The atmosphere and service are great. A classy venue for professional events as well as a pleasure dining experience. Beautiful design, exterior and interior. The food that I have experienced here is not up to par with the rest of the establishment. I expect better chopped vegetables, nicer plating and a goggles lever of flavor. There is definitely room for improvement on food front. The rest is great. I recommend it as an experience, but take a look at the menu beforehand and don’t expect too much. A decent meal, just not top notch.

My wife had to stop by her lab on a Saturday which was close by so we decided to try this place that was recommended by her co-workers. Wow, am I glad we did! I would come for the Pop-Tart alone. You had me at homemade Pop-Tart. Well worth the money. The food was very high quality and well prepared . The service was very attentive. We always had a full water bottle and all our needs met. The only bobble was the seed lip not making it into my drink originally, but the waitress recognized it, rectified the situation and apologize. As long as the weather is good, this is a great happening patio. They had a singer/guitar player, and the music level was perfect for enjoyment but still allowing us to talk easily. Overall a great experience and we will definitely be

I'm here every few months for a business lunch. The staff are always cheerful and helpful. The food is always well thought out, plated beautifully and delicious! I've had nearly everything on the menu and, do far, I haven't had anything that I don't like. The coffee ☕️ is fantastic with a good number of selections. The desert is always my absolute favorite! It never disappoints. Recently, I had panacota with berries and a lemon drizzle ... omggggg I was in heaven. It was beautifully executed, and I wish I had ordered more. When I'm in the area and have time to pop by, this is a wonderful place to visit.

A.... Fun, lively, mostly outdoor venue restaurant. Our large party including children; went to enjoy BRUNCH. The atmosphere is relaxed and very casual. They had live music, a large grassy area for lawn games and a place for kids to run around. I did find the menu a bit limited but everyone was mostly satisfied with the choices they made. We started with their pastry basket for which I can say was very ordinary. And, someone also ordered one of their Pop-Tarts (a quince selection) which they deemed underwhelming. I ordered the Quiche Florentine which was a generous slice of creamy egg cooked to perfection that I thoroughly enjoyed. A guest had French Toast with everything ordered on the side which they graciously accommodated. Although they would have preferred that the syrup was separated from the fruit. Two different orders of Benedict dishes were ordered: the Lobster & the Classic "Benny's". Both of those were excellent. Then two orders of Chicken Chilaquiles were ordered, again these choices were well enjoyed. Lastly two children's orders of French Toast with bananas were added to our brunch. The children's portion sizes were impressively huge and the kids were very satisfied. Our table enjoyed iced teas, mimosas, freshly squeezed orange juice along with exceptionally aromatic and deeply roasted Cafe Americanos. We were a bit disappointed with the consistency of the orange juice as some of the glasses came out weaker than others. All in all it's a beautiful venue, very casual and relaxing. Our wait staff was very friendly and attentive, coming by often to check on our needs.

This restaurant has a great atmosphere and a peaceful location. I can imagine that the setting would be very nice in the evening, with patio lights, and space heaters on a cold night. The food, however, was somewhat less than flavorful. Nothing special about the food… although I heard great things about their lobster dishes (I did not order their lobster due to a shellfish allergy). I did have their fish tacos, and my daughter their eggs benedict, and all I can say is that the food was exceptionally ordinary. The staff were very nice initially, but after paying the bill, they never came back to the table to ask about things like refilling the water, or if perhaps we might want anything else. In fact, after taking our order and dropping off the bill, I don’t think I ever saw our waiter again. I wouldn’t make any effort to come back, but if friends were planning to go there, I’d of course join them.

Came here based off a recommendation from my best friend and had a wonderful brunch at Farmer & Seahorse. The meal was delicious and the service was friendly. The ambiance of the restaurant is excellent with an outdoor setting and an adjacent field where kids can play the games they have set up there. The Mediterranean Shrimp salad was absolutely outstanding and according to the waitress is a very popular choice. I recommend it highly. The pastry basket was good but not what we expected. Son ordered the steak and eggs fish and enjoyed it while my youngest got the French toast off the kids menu. Parking is super easy here and their parking lot is large and has many spots for parking. Overall had a wonderful brunch here before heading to Torrey Pines to burn off some of the calories. 5 stars and two thumbs up for Farm and The Seahorse!

