⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Love this place! Felix Restaurant & Bar in New Orleans is a gem. I absolutely love the vibe here—great views, perfect for people watching, and the energy of the French Quarter really comes alive. I ordered the Bayou Sampler ($16) with red beans & rice, jambalaya, and crawfish étouffée—flavorful and comforting. Also tried the Blackened Chicken Pasta ($20) with penne and creamy Alfredo sauce—so yummy and satisfying. The atmosphere was lively, the music was great, and service was warm and attentive. Highly recommend grabbing a seat by the window if you can. Tip: Come a little before sunset for the best views and shorter wait times. Felix – Where flavor meets the French Quarter spirit.

I had a great dining experience at Felix’s Restaurant and Oyster Bar while visiting New Orleans! Although they’re known for their oysters, I went with the grilled chicken, fries, and coleslaw—and it did not disappoint. The chicken was well-seasoned and juicy, the fries were crisp and golden, and the coleslaw was fresh with just the right balance of tang and crunch. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and the staff was friendly and attentive. It’s a great spot whether you’re in the mood for seafood or something more classic. I left full and happy—definitely worth a visit if you’re in the French Quarter!

Google
Reviews brought me to this place to try the char-grilled oysters. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the food or service. 1) came in around 4pm so it was slow. The server was just standing around on their phones. I had to flag one down for drink refills. 2) ordered char-grilled oysters and crab cake. Oysters were overcooked and dry. Crab cake was salty, peppery and spicy. They fell apart and had no crust on the outside.

Google
I think that you will have a way BETTER TIME than the ACME oyster house across the street. Let’s me explain: Foods: can’t go wrong the delicious chargrilled oyster ( many different styles you can choose from.) Our favorite is the Rockefeller style. Now is June. The Market price for a DOZEN is $32 and half a Dozen is $20. Might as well get a dozen. Atmosphere: friendly. No wait. We came around 3:30 pm. Even when you arrive on the weekend, no wait Service: fast

Google
This place was absolutely fantastic. Many people were coming in for the raw oyster bar. I overheard that someone came in six days in a row. It must be good. I got the pink shrimp boil, which was a medium spice level. Just perfect.

Google
Craving chargrilled oysters—and they did not disappoint! I don’t usually eat in the French Quarter, but this spot has become a repeat visit for me. Prices are surprisingly reasonable for the area, and service is consistently quick and friendly. Came in on a rainy day, so no wait to be seated—bonus! I started with the seafood gumbo, which had rich flavor and just the right amount of spice. The oysters were the real star: smoky, buttery, perfectly grilled—exactly what I was craving. The red beans were well-seasoned, though the rice could’ve been fluffier. Hush puppies were the only miss for me—too fried, with barely any soft center. Still, the oysters alone are worth the visit. Solid choice in the Quarter when you want seafood that hits the spot without breaking the bank.

Google
First time in NOLA (that I remember) for a youth conference. Marlin was our server. His excellent knowledge of the menu, food, and his radiant smile along with a passionate personality made us feel welcomed in this place. Tried the Gumbo Ya-Ya and Turtle Soup. Oh. My. Goodness. SO. GOOD!!! My main dish was the Shrimp Scampi. I was BLOWN away by the quality of all of the dishes. Everything tasted fresh, not manufactured. I will be coming back here.

Google
Incredible food, great vibe, and unbeatable oysters! We had an amazing lunch at Felix’s Oyster Bar on Bourbon Street. We sat outside on the porch, which gave us the perfect mix of people-watching and chill atmosphere—ideal for enjoying the energy of the French Quarter without feeling overwhelmed. The chargrilled oysters stole the show. Perfectly grilled with buttery garlic and a hit of parmesan—honestly some of the best oysters we’ve ever had. A must-order! My wife had the beet salad, which was fresh, colorful, and full of flavor. The combination of roasted beets, citrus, pine nuts, and pesto was spot on. Our son ordered the Atlantic salmon, and it was cooked beautifully with crispy skin and served over a flavorful mix of corn, peas, and bacon. Great service, fantastic food, and good vibes all around. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in NOLA!

Yelp
Wow! Excellent charbroiled oysters! The taste of the char was in every bite.Fast and friendly service. Yolanda was our waitress and she was a sweetheart!

Yelp
This is my second time in New Orleans, but first time eating at Felix's. We had a large party (10) and the wait was over two hours getting our food. The server was real apologetic for the long wait. I will come back again! I had the shrimp and grits and a beer.

