"Farfalla Vinoteca e Birreria, the 13-year-old Italian/Brazilian restaurant in Los Feliz, closed permanently on Monday. Owner John Borghetti cited coronavirus mandates and guidelines as the reason, but will focus on a new restaurant that can be more adaptable to the current climate." - Mona Holmes

Wow, I missed Italy everyday and I haven't had a space where I can feel like I'm back at the amazing country.. until now! Great wine, great food, amazing hospitality! I love this space!

This place is like a hidden gem! My friend suggested that we go here for dinner. Oh em gee, the ceviche is AMAZING! I also had the veggie plate and that was good. Not amazing, but good. I had to add some sauce to it to fit my liking. The ambiance is so cute and intimate. For some reason that night (which was a weekday), it was just the two of us in there. If you're looking for an authentic date night spot I totally recommend this place.

A bit pricey, but the food and wine are delicious! Note: this review was for the Brazilian food. It looks like they've combined everything together now (2019). I had the Italian food (Farfalla) once, years ago, but was not impressed.

Food quality and portion has deteriorated since patronizing for the past eight years...quite disappointing! Revised to a one star: charging me for a chicken salad with the chicken and the portions have shrunk more as their prices and service continue to deline!

This is the best fish restaurant in downtown Los Angeles. I love this place and will always go back. Even if you want a polite lunch, this is the place. The raw bar is excellent. Though it is not on the menu, you can request a chef's tasting of a multi-course meal with wine parings. If you have the time, this is the way to go.The Tropicalia Brazilian Grill is also the only place on the West Coast I have seen Cobra, one of my favorite fish served. Great bar, great atmosphere, great fish.

As authentic as possible because Brazilian food is hard to replicate out of Brazil. This place is very close and very good. I go there and experience the flavors. Very friendly owner. He is always there and I love the idea of the bar open to the restaurant. Great date spot. Dinner on one side and then move to the place next door through a little hall between where the bathrooms are and boom you;re in a new place with a full bar and music...

Decent tastings. Their fries are good (like bigger version of red curly fries). Friends expected cheese bread which doesn't exist here. A bit steep for the meat quality but they make it up with two side dishes like fries, salad or rice depending on your entree $15-20. Ribs sandwich (ribs on the side with 2 flatten plantain), and speciality entrees were decent. Bottle of wine for $19.95. Chill mellow atmosphere, dim lighting on a Tuesday late dinner night, pretty empty and intimate with connecting wine bar almost packed. Small amount of outdoor seating. Service is great.
