Three New Pizza Places Show LA’s Italian Food Growth - Eater LA

"For a more traditional pizza experience, there’s the new-ish Farina Pizza in Koreatown. This shop, run by Sicilian-born chef Michele Galifi, focuses on big, round, crispy-bottomed pies, similar to a New York City slice. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner daily at 119 S. Western Avenue, and also trades in meatball subs, mozzarella sticks, and other staple Italian-American dishes." - Farley Elliott

One of the greatest features about this place is that they serve pizza by the slice. Ordered the cheese slice. The slice is very thin lightly grease and light cheese. They also have desert. Chocolate chip cookies, and brownies. It was great. The seating is very "cozy" and there is a good spot by the window. I highly recommend this place.

This pizza restuarant is always a success with all of my guests. Whenever they want Dominoes, I say no, hold up. I know a far better option. Have never gotten a bad review from them. The pizza is always fresh, crust fluffy (on the Sicilian style) or just the roght crunch on the regular crusts. While the cost seems high, it really is not. The quality is better than some of the best places I have ever eaten at in even Chicago and New York City. I reccomend you eat anything from them because it is all great. Even the mozzarella sticks while just your typical version, are somehow amplified to top shelf cuisine by their in house marinara sauce which uses the right amount of wine and is simply a taste of divinity on Earth.

So worth the drive to K-town! We ordered the Bianca and damn that pizza was amazing! Everything about it was delicious from the dough, to the crust and the best part was that the pizza was not heavy. We also ordered the garlic bread and to be honest it's the softest and most fluffiest garlic bread I've ever had. The tomato sauce that came with the garlic bread tasted amazing, so fresh! I can't wait to go back to try the Sicilian pizza because it looks so good. This place did not disappoint 10/10 recommend!!

Unbelievable!!! Such an excellent pizza. Definitely closest to NY style that I have had in LA! Sooooo good that I had to get another one to take home!!!

Excellent crust, amazing flavor. The garlic bread sticks were huge and delicious The simple garden salad came with olives and onions. Don't expect an inexpensive pizza here, but you definitely get the quality you pay for! Quick walk from the Wiltern Theater.

I expected this place to be better based on reviews. I was a bit disappointed. I ordered a meatball sandwich and I had a slice of pizza. The pizza was very good and I liked it however the meatball sandwich was not to my liking. It didn't have any flavor, just as the fettuccine alfredo, to me it tasted too much like mayonnaise, maybe they just had an off day and I'm willing to give them another try. The girl at the counter was very friendly and prompt with her service.

One of the best hidden Gems of LA! I want Barstool/One Bite to review it, because it's that good!!! But it's one of the best kept secrets and will create chaos once the word is out. Round pie is my go too! But that Sicilian Cheese w/Ricotta though. Whoa!!! I recommend ordering an entire Pie over slices. The slices do not come out the same as an entire Pizza. There's just something magical about it!!! 8.9 in my book.
