The 18 Best Farmers Markets In LA

"Known for its absolutely huge lineup of specialty produce vendors—and for being a favorite among LA chefs—the Santa Monica Farmers Market is hands-down the crown jewel of SoCal farmers markets. You’ll find everything from sustainably raised prawns to peak-season peaches to heirloom corn masa and artisanal goat cheeses. Make sure to check their Instagram for updates since there’s always something going on here, like folkloric dance performances, live jazz, and communal sound baths (it is Santa Monica, after all). Open Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, 8am-1pm." - sylvio martins, garrett snyder

The 26 Best Things to Do in Los Angeles

"The Los Angeles area is famous for having a farmers market every day of the week, and the Santa Monica Farmers Market, held on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, is the mother of them all. Taking up several city blocks, the market is lined with seasonal fruits, vegetables, and other products and provisions. There are some remarkable splurge items that you won't find other farmers markets; for instance, black truffles, bergamot, emu eggs, and sea urchin. This farmers market has a huge following within L.A.'s restaurant industry.  Some of the city's most famous chefs, including Niki Nakayama of n/naka and Michael Cimarusti of Providence, shop here. You'll also be among locals, many of them regulars, shopping for their home kitchens." - Maxwell Williams

Sure! Here’s a One of the best farmers markets I’ve ever been to! It’s incredibly clean, beautifully organized, and truly a gem in the heart of Santa Monica. A big thank you to the city for putting so much care into creating such a healthy and vibrant space. Everything here is fresh, natural, and genuinely organic. If you care about your health and want to support local farmers and sustainable living, this is the place to be. Highly recommended for anyone who values quality, community, and a healthy lifestyle. Don’t miss it!

Google
I work in DTSM and always step away from my office to find the best fresh food at the Wednesday farmers market. The vendors are so knowledgeable and happy to share more about their produce with you. There are always some fun seasonal items to try. Support small farmers 💜

In A Nutshell: -I really like the Santa Monica Farmer's Market in downtown on Saturday's. -The prices aren't too crazy which is what makes it attractive. -The veggies are very bright in color & plentiful. -When you buy produce in a California farmer's market you are definitely getting a fresh product. -I really liked the seafood stand, where you can purchase Santa Barbara uni for $16. Overall, this is one of my favorite farmer's markets I've ever been to, truly farm-to-your table every weekend!

Google
My review is for the Wednesday farmer’s market from 8 am to 1 pm. This market is one of the best in Los Angeles because 1) it features a few vendors that you won’t see at other LA markets; 2) it’s in downtown Santa Monica just a couple blocks from the ocean; 3) it’s easy to find metered street parking nearby (2-3 hours); 4) it’s far less crowded than, say, the Sunday Hollywood farmer’s market, at least before noon (but the Hollywood market is great, too); 5) walking up and down the rows of vendors, you’re likely to see at least one or two vegetables and herbs you’ve never seen in your life, or at least only read about; and special varieties of fruits and vegetables you’ve never heard of. It’s always said that this is where many top restaurant chefs come to buy their produce. I believe this, but since I know few living top chefs by sight, I can’t be certain. I’m sure they probably come as early as possible to have the best selection. It is fun to take pictures here, but I was quickly told “No pictures, please” last week by a well-known vendor as I was about to snap a photo of some particularly appealing dusky-skinned grapes. First time that’s happened to me. Note: unlike most markets, there are few to no prepared-food vendors at the Wed market, but you can buy raw meat and poultry, cheeses, bread, dried fruits, nuts, olive oil, and flower. In March and April you can get lilacs brought in by farms far enough north, though beware some of the pricing (actually, for beautiful lilacs at a less dear price, go to Ha’s Apple Farm’s stand at the Sunday Hollywood market). The earlier you can go the better. At certain times of year, popular vendors can sell out of things well before closing. It’s also more peaceful. As it gets towards noon, particularly in the summer, there are not only more people but also more street corner musical performances of the bad-karaoke variety and the effects can get cacophonous.

Google
Wonderful market for vegetables, flowers and other delights. Fell upon this while visiting the area on a Saturday. Was busy, but easy to navigate and look and shop.

Google
Visiting from Australia and just love all the fresh produce, organic and amazing citrus. We have so many farmers markets in Melbourne and great to visit in Santa Monica. Worth the visit to meet local growers and sample the amazing quality of produce.

