short: delicious and very friendly staff long: Monday night, after an abs class at the gym, I had an immense craving for boneless wings with blue cheese. I opened an app to a food hall place that I usually get them from, and unbelievably, they were completely sold out of boneless wings. I was attempting to find a local spot and decided to get them from Domino's. Luckily, I walked past this place, and the Buff Bird sandwich seemed like it would satisfy the craving. Well, I'm surprised at how delicious it was. It was so soft and tender with so much flavor from the sauces. While I was eating it, I knew I was going to sleep so good that night. I also thought that this was an amazing spot to go to after a few drinks. Well, it was so delicious that I went back the next day and had the chicken tenders combo. I went back yesterday and had the single stack burger. It's the best burger I recall having in many years. I had it with a smoky bbq sauce, without mayo or pickles. I asked a guy and his wife who were leaving what they had, and he had the burger, and she had the spicy chicken sandwich. He said they've been going nearly every day this week. I recommended the place to one of the owners of my favorite coffee spot, Sip Coffee, and he mentioned this morning to me that he has gone two consecutive days and is planning to go again tonight. He said it's much better than Shake Shack, and I agree. I will be returning tonight to get the burger again. The chicken sandwiches are served on a brioche bun; and the burgers are served on a potato bun. Luis, Islam, and Kiana provide exceptional customer service. I'm addicted and the people that have taken me up on my recommendation are addicted as well. Highly recommended.

the basil sauce is very very good, on both the OG and the Sweet Tony, way too much sauce. But the thigh meat was cooked well. Brioche bun good, ran out of the dessert ? Like the place overall, will be back.

I'll never go to this place again. After a busy morning, I pulled over for a quick bite to eat. I ordered the combo meal with 2 tenders and my waffle fries. FOR THE PRICE, THE MEAL WAS WAY TOO SMALL. At $10.83, I expected a full box of food. When I went to my car, I opened up the box and there was barely anything in it. Cheap to tell me to only pick one sauce, I at least expected the representative to add more This place is way too expensive and for what you get, you'll get just about nothing. I was still hungry afterwards and wish I would have just went to the nearby McDonalds instead. Location is a good, staff is ok - but I'm frustrated for wasting my money. The guy barely put anything in the box.

The tenders are juicy with a nice crunch, and is well seasoned. The sauces were very good. waffle fires were crispy as well, maybe a little more sauce. With fast friendly service it's a hit for me! The Fat Bird box fed me and my wife. (With extra chicken for our Yorkie. @King_Killa_Nyc)?

One of the best if not the best chicken sandwiches I’ve had. I got: The Original Bird OB 9/10 The mustard tangy and sweet sauce goes so well with the fried chicken sandwich. It’s fried but it’s not crispy fried it’s meat in your mouth fried. The fries :are like chick fil a but better and more crispy in my opinion 10/10 It gets busy at lunch time and the wait can be longer but it tastes very fresh.

Fat Bird has been an awesome addition to the neighborhood! Everything is made fresh to order and the flavors are delicious and vibrant. The waffle fries are crispy and the chicken is always moist and tender. Beware though, the hot sauce is painfully hot!

Best fried chicken sandwich in NYC! Seriously - so good. I had the Hot Chick and it was perfectly spicy, and I could drink the fat bird sauce. Heard the Sweet Tony is really good so I’m trying that next

I ordered the baby bird box. Two tenders, waffle fries, and a sauce for $10—you can't beat that. The fries and chicken were a bit on the greasy side, but the taste was amazing. I definitely recommend the Fat Bird sauce.

Sometimes, out of the blue, a chicken sandwich (in this case) just stands out to you, and you must try it. That's what happened tonight when my Bestie and I were walking the streets of New York City and came across the Buff Birdy at Fat Bird NYC. So what's the Buff Birdie? Well, this sandwich comes with Pickles, Blue Cheese, Buffalo Sauce, Slaw on a toasted brioche roll with crispy tender chicken thighs. I lives how juicy and tasty the fried chicken was. Soooooo freakin good!!! This sandwich completely exceeded my expectations. Yum!!!! While the restaurant is super small and cramped... The staff was super kind and helpful. I got the two piece tenders which I thought were a bit pricey at 3.50 each. They were slightly bigger than I expected. The chicken at first tasted like raising canes to me but when I had more, I noticed it was definitely crispier and had more flavor or just more salt. The sauce did remind me of raising cane sauce but better with some spice involved. I would get this again and I'd try out some of the sandwiches instead. The fries were very mediocre though. Not worth it. Just get the chicken!

I'd give this place a 3.5 if I could. I have no complaints about the chicken sandwich. In fact my expectations were low! The sandwich is advertised as its spiciest. I'm happy it lived up to it. It was spicy but easy to handle. The sandwich was good and it filled me up when I was done. It was very saucy. If I had one complaint, it's that it wasn't crispy. Still I really enjoyed it and would be happy to try the others. The waffle fries on the other hand sucked. They tasted like frozen waffle fries that you would get at a supermarket. I can't recommend them to anyone. They weren't crispy or seasoned. That being said, I'll definitely be back here. I recommend this place but avoid the waffle fries!

Staff made sure the restaurant was clean upon opening. Chicken is thick and fries are always crunchy. The last three times i got the hungry bird box during lunch break.

Food was cold. Seems like it is frozen and reheated. Would not recommend. Prices are a bit high too.
