Ordered from them online and really loved my purchase and the experience. My order got here quickly, and the quality is really great (their FERAL t-shirt is so nice and soft!!). And they included a handwritten card!, which shows how much they value their customers. If you’re reading reviews to help you decide whether or not to buy from them, do it.

Google
FERAL is awesome! The past couple times I’ve needed gear, I’ve gone to FERAL first (before big box stores) and I’ve always been able to find exactly what I needed. Better yet, that gear was used, actually affordable, and in excellent condition. Highly recommend it for affordable outdoor gear.

Google
What a wonderful adventure into this shop... My teenager needed gear for a upcoming canoeing trip. We were able to find used gear and some new items as well. It was an all in one shopping stop for our list. We love that we can get quality used gear, to reuse and is budget friendly. The folks are extremely helpful here... I would highly recommend stopping in!

Google
I like the store, but can’t recommend bringing any gear worth more than a few dollars to sell. On two occasions I’ve been offered 5-8% of MSRP of well maintained items with years of life left. I am willing to take a hit on the second hand value, but $16 for an item which retails for $250 is too little. I appreciate them contributing to the used gear availability in the Denver area.

Google
Feral is the best! Super friendly and fair prices. Their used gear section is awesome and they are super organized in keeping their used gear inventory up to date. Scored some used camping chairs that were almost brand new last time I stopped in! I’ll always stop at Feral when on Tennyson.

Google
My son and I visited on April 19th looking for some used equipment to start our backpacking adventure. We found a used 3-person North Face tent in good shape for $75. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, going so far as to dig in the back to find what we were looking for. I got some helpful tips for some exercises to help with my ankle and leg strength to get ready for hikes and had a wonderful conversation with a member of the staff who had just relocated to Denver from Phoenix. I was surprised to learn that Feral is a local company. Everything seems so professional and well put together that I swore that they had to be national. I'll definitely be back for more gear!

Google
Great store - love the concept, the staff are helpful, and I always find great secondhand items here (plus there is a good selection of new gear as well). A bonus is they have a dog gear section and are dog-friendly. There is a small amount of parking in the back alley but it's usually easy to find nearby street parking, too.

Google
Amazing used outdoor clothing section and prices! Everything we've gotten was in excellent condition. Love how organized Feral is too. Please consider opening a store in Fort Collins :)

Yelp
This place is so cool. From outa town and stumbled in here and I can't stop thinking about the things I should have got. Wish it was a little cheaper for the used stuff because I woulda cleaned house. Had some cool used running shoes but I can't spend 60$ on relatively worn running shoes. But the store is still and the employees are helpful.

Yelp
Southwest decided to tear me a new one into my backpacking bag after gate checking my bag. I've always loved coming to feral to window shop, but now know this will be a go to place to repairs on my gear I thought the repair would be good, but I did t think it'd be THAT good. The thread they used match the light blue inner lining of my bag and compared to my sorry attempt, it looks factory done. Absolutely worth it

Yelp
Feral has some great finds if you are looking for used or new outdoor clothing or gear! I have not sold anything here yet but know they will be my go-to when trying to find somewhere to get rid of any gear I no longer need. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful if you have any questions and items are reasonable priced!

Yelp
What a great idea! I am a self-defined cheap-o. I needed a winter jacket after our move and as a denizen of Goodwill, I was psyched to find there was a used outdoor gear store. Parking can get a little busy in the area but we ended up finding a spot. Inside is like a mini REI but almost everything is used and a lot of the prices are right! They had a nice selection of winter jackets (North Face, REI, Eddie Bauer, LL Bean, etc). Ended up getting an Eddie Bauer jacket for probably 1/4 of the cost of a new one. My husband also snagged a pair of $5 thin gloves - instead of spending $25 on a new pair. I'm not much of an outdoors person but they had plenty of other items like climbing, camping, skiing, snowboarding, some cute products like candles and other household things. Great place to go if you want outdoor stuff at much better prices.

Yelp
If you are looking for a great selection of quality gear and outer wear, this is it. Great vibe and plenty of cycle shoes, backpacks, camping gear, ski and snowboard apparel. Check out the bags made from recycle gear stitched in-house upstairs.

