen. I come far more often than I should. Potentially the most instagramable donuts in LA in my opinion. The donuts themselves are great, a solid tasting donut, though very standard flavors and types. I would come here for an amazingly cute good traditional donut and stick with your trendier LA donut shops for your ube cereal donuts.

Love coming here for morning coffee and donut. They also have costum made donuts that I get for special occasions.

I drive an hour just to get these custom donuts, first for my wedding and now for a baby shower! They're adorable and best of all tasty.

As someone who is not a big fan of donuts in general, Fantastic Donuts and Croissants exceeded my expectations. After stopping by to try their chocolate twist donut, I reached out for a price quote on a customized set of donuts. Lily responded in a timely fashion and was patient in answering questions I had. She is very creative and talented. It is evident that lots of time is put into designing these donuts. I had ideas of what I wanted and Lily was able to bring it to life without any photos! The donuts I ordered were wonderful and looked too good to eat. Friendly service and the donuts tasted as amazing they looked! Will definitely return and continue to recommend this donut shop to friends and family to check out. Can't wait to come back and order more customized donuts!

I love fantastic donuts! It's a mom and pops donut shop that has been in LA for YEARS, but started getting recognized for character decorated donuts made by the owner's daughter, Lily. She does custom designs as well as occasionally themed events. It's an unassuming humble place, without the pretentiousness of many stores in LA. The donuts have just the right amount of sweetness and they always taste fresh. You can make custom orders by emailing them. All info is available through their website, which can be found on their ig page, fantasticdonuts. Their regular donuts are very good as well! They are open 24 hours a day! Can't beat that. They are cash only so please prepare cash beforehand.

Great service and nice folks working here! I placed a special order and they were responsive and got the theme that I wanted perfectly. When I showed up my order was ready. The shopping center had plenty of parking.

Absolutely adorable This gem family owned business is absolutely amazing. The love and care they put into their craft is out of this world. I reached out to the owner because I had a big event that needed some extraaaaa cuteness. They really came through for my event. I asked for an assortment of giant to mini donuts and showed them my theme and vision for what I wanted and it came out wayyyyy better than what I had imagined. Each little donut had so much detail, I don't know how they do it, but it was so cuteeeee! They really put so much love and effort into each piece, I'm so glad I found this gem. Everyone at the event was raving about how cute the donuts were and for many it was the highlight of the dessert table. It definitely brought the whole event together. I will definitely be reaching out for the next event big or small.

Definitely the best place to go to for customized donuts/donut holes, filled and non-filled. The owner is so talented and really puts time and effort to designing her donuts! Follow their IG and you'll be blown away by how many different designs they put together. If you are looking for specialty/customized donuts, please place your orders in advance as Lily is swapped with many orders. Best way to contact is via email. The owner of the place was so nice and patient while we were trying to figure out what to get. He was happy to help with everything! The parking situation wasnt bad but it was late so not sure how it would be during the day!

The cutest customizable donut shop! I ordered these Robocar Poli donuts for my son's birthday. Sent them a few photos and they were able to execute so beautifully. Best part is how responsive and easy the process was and the prices! They were delicious and everyone enjoyed them. Will definitely be returning.

Lily is a superwoman and her donut shop should get all the Yelp fanfare it deserves!! If you're looking for customizable tasty donuts at a reasonable price for amazing artwork, look no further. I searched all of Yelp and Instagram for my partner's birthday and found Fantastic Donuts just in the nick of time. Lily was very responsive, helped me work with my budget, and laid out prices clearly for different donut options. She was very transparent and made the process so streamlined, which I greatly appreciated. I ended up going for a bunch of donut holes and a few giant donuts all themed as Lord of the Rings. Each of the donut holes had an adorable icon related to the series, and the bigger donuts said Happy Birthday messages and other full messages! Pick up was very easy because Lily and I texted to coordinate times. The donuts looked incredible and made my partner and I both over the moon when I revealed the surprise. Everyone we shared the donuts with loved them as well.

