The food was well made. But it was not anything spectacular. The Tomahawk was pricy for the size. I have had bigger ones for the same price. The gin and tonic was mid at best. Service was good. I feel like this place is overpriced for Newark and especially the area in Newark. Hidden in the back. I think Newark has better offerings.

This is a fine dining restaurant. Service is upscale. food choices fits all categories. Large portions. I had the duck breast which could've cooked for about 5 more minutes it was somewhat chewy but acceptable. The restaurant is large but i suggest having a reservation. Very comfortable atmosphere. I learned of this place from a conversation with an Uber driver. He raved about it and i became curious. Easter Sunday after church a few of us was trying to figure a place to go. I remembered me wanting to try this place and it was in the area. It was a good decision. Whew ... I would not have survived the backlash from my friends had it not been. We all agreed it was a good place.

Google
“Rodizio Experience That Delivers!” Went for the rodizio experience, and it did not disappoint! I got to try at least 10 different meats (I lost count because they were bringing them out so fast). While not every cut was to my taste, they were all served hot, fresh, and flavorful, which made the experience truly enjoyable. The sides—rice, plantains, beans, and fries—were solid, with the fries being the standout. I do wish the pineapple had been grilled a bit more for that extra caramelized flavor. We also tried the lava cake which were absolutely delicious and a great way to end the meal. A big thank you to the servers who took such great care of us. Their attentiveness made the evening even better. If you’re looking for a fun and satisfying rodizio experience, this place is definitely worth a visit!

Google
Service was wonderful! Servers were extremely attentive. Out of everything ordered, the clams were the best. Everything else was sub-par. The food definitely needed more seasoning, very bland. Chorizo appetizer was good but pretty dry. My group was very excited to try this place based off the amount of positive reviews, we don’t see ourselves dining here again. The menu was also way overpriced for the quality of food we received.

Google
Staff were extremely attentive and polite. Had the filet mignon and shrimp. The sauce was delicious and surprisingly not sweet given it had slices of banana. My friend had the hamburger which was huge. Shrimp and octopus in garlic sauce appetizer, almond tart and tiramisu for dessert. I have been to all Fernandes' restaurants and all outstanding.

Very friendly service. The food was good. We ordered the paella and was a huge order with alot of seafood. Food comes out relatively quick.

Google
The food is outstanding, the portions are generous, absolutely loved the rodizio selection. The sangria is a must! Staff is always friendly and accommodating! You will definitely not leave hungry or unhappy. Highly recommend! Great for date night and family dinner.

Google
Food here was ok but it is a little pricey. Not saying it was bad because it wasn't just nothing special. I feel I could have gotten the same meal somewhere for a better price. Went on a Saturday night at 8pm and it was packed. Couldn't even get into valet parking so we had to look in the street. Doesn't seem like the best area to be walking around late at night. Make sure to make reservations. The service was good, the issue I had personally was I felt I was being rushed. We were having apps and he came and took my plate away before I got more calamari. I felt they could have come a few times more to check on us. I was looking for a waiter because I ran out of drinks. The place itself is nice and big. We were seated upstairs and it was pretty crowded. No music in the background but it's really loud. I could barely hear a friend 2 seats away. We also had this unnecessarily loud group behind us. It's a 25min drive for me to get here so I probably won't be coming back. I feel I can do same or better closer to me. If I was from the area I would like to give it another shot.

Yelp
Oh did we have a FABULOUS meal here!!!! I have heard about this restaurant and the rodizio forever, and we finally made it here to celebrate a birthday. Now I'm so angry. I ever delayed going here. The rodizio was amazing. The food just kept coming. We never had to wait. And everything was cooked perfectly. The meat was top-notch, tender and delicious. It comes with rice, sliced potatoes, and beans. My son wanted mashed potatoes and of course I wanted some vegetables so we ordered those extras on the side. The vegetables were wonderfully fresh. The mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious. The black beans were so nice over the rice. We got a pitcher of sangria and honestly, it was one of the best sangria as I have had. I love sangria. But there are a few problems that sangria often suffers from. One is it is either too sweet and juicy tasting or it doesn't have any fruit juicy tasting, and the only juice flavor comes from the sliced fruit that they put in there, which never permeates the wine. The second problem it usually suffers from is that it is lacking the kick of some brandy. This sangria had neither one of those problems. In fact, it had the most wonderful blend and balance of fruit and wine flavor with the definite depth and kick of Brandy. It was just terrific and refreshing and as I type this, I so want another glass! I cannot wait to go back here