Yelp
We were waiting in line and the manager came outside and took the people who just got out into line to be seated first on the other side of the restaurant. We were waiting for 20 minutes! We finally sit down after half an hour maybe and the drinks were watered down. The place smells like fish and looks like a diner. This isn't fine dining. We got our food and It looks like frozen veggies with a small piece of fish on top. This is priced $30 and it looks like I could have made it for $5 in my home. We ordered the Atlantic salmon. We also ordered the scallops and there were 4 scallops and snap peas which was barely any food for $36!!! Very deceiving and over priced. DO NOT GO HERE.

Yelp
This was our first stop in New Orleans after landing. We wanted a quick bite for dinner and were already craving oysters. The on the half-shell oysters were HUGE and juicy! Even after eating oysters everyday for the rest of the trip, Felix's definitely had the biggest raw oysters. It was our first time having char-grilled oysters but they were quite salty and pieces of the shell would get caught in our mouths. The oysters also didn't taste as fresh.... As if they had char-grilled ones that were about to go bad. The classic seafood gumbo was not bad with the seafood flavor really shining through. We especially enjoyed the soup trio with all the different flavors. We particularly liked one but can't remember which haha. We ordered the po-boy because we were still hungry but honestly wouldn't recommend it. The bread was so tough and difficult to chew while the fried fish was quite small. Maybe get a platter instead! Our seat neighbors got a platter and it looked much better. We went on a Friday night and only waited about 5 min for seats. The service was sufficient but nothing to write home about. Would come back for the raw oysters and soup trio.

Yelp
I have great memories here; good times at the bar/counter in the Iberville side (the older section of the restaurant) and even had my rehearsal dinner for my wedding here years ago (AND IT WAS AWESOME). Regrettably our last two visits were not impressive. Husband and I sat at the bar by the Iberville entrance and we were unimpressed. Our server/bartender was dry and not what Felix usually delivers. Our food was decent except the grilled oysters (which were drowned in butter sauce; just way too much); even the margarita was off. We assumed last time was a fluke and returned, but this time we sat in the dinning room along the Bourbon Street entrance and this time we were with another couple. The food was decent but AGAIN the margarita was bad and the grilled oysters were in a deep puddle of the butter sauce; even if you dump off all the excess butter sauce, it's saturated and all you taste is sauce (not even a hint of oyster). I even uploaded a recent picture and a picture of the char-grilled oysters from years ago; notice how the OLD one has sauce on each one but little excess and even the bread is dry and the NEW one has sauce all over the plate (even the bread is drenched with the butter sauce). I'm hoping the last couple visits were just off nights but who knows !

Yelp
Came here twice during my trip to New Orleans. I did have to wait a couple minutes to get seated but not too bad of a wait. Tried the oysters Rockefeller, raw oysters, shrimp po boy, jambalaya, and turtle soup. Loved how large the oysters were. Service is quick and friendly. Everything we tried was pretty tasty. Definitely a must try if in the area. Try going during midday hours to avoid a long wait.

Yelp
Things did not start off well at Felix's, which is always my go to place for oysters, especially if Acme has a long line. The problem was the dirty plates. Our waiter dropped them off at the table as he whooshed by. They were wet, very wet, and cold. They also had bits of food and sauce all over them. We complained, and showed him how dirty they were. He took them, returned with new plates, just as wet and dirty. We pointed out how dirty they were, again with food between the plates, and he grumbled something about having difficulty with the dishwasher. I assumed he was talking about a person, and not a machine. The third round of plates were "cleaner" but still obviously just dunked in cold water. We let it go. Calamari: Overall quite good. Nice and crispy without too much batter. Oysters: On point and delicious. Turtle soup: This was part of a soup trio. The turtle was far too salty, but the two varieties of gumbo were pretty good. The bowl of gumbo had nice chunks in it, while the cup was lacking there, but still tasty. Not a bad place for food, not the best, but pretty good. The plates though really presented a sloppy managerial staff. Three stars for the food. Three for the service, one for the cleanliness of the plates.

Yelp
Casual old school place, Good service, and great food. Did take sometime to arrive, but it was worth it. Ordered a po boy and the charbroiled oysters - if I could eat this every day of my life, I would

Yelp
Felix is a staple in the French Quarter and came recommended. It was near our hotel so I tried calling for reservation but they don't take. Sooo we went about 6 pm on a Sunday and didn't wait long to seat our party of 6. The hosts, servers and waiters were all attentive. The food was great! Everyone enjoyed, including the oysters and jambalaya pasta and po boys. We entered via the original entrance before expansion. It was old but had charm.