Yelp
I am a big fan of consignment stores and FERAL fills my need for a place to find some second hand outdoor equipment. It's on Tennyson right next to the Colorado Cherry Company which means I've walked past it without second thought a few times before intentionally planning a trip out to check out the store. I was there this past weekend and they have a mix of new, demo and consignment gear available. I managed to pick up a pair of demo ski gloves for $35 which I'm super happy with and am excited to test them out on the mountain. They had a lot of consignment jackets available on the wall that are sorted by size and color. This visit yielded a lot of fleece, sweaters and insulated jackets in that section with brands ranging from North Face to Patagonia to Columbia. I am hoping to go back to try to find a ski jacket. I'm excited to keep exploring what they have in store and hopefully pick up a couple more items. I'll also recommend Feral to friends as a good place to drop off gently used gear so other people can continue to enjoy it.

Allie B.

Yelp
Great selection of quality brands and gently used clothes and gear. Would recommend for any outdoor gear.

Yelp
I always make it a point to stop at this store when I'm in the area. They carry a wide selection of name brands and have quality clothing, accessories, and equipment. I definitely love their Used Department! I got a pair of used ski poles at a deep discount. Great value stuff. The staff was helpful and friendly too. The store is conveniently located on Tennyson Street with street parking.

Yelp
HUGE GEAR FAIL. Came here to pick up a sleeping bag before heading out to Bryce, Zion and grand canyons. I picked one labeled as a woman's down sleeping bag and the associate confirmed it should be warm enough. I should have opened it and seen it, but we were literally on the road headed out so I paid and packed it into the truck and headed off. Fast forward all the way across two states and I pull the sleeping bag out. It's literally fit only for a small child. I am an average size woman and could not zip this up past my waist. No way my arms were fitting. We had a good laugh and went to sleep. Well, next day we head to Bryce canyon and there is a blizzard in the middle of the night with -10 wind-chill. I couldn't get the sleeping bag all the way around me so I piled everything I had on top of me in the tent. I still got mild hypothermia which pretty much ruined the rest of the trip. All on all a pretty lousy experience. If you are going to write that your gear is inspected, please be sure it fits who you suggest it fits. The people in the store that day were nice and delivered excellent customer service so a star for them.

Yelp
If you're in Denver and need camping gear, this is the place to go. We stopped in for some last minute items pre camping trip and FERAL had everything we needed and then some. I also loved their selection of used products, clothing and gear, all of which was reasonably priced. Definitely check this place out for some high quality used gear before splurging on something new. And when you do need something new, FERAL will have that for you too
google avatar

Adrienne B.

Yelp
I went in last week to sell some hiking shoes my husband didn't want. They were also able to take my old REI quarter done tent that the elastic had went out on. I love that they can repair old gear and give it a new life. I got 160 in store credit and was able to get a really nice used Patagonia puffy jacket, a new pair of trekking poles and a really cool bag that can attach to my bag and hold my phone. They have excellent customer service as well. Mark helped me find everything I was looking for.
google avatar

Travis c.

Yelp
Grate place has all kinds of different gear , cool shirt from other string and name brands , I like that I can turn in my old gear for exchange or for cash . Thank you guys ..

Annika T.

Yelp
Staff were so nice and helpful! That makes all the difference being a girl in the outdoor space :) highly recommend

Yelp
Feral is the Disneyland of Secondhand Outdoorsy Gear! Simply amazing! We need more Secondhand retail like FERAL in our lives. The Customer Service was phenomenal; I originally called Feral to verify backpacking gear! I spoke with Dan a few times over the phone and in person. Dan was very patient with my questions and actually remembered my name!? I thought that was cool and the merchandise really sold me. I found the perfect pre-owned 75L unisex backpack from a brand called Osprey. The Luna 75L Grey Purple bag was nicely adjusted in store and only cost me $35.00!! I bought a decent pair of running shoes with extra support to help with those long hikes. I was saving myself from blisters and these pair of shoes will save me from the heartache. You can find some pretty decent deals such as Patagonia, North Face, L.L. Bean etc., I also joined their rewards program which was awesome. I bought some nice size 5 kid's shoes for my little sister and a new sweater at half the cost. Feral definitely won my heart and they have the most coolest staff ever!!
google avatar

Casey F.

