"Choose your own appetizing adventure at this casual pasta and noodle spot where fresh pasta can be made to order with a wide range of sauces like bolognese, Thai peanut butter, and South Philly Alfredo (an infusion of American and Italian Alfredo sauce that includes panchetta). If you’re in the mood for more than pasta, side dishes like the loaded focaccia, meatballs, and arancini are also popular." - George Banks-Weston

Yelp
I ordered the Philly Alfredo with rigatoni to go and it was wonderful. It was made right away and came out piping hot. They make their pasta which results in nice soft noodles with a pleasant texture. The sauce was flavorful with lots of cheese. Portion size is decent. It isn't huge but also not tiny. Something to note is that there are more menu items posted on the self serve ordering screen than the menu board. They have flatbreads, focaccia, and other appetizers. Edit: We went bad the next day to get more and it was just as good if not better! This time we dined in plus added tomato and spinach (which I highly recommend.)

Yelp
I got the vodka sauce and meatballs on bucatini pasta and it was to die for! The meatballs were deliciously tender, the sauce perfectly tangy, and the pasta beautifully homemade. It came with a piece of bread on the side and it was equally amazing and tasty, and perfect for soaking up the extra sauce in the bowl. It's a hole in the wall (almost literally....we walked past it a few times searching)), but do NOT miss it. You won't be disappointed with your choice.

Amanda R.

Yelp
The girl at the register was super nice. It's a hole in a wall. The food for the price of 12 dollars was cheap but the food was amazing. The guy who then came to help was kind of a d***. But other than that if you're looking for a quick Italian pasta to go this is the place

Yelp
Great home made noodles you can taste the freshness and deliciousness. My issue with this place is they had a few items there that were not listed on the menu and the website were missing items that the store had on its menu in person. The cannoli desert had an option to choose from a few different flavors, I chose strawberry but couldn't taste it and using the toast app order they did not receive my order so I had to wait for my food longer. The south Philly Alfredo order was good except I didn't taste a strong Alfredo/cheese sauce too it it was more bland but definetly give this place a try and check them out! My money was still well spent here!

Yelp
Absolutely terrible, will not return and will never recommend. I came here on a Friday evening for a take out. It wasn't busy. There was a just a tablet with guests finishing up their dinner. I get to the counter only to find an employee too busy with their phone to even acknowledge or greet me. Fortunately there was an ordering kiosk where I could see what's in each dish on the menu. After I placed my order, a ticket order is printed, and the said employee that was busy with their phone snagged up the ticket and said it would take about 10mins for the order. I ordered a bolognese and garlic bread. From the older photos on here, it seems like their quality dropped a lot. I received garlic bread that was so burnt you cannot even taste any garlic on it (so that was $2.50 down the drain). The bolognese was just alright and in fact a little too overdone/soft. Overall, you'd get better service and dish at an Olive Garden (and this is coming from someone who's only tried food catered from Olive Garden).

Wayde W.

Yelp
Cook the food before you send it out for delivery. Chicken is completely raw. Not even partially cooked. I'm surprised they managed to brown the crust. No recovery option. They won't redeliver even though we're at a hotel two blocks away. Person on the phone was nice enough but apparently there isn't a manager on site to rectify the situation. So no refund and no food. Photos with and without flash for clarity.

Yelp
Review's based on the GF pasta. I had the bolognese which was pretty similar to something I'd make at home. All things considered, I found Farina quite costly. Kudos for the easy ordering, friendly staff, GF labeling and speed of service. I'll definitely be back, but it will be situational given the lack of value.

Cassidy K.

Yelp
the food was excellent for the price - my friend and i shared rigatoni with vodka sauce and pappardelle with pistachio pesto. both were so delicious... and for only $13 each! so excited to go back during my lunch breaks. portion size was good too - neither of us finished ours.