Lily's cute animal donuts caught my eye in a post on Instagram and I just had to have them! I messaged her about purchasing a box of donuts for my son's birthday and she immediately responded. Communication with her went very smooth. I found her very easy to work with. It IS recommended that you order custom donuts a few weeks ahead of time, as she does get very busy. I selected a date that we would be taking a trip up to LA, as we are not from there, to pick up the donuts. As we arrived, there was a Mexican street market on the sidewalk and there definitely was no social distancing and parking was a little difficult, but we managed to find a spot with the help of a parking attendant. Lily did ask for a little more time as she did her finishing touches and that was no problem. As I was waiting, several customers walked in and asked about the animal donuts. The friendly man behind the counter (who I assume was Lily's father) informed the customers that the donuts were special order. So if you drive out and are expecting specialty donuts, unless they mention that they have some available that day, you'll be disappointed. Anyway, a few minutes later, Lily came out and handed me the box of donuts. They were perfect and very detailed! Not only that, they were surprisingly delicious. Very happy with how the donuts turned out, but I don't know if I'd go out of my way to purchase them again. If you live in the area, definitely support them.

We ordered 3 dozens of the Bear donuts and over 100 Bear donut holes for my daughter's birthday and it was a hit! They make the cutest designs and the donuts tasted amazing. Everyone loved it. I am definitely return for future custom orders.

One of my last reviews of the year needs to go to this mom & pop shop. This review is super overdue... I've ordered the donut holes in the past for birthdays and showers. They're the perfect size for little kids and people to snack on. A tad on the sweeter side since I'm not typically a donut fan, but they are perfectly cute! The special donut holes have to be preordered ahead of time so you can't just walk in and demand the "holes". So anyway, our unit wanted to thank our fellow fire and police departments and hopefully cheer them up with some tasty food mid-pandemic many months ago. So as the designated "food person", I collected some $$$$ and went off to find the perfect food. We decided on vietnamese egg rolls and this donut place. I reached out online and Lily the "donut maker & designer" responded. Not only was she able to design the donut holes exactly as I wanted for the 4 different departments, she offered some baked goods donations from her and many other members of the local community to add in --even though my community was totally not local to theirs...so anyway a million emails back and forth later, we agreed on the price and amount. Everything was nicely packed and arranged when I picked up. My unit got our own donut donation along with PD and fire...I can say, everyone really appreciated it! Thanks again Fantastic Donuts~

Donuts were fresh, delicious and fluffy!! I came here for the designed donuts and didn't know you have to place an order for them ahead of time. So don't forget to call ahead of you want the designed donuts. But of course their regular donuts were just as delicious and again super fluffy.

Most recent visit: April 2, 2021 I LOVE Donuts and stumbled across this establishment a couple years back. I saw their donuts mentioned on instagram and decided to check them out. The designer Lily, and her dad mainly operate the store front and kitchen. Located in a little plaza on Vermont, lies this mom and pop shop. Unfortunately there are a bunch of mini vendors located along the street so parking and getting in/out become difficult at times. They do have a parking lot as it is a plaza but it's very cramped and small. Along their own storefront they have parking but it's only 10 minute parking, so good enough to park, grab a donut and coffee and be on your way. I love that their donuts are so cute and freshly made everyday. They also used to be 24/7 which is also amazing. (new hours per covid). I've ordered Lily's custom donuts multiple times now, first time was for my friend's baby shower, second was for my sister's birthday and now for my very own baby shower. All of her donuts are designed with love and you can tell she takes her art work very seriously. I personally love the donut holes filled with cream filling! Those are the hubs and I's favorite! I've also had her normal donuts and they are also delicious! Very detailed in design and the donut itself is not overly sweet or plain. I highly recommend you stop by if you're into cute donuts or in the area! Also greatly priced! Other donut stores are charging 4$+ for their design donuts but they have theirs starting at only 2.50$!! What a steal! They also except credit cards (up until 10PM, then its cash only). At the moment they have set up a sheet divider to cover the inside of the kitchen to the outside for more protection. Thank you again Lily for the great hospitality! ;)

