Brought my car in for an oil change. This was my 2nd visit because it was quick and easy. Turns out, they were cutting corners. Literally 5 mins after they got my car, the mechanic gave me a receipt to pay the cashier in the next building. The print out listed all of the checks they've completed. Which was impossible to do in 5 mins. Went back to the mechanic and said, no way you did all of this in 5 mins, he said yes we did it.
The receipt said tire pressure was all at 35 psi, all fluids were filled (washer/coolant/etc) extra charge for filter and extra quart of oil. Recommended to replace cabin filter for extra $50
I didn't want to cause a scene so I paid the $100 for just the oil change and when I got my car, the reminder sticker for next service was not updated, the psi gauge on my car read the driver side front tire was at 30 psi and the rest was at 33, 34. My glove compartment where the cabin filter was located was not touched and my car took only 5 quarts of oil but was charged 6.
I'm thinking to myself, did they even work on my car? I came back had a chat with the mechanic and he claimed he did the work, but when I pointed out the service checks on the receipt didn't match what was done. The quarts in my car didn't match either.
I wanted to speak to the manager, but was not available until Friday.
I later found out that he printed out my service checks from my 1st visit. That's why I got it so quick. He just wanted me to pay and go. I called him out on everything and he said it was a "mistake". Why lie and be confrontational? I wouldn't have written a review if he admitted the "mistake " at the beginning. But the way he stood his ground to lie about the whole situation, upcharged me on oil, and rushed me to pay bothered me. I'm writing this to make sure people pay attention when they get their car serviced here.
I then stood and watch him do everything. Won't be coming here again. I would have lost $100 and damaged my car the longer I drove it.
The question is, did I catch the mechanic on his lazy day, was this a scheme they do to customers who don't pay attention, or was this really a big "mistake"? I just felt very uncomfortable about the whole situation.