The food here is excellent and the atmosphere is beautiful. There’s a large outside area for you to dine. It also has a yard where there’s games like cornhole that can be played. The inside is decorated well with a modern touch. I had the pop tart and hot chocolate for appetizers. Then I had fried chicken and gravy for lunch.

This place has a very nice environment with plenty of parking and open spaces for kids and dogs, which we have neither. We came to try the food on a slow afternoon so here are my thoughts. We enjoyed the ahi crudo which melted in your mouth and was cut nicely. The Mediterranean Shrimp salad was a tiny bit over dressed in feta dressing and could have used one or two more shrimp for the portion size. Lastly, the Grilled Salmon plate was very decent but the forbidden rice could have been cooked better (low and slower) since I got some undercooked grains. The vegetables it is served with could have been better seasoned but the salmon itself was super tender and so yummy but not at the temperature that we requested. We specifically asked our waiter to bring out one dish at a time but before we could even finish the crudo the salmon and shrimp salad came out at the same time. Bummer, esp. since it was pretty mellow in there. Drinks were yummy, especially the cinnamon cold brew. Worth a visit but wouldn't wait more than 10 minutes for a table.

Yelp
My son and I have a tradition meeting for brunch here. Few reasons: food is always fresh and delish. Consistent crew, so they know you and it feels family. I want to thank and express gratitude to Felicia, she seems the mom of the place, warm, personal, kind and attentive person. We always feel special coming here. Location is a hidden gem, indoor outdoor, just what you looking for few hours spent with family and friends or on a date. I rarely write reviews, but I felt I must to spread the love this place and Felicia share with me.

Yelp
This is my favorite brunch spot with its perfect combination of a lovely ambience (patio with live music on Saturdays), delicious food, and excellent service. Try the pop tart - it's always a treat. We enjoyed the mimosa kit, lobster Benedict (with a berry generous helping of mixed lobster), shrimp salad, Buddha bowl, and steak and eggs, and all four of us were very happy with our choices! Ben was our most recent server and couldn't have been more helpful and attentive. From food recommendations and the timing of the service to checking in on us and making sure everything was to our liking, we felt pampered. Thank you, Ben!

Yelp
Came on a Friday night for Happy Hour birthday fun. It was peak time at 5:00 pm but the restaurant had very little customers. No music but nice outdoor seating. The Happy Hour menu was limited and a bit on the pricey side. The cocktails were reasonable but not sure about the alcohol content? There were three of us but most of the Happy Hour items came in two's e.g., Beef Sliders, Tacos or single serving e.g., Spicy Tuna Tostada, General Tso's Cauliflower with Rice and Truffle Fries. The latter two was good for three to share and most reasonably priced. These were also very tasty. We had to order two of the Beef Sliders (total of 4) and they were so tiny and average. Our server was nice and made many recommendations from drinks and food knowing we were sharing small mites. She also threw in three complimentary cookies that were warm and yummy. This is where I changed my 3 star rating to 4 stars. I been to brunch and I would recommend it over happy hour.

Yelp
I recently visited this restaurant with a group of my girlfriends for lunch at noon over the weekend. We were a party of 5, with two vegetarians. While I had heard rave reviews about this restaurant in the past, it was actually one of my vegetarian friends who had visited twice before and loved their food. Granted that their menu changes with each season, we were beyond surprised and shocked to find that the menu had very very limited vegetarian (without meat/fish/egg) options like pop tarts and an assortment of pastries. We made a number of requests to our server like serving the shrimp on the side for the salad, replacing the shrimp with freshly sliced avocados, or a simple avocado toast. Each request was turned down and my friends ended up ordering a cheese quesadilla from the kids menu and French fries as their sweeter baked goods were not the ideal brunch. I did appreciate how the manager (?) came up to our table, apologized for the lack of vegetarian options, explained how they've recently had a change in management and that their chef is putting together a new menu which will have more vegetarian options in a couple weeks. Having understood our frustrations, they did finally accommodate our request to swap out the shrimp in the salad with sliced avocados. While the non vegetarian dishes that we ordered from the menu tasted delicious, the whole experience of putting multiple requests to the chef to only to be turned down each time left a sour experience, given that we live in Southern California where people who follow a vegetarian or vegan diet are not uncommon. I would not visit this place again if any member of our party is vegetarian.