Yelp
Came here on Sunday for grilled oysters. Sat at the bar. The oysters were pretty good, the service was just okay (really slippery floors, almost fell a couple of times).
google avatar

Aya E.

Yelp
Ordered: Dozen Chargrilled Oysters (~$30): with Parmesan Breadcrumbs and Housemade Char Butter Aya's take: One thing about NOLA is they love their oysters here! And not just any oysters, but chargrilled. The Chargrilled Oysters were pretty large and meaty yet were too parmesan-forward for me. I liked how buttery and fresh they tasted but the parmesan was overpowering for my liking. Felix's is pretty close to Bourbon St with plenty of seating. I still favor Acme's over these but definitely worth a try if you're in NOLA!

Yelp
I came here for dinner on a Thursday night with a friend. I usually go to Acme Oyster House but I decided to check this place out across the street. We ordered half a dozen raw oysters and half a dozen char grilled oysters. The oysters were large and juicy. Service was fast and friendly. I have to say though that Acme's char grilled oysters are better. However, Acme is more crowded. Still, I would come back here if there's too long of a line at Acme!

Yelp
We came here around 3pm on a Friday. They were very busy. We were sat quickly but it took a while before a server came to take our drink and food order (about 15 minutes). When our drinks came out there was food particles, or possibly seasoning of some sort, floating in my glass of Prosecco. We ordered a dozen chargrilled oysters and a shrimp cocktail. We never received the shrimp cocktail. When we finished the oysters we asked for the bill and the server brought up the cocktail and we said that was ordered as an appetizer. She did apologize and took it off the bill. The oysters were ok. It seemed like they sat for a while after being cooked because they were barley warm. Overall it wasn't a great experience. There are plenty of other oyster bars in NOLA so I doubt we'd return.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here for the oysters. This place is pretty popular and had a lengthy wait on a Thursday. Once seated, we were greeted by our friendly server and he took our drink orders. For a started, I ordered the fried pickles for $11. They were just okay. Not very flavorful. For my meal I ordered a dozen of the Oysters Bienville, which is oysters with shrimp and mushroom, for $34. Unfortunately they brought me Oysters Buffalo, which is oysters with buffalo sauce and melted blue cheese crumbles, for $35. I asked the server about this and they admitted it was their mistake and they brought me the correct order. They were not good. Very small and not flavorful. Would not go back or recommend.

Yelp
Awesome place for oysters on a half, turtle soup, and anything on the menus. I have been craving this place for over 9 years.
google avatar

Karl A.

Yelp
This was a fun dining experience! We had to wait about 20 minutes for a table, but the weather was perfect, so that was all good. Our server took our order really fast. We got some oysters and fried pickles for the table. The pickles were a hit! The oysters were nice and fresh tasting. I got the shrimp tacos, they were decent, all the flavors were good, and they were cooked well. Good food, great service!
google avatar

Melissa W.

Yelp
Very busy restaurant in the French Quarter - the Rockefeller oysters were more breaded than dressed up. This place did have really good blackened alligator- it is a must! We tried the turtle soup which was good but was extremely salty. 5 stars for the blackened alligator but that was really all I enjoyed.
google avatar

Yelp
Had to stop by Felix's for the oysters . Felix never disappoints. My friend and I ordered chargrilled oysters, gator bites (yes alligator) , onion rings , side order of red beans and rice ....all so good . Service was good our waitress Tiffany was a doll. The establishment has been around for many years and is the go to spot for oysters when in New Orleans (French quarter).
google avatar

Amber G.

Yelp
Not really what I was expecting. A little hole in the wall. It was loud inside. Nice AC. The po-boy was good but not the best I've had. The gumbo was not very good in my opinion, did not see any crawfish in it but a few shrimp. I would never order oysters but someone in my group did and it was DELICIOUS. I can not believe how good they were. That's the way to go. Best thing we tried. Services in amazing. Our waiter was extremely attentive and friendly. Forgot to mention...... the sampler was $16 and a very tiny portion. Like 3 bites. That's nuts
google avatar

Yelp
I'm going to keep this one super short. Come here for oysters, sit at the oyster bar, and order oysters. Don't order anything else, really, it's an oyster bar, stick to the oysters, don't sit at a table/booth and you will be a very happy person. Easily worth stopping in. There are two entrances, unsure which one is 'better', but skip Acme and come here.
google avatar

Deniece W.