Yelp
I love the name Farina Pasta & Noodle, as I'm a big fan of Farina from the Little Rascals. I grabbed takeout from Farina for lunch. I ordered their version of spaghetti & meatballs. I saw that the meatballs are a combination of beef and chicken, which is not a normal Italian meatball, so I wasn't expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised at how juicy and delicious that meatball was. It's right up there with the best meatballs at any Italian restaurant. The pasta is actually Bucatini - Spaghetti with A Hole in The Middle. It was well cooked and the marinara sauce is good, but it's that meatball that is the star. I was wishing I had more than just 3 small ones. The meal comes with a piece of toasted garlic bread as well, which always pairs well with pasta. I will definitely be back to try other pasta dishes with those meatballs.

Cherie C.

Yelp
Staff are welcoming. Chef has an impressive resume. Fast-casual pasta and noodles that isn't from a central distribution center in another city? Nice! The description sounds like the chain Noodles & Company, but they are doing it right here at Farina. Fresh ingredients and homemade pasta.

Jorge R.

Yelp
We had a catered service at the Venture Cafe that was just outstanding. The pistachio pesto pasta was fantastic and so were the Dan Dan noodles. I'm glad I was third in line bc it went fast! I saw people scraping the pesto sauce on the empty container just to get that last little bit. Highly recommend

Sne G.

Yelp
Best pasta I've had in the longest time !!! So glad to have stumbled upon this gem of a space, went there based on Yelp reviews alone. Ordered pistachios pesto pasta and signature alfredo pasta without chicken/pork. Delicious is an understatement- rich, creamy, flavorful and freshly made pasta. My husband and I are fans, will definitely be going back to try their other sauces. Service was quick, we ordered take out and happily finished them in the car !!

Bruce K.

Yelp
Simple and Amazing. Pesto pasta with meat balls was excellent. Definitely coming back.

Jada G.

Yelp
This is such a neat concept! I'm no stranger to the fancier Italian places in the city, but sometimes it's nice to get something between fast chains and a $30 plate of pasta. I like the convenient location, and the interior is slightly upscale casual--it gives big BurgerFi vibes. Between my boyfriend and I, we ordered the Philly Alfredo and Vodka Sauce, with either pappardelle or rigatoni. There was a slip up so our noodles got switched, but it wasn't a big deal since the sauce and add-ons were nice. Overall, I think it was nice and especially for the pricepoint! There's definitely some growing pains since the time between order and getting the food was a bit long, but I think as they get their footing and the pandemic gets to be less of an issue, they'll be a force to be reckoned! My only other minor critique is the add ons (specifically the chicken) were just okay. I would have liked some interesting seasoning or a nice grill on the meat, but my boyfriend enjoyed his sausage so there are definitely good things going here. I can't wait to see this place grow!

Abraham K.

Yelp
Farina deserves all the love. Their pasta is for sure fresh and all the ingredients in the sauce seemed to be as well. Tasted like an affordable home cooked meal despite being in Center City. Great restaurant.

Michelle P.

Yelp
We came in for dinner after my graduation with friends from Jersey. We chose this placed based on the vegan options. It's more of a "chipotle style" service where you pic your pasta, sauce and then meat. I got the homemade Caesar which to me wasn't reminiscent of a Caesar. It was more of a ranch dressing. It didn't have any of the anchovy-Parmesan taste to it, as well as the other toppings offered. It's better to be named a house salad. That's why I'm taking off a star. I then got the Alfred without the pork and added chicken. It was delightful. The sauce was flavorful and had a hind pepper note to it. Everyone enjoyed their food and it was a cute little cafe.

Nicole H.

Yelp
Very good pasta from an unsuspecting place. Setup has a more takeout or fast food look to it, but there's some love put into it. Ordered the South Philly Alfredo with pappardelle pasta and two orders of meatballs and a side of fried mozzarella. Delish! .

Alex O.

Yelp
Okay I didn't like the penne vodka (extra large fettuccine) or the south Philly Alfredo rigatoni It was okay. It tasted alright. Overall just kind of boring. It's not BAD. I mean people will like it. However, I don't because I've had better. Won't get it again.

Tibby C.

Yelp
To be fair I only ever get the one thing and that's the South Philly Alfredo and small Caesar salad. It's always amazing and plenty of food but as an over eater I always wish I ordered two to have leftovers. I definitely am going to try their bologna sauce and vodka sauce next. I've had friends try these and paired with the fresh pasta they say it's just as amazing s as my Alfredo. I never would have found this place if it wasn't for Uber eats but now that I know about it I try to order straight from the restaurant to save both me and the restaurant fees!