Yelp
Nice place for brunch. Very clean and comfortable establishment. The food and service was very good. Tanner took good care of us. The steak and eggs were very tasty. Steak was cooked just right and he dipping sauce paired nicely. I can't wait to come back and try something else on the menu.

Yelp
First time here and was pleasantly pleased. I made reservations so we didn't have to wait too long. The waiting area outside was super nice. They even had a live entertainment while you waited and enjoyed your meal. The outside had a park like setting which was nice. So the kids can run around or you can bring a blanket to sit and wait. Our server Tanner was awesome. He's super nice and personable. He was very knowledgeable about the food, chef & menu. I had the steak and eggs. The steak was super tasty and cooked perfectly. The potato's were a little too crispy for me but still had a good flavor. Thank you Farmer and the seahorse for an enjoyable first time. I can't wait to come back and try something on the menu.

Yelp
Lovely little brunch spot. We had pop tarts, quiche, lobster benedict, chicken and waffles and this cool dish with delicious hash browns. I had a delicious smoothie too. They make theirs with oat milk. I like that their servers were friendly and remembered to wipe my table that had some food and a micro sized ant on it. I like that their bathrooms are exceptionally clean and spacious in the stalls weigh floor to ceiling doors and walls. Even though it was rainy, the indoors was still a pleasant place. I also noticed that dogs are welcome in the inside too. I would like to come back here when it isn't Lent. I gave up eggs and cheese so there is a lot I can try during the Easter season. I love how we get 50 days of feasting after 40 days of fasting. So, I'll be back to try more yumminess!

Yelp
We thought about celebrating a colleague's birthday at Farmer and The Seahorse, a nice restaurant located in La Jolla and conveniently close to both a golf course and the beach. We appreciated the outdoor setting, which had the ambiance of a park gathering with family and friends. The interior, especially the ceiling, is built of varnished wood with layers of wooden branches, creating a natural feel. The canopy setup also provided shade and comfort. For my meal, I opted for the double smash burger, which came with American cheese, caramelized onions, tomato, dill pickle, a special sauce and served on a Hawaiian bun. The burger was both juicy and flavorful. Overall, it was a nice experience.

Yelp
We stopped in for lunch at Farmer and the Seahorse today and were super pleasantly surprised! It was a beautiful day and we sat outside under the shade. Julia was our server and she was perfectly attentive! The menu is refreshed and spring ready! I high recommend the buratta and snap pea appetizer. The dungeness crab salad was excellent. The Mediterranean shrimp salad was a large portion size and perfect for a spring/summer day. It's definitely worth checking out if you haven't been lately!

Yelp
This is my favorite brunch spot! Our server, Ben, is fantastic--always friendly, professional, has a great vibe and makes our dining experience exceptional. A kind and cheerful server really makes a difference! I hope Ben gets the recognition he deserves. :)

Yelp
Ambiance is amazing here, they have live performers on the weekend and a very cute day date spot or to catch up with a group of friends. I used to go here for corporate meetings so quite used to the venue. Their food on the other hand is okay. I got the fried chicken waffle and it was very dry. My egg was overcooked too. Prices are okay as well.

Nicole A.

Yelp
I think we can all agree that Farmer and the Seahorse has an amazing ambience, delicious food, creative cocktails, and excellent service but have you all discovered the Spring Roll Salad special? This salad is the most flavorful and perfectly balanced dish I have EVER had. If you value good quality salads, like myself, I strongly encourage you to persistently ask the staff at Farmer & the Seahorse to add this dish to the menu. I for one will not give up.