Yelp
Went in around lunch and had the meat platter plate over rodizio. Some of the meat was super tender, and others like the kebab were a little tough. If I was to choose again, I would go with the rodizio so I can have seconds of the meats i like. Parking is valet.

Yelp
Came here years ago, it's an experience. You get massive portions, juicy fatty salty bits of meat, just be careful not to overeat or you'll be up all night with a stomach ache. The pichana is always a hit, personally I love chicken hearts too, and the sliced pineapple is fun. Desserts are massive shareable portions.

Yelp
Each meat they brought us was very tasty and cooked perfectly! We had a pitcher of red sangria, which we loved bc it wasnt too too sweet like you usually find at a restaurant. All of the sides were good as well and the food kept coming. We left so full but every bite was delicious! The staff were all very kind and attentive. The vibe inside is lively and the restaurant was packed.

Yelp
Ok, so to start if you plan to have dinner here on the weekend, a reservation is a must! I tried 24 hrs in-advance and they had closed reservations, as had 275 already. So we decided to come for a late lunch and still no tables available, but happily sat at the bar. Service is excellent, drinks are strong and fish so fresh. Prices are high but definitely worth it, love that they have free valet parking. What I love most about this restaurant is its upscale but family vibe. The interior is beautiful, you feel like you're eating in a castle.

Love it - always amazing - rodizio is awesome - sangria is amazing - Portuguese potatoes are fantastic

Yelp
I was there on a very slow afternoon for Rodizio. I was usually served meat direct from the rotisserie. I was always getting the browned outside and it was extremely salty. I think they salt the meat every time it's returned to the rotisserie. Do not go on a slow day and hope you're not getting the first cut.

Yelp
The Rodizio is always top notch -- never disappointed. The staff are always pleasant, ensures that we are enjoying and makes us laugh. Recommend going there!!!

Yelp
Food was incredible, service was unbelievable. Best steak I have ever had. Will visit in near feautre with my friends for sure.

Yelp
What makes this place good was the amazing staff! Food other than the Rodizio was just ok as we had two other seafood and pasta in cream sauce. Go with the delicious Rodizio it was just delicious and not too salty. Beef and pork ribs, strip steak, sirloin, chicken, shrimp, sausage, and meats... I don't remember what they called. Flan for dessert. Did I mention the excellent staff? this is in the old Iberia location and cool castle like feel. Back next time, I am in town.

Yelp
Good experience. Good service. Not too busy at 7pm on a Friday but definitely picked up by 8pm. Lots of fun decor all over the restaurant. I went with the all you can eat BBQ. Lots of choices with the rotations. I'm lost with all the beef, chicken, pork, and shrimp options. Lots of choices! The roasted pineapple with cinnamon dessert was a highlight. Sadly, some of the options were over-grilled and some a little dry. It might have been because I got there when there weren't many people? It was a solid 3*. Give them a try and tell me what you think.

Yelp
Always a great experience when I come here. Valet parking, the service and the ambiance are all fantastic. The rodizio is a must try. They have something for everyone here. Steaks, seafood, etc. and a the desserts are to die for.

Yelp
After about a week of recovering from the incredible amount of meat I consumed at Fernandes, I think I'm ready to review. The rodizio Just. Kept. Coming. Don't get me wrong, the servers were hyper attentive, constantly stopping by to refill waters and ask if we wanted more of anything, but how do you tell someone to quit bringing you meat? It's like telling the birds not to sing, or the rain not to fall. The avalanche of meats will continue, and you'll enjoy every one. I loved the variety of meats and cheeses available here: sausage, chicken, turkey, lamb, flank steak, filet, Sirloin, ham and cheese, cheese, and another half dozen I'm sure I forgot. Out of all the options, only one (the ham and cheese) felt underwhelming. While most (all) of the meats are smoked, I'd say only a couple had a heavy smoke flavor. Most were seared well and just had a hint of smoke that accentuated the flavor. And let me just reiterate, the service was impeccable. My water never fell below half full, and towards the end of the meal when I wanted more, they rushed right over with all my favorite hits. If I had any critique at all, it'd be that they should have built this spot closer to my house so I could eat there more often.