Yelp
This is a super tiny farmer's market but it seems to have some good stuff. Mostly produce and less prepared food stands like the farmer's markets I'm used to, although there are a couple of stands with baked goods. I heard that Harry's Berries had delicious strawberries, but we came too late. It was only 11:30 but they had already sold out of all the strawberries. We did pick up some strawberry preserves and 100% strawberry juice for a reasonable price. The strawberry juice came frozen and it was a nice treat to melt it down while walking to the pier and drinking it like a slush. I recommend this experience.

Yelp
Farmers markets make me smile. It is a wonderful place to get fresh produce from farmers and I have always enjoyed a good farmers market. The Saturday Santa Monica farmers market is no different. I haven't been to this one in years (pandemic fears, safety fears, etc...) and I'm so glad I visited! While this market is not a ginormous as the Wednesday market, it is pretty good. My friend and I found everything we needed for the week and had a great time overall. The produce here was so fresh and ample. Prices are slightly high but everything is expensive nowadays. We bought fruit, juice, lots of great veggies, and even some tasty bread. I call that a win! As we walked up and down the market, I noticed a fair amount of security walking and around the perimeter. I felt pretty safe overall and able to enjoy and relax. Parking is available in nearby public lots (free for 1 1/2 hrs) and relatively inexpensive if you choose to linger and have brunch or walk around like we did. While this isn't what I'd call an amazing farmers market. I think it's pretty good and I wouldn't mind returning for a repeat visit, fresh air, and lots of good produce. LOCATION: 4/5 FOOD: 4/5 SERVICE: 4/5 VALUE: 4/5 AMBIANCE: 4/5 PET FRIENDLY: YES (but signs say no) CLEANLINESS: 4/5 PARKING: 4/5 (free public lots)

Yelp
Great little farmers market line in the streets of Santa Monica. They have everything flowers, plants, meat, eggs, milk, cheese, all kinds of different kinds of animals, chopped up and frozen and ready to go fruit and vegetables everywhere. Everybody's a family farmer so there was a good ambience I'd go back there again

Yelp
Such a fun and bountiful farmers market! I come here specifically to purchase the best strawberries from Harry's Berries. The flowers are also so beautiful here-- you can't get quality flowers like these in your grocery market. There are many parking structures nearby with free parking for the first two hours. This is such a great place to stroll through on a Saturday morning.

Yelp
One of the best farmers markets I've been too! So much fresh fruit and veggies. Local vendors from around the area. I loved the oranges. Lots of different ones to choose from. The iconic Harry's berries drink was delicious.

Yelp
I enjoyed shopping at this farmers market for organic and healthy foods. To beat the afternoon rush (and get parking), I went early in the morning as soon as they opened. The smell of fresh baked bread and the assortment of eggs and produce were amazing. There was also a large variety of lovely flowers that I could not pass up on. Great place for a leisurely stroll on a weekend. This farmers market is not quite as big as others so you can easily check out all the vendor stalls. After you see the vibrant colors and taste the more natural, fresh quality of farmers markets' fruits and vegetables, it's hard to go back to a conventional grocery store. This is as fresh as it gets in LA.

Yelp
I prefer visiting the Farmer's Market midweek. It's less crowded. A plethora of floral, fruit and veggie options. I regret not bringing cash because I wanted to purchase the freshly squeezed bottles of orange juice... Oh well! Maybe next time ;) The table stacked with the small pots of homemade jam caught my eye right away! I briefly passed the table but made a quick u-turn. I went for the Strawberry jam and a small basket of raspberries.
google avatar

Yelp
What a great farmers market with all the fresh fruit you can think of, fresh pressed juices, flowers, breads, olives and so many venders! We got Al different kinda of oranges and grapefruits for a easy breakfast in the hotel! Tried lots of things Michigan does not offer!

Yelp
Santa Monica Farmers Market is on 3rd and Arizona in Santa Monica. Not to be confused with the other farmers market on Virginia Ave, closer to Venice Beach. Both markets are open Saturdays and sometimes during the week. Was a frequent shopper here years ago, but come less frequently because the farmers market in Beverly Hills is closer and has probably the same if not better selection of organic produce and flowers I like, plus more importantly it's closer to my home. Note, today there are no miniature animals for petting, camel rides as there are most Sundays in Beverly Hills farmers market. Over a decade ago, an elderly man accidentally drove his vehicle into this farmers market and fatally injured many people. When that incident occurred lots of family and friends contacted me to make sure I was not a victim or hurt...I was not, thank God. Since that horrible incident, concrete barricades are put in place so that no vehicles can enter, and for preventative measures. But that horrific incident left many people avoiding this market for a while despite the barricades. Today, I was in the area and decided to revisit this market. Turns out, lot of the same vendors from the farmers market in Beverly Hills are here too. One newbee French Baker was here and had some yummy baked goods. I had to try the baguette, which is one of the items I gage how good a French baker is. An almond croissant is the other I use to gage :) If you get here early, you can find metered street parking close by. There are city public parking structures a couple blocks away. Lucky to get here earlier than usual to avoid the crowds. Most of the vendors are nice, and sometimes you can find unusual produce (passion fruit) or snag a deal on something you love...for me avocado! If you're in the Santa Monica area on a Saturday from 08:00-12noon, the farmers market is worth a visit, and go early as the good stuff runs out!

