The 16 Best Chicken Wings In Miami - Miami - The Infatuation

"Far Out Pizza is a retro slice shop in the epicenter of Calle Ocho that makes good pizza. But you shouldn’t only be eating pizza here, because their other menu items are even better. For example: the wings. These are fried to tender perfection, but the house buffalo sauce is really why they’re on this guide. It’s so good, super buttery, and has enough heat to make your lips tingle for 20 minutes.  " - Ryan Pfeffer, Virginia Otazo

Far Out Pizza - Review - Little Havana - Miami - The Infatuation

"Far Out Pizza is a slice shop in the epicenter of Calle Ocho that makes pizza we thoroughly enjoy—but the best things here aren’t actually pizza. That honor goes to Far Out’s sandwiches, a handful of thick options that range from a saucy eggplant parm to the delicious (and lawyer-approved) riff on a Publix sub they call the “public sub.” All that—plus buttery buffalo wings, crispy mozzarella sticks, and good salads—are more than enough reason to walk into the retro space. Far Out also happens to be next door to (and run by the same team as) Union Beer Store, one of our favorite bars in Miami. So you can spend a Saturday night carrying pepperoni pizza and Italian subs back and forth between the two like a hardworking ant. Food Rundown photo credit: Cleveland Jennings / @eatthecanvasllc Public Sub This is our favorite sandwich here. It comes with fried chicken, a house sauce, lettuce, tomato, and—yes—it is 1,000% better than that other version you can find at Florida’s favorite grocery store. photo credit: Cleveland Jennings / @eatthecanvasllc Italian Hoagie If meat is your favorite part of an Italian sub, you'll like this. They really don't wimp out on the ratios of mortadella, salami, and capicola. Or use so much dressing that it turns into a drippy mess when you take a bite, which we (and our shirts) appreciate. photo credit: Cleveland Jennings / @eatthecanvasllc Chicken Wings These wings are fried to tender perfection. You can get them with ranch, but the house buffalo sauce is pretty incredible. It’s super buttery, and has enough heat to make your lips tingle for the next 20 minutes. photo credit: Cleveland Jennings / @eatthecanvasllc White Hot Heat All the slices here are solid, so go with whichever one behind the plexiglass you feel the most pizza chemistry with. For us, that’s the white hot heat with garlic oil, globs of ricotta, jalapeño slices, and red pepper flakes. There's a small kick, but it's not stupidly spicy—and it goes great with a beer in case you're walking this over to Union." - Ryan Pfeffer

My boyfriend and I absolutely love this place! We just moved to over to the area and stumbled upon Far Out Pizza on UberEats. We've only ever order delivery through the app but it is by far the best pizza we've had in a while! Everything from the toasted pepperoni on the pizza, the perfectly baked crust, and don't even get me started on the RANCH!! The 3/3 times we've ordered everything has been a hit. At this point we need to meet the people behind the pizza, and the fellow reviews convinced us. The ambiance of the shop sounds insane and we have to see that for ourselves! Thank you Far Out!

Google
Best pizza ever. If you are in Miami, you HAVE to try this out. It’s not only the taste and beauty of the pizzas, but the service and atmosphere.

Google
Best new pizza joint in town. Pair it up with a beer next door at Union Beer store and feel like the uktimate local. (They deliver food next door!). But don't only think it's for pizza, the chef in the back is making everything from wings, to Pub Subs, to whatever new creation he can think of. Great Local Vibe and even better taste. I'll be a regular here.

This is my new favorite pizza restaurant…I have been ordering at lest 1-2 times a week …the crust is thin and crispy…pepperoni is cupped and flavorful…and they done skip on the cheese…definitely one of the best pizzas out here in Miami