Yelp
You are in for a treat whether you make this an occasion place (I always come here for my birthday at a minimum), or just want to explore the best darn rodizio lineup Newark has to offer, and that is saying something given that Newark has many options from which to choose on the Brazilian/Portuguese front. This place is MASSIVE, beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. You get the feeling that whoever designed it had an unlimited budget and free reign creatively. They spared no expense to make you feel like you are walking into a whole different world, even when you just walk in. You'll walk through many doors, adding to the mystery, and then before you are seated, you will notice the meat display in the waiting area. Nice touch, gets the appetite going! All of their steaks, and really any of the meats in general are going to be good. On this particular night, we tried the fish, lamb, beef, beef ribs, and I of course got the rodizio option which included sausage, pork, beef rib, and the best of all ... picanha (cap steak)! If you've never had cap steak, it is the king of all cuts. It melts in your mouth. Don't cut the fat off, it melts in your mouth like butter, and mixes in with the meat and salt flavors like a rush of flavor into your mouth. NEVER gets old! Whether you wind up downstairs or upstairs, you will be sure to get excellent service and food. Don't hesitate to try the Sangria, it is excellent, as is their selection of Portuguese and Spanish wines. We polished it off with some flan, then visited the bartender for our after dinner drinks. Don't forget to tip your rodizio crew, there is a separate box near the open kitchen, where you get to watch them perform their art. Don't be surprised if you see me there, staring at the meats.

Yelp
Super extensive menu and super friendly staff Downside is definitely their tiny parking lot. They really cram people in there. I had the 16 Oz filet with shrimp. I ordered it medium. Portion sizes are large. They also have a super extensive dessert menu (like I'm talking at least 20 options). For large parties they do NOT do separate checks but are able to run multiple cards. Others in my group ordered different steaks and pasta dishes. All appeared to be super satisfied with their choices.

Yelp
Very clean and rustic style steakhouse...felt like I was in Aspen or some lodge which was cool. The people were all extra friendly which completed the overall vibe. Sausage appetizer - this was good but too much for 2 people to share. Do this family style. Shrimp appetizer - really good tasty buttery shrimp Lunch special meat plate (sorry forgot what it was called) - this was a plate of three different meats, picanha, ribeye and some other meat that basically was great but put me into a food coma. I would come for dinner as you don't want to do much after having access to this much meat! Highly advise to come here!

Yelp
Service was great. Attentive and friendly staff. Had the rodizio- most of the meat was overcooked so dry and chewy perhaps because there weren't too many tables. The drinks were flavorful and strong.

Samantha P.

Yelp
We went to celebrate my son's birthday. Service was great and so was the sangria. The 4 of us ordered the rodizio which wasn't very good. All the steak was overcooked and we kept asking for more medium/medium rare ones but they never came. The sides of rice and French fries were super bland. If I went back I would try the regular menu but never the rodizio again!

Yelp
4.5 if I could. Saturday night, made a reservation. Valet parking is clutch. Not too busy but good energy! Service was great, full bar. Really enjoyed my white sangria. 3 of us got rodizio, but I got an order of garlic shrimp to start - it was really good- and then the rack of lamb. I give them credit for pacing the rodizio around my meal. Good selections for the rodizio, and it comes with plenty of sides. Got a coconut sorbet and caramel cheesecake for dessert. We left full and happy!!