Yelp
I would give it a 4.5, relative to the area. So far, I have not been impressed with the restaurants in San Diego. We came here after visiting the nearby Gliderport. The restaurant is a part of a building, Angelina. Parking is in the rear. After parking, you can either walk around the building to reach the entrance, which is on the outside of the building, or walk through the building. The restaurant is a large space with ample space between the tables. There are a couple of seating areas indoors and a generous outdoor space with heaters. We chose to sit outside next to a heater and were comfortable with the temperature. We chose to try the Baja Kampachi Aguachile for an appetizer. I ordered the Pan Roasted Sea Bass for my entrée and hubby ordered the Dungeness Crab Salad. The Kampachi a fish (described to us as similar to tuna) was prepared raw and sliced thinly in a citrus sauce, topped with tangerine slices and cilantro. The dish also had small chunks of avocado with toasted sesame seeds sprinkled over. All parts of the dish melded well together. The acidity of the citrus sauce paired well with the fish and the tangerine's sweetness complimented both. The sesame seeds added a nice texture and flavor to the overall dish. My sea bass came atop a pureed cauliflower with golden raisins and capers liberally strewn over. I chose a side salad over the fries. You can also choose to do half salad and half fries. The sea bass was nicely crisped on the outside and the inside was still reasonably tender. I really enjoyed the cauliflower puree. It was creamy with a deep flavor. The sweetness of the raisins and the sharp saltiness of the capers went well with the flavor of the cauliflower. All of this complimented the sea bass. A healthy portion of mixed greens came in a separate bowl. I loved that it was lightly dressed and although it didn't have anything else but the lettuce, I was pleased with the amount of dressing and the freshness. Had a bite of hubby's salad and it also had a citrus dressing over the entire salad. The Dungeness crab, sprinkled over the salad, was mixed in a mayo sauce. It seemed tasty. Service was friendly and timely. Surprisingly, much of the service was slow so far in San Diego so we were starting to think maybe that's just the culture here. But this restaurant proved differently. As mentioned, I have been unimpressed with the highly rated restaurants in San Diego. But this restaurant was impressive in its flavor combinations and freshness. Everything had an inspired and clean taste. Well done. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
This is a cute place to grab lunch when you're in the La Jolla area. Great out door seating (they have indoor as well). I would recommend coming before the lunch rush since it can get crowded. When I first walked in I thought wow you can have a wedding reception here - it's so cute! I tried the poke bowl which was descent and a smoothie which was really good!! Great place to take a date, friends or family. Parking is right behind - it's not a huge parking lot but big enough. Again I would come a little before the lunch hour rush. And make reservations if you can!

Yelp
Parking in SD can be a pain in the butt, so my friend and I picked this location for the convenience of parking and proximity to the freeway. Aside from being easy to get to, the restaurant is really nice. Ample outdoor and indoor seating. There was a live musician performing. Service was good. We weren't rushed but also not forgotten. We asked our server for her favs and they were the burrito and the chicken and waffles - we got both along with the blueberry and stracciatella. The toast was not bad. The chicken and waffles were pretty good except the waffle course been crispier, but the burrito was the fan favorite. It packed a lot of flavor and was filling. I'd come back! This would be a very nice place to do a brunch for a special occasion as well.

Yelp
Found this restaurant after UCSD graduation event. A very nice dinning spot from the inside out. Curbside appearance is welcoming, food is good and service is superior. Will definitely recommend this restaurant to friends.

Yelp
A great option for happy hour in the Torrey Pines area with a few small bite options and drinks. There is both indoor and outdoor/patio seating available and service was excellent. Great for a casual post work drink.

Yelp
I wanted to like this place unfortunately the majority of my order was not that great. I really enjoyed the lobster benedict but the latte tasted watery and overly sweet and the potato side dish was harder than rocks. I actually didn't know you can make potatoes inedible. First time for everything I suppose. The service was not that great either but it's not the worst I've had. It's a very beautiful restaurant with a gorgeous patio but my overall experience was mid.
google avatar

Yelp
3.5 so rounding up to 4. Needed a quick and light lunch in the Torrey Pines area so decided to try out Farmer and the Seahorse What we ordered: * Cinnamon Honey Cold Brew * Watermelon Limeade * Beet + Ricotta Salad * Italian Chicory Salad * Crispy Tuna + Rice Loved their watermelon limeade , it was super refreshing! Not everyone was a fan of the cinnamon honey cold brew, but probably because it was made with almond milk and lacked creaminess. Staff were, however, accommodating and provided some oatmilk to help with this! The Italian chicory salad was the winner and I loved the crispy chickpea crumble on it! The rice on the crispy tuna was nicely cooked but there was something missing in the flavor of of the tuna. Still good, but I might order something else next time. Overall, this place has some cute vibes!

Yelp
Ben rocks! Anticipated our needs and took excellent care of us. We always enjoy our brunches here!

Yelp
Went here for brunch and ordered the fish tacos, on the smaller side but no complaints except a bit too wet. Inside had a bar and feels very premium. Short drive to Torrey pines. Ample parking. Good service with live music.