What's better than donuts?! CUTE CUSTOM DONUTS DUHH!!!! So Fantastic donuts was highly recommended by some of my friends who have ordered from them before. I looked at their Instagram and was blown away!!! You can tell they really put time and care to their work. In order to place a custom order you must email them and be as detailed as possible. I sent them links to some of the donuts they have done and told them some of my own ideas and BAM!!! They were so quick to respond, confirmed what i was asking and they included their own input as well. The pricing was very reasonable. With tax and tip it cake out to $45. I would definitely order from them again. My niece was so happy and she said they were really good and tasted fresh. I did order myself some donut holes. 6 donut holes for 60 cents! And they are so addicting!!! Good thing i didn't get the full dozen Just as i was leaving a lot of cops were pulling in. What a coincidence huh? Anyways! Everyone was so nice as well, i love supporting family owned businesses. I will update my review again because I am actually placing another order soon

Worked a long day and stopped to get a few donuts on the way home. Night shift was rude and only served me one donut when I'd ordered three. Ordered my first two and inquired about a third. They were out of particular one I had wanted so I made one more selection and asked how much. In an angry tone the employee said $1.45. While I pulled out my cash I asked if it was for all three and he said "no, just the one." and proceeded to bag the single donut and all but throw it at the window counter making it clear he'd decided I was only getting one of the three even though he'd already set the first two off to the side when i ordered them. I'll be taking my business to California donut around the corner from now on.

AHHHHHMAZING! the donuts here are super cute and super affordable! i placed a pre-order with Lily via email a week prior to my daughter's birthday party. the email correspondence was great. Lily emails very clear and to the point. the whole transaction didn't take too much back and forth. i was hesitant on how the donuts would turn out because i did not see any samples of hello kitty or Eiffel tower themed donuts BUTTTTTT OMG, my donuts turned out AHHHHHMAZING! hello kitty donut holes looked adorable and spot on (not all bootleg)! and the Eiffel tower detail was clean and classy! everyone at the party marveled over how adorable the donuts were and i could not stop taking pictures of how perfectly they matched my theme. will definitely look for more opportunities to order more cusdonuts!

I've ordered custom donuts from this place and haven't had a single bad experience. Lily is works alone and is very attentive to detail, she'll try to get back to your emails in a timely manner and all the designs were flawless. The most recent was an order of 200 donut holes to match a baby shower that was themed enchanted forest. I provided the color scheme and ideas we had for the baby shower and when I picked up the donuts it was everything we asked for. I'm definitely going to be ordering from them again and can't wait to put in my next order for an event already! Also the donut holes are absolutely delicious!! We got the filled donut holes and the fillings are amazing, I personally like the raspberry jelly filling the best! I'd recommend putting in the custom order a week or at least 3 days in advance so it gives you and this place time to work out the little details.

Love their donuts! They are not only cute but very tasty too. I would make the drive to this busy area of Los Angeles just to get their donuts.

I've ordered from this place several times now. Last time was for a baby shower. We got these donuts instead of having a baby shower cake and everyone loved them. I requested donuts with baby faces, words like "it's a girl" and "little princess" It was a big hit. The parents were happy, the guests were impressed and the donuts were yummy. They have never disappointed me and I will continue to order from them.

The donut holes are so cute. I have ordered several designs from this place. The price is good. The baker communicates well and responds on time. The baker also executed the designs well. It exceeded our expectations. I will keep ordering from this place.