Yelp
I called ahead to ask about a name brand snowboarding/winter jacket to see if they would buy it. The man I spoke to on the phone told me that the brand of snowboarding/winter jacket I have they typically don't have listed on the name brands they buy, but seeing that it is a rare brand name he will be willing to take a look at it. He proceeded to tell me that if the jacket is in good condition then he will most likely buy it. So I ended up driving 45 minutes out of my way to feral and when I get to the store I told the woman at the buying desk about what I was told over the phone and she proceeded to tell me that what I was told should not have been said and that they will not take my jacket because it's not on the list of brands they buy and that it's also out of season.

Yelp
Funny enough Feral kept coming up as an ad for when I was searching for gear for my board. I decided to go there and check it out. And I have to say that it was great. They have tons of used gear and clothes along with new gear and clothes. You can find great find in there but you really have to look. I was able tk find a whole fit for a snowboarding for under $50. While there was tons of gear there. Some things that I like were super expensive and by that I mean over $200 for a jack or snow pants. I've been back a few times and still enjoy it as much as the first. Like said before, you have to really look to find the good deals. Otherwise you will Only see thr expensive things.
google avatar

Crystal G.

Yelp
We walked by and saw a vintage sign that said music so of course we got curious and walked in.. To our surprise it was not a music store it's a camping accessory store. Cool things that you need for any outdoor experience. In the back they have gently used items which I really appreciated . We left out of their with two jackets very well priced. Cool place with very reasonable prices. Staff was So helpful and very nice. Five star for all your camping needs.!
google avatar

Ellie T.

Yelp
Almost didn't want to write a review so that I could gatekeep this place... But I love this place. So many great deals on outdoor wear. Didn't see much skiing stuff which is what I was looking for, but saw plenty of brand names for cheap.
google avatar

Bella Z.

Yelp
Amazing shop with a great staff. Definitely check out this shop before you buy anything new for the ski season.
google avatar

Yelp
Local truly means something! I'm an avid outdoorsie, and the Feral team knocks it outta the park time and time again. Their knowledge, selection, and prices are great! I'm personally a BIG fan of their used gear section. Not only do they sell excellent used gear (we're talking quality, big brands like Marmot, North Face, etc)- it is at unbeatable prices. Seriously- soooo many more good miles on this gear! PLUS- when you're done with your old gear and it's still got life- they will BUY your used gear. What a great eco-system! Thanks Feral- y'all keep making the outdoors approachable and accessible for all.
google avatar

Dana N.

Yelp
What an awesome store! They had an amazing variety and selection of all things outdoors. The staff was helpful and friendly as well. If I weren't flying back with limited suitcase space I would have bought a ton of things that caught my eye.
google avatar

Caroline K.

Yelp
Jordan was so helpful in finding me the perfect cycling shoes. He was practically jumping up and down with me in excitement when we found them for 70% off.

Lanny G.

Yelp
when selling items you can expect 10% of retail value. they offered me $300 for over $3000 worth of stuff 75% was new never used. i spent half of a Saturday posting my items on craigs list an revived $1100 for my clothing. in less than 2 weeks. Feral is worse than a pawn shop.
google avatar

Sabrina B.

Yelp
This shop is cool and with more time and money and room in my suitcase I would have left with way more goodies than I did. They had a great selection. Each item had one of two of each size available. The shop tees are a nice quality and a great price point. I wound up leaving with a black snapback baseball hat from Mountain Standard (a CO based company) for a good price. They even have Feral Hydroflasks in all shapes and sizes. Do yourself a favor a pop in here for a cool Denver souvenir that isn't the same tourist tee!
google avatar

Ryan D.