Yelp
Great oysters, awful service. When we arrived, the hostess immediately ran off after having a conversation with someone at the door. Cool (not). So we go sit at the bar. And wait. And wait. Finally, the hostess comes back. "Y'all just sat yourselves?!" she asks us. "This bar's closed. You have to go over to the other bar". So we go over to the other bar. The bartender seems pissed that the hostess from the other side sent us over. I ask her if she can make a Sazarec. She says yes, practically rolling her eyes at me. Ooook. Thank God another bartender came on. She was waaaay better and saved the day. Super friendly. The drinks and food were amazing. I am obsessed with how plump Gulf oysters are, and the charbroiled oysters here are insanely good.
google avatar

Cassy B.

Yelp
Ooof, swing and a miss. As other yelpers mentioned, I should've read the most recent reviews before coming here. I saved this place for lunch on our last day. We had gone to Acme and were so impressed. Instead of going back I wanted to give another business a try. We got there around 12 and were seated right away but our server got us waters and then was no where to be found. For about 20 minutes he ignored us completely and served on the tables around us. Eventually we flagged him down and he apologized. I mean we weren't in a rush but it wasn't a great feeling seeing everyone around us getting their food and leaving before us. I loved the Acme house oysters so much I figured let's get a dozen oysters and really enjoy them. Once they arrived they were tiny. Not worth the money and they didn't have the sauce I've seen in all other pictures. They were also super sandy and almost too burnt. Just a very big difference from the ones I tried at Acme. We also got poboys and I was disappointed with mine. Barely any shrimp and the breading was falling off the fish. Save your money and go to Acme, wait in their line - I promise you it's worth it. The service is better and so is the food.
google avatar

Anna A.

Yelp
The shrimp and grits was phenomenal- more garlic butter based and I loved it! The green beans and snap peas were good but not unique. The bread pudding to go was yummy Togo as well! There are two entrances go to the bourbon street entrance for more restaurant atmosphere/ the entrance in the alley they seated us in a weird back hall.
google avatar

Nina E.

Yelp
Welt I got the bayou sampler and I was expecting some a little more but it was ok. My husband got the charbroiled oysters w/bread and that was a good choice! Overall it's ok.... But know that there is better here. Service was excellent, Nick is our server. Ambiance is so so. UPDATE: Thank you Matt for your feedback. We pay for what we get! If the customer pays $$ they are expecting the food and service for their $$.
google avatar

Michael K.

Yelp
We were luckily able to get a table for 8 of us with no reservations and sat down within just a few minutes on a busy Friday night! The chargrilled oysters are fantastic! We got a bunch of different things and although the food is a bit salty, the seasoning and flavors are amazing. Definitely worth stopping by.

Yelp
I've been to Felix's a few times over the years. This time was underwhelming for sure. Upon walking in, there was an overwhelming smells. Now I know it's an oyster place but this smell was pure garbage. It just smelled dirty. The floors were sticky. We sat at the bar and waited about 10-12 minutes before the bartender came over. We were just grabbing some food before heading to the airport. The oysters were just ok. Cold. Even though they were supposed to be warmed dishes. My biggest issues was the language used by the staff. Foul language was flying as the staff and hanging out and joking around in the service area. We're not sensitive people by any means but I also find it off putting to hear staff conversations about how F$&@ing wasted they got the night before, etc etc. Update 3/18/24: I did get a lovely email from the GM stating that my feedback was received and conversations internally were being had to make improvements. Which I appreciate! I mean that's what this is all about right. They covered to comp my meal which is a kind gesture but not at all necessary. Because of the professionalism, I'm updating my stars.

Yelp
We were seated right away on a weekday just before lunch. Southern hospitality is always appreciated- staff was very accommodating. We ordered dozen of oysters( 6 Rockefellers & 6 Bienville) which we eagerly devoured ! Gumbo was had signature smoke taste & Crawfish etouffette hit-the-spot!
google avatar