Yelp
I think the food here is consistently good. The service is great. They certainly don't rush you but you can get in and out timely if you want. I love their red sangria. Have never tried any of their other drinks. For this visit, I had the short ribs with chips, rice and vegetables. The meat was cooked perfectly. Seasoned well. We had a seafood appetizer with shrimp and crabmeat over avocado. It wasn't what we ordered (we had asked for the smoked salmon) but it was delicious. Glad they made the error. We also tried the prosciutto and manchengo plate. The rest of the table had the halibut, bacalhau, and garlic chicken. No complaints. The homemade chips are tasty and crispy. The vegetables they serve taste like they're frozen. They lack flavor.

Yelp
We were a large party and came late, but Fernandes was willing to accommodate us. I started down at the bar, then sat at a table upstairs. Our party started with pitchers of sangria and many mixed drinks. The sangria was tasty. However, I did prefer my caipirnha. I opted to have a second one through the meal. I opted for rodizio, and many of us did. At 56 dollars a person, you are greeted fresh bread and with plates of beans, rice, fried bananas, farofa, and pico de gallo. Everything on the plates was delicious, but I will say, the French fries did taste as if they were sitting out. During rodizio, you are also open to the market table that serves plenty of different salads. The meats were flavorful and fresh. We sat close to the pit, where you can clearly see various spits of meat cooking. We were served many different cuts of steak, lamb, ribs, chicken, and sausage. My personal favorite was corazon de frango. My next favorite would be the sausage. However, I feel it is unfair to compare deliciously prepared meats to each other. Everyone has a different taste for what they like. The pineapple at the end helped with bloating. I did have an orange sorbet that came out too hard. I had to wait and let it sit for a bit before consuming. The sorbet tasted syrupy, which I did not overly enjoy. I did enjoy my latte, though!

Yelp
Fernandes Steakhouse is our go to whenever in Newark. The service and food are excellent and the ambiance makes you feel like you're in Portugal. We ordered the garlic shrimp and grilled sausage as our appetizers and they were excellent. You also can't go wrong with a pitcher of their red sangria. Since the appetizers are generous, my husband and I decided to split the tomahawk steak. Our meal was so good and served as reinforcement why we always come back! If you've never tried Fernandes Steakhouse, you've been missing out.

Yelp
came here with my coworkers the other night to get drinks & food. GREAT time-fun with great atmosphere; however they close early (10pm)and basically kicked us out :( so to start, there's ample amount of parking in the parking lot and street parking for free. the place itself is HUGE and so you can bring a big group and they can accomodate you OR you can have an intimate, romantic dinner to (can do both). unfortunately the bathroom is down the stairs and there is absolutely no signal down there. the service is phenomenal, the waiters have great recommendations, are attentive and they even gave us a wine as service. the food itself wasn't bad (just a bit on the expensive side comparative to the other restaurants in the area and a bit bland). my friends got the all you can eat steak option which was absolutely delicious but it's only one type of meat (comparative to fogo de chao where you can get all different cuts of meat). the drinks are delicious & reasonable priced! along w/ the dessert! Overall definitely recommend !