About a 3.5: Fantastic Donuts and Croissants is a 24/7 donut shop that offers coffee, classic donuts (including twists, raised, long johns, cake, muffins, bavarian-cream filled, raspberry jelly-filled, cinnamon rolls, apple fritters, bear claws, etc.), ice cream, as well as their specialty - the cute animal/seasonal decorated donuts! I was super excited to get some of their animal donuts, so the hubs and I came here a couple close to their opening time. Even though they have the specialty donuts available later in the day, the kind owner had three made for me earlier! I got 1 baby chick, a pig, and a cow - they were all so cutely decorated :P The donuts themselves were fine - they were yeast donuts with a little bit of raspberry jam filling. They weren't stale, so that was good! I can see how these donuts are a huge hit for birthdays and other special occasions. If you check out their social media, you can see that they do a combination of the donuts and the donut holes. There's limited seating, but most seem to take their box of donuts and coffee to go. Really bad customer service and mediocre donuts. The owner/worker was taking a break outside when I walked in and decided to come in to assist me maybe 5 minutes after I was in the shop. He also had a hard time picking up the donuts for some reason and couldn't even close the box, so I had to do it for him. The donuts themselves were also nothing to rave about. Yes they are cute, but my friends all said that they were way too sweet. The regular donuts are subpar as well. Go get your donuts somewhere else!

I have commissioned three more custom orders from Fantastic Donuts since my last review, and they have never failed to be a hit. My friends and family are always impressed with the amount of detail Lily is able to put on the donuts, and we honestly feel a little bit bad eating them because they're so nice to look at (but, man, are they tasty). Lily always makes the ordering process super easy, and I cannot say enough about what a lovely person she is. I'm looking forward to the next excuse I have to order some more custom donuts!

I am sorry I had to give 3 stars. I had to throw away 1 donut, the one with chocolate glaze and sprinkles. The bear blueberry was not good either. Both had "chemical" smell and flavor to it which I do not like. They were too sweet for me also. The other ones like the chocolate bear and the marshmellow was okay. Bearable. Haha. But I cannot give this place more than 3 stars :( good thing it is 24 hours.

Went in for the cute donuts and the experience was better than expected. The owner (I think he's the owner) was super nice in answering all of our questions and was really sweet in giving my group and I complimentary cute donut holes! The donut frosting is very flavorful. Orange is orange flavor, yellow is banana, pink is strawberry, blue is blueberry... yeah, lots of donut options! May not be my most favorite donuts ever, but I the customer service and the cute donuts are what made my experience a good one :)

There is nothing special about this place other than being a regular donut store. However, they do make some cute decorated donuts that appeal to people. The donuts are basically plain or jelly/creme filled donuts with glaze that are decorated as animals. I admit the decoration is very creative and great for pictures but nothing more than that. The price for the donuts is slightly higher than they would normally charge but it less than you would pay at other places like California donuts or DK donuts. The older gentleman (not sure if he was the owner) that helped us was very nice and had a sense of humor.

I am a loser for cute food and Fantastic Donuts & croissants did not disappoint. I was staying in in K-town and while in LA and naturally checked out on Yelp local joints to check out and Fantastic donuts came up. The donut shop is located in a small plaza with a shared parking lot. On the day of my visit I had no problem finding a parking spot but then again I came in late (past 9pm) and most of the business were closed. But I can definitly see the lot being a problem during peak business hours. I personally wish the donuts tasted as good as they looked cute but they did fall short in the taste department but seriously they are so stinking cute I was willing to put the taste on the back burner. Price wise it doesn't break your bank if you get one or two but one simply doesn't just pick one or two cute donuts...it add up. Personally I doubt I will be returning but it is worth checking out!

Not bad. The jalapeño ham and cheese croissant was okay, not much meat or cheese and barely any jalapeño. The apple fritter was pretty good and crispy, but lacked much apple chunks inside. Custard filled chocolate donut was weird. I would come back, but probably would go to the other famous donut shops in the area first. Careful, one of the ramps into the parking lot has one way spikes that'll tear your tires up coming in. Not sure why since the other side is a normal in and out.

The cutest donuts you'll probably ever see in LA! I got the creme and jelly filled donuts, and the iconic bear donuts. I love how the animal faces' are very detailed, makes it a whole lot cuter and fun. The person who decorates the donuts must be very patient and skilled! Come here for cute looking donuts but dont expect much else. They're still your classic tasting donuts. Also the person behind the counter was very kind and helpful, thank you sir!