Yelp
I popped in here with a stack of men's clothes to sell without having been here before. I will say that the selling process was quick and simple. They had all of my items broken down on a spreadsheet, and did Venmo right on the spot, which was nice. I was surprised, however, with how low the price point was for most of my items. Most of what I brought in were high end outdoor brands (like Patagonia, Arc'teryx, etc..) and they averaged out to about $8-10 per item cash value. From a sellers standpoint, I don't think I would sell items here again. I would rather post on Facebook marketplace and get 3-4x what they paid me, although it's more work. From a buyers standpoint, they have some great deals on clothes and a large selection. The actual space itself is very neat and organized and the location is ideal. Worth checking out in your in the neighborhood.
google avatar

Barbara M.

Yelp
I like to buy recycled clothing whenever possible. It's not only good for the environment, it's good for my wallet and often the only way I have access to well-made top brands. I found the jacket of my dreams here, a Woolrich that I would've had to pass by at full price. The people working there were super friendly, as well, and I truly appreciated free access to a clean restroom. I will definitely be back! The pie shop next door doesn't hurt, either. :)

Ashley L.

Yelp
Love this place!! Great consignment. People are always great. We always find something random that we have to have, but never need. :) Tennyson is great overall. Highly recommend swinging by if your looking for some camping gear.
google avatar

William M.

Yelp
Lots of great outdoor gear new and used. Always fun to swing by and go through the used section. The gear is in excellent shape. The whole staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Emily has gone out of her way to help me find a product or educate me on something helpful multiple times. As a consumer great product knowledge and thoughtful staff will get my business every time. Thankful to have a store like this in my neighborhood. Quality people selling quality goods.
google avatar

Jose R.

Yelp
Visited Oct 20, around 6pm. Don't expect to find parking anywhere near. Wanted an estimate on a sleeping bag repair. Stood in line for a good 5 min while the (only?) associate chatted with another customer, oblivious to anyone else being there. I want to support small businesses, specially one who is eco friendly, but they should be more alert or aware of other patrons.
google avatar

Emilio C.

Yelp
Amazing place with amazing staff! I come here weekly to shop the new items they received; you can bring gently used outdoor clothing and they'll purchase it on the spot cash! Whole staff is super friendly and very helpful with whatever needs! Highly recommend anyone stoping by feral! Jackson put me on to the brand rab and now I want more items from them!
google avatar

Autumn B.

Yelp
I absolutely love shopping here. I work in conservation and Feral provides all of my necessities, and at very reasonable prices which fit my tight budget. I've made two trips to Feral since moving here a few months ago and the staff are more than happy to help in answering any questions and giving tips. Not to mention there are super cute stickers you can buy near the checkout area to deck out your gear with. I absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for affordable gear and outdoor wear.
google avatar

Gerard L.

Yelp
I am grateful to Feral for fixing my zipper on my down jacket that REI wouldn't do because their policy changed and because the coat was purchased over a year they refused. Not only did Feral fix it but the employees there were very kind, helpful and concerned . I ended up making purchases at Feral I would have otherwise at REI . I'll never shop REI again but definitely look to Feral for my future camping and clothing needs . Thank you Isabella and crew , gerard
google avatar

Stephanie B.

Yelp
My first time experience in FERAL. Tons of great deals and cute apparel! The best thing was how helpful the staff was. Kaylee answered my MANY hiking questions and informed me on what to look for in the future for a better hiking experience. Jesiah at the front showed me how to fold up my new jacket to fit in my backpack and even ran outside to give me some merchandise I forgot at the counter. I will be returning to support this business that employs such genuine people!
google avatar

Robin R.

Yelp
Huge thanks to the gang at Feral. They hooked me up with a really nice pre-owned tent for $25 and a bunch of other gear that made my back country hike really amazing. Love my new Jet Boil cooking system and they even upgraded me to the model with the auto igniter built in. Got a strainer so I can have French press coffee at the campsite and loving this new BareBones light that's rechargeable and keeps the camp site lit nicely. These are good people - locals, so treat them well and they'll be good to you. They have a ton of recommendations for gear usage and won't BS you about products.
google avatar

Hunter S.

Yelp
We love FERAL my favorite is the used discount section (garage sale) such a huge verity of items! Definitely go, outdoors is the best place to be!