Yelp
Yes, the ironbound of Newark (or "down neck" to the locals) has a lot of great restaurants, especially if you love cuisine from the Iberian peninsula! In particular, rodizio is something my fiancée (still gotta get use typing that) and I enjoy from time to time. For the uninitiated: rodizio is an endless supply of a variety of meats. Steaming slabs of skewered juicy beef, poultry and sausage are brought to your table by specially trained gauchos who are armed with sharp knives. Your job as the consumer is to take a set of tongs and ensure that whatever meat the gaucho cuts ends up on your plate. It's an interesting dance of them slicing and you grabbing & plating. Usually they give you a "stoplight" red/green type of placard for you to signal your level of gluttony to the gauchos. Red and they'll leave you alone until you flip it back to green. We didn't have those this afternoon and well, let's say nobody left hungry. The quality of the meat here is typically very good: ribeye, sirloin, picanha (near the sirloin but fattier and more flavorful), bacon-wrapped chicken, tasty sausage, garlic steak (don't know which cut but it's our favorite), and probably others that I forget. One or two pieces were a bit fatty or overcooked, but they'd be around in 5 minutes with another option, so it wasn't a big deal. I was hoping they'd have periquita brand wine, a dry Portuguese red that's affordable and tasty. Unfortunately they didn't, but the red they provided was perfectly drinkable and a generous pour. Probably 9 oz glasses. Nikki had a glass of sangria and it was STRONG. 2 glasses of wine and finishing her final 1/4 glass of the sangria got me pretty "turnt" as they say nowadays. Dessert? It was the most lackluster part of the meal. The tres leches cake was pretty forgettable and the chocolate cake was decent, but nothing amazing. The waiter had an iPad to show all the dessert options, and it makes you expect better. Oh well. I'd suggest going somewhere else for dessert, assuming you have the stomach room and want a reward for braving the meat sweats and sodium-induced hypertensive crisis. The menu is huge if you don't want rodizio. Lots of seafood, other meats, maybe salad? Their seafood looked good and I'd certainly try it sometime. Restrooms are clean, but accessing them could be an issue if you're mobility challenged as they're down a flight or two of stairs at basement level. Reservations aren't required prior to 3 pm. We came in around 2:30 on a Saturday afternoon and tables abounded. However the place was filling up by the time we left! If you dine at normal times, make reservations. They do have a private parking lot and I believe it's valet after a certain hour. We self-parked no problem, and free. That's a good thing, because rodizio is $52.75 a head! Add drinks and dessert to this, and you'll be facing a hefty bill. Screw it: skip breakfast, arrive well heeled, well hydrated, and go enjoy a trip around the abattoir. Fernandes is the finest destination in the region to do it.

Yelp
Would go again - Now that I live in Dallas, there aren't as many Brazilian Rodizio places near me. So when one is found, it is a gem! I found Fernandes from a small selection of restaurants in North Jersey. What made me choose them was the 2,000+ reviews with a 4.5 star rating on Google. I'm glad I found them. One of the best Rodizio around North Jersey that I had so far. I sat at the bar given it was a solo dinner night. I ate most of the meats they offer such as picanha, ribeye, beef ribs, short ribs, grilled pineapple, etc. The meats were slightly salty but juicy with the right amount of tenderness. Absolutely delicious. If you're looking for Rodizio, I would recommend Fernandes. And, if you're looking for a solo dinner, sit at the bar where the amazing Thamy can serve you. Valet parking is available on the backside of the restaurant. The interior has a casual but sophisticated vibe. Good for date night or just out with friends.

Yelp
Was taken out for a birthday dinner with family and it was amazing, the food, the service and the atmosphere was the best, really enjoyed the meal.

Your Local Jaquavious D.

Yelp
This is the best restaurant near me. We have gone here several times for birthday parties and I always leave with an overfilled belly. Firstly, the food. It is pretty expensive, but it makes sense, considering how good the food is. There is meat, seafood, just so much to choose from. If they don't have any meat you like, then you're just very picky. They start us off with some bread and butter so later we order our next course, some shrimp with an extra sauce, which I don't know what it is, but it's amazing. After the shrimp, we order the main course, a huge variety of meats. It's a steak house, what do you expect? Every single bite was heaven. Now, since I'm younger than the others, I also get this extra side-meal, with rice and fries. I asked for ketchup, but instead I got this sauce similar to ketchup, which honestly tasted better than normal ketchup, not much of a big deal. After we finished the main course, we have made it to the final stretch, desserts. The worker presented us with many different desserts, each of them looking good. I chose a plain vanilla ice cream, sometimes a lava cake, both are good, though. After we finished, they gave the receipt and we paid. That's it for the food, now the service was also pleasant. They just come and go, like they've been doing this their whole life. They ask us questions to see if we are okay, and after we finish a course, they pick up the leftovers, and the plates. They are very careful, making sure we have a good time. Remember the birthdays I was talking about? Yes. If we were to get a dessert, and the birthday person gets a dessert, one of us would tell the workers that it's said person's birthday. After a bit of waiting, many of the workers walk up with a candle in the dessert, singing happy birthday. And the feel-good vibe comes from my surroundings, too. The decor, the walls, the fake windows, the old time vibe also makes for the 5 star review. Overall, this is the best restaurant I've ever been to in my life, and I would recommend this to almost anyone (except vegans, of course')