Stopped by for a coffee and to see those adorable animal donuts. THE AMBIANCE: Small, 24 hour 7 days a week donut shop. About 5 booth/tables. THE COFFEE + BREAD: The coffee was actually pretty good. I added a bit of non-dairy cream and sugar. I usually drink my coffee black, but I was in the mood. I ordered a mini animal donut hole and a croissant (pretty big). Both were good. The crosissant was tasty and not stale. THE TIPS: They take orders for parties (See photo I snagged from an order. Very cute).

I'm in ktown often and had some time to kill and Fantastic Donuts popped up on Yelp. I happened to be close by and thought why not treat the fam for some donuts. What really caught my eye was their cute donuts. I'm sure most of us who come here want to get our hands on these cuties and so I did. I got some filled and non filled animals, chocolate marshmallow and blueberry cake. I went into the blueberry cake first and that thing is sweet! I know donuts are a dessert but damn, so sweet. I've tried the cute donuts and I thought they were ok. They were stale but I got them later in the day, could be better if I got them earlier. I don't hate them or love them I think they're ok at best. They are more of a SNS destination then a quality eats spot imo.

Great spot for people of all ages!! This donut shop is small and the interior is a bit run-down, however the donuts are amazing. There is indoor seating available. So adorable, tasty, and affordable!! The employee/owner/cashier person (not sure what to call them but was an older Asian man) was so friendly and greets everyone with a smile. I took a minute to decide which donuts I wanted and he waited very patiently. When reaching for the flavors/designs I asked for, he also picked the best ones without any tiny blemishes without even being asked. There are a million photos of all the different designs they can do, however their regular rotation is about maybe 10 different animal ones, so if you want a particular one you should order in advance. But the ones in their regular rotation are also super cute!! There is a small, free parking lot. Absolutely recommend, 10/10

I've placed orders from Fantastic Donuts a few times. I love that it's open 24/7 and you're able to pick it up at anytime. I've never had a problem placing an order, everything comes out exactly how I ask! There's a pricing list posted on their website with the frosting colors, filling and character designs. They respond to your emails very quick. The donuts are super cute, and the recipient is always happy with the donuts. I will definitely come back for future birthdays.

This place looks like your traditional donut shop from the outside but once you go inside there's a section with these amazing donuts. They're regular donuts topped with a flavored type of frosting designed like cute little pets. Aside from them looking adorable they're actually pretty good. You must try the oreo donuts with a cream filling. This place is inside a plaza that has parking. Cash only! There's an ATM machine inside if needed.

OPEN 24/7 - 365 Days! - CASH ONLY Located in a small shabby plaza right across the Wilshire Police station, this place is a total GEM!!!! Outside looks like a typical donut spot but has the most cutest donuts EVER! They do run out of the Penguin so get em early!! Really cute donuts! Definitely give it a try.. + loved all the awesome options they had + was surprised to see the mini decorated donuts - so cute!! + part of a strip mall so there's parking! - flavor/taste wasn't the best - my icing kept falling off the donut Donut as a whole wasn't bad but I wouldn't say it's the highest quality (definitely not as good as California donuts) but worth a try + you'll get cute pics for sure lol

Great customer service!!! Lily is absolutely wonderful to talk to, and gets the job done seamlessly. I mentioned to lily that I was throwing my daughter a "gold and pink princess" themed party, and she asked me to email her so she can reply back with some new designs she just came up with!! The donuts were PERFECT!! Some had my daughters name on them (Monroe) crowns, princesses etc. (see photo) Highly recommend! They will be a hit at any party, and you will look great for having such creative donuts! #yourewelcome

The donut shop did a great job when I requested them to do Stitch from Lilo and Stitch. It was really cute; I would say though if you want to get donuts that look like special characters; order ahead of time and also if there isn't a character that has been done before, you can always request them to see if they can

I love their donuts. Lily did such a great job with decorating the donut holes with various animals. I cannot believe she charge such a affordable price for them and very accommodating. She is very professional. Very easy to order thru email. All the kids were excited and thrilled to see and eat them.
