Farmers' Market Coop of East Liberty

In recent months (late 2025 through early 2026), this location has been a major disappointment. I have noticed that some produce items display four-digit PLU codes, indicating they are sourced from a grocery store rather than from local farmers. I understand that not all products sold here are farmer-grown, and those items are typically labeled accordingly so customers are aware. However, in this case, only one or two items carry PLU labels, which raises concerns. It is unclear whether grocery store produce is being mixed in with farmers market products, or whether all of it is store-sourced and some labels were simply removed or overlooked. I am sharing this review to raise awareness. As a chef—and more importantly as a parent—I intentionally chose to support the farmers market and provide organic produce for my family. This experience has been disappointing and undermines trust. I hope both customers and farmers are aware of the situation and that greater transparency will follow.

Great produce, delicious baked pastries, Asian goodies, Indian food and sundries, shrooms and shoots, and a wonderful selection of really fresh meat. The venders are really warm, down to earth, nice folk. Add this market to your Saturday shopping. Come early.

The produce that I purchased here today was excellent. It included grape tomatoes with a complex, sweet taste, corn that was sweet and delicate and tasty peas. The vendors were friendly and more than willing to answer questions about the produce and make recommendations. In general, the prices aren’t posted so for some items I asked the price and then decided whether to purchase.

First time visiting. The place had a few different vendors with plenty of fresh produce at decent prices. (There was a band playing...cool:) and although I only bought veggies, there was baked goods and meat available. I will definitely go again.

The indoor Farmers Market Cooperative of East Liberty is open every Saturday morning all year. The farmers are friendly and are happy to share info. Availability varies with seasons and vendor schedules but generally include a variety of dried beans, pickled items, ethnic cuisine, and noodles in addition to produce, dairy and meat vendors. Go early for best selection (if you arrive after 11.30 am, things may be sold out and vendors are getting ready to pack up). There is a free parking lot next to the building, plus street parking (and located very near to Home Depot).

This year-round farmer's market provides produce, fresh bread, farm canned goods like pickles and preserves, eggs, meat, an extensive cheese case, hummus, Indian food, world market finds and wooden gifts, plus a coffee and juice bar. Best place to stock up for the week!

A great little farmer's market just behind the Home Depot I'm East Liberty. Ethnic foods, fresh eggs, organic veggies and meats. Stop in here between 5:00 am to noon on Saturdays and you will be pleasantly surprised!