Bridget L.

Yelp
I bought a pair of hiking boots here for around $40 and both boots broke on the second ever hike I wore them on (photo of L and R boot attached). They are too far of a drive for me to take them back in for a refund, I won't be making the trek back to this store because I don't trust the quality control.

Christine A.

Yelp
I received top notch, friendly service from Holly from the moment I stepped into the shop. Holly answered all my questions about their maps selection. They have a fine selection of Nat Geo maps and I even found some used maps that were totally viable. I will be checking in from time to time on their selection of maps along with other great finds in this awesome shop.
google avatar

Glenn G.

Yelp
Great staff great selection of new and used gear for camping and skiing I got a goodbye on some goggles goggles, nice place where we could lay out the group and it's a safe house very cool old part of town
google avatar

Iyana M.

Yelp
I love FERAL the staff was extremely knowledgeable and kind. My boyfriend and I came because we wanted to find gear at a good price and FERAL exceeded are expectations. I would definitely recommend them if you're looking for high quality gear at a good price

Matthew G.

Yelp
I found Feral completely by accident but what an awesome place it is. Whether you are looking for some new gear or looking to give some gently used a gear another opportunity to perform you'll find it here. This evening Lee, Taylor, and Matthew helped me find the gear and clothing I needed. If your looking for something for your next adventure I'd give Feral a try. I'll definitely be back.
google avatar

Chelsea G.

Yelp
Stopped into Feral today and walked out with my first pair of snowshoes- staff were helpful in talking about sizing etc! Love that they sell used gear here, and always like supporting a local business.
google avatar

Alberto M.

Yelp
A nice shop with very kind and attentive staff. The quality of their used gear is very high. The staff was also very helpful in explaining their repair services to me.
google avatar

Benjamin G.

Yelp
Great scene, great vibe. Knowledgeable staff, and some sweet used gear.

Vi T.

Yelp
I took my used ski boots in to sell it. Boots are in great condition but they would only give me $44.00 for cash value. However the staff was very nice when I addressed my concerns about the boots. The guy suggested me to take them to another place to fix it. If that didn't work, I'd get more on an online market place.
google avatar

Dave B.

Yelp
The Grand Opening. A crowd so huge that you would have thought it was a joint Bernie-Donald rally. Well, maybe 50 people. Very exciting. Outdoor sports items in Colorado. Who would think there is a market for those? Friendly, knowledgeable staff. I learned about some new socks: Farm to Feet. Is that not a great name?
google avatar

Brandon C.

Yelp
The Denver flagship store is rad! Lots of goodies for the outdoor gear junkie. The staff is super friendly and helpful with any questions and even suggestions on resources for backcountry adventures. Really liked the fact that they buy and sell used gear, that's pretty unique in the outdoor supply store scene. Also their t-shirts are some of the best fitting & most comfortable tee's I've worn in a while. #liveferal
google avatar

Ashley G.

Yelp
The most excellent of rental service, customer service, and outdoorsman I've encountered. I made the mistake of last minute packing for a backpacking trip and omitted my tent. I stopped by Feral to grab a rental and not only were they super friendly and helpful? I rented a BRAND new, unopened tent. When I returned it, it wasn't up to my standards of cleanliness because I only packed one paper towel for my trip, but they were super courteous and accepted my return without any qualms. I would highly suggest coming here for your new, used, and rental outfitting needs.
google avatar

Katie M.

Yelp
We love this local shop! They do a great gear exchange, they will pay cash or I find it a better deal to get the gift card and spend money in the shop. They have great used gear and awesome new stuff. Also love that we get to support a local business, highly recommend to any outdoor loving Denverite!
google avatar

Joe B.

Yelp
The best outdoor gear store in Colorado. Period. Ultralight backpacking gear, cottage companies, and unique brands you can't find anywhere else. If you're flying into Denver, their rental gear is top notch in quality yet cheaper than any other option in town. They stock the best backpacking gear around and have far better choices than REI. The shop itself is super cozy too. I'd highly recommend stopping in here.
