Fantasy Tacos

Shout to fantasy tacos and Mr Chimetime who did reviews of many New Orleans restaurants. I saw how the birria pizza looked which Fantasy Tacos calls their pizzadilla and I knew I had to get it. Drove an hour and a half with the wife to try the food and was not disappointed. Friendly and helpful staff, portions were a good size, and the food was delicious. Wish there was a location in Baton Rouge!

Uptown location! Minnie is an amazing server. The food was amazing and she was so nice and accommodating. Food came out quickly. They do not disappoint! 10/10

Ordered several times, the tacos were excellent, but the last two orders were not so good.. my birra tacos on this last ordered was burnt and not so tasty. I tried the uptown location, I wanted to give it another try, because I know when they first open on the westbank the food was excellent. Waited an hour for oyster just to received them overcooked and dry, looks like they have all been eaten already because the oysters are overcooked.

I visited NOLA last week and found this place on Yelp. I had the French fries with catfish and shrimp. My dish did not disappoint. My sister had the jek tacos, and she loved them. My cousin had the steak tacos, and she couldn't stop talking about how good they were. Don't hesitate order a plate. Oh, and don't forget the pineapple lemonade.

Amazing food and energy! Customer service was amazing. The lady who took my order was so sweet and gave great recommendations.

Best birria tacos I've ever had! And that consumé?? I've been dreaming about it. This was exactly the type of comfort food we needed this day.

The food flavors are very excellent and I was glad I tried this taco joint. I got the steak tacos with Mac cheese. I know it sounds a little odd but that is my favorite side. I think Mac and cheese improves everything kinda like bacon but creamier. The main dish the Fantasy Steak taco is the most popular, now I know why, the first bite had me admiring the flavors the chef included for this taco, herbs,cheese with seasoned steak and onions, this is a nicely balanced bite and I enjoyed the taco very much. They have chicken and fish tacos options and other things like the seafood fries are other favorites. I recommend Fantasy tacos, it is food that is unique to me a I believe you will also enjoy what ever you order. The service is great, be patient some customers take a while to decide and they offer tastes of the different frozen margaritas before you order. I will return to try the seafood fries and some other menu items like the ramen it sounded wonderful.

Lawd hammercy! Been wanting to try this spot for a while after learning they now had a restaurant. I used to see the food truck in the parking lot of a Vietnamese store but never thought to try them. Found the restaurant a little past the Sam's Club on Gretna. The restaurant is a decent size with music playing, large enough for 20+ people. I wasn't greeted as I entered the restaurant but it was still a good experience. I ordered the birria tacos and seafood fries, the jerk chicken tacos for my brother. Babyyyyy, when I tell you, the food almost didn't make it to Marrero! The pictures I saw on FB matches what I ordered; presentation is everything! I didn't care for the green sauce that comes with the tacos nor the cream sauce on the seafood fries, but that didn't stop me from devouring it. The birria tacos are my favorite: can't go wrong with meat and cheese. The seafood fries came with one fried catfish and several fried shrimp. Definitely worth the money. I'm planning on going back real soon.

After seeing the taco truck many times but never seeing it open I was pleased to come across an IG post saying they now have a restaurant. I've been waiting so long to taste these tacos and they did not disappoint!! The young lady that took our order was very nice to explain my many questions prior to placing my order. I'm a spice whimp and never chance getting foods too spicy to enjoy. While waiting for my food I snapped a pic of their cute photo prop and found an open table. It took 12 minutes for the food to arrive at the table and it was hot and fresh! I had the Baja fish tacos and that pickle cabbage is chefs kiss! I'll be back to try a few other options of the menu.

I ordered on DoorDash and came to pick it up after about 30 minutes but it wasn't ready, had to wait &it took soooo long? It was like an hour since I ordered and I wondered how it took that long to make tacos, I almost vowed never to come here again. However, the tacos were so good & I loved the bbq cauliflower, it was really good so I'll probably be back. Hopefully it doesn't take as long again. The place is cute & it had some good r&b music playing so that was a plus for the wait ig.

So the wait was worth it!! I've eaten here twice in the past two months, once for takeout and once dining in. Both times, I had a bit of a wait but the food was fresh and hot so I didn't care. The ranch fries were so good and the tacos were great as well. Well seasoned and flavorful and honestly I couldn't even finish all 3 tacos. They aren't skimpy at all. The place itself is cute and has one of those grass walls that everyone is into. It was quiet when we went the second time and there's a cute sweet shop in the same place so you can grab dessert too.

Good portions . The margaritas are OK. The steak quesadillas and Birria egg rolls ($8) are really filling and flavorful

This place was really cool. The decor is obviously very Instagram worthy. The service was quite good. The tacos were good as was the queso. The drinks were tasty as well. Overall, really can't complain. It's a little out of the way for us, but would definitely consider coming back, especially to get some of the happy hour specials we missed out on!

Fantasy tacos has wonderful food! The salads are huge and have tons of meat, the jerk chicken salad is my favorite. I didn't try the seafood fries or the Birria, but my friend said they were excellent as well. I look forward to eating here again!