Yelp
Definitely an little pricey but the host and wait staff are the nicest you may ever meet. The endless rodízio meats are scary awesome. Chicken, pork, lamb, beef(might be forgetting 1 or 2) then the roasted pineapple at the end is beyond stellar!! Truthfully, we've been 3 times now and have only ever gotten the rodízio. Hey and who doesn't love pitchers of sangria?! Very nice dinning setting and overall atmosphere. We love every chance we get to come to this well-polished Newark gem. Do NOT eat before you go and even tho the appetizers are really good you may not need any especially with the rodízio... Trust me! We never have room for desert but maaan do they all always look so delicious. Tip: I would call for a reservation at peak hours but they do seem to have a lot of seating either way.

Yelp
My first review of Fernandes even though I have been coming here for years. This place never disappoints. Let me start with the staff and service, I called them a few weeks prior to my visit to book a table of 8 for Hubby's bday dinner. They were extremely pleasant over the phone. U don't have to leave a credit card for reservation and no cake cutting fee, this place old school Brazilian Portuguese so al that bougie restaurant behavior is not issue here. U feel like family here, they treat you like they've know you for years. Once I arrived they took the cake from me right away and sat us down. Our waiter was so nice and patient with us as we were a big group talking and forgetting to look on the menu. Lol Now the food....if u have never had an experience at a Brazilian and Portuguese restaurant especially in the heart of the downtown Newark Portuguese neighborhood then I don't think ur living to the fullest as a foodie. The bread is fresh and the Sangria is just the right amount of fruit and wine! Appetizers was great. We got the sausage, garlic shrimp and calamari. Very good! I literally could have eating that but how can u come here and not get a red meat of some sort....I can't! Lol My hubby had the Rodizo, I had filet Migon and others in our party had the lamb and lobster. Not one person said anything negative about the food! All flavorful. Meats were tender and cooked as requested . All entrees come with rice, potatoes and veggies! So much food! Large portions!!!! They came and sang happy bday to my hubby with his cake and we were so full we didn't even cut it! Lol Such a great night! They made my Hubbys bday dinner so great! I really appreciate the outstanding service!!!!!

Yelp
Food was too hard and dry , told the server about it and didn't do nothing about it and left the restaurant hungry .

Yelp
We had the opportunity to try this place for my mother-in-law's birthday. And it did not disappoint. The food was amazing. The service was incredible and we can't wait to get back there. We had such a great time. The vibe was on point.

Yelp
The menu is huge something for everyone from seafood to steak and poultry . Full bar to offer an array of drinks. Staff is always. Looking to make sure customers are happy and satisfied. Looking for a good meal this is the place to go. Reservations recommended for weekends and holidays

Yelp
At first service was very attentive but as lunch progressed they forgot about us. I ordered the trio of pork chicken & steak. Steak was medium rare as requested. Chicken & pork were flavorful but extremely dry. Gentleman at the next table ordered the same and his looked much more moist than mine. Seafood combo had unpeeled shrimp that were also very dry and almost impossible to peel. Maybe it was an off afternoon. Maybe our dishes sat in the kitchen too long. Will definitely give it another try.

Yelp
PROS: This place definitely had a great atmosphere. It had a nice spanish/italian vibe to it while walking in and through the place. The nicest people were there to greet us and to serve us. The menu had a lot on it for a steakhouse but we decided to go with the rodizio (all you can eat steak). Unlike many places in Newark this one had a parking lot which always makes the biggest difference in a city environment. CONS: Yes they had a parking lot but it was definitely too small for the crowd they can handle. Also the portions of the steak they gave us were small compared to how other steakhouses do rodizio and they cut us off way too soon from the steak. OVERALL: I am 100% going back to this place if I'm in the area and if it's for a good occasion. This is a higher end place in Newark that I'm sure a lot of companies in the area go to because of its ambionce and good service

Yelp
Have you ever heard of the phrases "meat sweats" and "meat drunk"? This place is the epitome of that in the best was possible If you're looking for an amazing meat selection in a very old-school classic establishment, then look no further. I'm serious, I love the outside-but-you're-inside decor of their upper floor. They just don't make rooms like this anymore Back to the food, get the rodizio. You have to, it's why you're coming here. It needs to be why you're coming here. And to drink - you really can't go wrong with their sangria. You might even have room for dessert, but seriously, you should be full from all that meat

Yelp
I loved the experience! Service was very kind and understanding for a mistake a kid made, the place itself was very comfy and spacious, the food was AMAZING, brazilian meat is the top tier best.

