"Far Out Pizza is a retro slice shop in the epicenter of Calle Ocho that makes good pizza. But you shouldn’t only be eating pizza here, because their other menu items are even better. For example: the wings. These are fried to tender perfection, but the house buffalo sauce is really why they’re on this guide. It’s so good, super buttery, and has enough heat to make your lips tingle for 20 minutes.  " - Ryan Pfeffer, Virginia Otazo

"Far Out Pizza is a slice shop in the epicenter of Calle Ocho that makes pizza we thoroughly enjoy—but the best things here aren’t actually pizza. That honor goes to Far Out’s sandwiches, a handful of thick options that range from a saucy eggplant parm to the delicious (and lawyer-approved) riff on a Publix sub they call the “public sub.” All that—plus buttery buffalo wings, crispy mozzarella sticks, and good salads—are more than enough reason to walk into the retro space. Far Out also happens to be next door to (and run by the same team as) Union Beer Store, one of our favorite bars in Miami. So you can spend a Saturday night carrying pepperoni pizza and Italian subs back and forth between the two like a hardworking ant. Food Rundown photo credit: Cleveland Jennings / @eatthecanvasllc Public Sub This is our favorite sandwich here. It comes with fried chicken, a house sauce, lettuce, tomato, and—yes—it is 1,000% better than that other version you can find at Florida’s favorite grocery store. photo credit: Cleveland Jennings / @eatthecanvasllc Italian Hoagie If meat is your favorite part of an Italian sub, you'll like this. They really don't wimp out on the ratios of mortadella, salami, and capicola. Or use so much dressing that it turns into a drippy mess when you take a bite, which we (and our shirts) appreciate. photo credit: Cleveland Jennings / @eatthecanvasllc Chicken Wings These wings are fried to tender perfection. You can get them with ranch, but the house buffalo sauce is pretty incredible. It’s super buttery, and has enough heat to make your lips tingle for the next 20 minutes. photo credit: Cleveland Jennings / @eatthecanvasllc White Hot Heat All the slices here are solid, so go with whichever one behind the plexiglass you feel the most pizza chemistry with. For us, that’s the white hot heat with garlic oil, globs of ricotta, jalapeño slices, and red pepper flakes. There's a small kick, but it's not stupidly spicy—and it goes great with a beer in case you're walking this over to Union." - Ryan Pfeffer

My boyfriend and I absolutely love this place! We just moved to over to the area and stumbled upon Far Out Pizza on UberEats. We've only ever order delivery through the app but it is by far the best pizza we've had in a while! Everything from the toasted pepperoni on the pizza, the perfectly baked crust, and don't even get me started on the RANCH!! The 3/3 times we've ordered everything has been a hit. At this point we need to meet the people behind the pizza, and the fellow reviews convinced us. The ambiance of the shop sounds insane and we have to see that for ourselves! Thank you Far Out!

Best pizza ever. If you are in Miami, you HAVE to try this out. It’s not only the taste and beauty of the pizzas, but the service and atmosphere.

Best new pizza joint in town. Pair it up with a beer next door at Union Beer store and feel like the uktimate local. (They deliver food next door!). But don't only think it's for pizza, the chef in the back is making everything from wings, to Pub Subs, to whatever new creation he can think of. Great Local Vibe and even better taste. I'll be a regular here.

This is my new favorite pizza restaurant…I have been ordering at lest 1-2 times a week …the crust is thin and crispy…pepperoni is cupped and flavorful…and they done skip on the cheese…definitely one of the best pizzas out here in Miami

Recently opened where the old 8 Burger joint used to be and next to Union Beer, whose owners are the ones opening this place, we now have a new pizza joint in Calle Ocho. One of my colleagues went and loved it especially the Ocho slice with a garlic sauce, and topped with ham, onions, and a lime to squeeze, yes you read correctly, a lime wedge. Apparently the lime adds a very unique flavor when mixed with the garlic sauce. Went with a friend and sure enough, this is a very unique blend of flavors and one that sets this little place apart. I opted for the pepperoni and it was one of the better pepperoni slices I’ve had in town, not the best by any means. I also tried the meat lovers and this was a better slice for me. The ingredient that makes it different in a good way and adds some acidity to the slice are the yellow peppers. Perhaps this would be my go to next time. They have some pies sitting in a glass case until you order and then it’s placed and heated in the oven. Not sure if that’s always the case but I usually prefer seeing it made from scratch, you know, like tossing the dough, spreading the sauce, adding some cheese and toppings and then seeing go into the fire but that wasn’t the case here, unfortunately. It’s a decent slice of pizza and I’d say maybe and only maybe the Ocho and meat lovers slices would be the only reason to come back, just my opinion. Service was great and prices are adequate for area and portions.

Great experience all around. Very well priced. Had a slice of White Hot Heat and a slice of Meat Lovers. The dough was baked perfectly.

Didn't dine in, but I purchased some pizza dough to make at home. The service was great, super friendly staff. The process a of making the pizza was fun and challenging! Would definitely do it again and visit this pizza joint again. The gentleman that explained the storing process of the pizza was very knowledgeable that helped a lot.

Pizza is solid! For the Ninja Turtles arcade game on site but service was quick so couldn’t get through first stage. What I really enjoy is that you can chill next door at Union Bar, drink some fantastic beer and have the pizza from Far Out. Love the way the owners lean into the Ninja Turtles vibe as well as the other references to iconic and nostalgic pizza scenes. Definitely worth the visit with Union bar as strong pairing.