Yelp
Felix's Restaurant & Oyster Bar got raved about by a coworker, so I decided to check it out for lunch today. As soon as I stepped inside, I could see it was packed with people enjoying their lunch in a casual setting. I waited in line and got seated in just five minutes. My server was V, and she was awesome! She really took the time to make sure I had a great experience during the rush. I ordered the Trio Gumbo Sampler, which had chicken and sausage, shrimp and crab, and a turtle and egg bowl. I decided to skip the turtle and get another shrimp and crab bowl instead. The gumbos were delicious! I also ordered a half dozen of the char-grilled oysters, and I wish I had ordered a dozen. They were incredible! The only thing that missed the mark was the bread that came with the oysters. It was a bit small and too burnt for my taste, but I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Food: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Ambiance: 10/10 *****updating for ambiance**** My bestie and I went back for lunch and went in the entrance off Bourbon Street. We were seated upstairs and it was completely different than where we were seated before. I think we were seated where locals sit a lot the first time. Our service and server were amazing. It was raining and then checked on us and offered to move us at any time. The food was still good. We had bloody Mary's, oysters and Po Boys. ******£ We were greeted and seated immediately. I got a hurricane and my friend had another drink I can't remember the name of. Came here specifically for oysters after we landed. These were the best charbroiled oysters I've ever had in my life. My red beans and rice were amazing and the Brussels sprouts were awesome. My bestie loved her food as well. Our server gave us tips on how to track the parades, where to get a grenade and was super nice.
google avatar

Cat N.

Yelp
Honestly one of the best meals I've had in NOLA. Chargrilled oysters taste better and bigger portion than acme plus no line! Service was attentive and above and beyond. I will make a stop here every time I visit NOLA! They are located off bourbon, a little walking distance from Jackson square, about 15 mins walk

Yelp
Located in the very busy French Quarter, Felix's stands out with its bright red neon sign, large restaurant with multiple spaces for seating, and people waiting outside. As I entered the restaurant towards the back entrance, my partner and I were seated promptly at the bar where our order was taken. As it is our first night in New Orleans, we were excited about the best food this city has to offer. What we ordered: Char grilled oysters: The dish they are probably most well-known for, the char grilled oysters at Felix's is as worthy competitor to all its other oyster opponents. It is smoky, topped off with breadcrumbs, some parmesan, and a lemon squeeze, all with a side of French baguette. Though the oysters were rather smaller than expected, for $29/dozen, I would consider it pretty worth. I enjoyed the dish overall and, as someone who isn't a super big oyster eater, it was my first step into being a favorite. NOLA sampler: Consisting of mini bowls of jambalaya, etouffe, and red beans and rice, it was a great complement to the buttery and rich oysters. Though I was expecting the dishes to be spicier, the jambalaya still gave a nice kick, and the etouffe was very flavorful itself. However, I found myself unable to stop eating those red beans and rice, an unexpected competitor in the ring. Didn't think it would be something I loved but there was something in those beans. So smokey, so flavorful, maybe it had some meat component? SO GOOD. Overall, food is great. Located in the FQ, it is a lively environment full of drunk and happy people. I know I definitely left drunk and happy that night!

Yelp
We came here on 12.21.23 when my buddy wanted to "put to bed" the infamous Acme vs. Felix's matchup in the categories of raw oysters and chargrilled oysters. Also, of course, ambiance and service were to be considered. Ambiance - old school and "locals joint." The place was sparsely decorated and even a bit rundown. The staff also wore the old school uniform of white shirt, black vest and black pants. But that smell of dirty taps and weed occasionally wafting by? That, too, was the staff, and not the establishment. Raw oysters - slightly larger and meatier than Acme. You also got a nice variety of condiment choices - both Crystal and Tabasco are served here. Chargrilled oysters - also meatier and a bit more flavorful without being too heavy on butter. The bread was perfect for sopping up the oyster liquor. It is easy to see why the locals prefer this place. You won't go wrong at either Acme or here, but try and get here first.

Michael L.

Yelp
I didn't like Felix Oysters at all. The bread crumbs made the oyster gritty and had a weird flavor. Much better oyster can be had close by. Service was ok. And this restaurant will definitely have room because the food is ok at best. I would not recommend going to Felix's.
google avatar

Yelp
Charbroiled oysters a must!!!!!! Came to NOLA for a quick weekend getaway! Tried to eat as much delicious food here so we were only able to get little bites here and there. Ordered the charbroiled & raw oysters plus alligator bites. Oh, the horseradish!!! O myyyy, it was out of this world! Definitely recommend and thanks to my friend for the recommendation as well!!!

Yelp
While Felix's Restaurant & Oyster Bar has gained some town buzz, my recent experience at the table left much to be desired. The service was commendable with a pleasant staff, but unfortunately, the food and drinks missed the mark. The fried pickles were overly salty, making them less than desirable. The BBQ prawns proved to be a laborious task to peel, overshadowing any enjoyment. The shrimp salad disappointed with an overpowering dill flavor, falling below expectations. As for the drinks, the cocktail was, to put it frankly, not my cup of tea - I probably should have stuck to a beer. Regrettably, it might not be my go-to spot in the future, but the friendly staff did add a positive touch to the overall experience.