Yelp
Loved it! Great customer service, rodizio was really good. So much food and so flavorful. $50ish-p/p. Worth every penny. Deserts are delicious too!

Yelp
This was my go to spot in my younger days and it is always an amazing choice. You cannot go wrong. Let's start with the sangria. Go for the white it's my all time favorite. Just the right amount of sweet but be warned you will be saucy ! Just get a pitcher it makes more sense $ wise. For meat eaters go for the Rodizio not that I wanna encourage people to eat animals but in my 20s I admit I did enjoy my share. As for the fish dishes all five star. Portion as are huge so go hungry . I'm also a fan of the fresh homemade chips they serve! For dessert grab a glass of port and a nice chocolate mousse . The flavor combo is mind blowing ! The service is good and I love the The feel of it reminds me of a Spanish château in someways. Newark isn't the best area but just go straight there and you will be fine their parking lot is pretty safe to park in

Yelp
Loved this place! Will definitely be back. A little pricey but the portion sizes make up for it! Ithe server was so nice, truly made us appreciate our mothers day outing. The steak was cooked exactly how I liked it and the pork chops were super juicy which is rare to find at a restaurant these days! The sangria...wow. so strong!!!! Definitely left in an even better mood lol wonderful restaurant!

Yelp
When we arrived it already smelled delicious. As soon as we sat down we already had bread. The servers were fast and nice. When we got in it felt like we stepped into a different place. If you ever come here don't just order a normal steak order steak on a tile. This place is not just food it is an experience.

Yelp
We arrived on a weekday for lunch and were pleasantly surprised that they have a $20 lunch special as long as u order before 3pm. Unfortunately we found the food wasn't as good as what we've had at other times. Not sure why. My husbands steak was tough and overcooked and therefore tough to eat. Not sure if it's because it was a lower priced entree due to the special pricing. I have always loved the old world charm of this restaurant and it's friendly atmosphere. The portions are huge, expensive and more than we're used to eating. The service is excellent.

Yelp
Doesn't look like much from outside but the food is usually amazing. Tonight the meats were a bit too salty for my enjoyment. Tried to make the best of it by incorporating more of the sides. We come here at least twice a year so this was by far the saltiest I've ever tried which made it hard for us to enjoy and my fiancé usually loves salty food. Great staff. Very friendly. Meats come around frequent enough. Great place for a date night or even to bring the family. They also sing happy birthday to anyone celebrating so that's always nice.

Yelp
My husband and I went for dinner last Saturday around 5pm. We were sat on the outskirts of the main area, which was a makeshift boarded up section which had an alternate heater on the wall. It felt like we were sitting in a basement. No decor, no ambiance. The food wasn't anything I will remember. Tons of options of overpriced food.. The service was excellent and that was the only plus. Never again. Too bad, I was expecting a great experience.

Yelp
Not a red meat eater but my girl loves this place, I had the salmon but it was dry & not very flavorful. Service was great when we re there. We also had chicken in a creamy sauce that was really good but not unique , carrot cake was not moist & really disappointing at nearly $10 per slice. As I am not a red meat eater, this might not have been the place for me as I was very disappointed with my dine in experience & then takeout given all the hype around this place & their price point.

Yelp
Came here for dinner, came for the steaks! So we ordered 4 of their Brazilian buffet steaks! Of course came with all the goodies, chicken, sausage, all the different cuts of steaks, rice, black beans and all. The steaks were pretty good, nice and tender. Not the best but good enough. Why I gave 3 stars and not 4 was the service of the place. Starting from their valets, to the waiters and steak servers.