Recently opened where the old 8 Burger joint used to be and next to Union Beer, whose owners are the ones opening this place, we now have a new pizza joint in Calle Ocho. One of my colleagues went and loved it especially the Ocho slice with a garlic sauce, and topped with ham, onions, and a lime to squeeze, yes you read correctly, a lime wedge. Apparently the lime adds a very unique flavor when mixed with the garlic sauce. Went with a friend and sure enough, this is a very unique blend of flavors and one that sets this little place apart. I opted for the pepperoni and it was one of the better pepperoni slices I’ve had in town, not the best by any means. I also tried the meat lovers and this was a better slice for me. The ingredient that makes it different in a good way and adds some acidity to the slice are the yellow peppers. Perhaps this would be my go to next time. They have some pies sitting in a glass case until you order and then it’s placed and heated in the oven. Not sure if that’s always the case but I usually prefer seeing it made from scratch, you know, like tossing the dough, spreading the sauce, adding some cheese and toppings and then seeing go into the fire but that wasn’t the case here, unfortunately. It’s a decent slice of pizza and I’d say maybe and only maybe the Ocho and meat lovers slices would be the only reason to come back, just my opinion. Service was great and prices are adequate for area and portions.

Google
Great experience all around. Very well priced. Had a slice of White Hot Heat and a slice of Meat Lovers. The dough was baked perfectly.

Didn't dine in, but I purchased some pizza dough to make at home. The service was great, super friendly staff. The process a of making the pizza was fun and challenging! Would definitely do it again and visit this pizza joint again. The gentleman that explained the storing process of the pizza was very knowledgeable that helped a lot.

Google
Pizza is solid! For the Ninja Turtles arcade game on site but service was quick so couldn’t get through first stage. What I really enjoy is that you can chill next door at Union Bar, drink some fantastic beer and have the pizza from Far Out. Love the way the owners lean into the Ninja Turtles vibe as well as the other references to iconic and nostalgic pizza scenes. Definitely worth the visit with Union bar as strong pairing.

Yelp
Really love this place especially after walking in and seeing all their photos on the wall. Came here to have some lunch with a friend and my kids. Was not expecting much on this eighth Street pizzeria. Walked in, and there was plenty of seating, put some tables together, and we sat down. I ended up getting a little bit of everything just to try. My kids wanted the cheese pizza. My oldest child wanted mushroom pizza. I personally wanted to try the Miami Heat. All the pizzas were delicious! I really believe breading makes amazing pizza. Their bread was actually outstanding. I also ended up getting the garlic bread, mozzarella sticks, and wings. The wings are deep fried. They were crispy and they were delicious. The mozzarella sticks were also really good. The breading tasted homemade. It was actually very good. Javier was the guy in the counter and let's just say he was the sweetest! That guy rocks and he made the pizza in front of us from scratch. He was amazing and whoever owns this place should definitely give him kudos. He knows everything about the pizza and his customer service is outstanding. I would definitely come back just to have another slice or two.

Yelp
Any time we walk down calle ocho, we always hit here and Union beer store. Their pizza never misses with a cold pint. They will also deliver it to you if you are next door! The employees are kind and helpful. We want to try more of the menu next time.

Yelp
Far out Pizza, dudes!!!! I love that the walls are adorned with favorite movie scenes that involve pizza. From Home Alone to Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles, Genius! Speaking of TMNT, they have an arcade machine in the back where you can actually play! The pizza was so so good. I have to try the wings. I heard they are Stellar. Stop on in have some slices or a pie and then walk to Azucar next door for some icecream. Sounds like a perfect date or Sunday afternoon in Little Havana.

Yelp
I love the 90's vibes. It reminds me of an old Pizza Hut interior in the best way. As for the food, don't just stick the pizza. The Public Sub was the best thing I had there. They're generous with the chicken, and the chicken is delicious. As for the pizza, they have lots of different pies. I like that you can order by slice. I loved the Ocho the best.
google avatar

Yelp
In the wise words of Michelangelo "Forgiveness is divine, but never pay full price for late pizza." TMNT. You will never have to deal with late pizza at Far Out! Newly open and brought to you by the same amazing folks from Union Beer , Far Out delivers freshly made, delicious pizza, salads, hoagies and more! Let me first start off by saying I'm for sure an anti-Hawaiian pizza kinda gal, but they won me over with their version. That says a lot! I love their wings! So crispy and perfectly prepared! Their mushroom and pepperoni slices are also a must try! And I also love they combined two of my favorite things and have pizza fries on the menu!

Yelp
Coming from NY, I struggled to find similar pizza down here in Miami. I have a few favorites and Far Out is now in my top three. Tried a plain cheese slice and was blown away. The store is nestled between Pizza Hut & Dominos on Calle Ocho, funny enough. The service was super quick and friendly and the ambiance was super cute. The esthetics were like an old school diner, with a hint of space. Can't wait to try more.

