Where to Find Cider in Greenville, South Carolina | Eater Carolinas
"Started by John Macomson as part of a mixed agricultural vision that pairs cattle farming with orchards, this rural cidery grew from a land expansion that allowed planting more than 4,000 trees and transforming the property into a recreation-focused ranch. Early production constraints led to primarily still (non-carbonated) one-barrel batches, a limitation that turned into a stylistic choice when the team found the results excellent; they now also produce some bottle-conditioned offerings with low carbonation. Current menu highlights include Sassy Black Baldie (a back-sweetened cider with blackberry and blueberry juice) and a Lemon-Ginger cider, all made from locally sourced apples as the orchard matures. Future plans call for a climate-controlled facility to become a true destination open more often than the current single-day schedule, and to scale apple production for wholesale while continuing cider education and outreach—particularly within Black communities. Current hours: Saturdays 1 p.m.–7 p.m." - Sam Slaughter
We were out exploring and found this spot. Denise is absolutely the warmest person you could hope to find. The ciders are clean and crisp. It became a little loud for our personal preference whilst we were there, but it's definitely worth trying! You're in for a treat if you get to spend time with Denise!

What a wonderful place. Super kind and were very welcoming to my kids. Excellent ciders, friendly people, and reasonable prices. I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

The cider and mead are both fantastic but the best part of our experience was hanging with the owners, John and Denise. They went out of their way to make sure we felt welcome and had a good time.

I really think it's the best hard cider I've ever had, John and Denise are the owners and the best people you will meet. Cows, tractor rides, beautiful place to go.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped by this evening to try out the ciders and try out a new place. We couldn't be happier that we did. The cider was some of the best we have ever had (and that's saying a lot given my wife's expertise and love for cider), the bar was unique, and we couldn't have felt more welcome. As we walked in, one of the owners, John, said "come on in and join the conversation!" We spent a couple of hours conversing with the other few people there and with the owners and throughly enjoying everyone's company. Will definitely be a place we frequent!
Also, the Honey Moo Moo Mead is hands down the best mead that I have ever had!

Yelp
If you want to pet some heifers and drink some cider, this is your place! The owners are sweet as can be and will give you apples to feed the heifers! They have a good variety of different ciders that they all brew on site.

Yelp
We stopped by on probably the coldest day of winter but they were very welcoming and did the tasting inside. It was hard picking a cider, but after the tasting we got a bottle and some meade for home. Our hosts were like talking to old friends! Definitely check this place out.

Yelp
Love this cidery and love the Macomson family. The craft hard ciders are some of the best I've tried, and the atmosphere is so welcoming. This is such a great place to relax and meet new friends. Come check it out!
Do a flight, find your faves. You can purchase 6 or 12 oz pours as well as bottles.
The even have muscadine wine and a red wine blend.

Yelp
Beautiful place with super yummy ciders! Don't miss the cranberry mead, the lemon ginger, the lemonade, and the honey moo moo--sweet & delicious! The owners, John & Denise, are so welcoming and accommodating. You won't find kinder hosts anywhere. The kids will enjoy the cows while you enjoy the cider, the scenery, and the conversation. Plan to sit a spell and enjoy God's country!

Yelp
We had a wonderfully relaxing visit last Saturday at this cidery. We stopped in for a tasting on our way back from Greenville SC to Charlotte and the owner John and his wife could not have been friendlier! We almost felt like we were hanging out on a friends patio. All of their ciders were very tasty and their one mead was great too. There was plenty of socially distanced seating on the patio & in the yard and the owners and employee wore masks. The only disappointment was that we'd eaten right before stopping in & therefore didnt get to try the charcuterie board they had on offer. We will definitely stop back in when we are back in the area again!

Yelp
Spent the afternoon enjoying some absolutely wonderful ciders, getting a farm/orchard tour, and just feeling like we were catching up with old friends. John and Denise made us feel at home and couldn't have been better hosts. We will definitely be back and can't wait to see what they do with their cider flavors! Thank you Fat Ass Heifer for a truly enjoyable afternoon.