Yelp
This restaurant popped up as a suggestion in my Yelp app. It is located in a completely random area near the Torrey Pines golf course. I decided to come here for a weekend brunch. The restaurant is located within the gorgeous Alexandria Conference Center with both indoor and outdoor seating. This is a perfect setting whether you want to celebrate a family event, have a work meeting, impress a date, or (like my partner and I) show up in gym attire thinking that we were just here to binge eat some good food. The food was ...ok. I was really eager to try the miso-salmon eggs benedict and bananas foster french toast. I think next time I will try different dishes: (1) Miso-cured salmon eggs benedict: - The poached egg is the focal point of an eggs benedict, and this egg was a bit unusual. I don't know if you can tell from my picture, but the egg was poached into an actual egg shape. So it did not cover much of the benedict, which means that when I broke the yolk, the yolk just kind of trickled down one corner. And I don't know if these were some kind of healthy low-cholesterol eggs, but there was barely any yolk. - Very stingy with the hollandaise sauce considering the salty cured flavor of the salmon. - The french fries were perfectly crisp and salted, really the best part of my entire meal; not sure if that should sadden or please me. (2) Bananas foster french toast: The whipped cream, rum-glazed bananas, and the syrup were so decadent and delicious. But (here is where tastes will differ, but this is my review so my taste takes priority) the toast was too crisp. The ideal french toast has a custardy texture on the inside (kind of like banana pudding) with buttery crispy edges. The thin slices of brioche toast used here were just seasoned crispy toast. Still delicious, but did not satisfy the french toast craving. Service was perfectly fine. We prefer quick service when it counts (taking the order, getting the check) and would not like to be bothered with small talk otherwise. Our server was just the right amount of attentiveness.

Yelp
I stumbled across this place on Yelp a few years ago and am so happy I did! it's a wonderful hidden gem. It's tucked away in its own isolated area away from other businesses so it's one of those places you won't just come across on your own. They have their own large parking lot too. Modern urban decor, and elevated ambiance with speakers all throughout the property so you can hear the music. There is indoor and outdoor (shaded) seating and a full bar. They also have live music during happy hour and brunch! Service was fantastic and the food was so good for both brunch and happy hour. Make a reservation!

Yelp
Went for happy hour near La Jolla! Highlights for me were the non-alcoholic beverages and the Ricotta Toast -- creamy, sweet from the peaches. The flatbread and the poke bowl were mouthwatering as well! I've always been a ginger beer fan, but not the biggest admirer of pineapple; the "SAGE IT AIN'T SO" was a bright and delicious tropical mocktail. The Watermelon Limeade was also super refreshing. Wished the service was a bit more attentive, we sat around for over 30 minutes without someone picking up the check during a busy happy hour. Otherwise, the restaurant was beautiful and the food was satisfying.

Yelp
Very nice place for brunch, no too crowded, relaxing ambience for sunny day. Steak from bunch menu was juicy ang cooked just right. Highly recommended

Yelp
This was a delicious and delightful lunch. My mom was visiting and I wanted to have some quality time with her on a Friday midday and take her somewhere special. I was not disappointed. Possibly the best crab cake I've had on this coast... mom and I couldn't decide between the tandoori halibut and Piri Piri chicken, so we sampled each other's meals. So much flavor, it was overwhelmingly delicious. It was the perfect location for lunch with a view during a heatwave, next time I'll remember to bring a scarf just in case. This is my new go to for lunch with a view.

Yelp
Farmer& The Seahorse is stylish, with an expensive outdoor patio and turf, and live music on weekends. A tad overpriced. My healthy bowl with curry and an egg was on the plain side and my green shake was pretty bland. Friendly service. A 20% gratitude was charged for our party of 5 automatically. Overpriced but nice looking venue.
google avatar

Joann T.

Yelp
Unfortunately, had to update this review further due to a recent brunch experience when I brought some out of town friends who wanted to try this place. Here are our collective reviews: Double smash burger: had a hair cooked into the patty and was still charged in full for the entree (most restaurants would comp this). It was pretty obvious, I'm surprised they didn't QC their food before bringing it out. Also it wasn't "smashed". The burger was soggy (it should be flat and crispy), unevenly cooked (extremely rare in some parts and over cooked in others) and the patty had no flavor whatsoever. $20 for horribly bland burger. Harvest bowl: also incredibly bland - just a bowl with random grains and leaves tossed in, nothing special Waffles & crispy chicken: both friends who ordered it said it was an average and flavorless dish, the potatoes tasted like they just boiled and fried it without seasoning. Avocado smoothie: there was one giant chunk of avocado that was missed and just sitting in the drink

Yelp
Our favorite place when we visit San Diego. Super friendly staff, great food and wonderful experience every time we are here. Always looking at trying new and different menu items. Atmosphere is a 10 and this is our go to place.