Yelp
This place brought back college memories with its cool Ninja Turtle and 80s decorations. The lady at the front desk was really nice. They sell pizza by the slice, which I love. I tried three flavors, but THE Bian Pizza was my favorite--it's made with Garlic, Ricotta, Pecorino, and Mozzarella. No wonder it's a local hit; the flavors were fantastic.

Yelp
Great New York style pizza. I got the basic cheese and the garlic bread. Pizza was well flavored and the crust wonderful. Great char on the undercarriage, highly recommend this place. They also included a handwritten note which made it a personal touch.

Yelp
Very good pizza. I didn't have the sandwiches but they are definitely doing things right with the pizza side of things. Love the fact that you can mix and match slices so you actually order what you want. Would like to see homemade ice tea here. I had the mushroom pizza and the vegetable pizza. The whole staff wants to make your dining experience fun and they want to see you leave happy, and I was. Pizza wasn't right out of the oven hot but that's fine with me since I prefer pizza at room temperature. Nice selection of pizzas and they are made from scratch. So good. Limited amount of indoor seating. Open till 11 most nights and 12 on weekends. The taste will impress you, the service will add to the joy.

Yelp
I liked my mushroom pizza with onion crisps- my partner ordered her half plain cheese. 30.00 is pretty pricey but its - calle ocho / tourist area, Problem - it was cold- ugh! - it seems they are premade and they throw them in the oven before you arrive. I understand both the price and premade (for walk ins). What I don't understand is that this was a pickup order- from a local number (not a tourist ) they told us 20-30 minutes and it was stone cold and kind of stiff. Will I return- No.

Yelp
So lucky to have this neighbor place when craving a sweet slice! Tried a few at this new pizza joint in little Havana. Lets talk "dough"It's a thin crispy vessel for some great flavors! Started with a slice of the White Hot Heat! Crispy crust covered with gooey mozzarella cheese dressed up with perfectly sliced pepperoni & to spice it up thin slices of jalapeños! One bite and you may first be were is the heat? Wait for it! It is not an in your face heat, the kick is just right & just makes you take another & another & another bite! So yummy! Then on to the Calle Ocho! This is so delicious & flavorful. Love garlic? this is the one for you! The crispy dough I believe is brushed with garlic, topped small pieces of ham & cooked onions. Found it difficult to just have one slice! Could easily enjoy a whole pie! Besides slices, they have other options such as salads, sandwiches, wings, some dips such as hummus. We had to try the wings. Buffalo wings. The wings were covered in house made buffalo sauce. Very flavorful not too spicy. Found ourselves licking our fingers! Tried the chicken parm sandwich. This was a nice size sub i would say 12" thin slice of bread fried chicken between a soft fluffy sub roll coated with a nice tomato sauce with plenty of cheese. It was so good! Besides the pizza being awesome, the service was super! Guys making the pies to the girl taking the order, its just a place where u feel u are hanging out with friends. The food, the vibe, the look, all are FAR OUT! Enjoy a slice or two!

Yelp
Great service with a great slice! We will be back & they are on Uber Eats so we'll be ordering soon.

Yelp
I am assuming it was a bad day for the store. The pizza crust was charcoal. Cheese sticks were pretty good. Probably not ordering again.

Yelp
Little Havana residents, your prayers have been answered! A proper pizza joint has finally graced our neighborhood and you will not be disappointed! This joint is a collaboration between local favorite watering hole, Union Beer Store, their resident chef, Chef Shaggy, and newcomer, Pizza Chef Doug. Located right next door to Union, it's a perfect accompaniment to some ice cold brews and they'll even bring the pizza right to your seat at the bar... Now on to the tea you really wanna know...how good is it? It's really damn good and worthy of a spot in the convo of Miami's Best... I've only had slices and not a whole pie however I find every slice I've had to be extremely thin, firm, and crispy as a NYC style slice should be...my favorite is the White Hot Heat which features pepperoni, jalapeños, and some dollops of fresh ricotta which compliment each other perfectly. The Bianca is their white pie which is ricotta based but with a twist...it's served with a lemon slice which transforms it into a beautiful little slice of lemon Alfredo pasta which I haven't seen anyone else do. Finally, the mushroom gives you that amazing umami taste without cheating with the truffle gimmick. Finally, the mozz sticks are a tier above anywhere else I've had with breading unlike anywhere else... there's a lot left on the menu to try and ill definitely be back but in the meantime, this place is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Yelp
Ordered UberEats, didn't take long. I'm a sucker for good dough. Got the 50/50 pepperoni/mushroom (shroom was the surprise star!) + truffle fries, & got the promo for a cheese pizza. Decent size & good quality to feed a party we were hosting. Honestly, surprised it's not being bombarded, it is new. Worth my lactose intolerance. (Getting my lactose pill )