Gus S.

Yelp
Eh. I ordered the spaghetti pesto with chicken for lunch. The pasta dough was oddly chewy and tough for being fresh pasta. The pesto was straightforward. Nothing to write home about. The portion was small for $15+. The small piece of garlic bread was pretty tasty but just not enough of it. We also waited over 15 minutes for our meal, and considering no one else was there, it was far too long. Not missing much here.

El K.

Yelp
My colleague and I walked in here during lunch and found ourselves to be the only customers. This establishment has a short list of menu; this is great so you don't take a lot of time to choose. I generally appreciate if the counter person greets me with a good vibe, but maybe she was having a not so good day- no smile/energy whatsoever. Nevertheless, we came there for the food; I decided to get the Pistachio Pesto Pappardelle with Sausage and a can of san pellegrino. The whole thing costs me $18 and some change. My coworker got the Bolognese Pappardelle with Spinach. When the counter person brought put boxes, mine smells great- i can smell the pesto. However, I was disappointed after taking the first bite; the pasta was chewy and the taste was pretty bland. The sausages were these miniature cuts that i can just swallow without the need to chew. The only good part was the garlic bread. My coworker felt the same way about her food and the price was a bit up there for mediocre food. I believe this place just opened, so maybe they need some time to adjust. Please check it out for yourself. As for me, I won't come back bc It's not worth it in my opinion.

David P.

Yelp
Friendly prices and friendly staff but I would spend the extra bucks to eat at an Italian restaurant. The pasta sauces tasted like the prepackaged ones you buy from the grocery store. When I tasted them I thought I could make it at home too. The most surprising part about my experience at Farina wasn't the yelling DoorDasher behind me but it was a tiny mouse that scurried in front of the register when I entered. I don't think the workers know.

Sable G.

Yelp
Lacks customer service. Wasn't greeted upon entering, selected all food on a computer screen, wasn't spoken to during check out, wasn't thanked when handed my take out. But the pistachio pesto was delicious so if you don't care about service it's just fine.

Mallory D.

Yelp
I love the concept, but not really wild about the execution. I ordered delivery and because of that I'm being more generous than I would otherwise, as being an hour late likely affected the overall experience. But their sauce needs more flavor yo. I ordered the bolognese and it was pretty much void of any flavor. Filling, but not very satisfying. Same with the cheesy bread, though I suspect that would have been more delicious an hour before it arrived at my door. I'm still intrigued enough to try some of their other stuff if the opportunity arises, maybe the Asian inspired dishes. But my first experience left much to be desired.

Yelp
I wanted to give this place a good review but I simply cannot. I placed an order for pickup. Upon walking up to the counter I wasn't greeted at all, or asked what I needed help with. Three people stood in the kitchen, looked at me and continued their tasks. While waiting, a customer eating inside also needed help. The woman behind the counter instructed another person to "go see what that man wants". Rude! If I could hear them, then he did as well. He just wanted his bread. 5 min. pass and I finally took matters into my own hands and looked through the pick up orders on the counter. I found my bag, notified the staff and they didn't even look up. On to the food.. The pasta was OVERCOOKED. RUBBER. The Summer Pomodoro w/Bucatini- 2 tiny halved tomatoes!? Come on. Absolutely no sauce, overcooked shrimp and the driest meatballs. Bucatini should be hollow in the center. This was thick and gummy w/no hollow center. The South Philly Alfredo- again..OVERCOOKED PASTA. The sauce was okay, but the chicken was dry. We had fried mozzarella as well. Pretty good. Huge disappointment. The service and the food.

Yayi W.

Yelp
Small quiet place with friendly staff and incredibly good food! I had the Pappardelle south Philly alfredo and it was delicious!!

Sylvia S.