Yelp
Great brunch! Easy parking and cool chill vibe. Celebrated a birthday. I liked that the umbrellas are on wheels so you know your table will have shade when needed. We were thankful to stay a full 2 hours plus at our table chatting (we confirmed with the host that this was ok). I would come again!

Yelp
Really loved this brunch. The ambiance was stellar, a great spot, we sat outside and it was a lovely day. The service was wonderful. My friend was not thrilled with the cup of decaf coffee she got and without us even asking our waitress did everything she could to correct the issue. The whole experience felt very upscale.

Yelp
This is one of the best brunch and lunch places in San Diego! The food, service, and everything about this place just makes it amazing. They had an Orange Cauliflower dish the last time I stopped by and it was one of the best dishes I have had. It was so delicious and flavorful. I was so impressed!

Yelp
I used to jog by this place all the time when I worked nearby and never knew it was a restaurant until a friend recommended it for brunch recently. Unfortunately it does seem like they recently shrunk their menu down, and a lot of the things we had planned to order were no longer being offered. I ended up just going with their Miso-Cured Salmon Benedict since benedicts are my go-to brunch item. While the fingerling potatoes were good, I'm not sure if the benedicts were worth the price point as they were pretty mediocre. I also didn't notice the miso flavor at all. Overall, nothing too special about the food after their menu shrunk, but I'd say this is somewhere you go to more for the vibes. I wish I knew about this place when I used to work nearby, since it makes for the perfect after-work happy hour spot. Huge parking lot which is nice, it's a pleasant surprise to find a brunch spot in San Diego where you don't have to stress or fight for parking. Easy to make reservations online too!

Yelp
First off let me say that this restaurant is gorgeous. The outdoor waiting area, inside it's downright lovely. And maybe the large amount of time you spend there is the point and I'm just not the type of person to appreciate it. Could be a venue that caters to Ladies Who Lunch and want to spend 3 hours there, and I'm just not the person to appreciate. Went there with my family during the week. Had to wait about 40 minutes for a table despite half the tables being open. But the waiting area was like enjoying the sun in the park. Would have been nicer if there was water offered as it was pretty warm. Hostess was very nice and finally got us seated After about 15 minutes someone came and took our drink order. Drinks arrive another 15 minutes later. 10 minutes after that we were able to order food. 3 burgers and a cobb salad. This took the kitchen forever to get out. After waiting 30 minutes, I went out to the parking lot to make some work calls as my lunch hour was already over. I returned after another 20 minutes and the food was still not served. There were a ton of staff running around but most of the tables didn't have food. I'm not sure what was going on in the kitchen but 3 burgers and a salad just isn't an hour plus get. Good finally came and it was pretty blah. It was a regular burger nothing special. Cobb salad looked decent but the food wasnt anything I'd recommend or return for. If you want ambiance and a place to hang out for a 3 hour lunch this place might be right up your alley...but it wasn't for me.

Yelp
A hidden gem! This place is truly amazing! The food is phenomenal, the decor is modern/chic/urban, the ambiance is welcoming & inviting, and the service is stellar. I rarely give 1 or 5 star reviews because a place is not usually "all bad" or "perfect" but Farmer & The Seahorse was perfection! A big 5 without hesitation! We ordered the Steak & Eggs, the French Omelette and the Truffle Mushroom Toast. Everything was amazing! And I had the best Bloody Mary which was the perfect amount of spicy/tomato-y/vinegary with a sampling of pickled veggies in it. My husband's latte and birthday PB Cookies were also yummy! Ingredients are fresh, flavors are innovative and the execution in dish preparation and plating are spot on. Definitely stop in, you will find your new favorite Brunch spot too! We can't wait to visit again!