Yelp
Wednesdays here are everything. There are so many amazing vendors who are knowledgeable about their foods and products. I love getting fruits and veggies here versus the grocery store.
google avatar

Nijole T.

Yelp
One of the best farmers markets in the area! So many vendors, mostly organic and all local goods. Located right by the 3rd street promenade this is an ideal stop on a sunny Saturday morning! Highly recommended!
google avatar

Gohar K.

Yelp
One of my most favorite farmers markets in LA. Love going on Wednesdays more cause it's less crowded and I believe there are more vendors than Saturday. Friendly vendors and fresh products at all times. There is a vendor here that sales eatable flowers and I love buying it every Wednesday for my business. Also I come here for the micro greens. Can't find it at every farmers market but you will always find it here. My most favorite s are the basil and opal basil micro greens. So delicious topped over salads or used in sandwiches.
google avatar

I-Lin L.

Yelp
Lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. Also saw pistachios, honey, and butter for sale. Prices seem a bit high, but everything looks to be of high quality. The vendors are super friendly, and everything is marked for social distancing right now.
google avatar

Saira S.

Yelp
They have a great selection of produce here. Also meats, cheese, honey, and pastries. You can use EBT; go to the information booth and they'll give you tokens for the EBT amount you want to use. The almond croissant from Frog's Bakery is really tasty and filling.
google avatar

Yelp
If you're in Santa Monica on a Saturday, you should definitely stop by this farmers market. Great selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. There is also honey, dried fruit, fish, meat, eggs, and gorgeous fresh flowers. I discovered lemon cucumbers and absolutely love them. Customer service is very helpful if you have any questions.
google avatar

Kislev A.

Yelp
You could legitimately do all your grocery shopping at the Santa Monica Farmer's Markets. There are meat and seafood vendors, soaps, vegetables, fruits, flowers, oils, spices, sauces, condiments, juices, etc. There are also street musicians here now. And petitioners. And others who need to reach the general public.
google avatar

Meghan D.

Yelp
I hope this page is for the Saturday Farmers market since it doesn't specify. Now I have to preface this by saying that because I frequent the Wednesday market, so Im slightly spoiled. Although pretty small compared to the Wednesday one, there are some different products you can find at this one. There do seem to be a lot of repeat vendors but there are some new ones too. My favorite things about this one is the fresh juices one farm stand has. Especially their no sugar added fruit punch. Its only made of fruits! You have to get there early because that kind sells out first. Another thing I found was they have a fresh seafood stand in the very middle intersection and I even saw a guy standing there eating a fresh sea urchin right out of the shell. I would like to buy something from here one day but it is fun to watch. This one closes an hour earlier than the one on Wednesday
google avatar

Dayna G.

Yelp
One of the best Farmers Markets, ever! Located in Santa Monica. Don't forget your cash. Most if not all didn't take credit cards. I definitely can't wait to go back and actually purchase some produce. We did bring home some delicious cheese to Texas.
google avatar

Tim X.

Yelp
Maybe I've been spoiled by the farmers markets in San Francisco, but this place is so expensive it's a joke. Came here on my first weekend after moving to LA and was shocked at the lack of variety and prices. Cheapest apples were $3/lb, and peaches were $4/lb. That's double what you'll find at solid supermarkets around here. And for some reason, literally have the vendors had tomatoes. Do Los Angelenos eat an abnormal amount of tomatoes? I digress. What's worse is that there is only meter and garage parking in the area unless you're cool with walking 10+ blocks. Won't ever be back here again. Daylight robbery.
google avatar

Alfeo J.

Yelp
One of the most interesting markets so far. I do feel bad how saturated this market is with veggies. Which isn't really a bad thing. But sometimes I feel like some of these are fake farmers. But I respect a lot of people here, young farmers and entrepreneurs.
google avatar

Thuc V.