Yelp
Let me start by saying that we are from Houston, TX. We are here in vacation for a few days. Our goal when we travel is to eat local. This place was AMAZING! My son had the Philly Alfredo with chicken, mushrooms and tomatoes. I had the Dan Dan Noodles. Both dishes were delicious! We decided today that we will visit daily while we are here. Yes that's crazy but when we find a great place we try all the dishes. The noodles were perfect. With all the Italian restaurants in Houston, we have never tasted anything like the noodles my son had. The Dan Dan noodles were perfectly spiced. The young man that took our order was so very nice and helpful. He answered our questions and made a couple of suggestions.

Tiffany T.

Yelp
Pretty solid, my first take out order from this spot. I discovered Farina via Grubhub - there was a promotion for $8 off a $12 order. I opted to try the chicken ramen which is $12.99 on GH and listed as "18 hour slow simmered chicken broth topped with marinated chicken, pickled carrots, bok choy, bean sprouts , mushrooms and a soy egg". The flavor of the broth was good, and the toppings look just like the photo they provide on Grubhub. My biggest complaint would be the noodles because they aren't traditional ramen noodles. However, I don't really blame Farina because they don't list or claim it as such on the menu. It's just a personal preference, but the noodles were most similar to chitarra from what I could tell - which for me was a bit odd in the ramen noodle soup. My second criticism would be the egg. The egg was delivered, just as shown in the Grub hub photo - cooked, so don't expect the jammy soy marinated eggs you usually see in ramen. Maybe it's what they're going for but personally I just wasn't a fan. Maybe I'll try some of their Italian pastas next time!

Tejas K.

Yelp
Ordered takeout and arrived early. The food was presented nicely and smelled wonderful, however, it was very cold and not flavorful. Disappointed to say the least with my experience. Ordered the vodka rigatoni and had high hopes. Would not recommend

Sijia H.

Yelp
Tried this food truck twice in a week already! I really like the way they do with dandan noodles and Thai noodles, both are authentic Asian style and EXCELLENT taste! Meatball is a must-try and I can't get enough of them : D The delivery is really fast and the food is well packed! Thanks for your service, I definitely recommend Farina to all of my friends in Philly!

Kyle R.

Yelp
Farina is a small restaurant that is easy to walk by if you're not looking for the sign - but once you walk in it is well lit, with good spacing, and staff that wonderfully greet you. A veteran owned business that makes fresh noodles. Their pasta comes in at a good price. We tried the Dan Dan noodles, Blush Vodka, and South Philly Alfredo. The Alfredo was spectacular with beautiful curls of real Parmesan - a delight in a world filled with Kraft "Parmesan" as well as the vodka sauce being refreshingly light and diverse in taste and texture. Both the pappardelle and bucatini noodles are wonderful with amazing texture.

Joel K.

Yelp
Good Bolognese. Not sweet, not overly spiced, and appropriately oily. This is primarily a takeout place, but they have 7 2-top tables and a counter with stools. Should be easy to push 2 together for a party of 4. They will serve your pasta on a disposable plate if you're eating in. No fountain, just canned drinks. It's a cellar location. There are a few steep steps down to the entrance. Price shown on Yelp is out of date. Bolognese is $13. Go to this place. It's a locally owned small business, and they deserve your support.

Judy L.

Yelp
Ordered rigatoni in bolognese sauce and chicken add on and Thai peanut butter noodle. It took a while to come out but I think the pasta is being made fresh so it takes time. Hubby loved his rigatoni. He said the pasta was really fresh and right amount of chewiness. It also had a tiny piece of garlic bread. Wish it was a little bigger. Next time he said he needn't add the chicken since there's ground beef in bolognese already. Thai pasta was also good and had a lot of veggies in it. It had a little kick to it and some ginger I believe. Only other thing is I wish they offered free cups of water. Otherwise, I would come back when I'm craving fresh pasta.

Katherine N.

Yelp
Delicious fresh made pasta. I had a rigatoni with vodka sauce with pancetta and we took an order of uncooked to go. My daughters don't like sauce but it's so noticeably fresh my daughter exclaimed "what kind of pasta is this mom this is so good" . Hit the spot after a very long day for everyone.

Stewart Z.