Yelp
We came here for brunch with friends on the weekend. First, I thought it was a little pricy for what it was. I will say though that the ambiance was nice and very relaxing on a Sunday morning. I got the chilaquiles (green chilaquiles) which did not disappoint. Very tasty with egg and avocado on them. My husband got the burger which he wasn't very impressed with. It was okay. We got our kiddo the chicken tenders with fries which isn't listed on the menu but our waiter very kindly told us that they had kid options off of the menu. We also got her the fruit bowl which was nicely piled up with fruit. A good serving. The service was great and the wait staff were attentive.

Yelp
Ambiance and outdoor seating is a huge win. You can get reservations easy. I like coming here with work friends or meeting professional folk. But this place is very friend and family friendly. They have some awesome non alcoholic drink options. Their menu is great and I love their fried chicken sammie.

Yelp
First off, this is one of the nicest, most well-appointed restaurants I've been to in awhile. Large, modern, and plenty of seating. Also, the staff was friendly. But when me and my wife showed up earlier this pm, they really should've simply told us they were closed for a private event. On our way in, a couple of older ladies were heading out. We asked them for their recommendations. They mentioned the seas bass and a salad-perfect because we like those also. We entered and were greeted by a friendly younger woman who had us sit down at the waiting area near the bar/to-go orders area. She said the manager would come shortly to seat us at a room wherein we'd be able to eat since they were prepping the dining area for the MNFG casino night (private event). Almost 30 minutes later .... The young lady returned, apologized for our lengthy wait, and had us take an elevator down to the 1st floor to an empty banquet room. Weird. A few minutes later, a young man is ready to take our order. When I ask him for the dinner menu, he says they're only serving HH selections at that time. Weirder. Mind you, the HH menu had maybe 6-7 items on it but since the wife is GF, it was more like 1-2 items for her. What happened to the sea bass and salad the two women had mentioned?? We asked for a couple more minutes to decide what to order. Once he left, my wife said, "You do realize bro not coming back, right?" And she was 1000% correct. He didn't. After another 15 mins, we decided it was time to go. Again, staff meant well but definitely did not prioritize THE ONLY TWO patrons in the massive space they call a restaurant.

Yelp
We came out on a whim, just wanted to try a new brunch spot and had no idea this gem of a restaurant existed in Torrey Pines. When we first saw the place, I was in awe by the beautiful restaurant. Everything looked so modern and there was live music playing in the back. We did not have reservations but had no problem walking in and grabbing a table outside. On cold days, you can request for a blanket! Truffled Mushroom Toast: Comes sliced in half. It would be pretty hard to share with more than two people, especially if you add an egg on it. The toast itself was crunchy and there was a nice, subtle truffle flavor in every bite. The goat cheese kind of mellowed everything out though. Short Rib Benedict: The price goes up because of the short rib. I liked it but might be hard justifying two pieces for $26. I enjoyed the fact that the english muffin had some crispy edges and it wasn't too hard. It comes with a side of fries or salad and I chose fries, upgraded to truffle fries. Breakfast Burrito: It was good, but nothing really amazing. We had the option to put both chorizo and bacon. Overall, the meal was delicious and the amount of food was just slightly more than enough for two people. It's kind of pricey though so definitely not something to come to every week.

Yelp
Meh. The food was really fantastic and the outdoor patio area is really beautiful. Chicken and waffles and salmon benedict were both delicious. But the service was very spotty and the hostesses were super inefficient in seating people. We had reservations and ended up waiting a good 15 min before we were seated. There were several tables that were empty and staged. When we finally got to our table, the waitress was no where to be found. And then she sporadically came around. Drinks took forever and when my husband finished his coffee, she didn't even ask if he wanted another one. The kicker is the 4% health subsidy tacked on to the bill. What is that? Just raise the prices to cover your overhead please so I know what I'm getting into ahead of time. Not sure I would come back.

Yelp
This is a great spot down the hill in la Jolla, the cool breeze comes off the hill and provides a natural air conditioner , and the view is beautiful. We started with the crab cake, and it was the best one I have ever had, beautifully seasoned perfect crust. My mouth is watering, just writing about it. For the main dishes, we ordered one of the chicken, fish, and steak and shared between the 3 of us. Everything was wonderful and delicious. Our waiter was on point, and we never went without! Thank you for a wonderful experience. We will be back soon.