Yelp
This farmers market has a great selection of fresh vegetables and fruits. There are a few other options such as fresh eggs, dried fruits, fresh juices, meat and cheese. My favorites were the raspberries and blackberries ($5/each), and the yummy pains au chocolat ($4/each) at the French pastries booth. You can park in the visitor's parking parade nearby. The first 90 minutes is free. Once done, take a stroll in the streets of Santa Monica downtown and soak up the sun.
google avatar

Kelly T.

Yelp
This is without a doubt what I miss most in La la land. There is just no other farmer's market out there like this one where you can just about get anything and everything...I zeroed in on the seafood and the large variety of organic vegetables...
google avatar

Adina K.

Yelp
I dream of waking up here but sadly, I don't live close. Produce is fantastic and vendors are friendly. Miss being here!
google avatar

Dave B.

Yelp
Convenient and surprisingly not too crowded. However, they do not let leashed dogs in with you for some reason and warn you that if you say it's a service dog and it is not it is "punishable by law."
google avatar

CeCe C.

Yelp
I love coming to the farmer's market on Saturdays, but preferably on Wednesdays because it's BIGGER!! I always run into the most random people here, like my pediatrician from many years ago! However, I don't like buying things at the farmer's market because everything costs so much! T.T It makes me want to grow more veggies in my backyard! 3.5 stars because... - I've been coming here all my life - Some produces are reasonably priced than others... but your have to take the time to look around - The wide variety of stuff sold here - Love the people here... love to people watch! - I enjoy getting breakfast here at the farmer's market Minus 1.5 stars because... - Well, overall everything is quite pricey. Persimmons $3/lb, Artichokes $5, Strawberries $12 for 3 baskets - Saturdays, it's small... just one street (2 blocks) of vendors Go green: take the Big Blue Bus or Metro towards downtown Santa Monica
google avatar

William B.

Yelp
I knew that not all strawberries are the same, and that fresh strawberries purchased on the street in Southern California are a special incarnation of the fruit. I did not know, however, that even at the Santa Monica Farmers Market the variance between different vendors could be so high. On a friend's recommendation I bought some Gaviotas at Harry's Berries, and they were delicious. But being a skeptical, trust-but-verify sort, I also bought another box from the vendor across the street that was half the price. They were so inferior to Harry's Berries that I didn't even bother to finish them, threw them away, and went back to Harry's for a second box. For my second box at Harry's I learned they had a single flat of Seascapes and I had to try them. These strawberries put the previous ones to shame. Barely sweet, dense, and intense, these are the strawberries I'm still thinking about more than 24 hours later. So trust me, go to Harry's, ask for Seascapes. (I know this whole episode sounds excessive, but life is too short to pass up the perfect strawberries.)
google avatar

Leslie P.

Yelp
I came to this Farmers Market because I was in the area. I wanted to buy some things, but I couldn't because I was going shopping later and didn't want the produce to rot in my car; it was a pretty warm day out. There was a lot of variety, but this Farmers is on the smaller side. There were lots of produce stands, a few flower/plant stands, and specialty stands like olive oil, and dried fruits. I did not see any, but one, food stand. The one I saw were for raw oysters. I really like one of the flower stands because they had really pretty flowers that I have never seen elsewhere! Note: Saturdays 8:30 pm - 1 pm
google avatar

Bradley B.

Yelp
This is my Saturday ritual, be there by 8:30AM or you can miss a lot. The farmers only bring the best of what they have each week and you have a pick of the lot if you are early. I start with the shiitake mushroom dude. He will more than likely be out of mushrooms by 12:30. They are a treat because he grows them in wood boards so they don't need cleaning, no dirt, cool! When in season off to the strawberry chick they carry 7 types of delicious berries. Then the potato dude for the best fingerlings. Then pick up an orchid for $10-$15 bucks. At that price you can buy one a week. Now pick some herbs. Then avocados again 4 to 6 different types to choose from. Don't forget to get broccoli with the flowers still intact. At the end of the street find some of the best organic grapefruit in California. This of course is just the beginning. My biggest problem is not bringing enough bags to carry everything in. There are a few ATMs just off fourth street. You need cash baby!
google avatar

Steve V.