Yelp
A good eatery to explore if you on the go or just to eat in!. Either if you in the city or just walking stop in and get a bite!.!. Right in center city?.?. Great place to get food?.

Richard B.

Yelp
Small, local, friendly, homemade. After a long day it was great to walk in and have them pick something out for me that was fresh and delicious.

Jim S.

Yelp
It was OK. It was expensive for what you got, basically a paper plate of $30 pasta. And I must say, I'm a little bit tired of having to tip people when essentially, I do everything except bring the food to the table and cook it. I ordered mushrooms, and they gave me half a dozen mushrooms with the Pasta. Pretty skimpy portion. I also ordered the garlic bread, and it was literally some small slices of bread with some garlic on it, and not very much garlic at that. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't terrible, but I thought it was worth about 2/3 what I paid for it.

Sasha M.

Yelp
This place is definitely worth walking to! The atmosphere was great and the service was fast. We ordered cheese bread and it was the perfect addition to our entrées. I would have given it five stars, but the pricing was definitely mis-advertised. We will be back!

Ilikefood L.

Yelp
Pesto tasted good, Thai sauce wayy too spicy, my Irish friend died so I ate it. Both pappardelle and noodles were bland and overcooked. It's 80% of the dish and so easy to get right I can't believe I got mush. The add ons were good though (sausage, chicken, spinach, tomatoes). The side bread was also great.

Angela N.

Yelp
Delicious pasta dish- I had the pesto and thought it was great. The pasta was soft and tasted fresh. Service was friendly too. I do think it was a little bit pricey for take out lunch, and wish the veggie topping add-on was cheaper, or included, but overall this was really good and I'll be back to try more.

Zinan G.

Yelp
Absolutely stunning, can't believe it is takeout food truck pasta, $$$ quality taste, 100% handmade pasta with variety flavor to choose. Definitely worth to try.

Gilbert H.

Yelp
Small hole in the wall place with Italian and Chinese noodles, made right there. Sauce and meatballs were excellent. We would definitely return often if we lived in town.

Esther X.

Yelp
Its my fourth time ordering from this new place. They only take online orders, but the noodles are so fresh, delicious and satisfying! They gave a lot of food then I expected, great value for the money. Plus, I got buy one get one free of today's order! Woohoo!! Highly recommend to everyone

Aaron R.

Yelp
A favorite take-out place. Excellent al-dente pasta, fresh salad, and tasty sauces. You can also get their fresh uncooked pasta to make at home --- we'll often get some with a take-out order and make it later in the week. Highly recommended.

M C.

Yelp
Flavor is excellent, pasta texture is great! We had the dandan noodles and the pesto. Really liked their pesto! Place doesn't offer water though, so prepare to pay for bottled water. :)

Emma K.

Yelp
The vodka sauce and rigatoni at this place, so good. Cesar salad really good and just right, too. Happy this place is in the neighborhood. Dont love ordering on a screen, but everything else is great

Michele R.

Yelp
Worst food ever!!!! this has to be the worst restaurant/take out in the city of Philadelphia. I wouldn't eat here again for love nor money. Also, pretty dirty with a whiteish liquid covering the floor in the cooking area. The staff were walking thru the puddles as if they didn't exist. Ugh, what a mistake in choosing this horrible place!

Ally J.

Yelp
Just got Uber eats, absolutely disgusting me and my husband could only eat the garlic bread and cheese bread. I got chicken fettuccine Alfredo that was extremely extremely dry smothered in black pepper and extremely chewy chicken. My husband got shrimp scampi which was basically noodles, shrimp and tons of black pepper no sauce again. Highly do not recommend this place. We just wasted $60 to throw in the trash because our poor dog won't even eat it .

Xl D.

Yelp
Oh This is definitely the best pasta delivery I had in Philadelphia. The food is very fresh and Q~. Noodle is freshly handmade by the chef. And the meatball is very large and juicy! You can order on its website or deliver app. It always delivers on time! Recommend to order!

Zara W.

Yelp
This pasta was exactly the comfort food I was hoping for, a very hearty bowl of pasta with a generous amount of sauce. I'm really pleased with the number of vegetarian options and the mushroom bacon did not disappoint!