Yelp
Interesting tucked away location in the Torrey Pines business park. We went there for brunch and were quite impressed with the spacious and airy outdoor seating. Since they are in an industrial building, they also have a very spacious indoor seating. My salmon Benedict was good but could have been better if it wasn't so cold. The poached eggs tasted like they were premade. My wife's Foster French toasts were dried and too sweet. Our lattes with oat and almond milk were perfectly made. Our server was friendly and accommodating. Overall, great ambiance ( for big groups or parties) and service but average when it comes to food quality.

Yelp
First meal of the new year! This place is tucked back in an industrial part of Torrey Pines. Not where you expect to see a restaurant. Searched for brunch and this place showed up, so we made a reservation! We wanted to share a couple or so items. We got the miso salmon toast and whipped feta dip to start. We got the Sunrise over Nashville for the main entry. This was decent enough for two people! The salmon tast was loaded. I think I was expecting slivers of salmon, but was pleasantly surprised to see how much salmon they put on the toast! This was so good! The whipped feta dip was pretty darn good! I live dips. They gave enough pita with the dip. Sometimes you never know if you will get enough bread, pita or chips if you order a dip, you know? The Sunrise over Nashville is their take on chicken and waffle. This was also pretty good. I'm glad we decided to split this! The restaurant has a nice open and airy feel! They have a huge outdoor patio! We were inside though, and good thing, because it was raining off and on! I would definitely come back! Just note that I think they are only really open on the weekdays for breakfast and lunch and then brunch on the weekends. I think they may have happy hour, but not sure. If they do, I think it's on Thursday and Friday nights. If you're working in the area and have time for breakfast and lunch, try this place!

Yelp
Power tip: a nice looking facility. Disappointing to have to wait so long when there are plenty of tables outside, but probably because they were understaffed. Surprisingly, I think I enjoyed the chicken Chilaquiles more than the lobster benny, and the former was surprisingly filling, despite its deceptively small appearance, and a good value at $17. The live music was a nice bonus. The 4% service charge is now becoming the norm of these fancier places.

Yelp
This is a breakfast/lunch spot for those working in biomedical in Torrey Pines, but we were nearby, I found it on Yelp. What a beautiful, sumptuous spot! Well appointed, trees everywhere. The decor was simple, chic- yet casual, kinda upscale, and beachy! Our bartender was nice, but forgot to put our lunch order in, no matter- they gave us half off of our bottle of wine; so nice- without any complaints from us at all, which I thought was classy of them. We ordered the lobster roll with salad, and the oyster and shrimp poor-boy special. The poor-boy was good, too much bread and deeply fried, but tasty. The lobster roll was incredible; fresh tarragon and chives, filled with sweet tender lobster and shrimp. The roll was the perfect size, lightly buttered and toasted. It was my idea of heaven! I might dream about it!! If I'm ever in the area, you can bet I will be back, but I'm not sharing the lobster roll next time!

Yelp
The music was great to listen to while enjoying a well gathered and prepared dish. I had the steak and eggs. The service with Francesca was delightful she was on a solid A Game!

Yelp
Recently attended a corporate event here and have swung by before for brunch. Lovely decor inside and out. Solid food and service. On the pricier side but understandable given the area.

Yelp
Came for breakfast on a Monday morning. Seated right away. We had coffee, and fried rice with eggs and the farmer's breakfast. Service was friendly and food came out quickly. Nice open space inside and outside. Looking forward to coming back again when I'm in town.

Yelp
I love this place. Usually come after I hike Torrey pines with my wife and sit at the bar. Their smash burger is top notch. They have a delicious hard kombucha on tap. The crudo appetizer is amazing along with the Italian chop are my favorite. Fun fact: you can order any entree as a wrap and it's so good! Highly recommend this place just get there on the earlier side for the weekends it can fill up quick if you don't have a reservation.

Yelp
You'll find it tucked away in an industrial/business part of Torrey Pines. It's easy to make reservations online, although one was not needed for our weekday meal. Dining area is outside with enough heat lamps and umbrellas. Service was good and the food was 8/10. We went with the Miso Salmon Eggs Benedict and Breakfast Burrito. The burrito had the right amount of warmth for the San Diego chilly 55F morning. The English muffin was only slightly warm when it got to us, but the salmon made up for it. It was just what I wanted, fresh and flavorful and paired well with the hollandaise sauce. The side of fingerling potatoes could've used more crisp on the outside and it's seasoning was a tad overdone. Background music was a chill playlist and complemented the environment.