Yelp
We have been here several times over the years. Casual easy going restaurant with great location to people watch. Great customer service from the hostess to the waiter. Food is usually pretty consistent & food portions. Shrimps, & oysters fried perfectly. Fries lacked freshness & spices. Key lime pie, was just ok, have had better. Not what it used to be. Mediocre food over all. They try with their hospitality.

Yelp
The food here was delicious! I loved the gumbo, jambalaya, red beans and rice, and oysters. Overall the restaurant is quite loud. The service was great and it was an enjoyable meal.

Yelp
If you take New Orleans cuisine and strip out all the frills, what you'll have left is Felix's. No fancy ambience. No fancy waiters. No white tablecloths. But you'll find excellent oysters on the half shell. Po boy sandwiches made with fried oysters, fried fish and shrimp. Excellent etouffé. Red beans and rice. And your fellow patrons will wear baseballs caps while they eat and talk way too loud. Better than Acme across the street but without Acme's lines. It's the un-Antoine The un-Gallatoire. But the food sure is good.

Yelp
Charbroiled oysters are so good here. Love the garlic butter taste. It can get pretty packed. Got here on a Saturday around 3ish and was seated right away but after 4 was when I saw people waiting. Definitely worth a try!

Yelp
My favorite restaurant in New Orleans!!!!! Oysters Rockefeller out of this world. The bread they give you to dip in all the juices is incredible. Po boy 10/10 I always come here when I visit there's nothing bad on the menu.

Yelp
OMG! First visit to Felix's and WILL NOT be my last!!! Best huge/fresh oysters shucked right before your eyes. If there are better oysters and servers here we haven't found 'em... These guys were awesome as were the other customers at the bar which only added to the experience. If you love fresh oysters this is a MUST when in NOLA...

Yelp
Wow, this is a great little New Orleans bourbon St. Restaurant and bar. They have 2 different entrances, the one off of Bourbon St. Is a little nicer looking, but both areas are one and the same kitchen.

Yelp
Not so hidden GEM!! Would recommend coming here over Acme across the street which likely has an amazing insane line. Sooo yummy, a few TVs w games on. Freshly schucked oysters are bomb, the char grilled are good, as are the Rockefeller and Buffalo. In that order. Great service and vibe here I would return for sure!

Yelp
Really big space and they were easily able to accommodate my party of 7. We came in at around 3pm and I need to say that the service was extremely slow. We waited a while for our dishes and ended up having some of our dishes served while they were still making 2 more dishes. They also forgot part of our order and we had to give them several reminders. Raw oysters and char grilled oysters were very good but I would not recommend anything else. Fried pickles were crispy but extremely salty. Chilean sea bass was cooked well but bland and somewhat fishy. Scallops were a hit or miss. One person enjoyed them while another thought they seemed a little off in the smell ...kinda ammonia-like. Po-boys were mediocre but you have to request the lettuce, tomato and mayo so they give it to you on the side despite it being listed on the menu. I would have thought they would have it placed on the po boy already or at least on the plate for you to add on.

Yelp
We were hankering for some oysters, so our first stop in NOLA had to be Felix's. We waited in line outside before we were shortly seated inside. We ordered raw oysters on the half-shell, char-grilled oysters, oysters 1/2 Rockerfeller and 1/2 Bienville, Bayou Platter Sampler, and blackened Louisiana Alligator. The oysters were delicious. The char-grilled were my favorite! It also came with bread for you to dip into that buttery flavor goodness. Blackened alligator was interesting. It was chewy and tasted like chicken.

Yelp
Last meal in NOLA. I enjoyed it-- friendly staff, good oysters. Not a fan of the chicory in the red beans and rice but still very good. Nor the excess butter all over bread of char grilled oysters. They weren't piping hot out of the oven so not as crispy like elsewhere. Definitely a hole in wall type place.

Yelp
For a spot on Bourbon Street, this restaurant is surprisingly good. I enjoyed their raw oysters. We had their gumbo and it was burnt :( but the fried catfish is delicious as well. Also wasn't a fan of the jambalaya pasta, was too tomato-y our servers were sweet and attentive.

Yelp
There was a massive line out the door around dinner time, but we were able to walk in and sit at the bar for lunch the following day. We ordered char grilled oysters and raw oysters, both of which were fantastic. The bartender was friendly and conversing with us as he shucked our oysters. He even threw in a couple of extra oysters for us! Will be back the next time we visit!