If it's on the westbank you know I'm going to have to check it out! Now let's get into it! After looking over the menu, I was so torn between the seafood loaded fries or the steak tacos but ultimately chose the tacos. Because you can't go to fantasy tacos without trying their fantasy tacos! Y'all... I made the right choice! The steak tacos were so good and flavorful! We also appreciated the convenience of the Togo containers being easily accessible in the back. Though, I didn't use any since I killed all three of my tacos! Of course we tried the cocktails. We got the jolly rancher. The drinks were just the way I like them --not too overly sweet and strong! Y'all I can't wait until I go back. Go give them a try!

The food is beyond good! The food has sauce, wonderfully seasoned, the margaritas are strong and in point! The place is def a hike in the wall but they made it look cute and play some great music so it's def a vibe! I wish they were open later that's my only complaint! Lol

Flavor is phenomenal! Very consistent I ate there 5 times! Jerk chicken taco is my favorite.

Great food, awesome service, and awesome portion sizes! I love this spot. The quesadillas are so flavorful and stuffed with meat. This beats any other taco or Mexican spot to be honest. It was hot, fresh, flavorful and made to order. It gets no better! Ready to try the nachos next

This place will be the death of me yet! Food is amazing and the atmosphere is great. Be prepared to wait. It's always busy.

FOOD WAS EXCELLENTTT. As for atmosphere, don't recommend dining in. Tables weren't cleaned, no napkins etc.

Came across this taco truck while it was parked in front of 88 Farmers Market and decided to give it a try. I got the jerk chicken tacos and birria tacos. Nice portions. My fav was the jerk chicken. The flavor was so good. I love the pineapple salsa on it. The gentleman that took my order was friendly. He mention that they will be opening a brick and mortar store soon. Follow them on instagram to know where they will be located daily.

Great customer service from when I first came in. Food is always consistently good and the cakes in there are very delicious. Wish they had better drink selections but the food and great customer service made up for that.

Recently visited this place out of curiosity due to its catchy name and pink color sign, to our surprise the tacos tasted very good. Still don't get the fantasy of its name at all, lol! Unfortunately, the restaurant floors and empty table were not very clean. Now days lots of restaurant fail in NOT having someone in charge of regularly picking up tables, cleaning tables, and sweeping the floors, what's up with that? The swinging doors to the kitchen were unbelivable dirty and need of fresh coat of paint. Surprised that the Jefferson Parish Sanitarian Service led them slide on this? The health score card is 92 according to the website which is very good. So the kitchen likely fares better. Although the place is poorly lit, the place has a selfie stage that people seem to love. All in all, the tacos were good, but I think I will take my chances and do take out next time. Final note, within the business, there is a lady that sells cakes which are super delicious. If you go to this restaurant make sure to buy a piece of cake, they are super delicious!!

Horrible experience. The female at the front counter was unpleasant and had a attitude nasty attitude. The floors were slippery from grease. We looked past this in attempt to support a local business. My family ordered the Pizzadilla. The menu describes this as a "10" 3 layer pizza mozzarella cheese, birria meat, onions, cilantro, smoked hot sausage Pico de Gallo. Served with cup of birrira broth." When we received our order, it was topped with a sauce that is not listed on the menu or receipt. I told the server that the sauce wasn't listed on the menu description of the pizzadillia, and I requested my order be prepared w/o the sauce. Shortly after, a man came to my table holding the pizzadilla and asked what was the problem with the order. I explained the issue. The man walked away and held a loud conversation with a woman about my explanation. I assume the woman was the owner or manager. She had a nasty attitude as well. The woman walked back to my table with the pizzadilla and told me that the order could not be fixed nor would I be refunded. I explained to her that the sauce was not mentioned on the order. She started a back and forth with me about how I "Don't even know what's in the sauce." that they were "Not changing nothin or issuing a refund." The food was returned to the kitchen. I was not issued a return.

Fantasy Tacos was the fantasy I didn't even know I needed in my life!! We went to the new store on Gretna Blvd., and it did not disappoint!! Literally everything we had was great. We got the shrimp quesadilla, jerk chicken tacos, KFC tacos, steak tacos and birria tacos...and and these fried chicken wings with Verdi sauce!! The tacos had so much protein, and the flavors were complex and divine!! It's very rare I go to a restaurant for the first time and everything I get is absolutely delicious!! I will definitely be back really soon. My only critique would be the wait time... It took quite a while for the food to come out, but honestly it was so good, that it made me forgive the wait. Go try some of these now!!!

Very flavorful, you won't be disappointed. Great service as well. They were renovating so I couldn't eat in. I'm looking forward to going back so I can sit ,eat more, and drink.

Wow can't even begin to say how much I enjoyed these tacos. I got t a shrimp, steak and jerk chicken taco from Gretna fest and honestly can't decide which one I like the best. So delicious and such friendly people who work there, family owned (which I appreciate even more). I will go back and make sure to spread the word. Keep up the great work!

Everything was spot on delicious! The bbq cauliflower is a must, and OMG the seafood loaded fries are insanely amazing! I'm going back until I've had one of every single thing on the menu. The customer service and hospitality it TOP TIER!