Yelp
Pizza was good. Glad to see a place where you can go in and just order a slice. Compared to joes that opened in wynwood I would choose this one. Better cheese and bread. The Italian sandwich was nothing espectacular for the price, but it was decent.
google avatar

Yelp
our new favorite pizza spot! family owned which to me, is a plus. they are intentional about the products they use and how they put it all together. not your typical pizza place, they take risks and I like that. the hoagies are fire too! highly recommend
google avatar

Yelp
Sometimes a place just has great energy. Our slices and italian sub were totally tasty, but more importantly the service was above and beyond. Javier was so friendly, generous, and genuine. Five-star dude. Also it seems every other restaurant in this part of Calle Ocho is either a jam-packed tourist destination or a fast food chain. This is neither. Just a chill pizzeria with ninja turtles on the walls. Give it a visit!
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome old school neighborhood pizzeria. We visit from Miami Beach and family love it!

Anthony C.

Yelp
Terrible!! Service !! Walked in 15 minutes before closing and told me they were already closed . Well then you should tell your customer s your closing at 11:45 P.M and not @ 12:00A.M.. Bottom line of professionalism is you never turn away a customer until the door closes. It takes me 7 minutes to cook a cheese pizza, make a Caesar salad along with garlic within the 12 minutes I would have charged them and bagged all there items.. Lazy !! !! Lazy !! Tried a slice , not all that !! Rock boy pizza waaaaaay !! Better !!!
google avatar

Xavier D.

Yelp
got the mozz sticks, the white hot heat, a pepperoni and a plain cheese slice. great cheese and sauce ratio. super foldable. very tasty. looking forward to visiting their other location next door

Yelp
Didn't know Calle 8 was missing a pizza spot until Far Out pizza opened! We're big fans of Union so we were so excited to see this open up next door! Amazing pizza , the new flavors just keep getting better. I could eat the Miami Heat every day. :,) but all flavors are perfect.

Rayne r.

Yelp
Best pizza in little Havana!!! Will definitely come back :) You gotta try it!!!!!!!

Chris R.

Yelp
New to Miami and trying all the pizza places to see if anything comes close to my time in NY. So far I've struggled and their pizza wasn't much better than anything else out there. Very greasy, too much crust and not a lot of toppings, sauce or cheese.... Again a lot of crust. I'll keep looking

Alexis M.

Yelp
This is exactly what Little Havana was missing! Pizzas by the slice, pizza pies, hoagies, wings, mozz sticks. EVERYTHING is delicious!! They offer pizza by the slices which is perfect for those late night cravings. They're served crispy, cheesy, and delicious. You can also enjoy it at their beer tap room next door, Union Beer Store. Pizza and beer, perfect combo. Aside from the delicious food, the people behind the scenes are just as great. Their service is amazing and make you feel right at home. Also, don't overlook their amazing decor, its a classic pizza joint with a modern twist. No detail in this place was overlooked. Please do yourself a favor and try them out, it won't disappoint!!

A K.

Yelp
Pizzas were decent. We tried the plain cheese and mushroom. Both would have been better with more cheese. The crust is good, with a nice chew and the perfect thickness. Too much of the crust is left without sauce or topping. For the price, not worth it.

Natalie G.

Yelp
Delicious pizza!! I loved the white pizza, and the crust was amazing. I did delivery but would love to dine in next time.

Dave A.

Yelp
Has to be up there with best Miami pizza, tried the white hot heat and Bianca slice. I'll be a regular