Yelp
This experience is like combining the best of both worlds. You've got all of the farmer's and their organic fare, and then if you feel the need, corporate America is right there at your fingertips since this is located partially on the Third Street Promenade. The selection of veggies and fruits is decent. There are great flower stands, but the places to eat are few. That's when you can just go to the Promenade and get whatever you need to eat. It is often crowded and parking is an issue. You can just either park in one of the garages or find a metered spot. Those are tough though and you might end up with a long walk.
google avatar

Jonathan R.

Yelp
Hands down the best Farmers market in SOCal. The Wednesday market is bigger and better than Saturday. I drive all the way from Long Beach just to shop this market if I am putting together a special meal where I really want to express seasonality. You should always go early, as the good stuff gets snapped up quickly by the restaurant chefs who shop here. Been going to this market for as long as I can remember, and will always be a fan and advocate.
google avatar

Kat M.

Yelp
4.5 stars My family treks from Southbay to this Farmer's Market. We always have a great time and stock up on many goods. It isn't as big as the Wednesday Farmer's Market (my favorite), but this fits our schedule better. We bought zucchinis the size of a baby last time we were there. They were delicious. I also stock up on dates. The cheese place is very good and has a large variety of organic cheeses. They have great oranges and strawberries. The prices are not the cheapest as other reviewers have mentioned. Still, the quality of goods is very high.
google avatar

Andrew G.

Yelp
This is by far the biggest farmers market I have ever been to. It starts off at Arizona and 4th and goes to almost every block leading to ocean. They have a wide range of items available. Prices are decent for organic/pest free veggies and fruits. The farmers are super nice and will cut things open for you to taste before you buy them. The oranges and the strawberrys are super sweet. Today I bought 3 boxes of strawberrys for only $5. They do discount all their items toward the end of the day.
google avatar

Cindy C.

Yelp
I'm from Boston, which sets a very high bar for farmer's markets. The Santa Monica farmer's market had a fun Marimba band with outdoor seating which gave it a very happy atmosphere. Being so close to the beach makes it a great location. I was hoping to have breakfast there, but found the quality of the fare ordinary: nothing I saw would win blue ribbons or even honorable mention at the county fair. I could see they were using frozen and bagged veggies and pre-grated cheese in a lot of the stalls. The coffee tasted as though it were reheated a gazillion times. The $5 coconut drink was cute, but not as tasty as fresh coconuts I've cracked open myself. So, if you are looking for a foodie experience, you likely won't find it here. I thought the produce looked like supermarket produce, not freshly picked from the family farm, and very expensive.
google avatar

Anthony P.

Yelp
If your ever in Santa Monica on a Saturday, check out the farmers market on Arizona and 3rd Street. You can park in the structure on 2nd street between Arizona and Wilshire. It's free for the first 90 minutes which is AMAZING! (Especially in Santa Monica) The farmers market has a bunch of great local/organic produce and they're always giving out samples which is great to try before you buy. I also always enjoy listening to the street performers on 3rd Street. Check out @SethBaerMusic on Instagram
google avatar

Derek D.

Yelp
Great product, baked goods, fruit. It just makes your mouth water walking around seeing the things
google avatar

Carey W.

Yelp
This was a smaller but satisfying farmers market. Pretty good selection, but on the pricier side (although it's worth it to support local farmers..) I love walking around with my toothpicks and trying all the different samples of things, which a lot of the vendors put out. I came out of here buying pluots, peaches, strawberries, apricots, wax beans, zucchini, an apple and rhubarb popover, apple cider, and I wanted to get the delicious cherries, but they were expensiiiive. They had a lot of fresh produce stands, but on the other side there were cheese, flowers, pastries, olives/olive oil, among other fruit/veggie places. All in all, very pleasant and friendly. Bonus: it is conveniently located on the promenade, so it's a quick walk to more shopping or dinner.
google avatar

Masha K.

Yelp
Who knew produce can have flavor. I didn't until I started frequenting my neighborhood farmers markets. It's true on Saturday there are less vendors compared to Wednesday. You can still find all the essentials and have the time to stroll at your leisure without any pressure to get back to the workweek.
google avatar

Ethan J.

Yelp
its the same people as the ones on Wednesday :) .. looking forward to the one today :) There's a guy that sells walnut oil for $30 , just saw the same brand inside WF for $13 :)
google avatar

Stephen C.

Yelp
Not much variety. I mean, this place would be great if I only shopped for nectarines, shishito peppers, and tomatoes.
google avatar

Cosmic W.

Yelp
Best Farmers Market in LA! Lots of produce booths, lots of samples. And don't forget some sourdough bread!
google avatar

Betty N.

