Yelp
Farm Burger opened its newest Atlanta location in Grant Park on March 26, 2018. I'm a big fan of this burger chain. I currently rank Farm Burger in my top three burger restaurants in Atlanta with Holeman and Finch/H&F Burger and Fred's Meat & Bread. To date, I've visited all four Farm Burger locations in metro Atlanta. This chain continues to consistently pump out delicious burgers, fries, milkshakes, and more, and with great service too.
This Farm Burger is located on the ground level of The George apartment building, very close to Daddy D'z BBQ Joynt and just a couple blocks away from Oakland Cemetery. Plenty of free parking is available inside The George's parking deck. The parking deck entrance is adjacent to Farm Burger's storefront. The restaurant has two entrances, one of which is accessible directly from the deck.
This is a modern fast-casual restaurant with a bar, TV, semi-open kitchen, and Metallica pinball machine. It's clean and has a relaxed, laid-back vibe.
You can build your own burger starting at $6.95 or choose from one of the company's "blackboard burgers," priced at $8 to $10 each. Their fries (about $2-4 each) are popular and their salads (anywhere from $5 to $11 each) are actually very good too. Shakes and floats run about $5-6 each. The burgers are made from 100% grass-fed dry-aged beef. In addition, they serve beer and wine.
I had the following:
* #1. Farm Burger ($8.25) - aged white cheddar, caramelized onions, and FB sauce
* Spicy fried chicken burger (seasonal, $9) - red cabbage, jalapeno slaw, and house pickles
* Superfood salad (small size, $4.50) - kale, shaved carrots, sauteed broccoli and garlic, fresh herbs, nutritional yeast, and mustard vinaigrette
* FB fries ($3.95) - garlic, herbs, Parmesan
Everything was fantastic.
If you've never been to Farm Burger before, then I recommend the #1 blackboard burger, the Farm Burger. It's delectable. Everything about it is great, from the bun to the beef patty. One thing I like about Farm Burger's beef is it's not overly fatty/greasy. Don't get me wrong - I love a nice, greasy burger, but Farm Burger's patties are dialed back and taste "healthier." I'm not sure what's in the FB sauce, but it's mayo-based, creamy, and lip-smacking good.
I was impressed with the spicy fried chicken burger, a seasonal selection. It's inspired by Nashville hot chicken. The chicken patty was extra crispy and legit spicy. It brought the heat. And this is coming from someone who loves spicy food. For me, the spice level was just right, but I can see how people would think it's too spicy. Not only was the chicken tasty, but I really liked the red cabbage and jalapeno slaw (a creamy slaw) too. They went well with the hot chicken. Good flavor.
The superfood salad was outstanding. For a burger joint, Farm Burger really knows how to make a yummy and nutritious salad. I love salads - a lot more than the average person - so I might be biased here. Farm Burger's superfood salad has a nice combination of textures, flavors, and even temperatures. For example, the broccoli was warm and soft while the kale was cool and crisp. The mouthwatering mustard vinaigrette really brought everything together well and the nutritional yeast seasoning (yellow powder) sprinkled on top was a nice touch.
The FB fries are excellent and are another item I recommend to anyone who hasn't had Farm Burger before. Admittedly, I think the garlic fries and ranch at Fred's Meat & Bread are better, but Farm Burger's FB fries are very delicious too. I think they could stand to be a *little* saltier and crispier, but that's just a personal preference; they're perfectly fine the way they are.
Service was terrific. All of the staff were friendly and helpful and our orders came out from the kitchen fast.
This Farm Burger is the first restaurant I've noticed that uses the Toast POS (point of sale) system. I had my receipt emailed to me and so far, I like Toast's receipt format the best. It's formatted nicely, detailed, and has my signature too.
I give Farm Burger - Grant Park 4.5 stars rounded up to 5.