Yelp
**BITE-SIZE SNICKERS FARMERS' MARKET** Small, but sweet. But sometimes you need more than just a bite-size morsel to satisfy the hunger. PROS: *Walking distance from Montana *Fresh eggs *Orange blossom honey *Decent greens CONS: *Limited selections of vendors *Expensive greens *One street wonder (not really open space) *One vendor for coffee *Not too many catering food vendors (limited breakfast and brunch options) I prefer the Farmers' Market on Main Street on Sundays. RECOMMEND only for convenience (if you live in Santa Monica).
google avatar

Rachel B.

Yelp
Park in parking lot 2 on a Saturday and then walk just a short distance to this master piece. I live in LA but I didn't even know that this was here every Saturday until I was showing my childhood friend around Santa Monica! Oh man! So I rated this highly because I am a huge honey fan and there are literally so many honey booths! You got allergies? Come down and there will be so much honey that can help! There's also countless fruit and vegetable stands, plants, and pastries! All of it can't be beat! Most, if not all stands, accept card. Some places like the French pastry place have a card minimum ($10 for the pastry place but the pastries are $5 each. Just take a friend). Now that I know it's here, I may end up back quite often!
google avatar

Ruth A.

Yelp
I love this place! This is where I get ALL my fruits and veggies for the week and it's way cheaper than Whole Foods or Trader Joes! There's nothing better than waking up early, getting a cup of coffee and walking down Arizona Avenue sipping on your cup of coffee browsing thru the fresh fruits and veggies .... oh yeah, and sampleing them too! What a great way to start your or for some .... end your week... fresh!
google avatar

Jennifer B.

Yelp
I love Farmers' Markets! I love supporting local growers, looking at fresh flowers, and sampling peak-season produce. The SM Saturday market is surprisingly small. There are probably 50 stalls selling everything from herbs, dried fruits, Asian vegetables, honey sticks, lotions, jams, grass-fed meats, Petaluma(? a little far away...) cheese, and of course, lots of seasonal produce. The themes of this visit seemed to be peaches and heirloom tomatoes. Many of the farms are certified organic and most of the others just aren't certified yet. Surprisingly, there aren't many prepared food vendors (maybe one) and I haven't noticed any seafood stalls. I've never seen any mushrooms on Saturday (except for the truffle salt guy... what a ripoff) but overall it's still quite a good variety of vendors. Park at any of the local, city-owned garages (#3 is the closest, I think) - the first 90 minutes are free, so then you can stroll through the promenade at your leisure!

Yelp
Really, it's a 4.5 star market... However, as compared to the Wednesday market, this one is tiny. They do have some vendors (e.g. Bill's Bees- they make my favorite crunchy wildflower honey) who are not at the Wednesday market. As compared to many markets around town, this one is better than most if you are seeking organic produce. What you will not find here is prepared foods or entertainment for the kids - this is strictly for food.

Yelp
One of the best Farmers Markets in SoCal. Be sure to get here as it opens at 8:30am. You will be in competition with chefs from some of the best restaurants in LA for amazing produce. In particular, I seek out Harry's Berrys. I don't know what is in the soil but it must be crack or sugar because I have never had strawberries at sweet and tasty as theirs. The Seascape and Gaviotas are the best but they have a tiny treasure that most resembles wild strawberries I've had in France. They're called Mara De Bois. Don't question the $6 price, just buy them. Mine are usually eaten before I've left the Farmers Market. The tomatoes are perfect now. Check out the mushroom guru, his selection is always great.

Yelp
The vegetables here looked like they were on steroids, seriously. I had to stop by the market to take in all of the smells and colors! People were handing out samples of their things and I wanted to buy something from every stand I passed. There was one lady selling pesto cheddar cheese that was simply mouth-watering. The next time I go to LA, I hope to stay a little longer so I can buy some fresh fruits and veggies from the market and make a delicious meal out of all of it! What a pleasure it was to start my day amid all of the fresh goodness the market had to offer!

Yelp
The only place I like to grocery shop! I am a Santa Monica local, and The Santa Monica Farmers Market has it all. Tons of vendors, every fruit/veggie/nut/green/flower you can think of, and all at reasonable prices straight from the growers. I love filling up my bag with fresh produce, and then getting a bouquet of fresh daisies for my kitchen for $5. I can get enough sprouts to last all week for less than $1... take that Whole Foods (just kidding WF, I still love you, your prices just make me cringe). Kid friendly, stroller friendly, and a great way to meet the growers of the food you eat. Definitely worth a shot!
