I’ve been shopping here since this location opened, and before that at the Hales Corners location. Today was the worst visit I have ever had. Only one checkout lane open, and I could hear someone in front of me say “sorry, I didn’t know that” when I walked up. When it was my turn, the cashier, Iris, curtly asked me if I had coupons or an ad. I said no, could they scan the ad like they have always done. She proceeded to tell me that is not the policy. I asked if that’s new because nobody has ever told me that before. She scoffed and said “then nobody has been doing their job because that is absolutely the policy and always has been.” Mind you, her tag said she started there this year. I thought the exchange would end there, but she kept on, basically reprimanding me for not having an ad with me. I’m not one to expect special service. If I knew I needed the ad I would have brought it, which is why I asked if that is new. Part of the reason I have shopped at Festival since it opened in the Milwaukee area is because of the friendly service and not needing to have a card, add digital coupons, etc. Not sure what changed, but the service at this location has been going down for months. This was the worst though. Hope it gets back to normal, or I’ll just go elsewhere.

I like Festival Food stores. Big stores, wide aisles, great selection, and super friendly staff. The specialty departments have amazing products and service. Love the bakery items and deli.

We LOVE Festival! Grocery shopping has never been so stress-free and enjoyable before. The aisles here are spaced far apart, offering lots of space to shop away from other customers. Everything is always fresh, and we often find options and brands not offered at other stores. Employee’s greet us kindly and are always around in case you need someone, even shopping at night. We are typically late shoppers, so it’s awesome that FF is open until 10 pm every day! The only downside is some things can be a little pricey here at times… We consistently come back though, for the quality and experience!!!

Right by the front door, they have ads that are completely misleading. This is the fifth time I've fallen for their trap. They have an ad saying “limit 2 - get something for $2.99 when the original price is $4.99,” but there's nothing on the sign that says I must buy 3 to get the deal. So, I end up buying 2 for $4.99 each and get no discount. I don't want to dispute this every time and get a refund, it’s inconvenient. When I brought this up, a worker actually said, "people need to actually read the ad.” This is kind of ridiculous to say and they didn’t even bother to fix it. They should have this important info in the actual advertisement inside the store. Not everyone reads the paper ads. On top of that, a good amount of produce items don’t even have a price label, and I've seen spoiled things like salami. It's no surprise they switched to bags where you can’t see the deli meat inside now. This store has to be breaking some sort of rule with these shady practices.

I’m always impressed, when I walk into a Festival Foods. I usually visit for the sales or variety of items. As a mom of a little, they are quite accommodating with infant/pregnant parking spots, child inclusive carts, and seats in the bathroom. However, the seat in this bathroom had terrible placement. I’m thankful for the seat, but am not too impressed with its location in the stall.

Friendly staff, stocked aisles, great food selection, clean and orderly presentation, what’s not to like?

This place is a night and day difference from Pick N Save. Whereas I hated going there every Sunday, I actually don’t mind going to Festival. I wish I would have made the switch a long time ago. Even the employees are nicer. Maybe I appreciate it more since I was like a trauma victim from shopping at PNS for years, but I’m so glad I convinced my wife to switch to Festival.

Festival has done it again, opening another large, consumer friendly, well lit store. The cafe here is probably one of my favorite parts, as it’s wide open, has plenty of room to sit, is right next to the deli and Caribou coffee stand, and the best part is when I sent my friend these photos he thought I was in an airport from how much natural light came through the windows 😂 The food here like their other stores is always fresh and tasty, and Sue from produce helped me find several veggies and dry grocery items I needed, and I made sure to tell her manager she deserves a raise (hopefully she’ll get another when corporate sees this). People do mention that prices here tend to be a bit higher than competing stores, but I personally think it’s worth it to get better service and happier employees, because when a company takes care of its employees, they take better care of customers. The store was well staffed on Tuesday January 25, 2022 in the morning and the guy at the meat counter who gave me my Nueske’s bacon (forgot his name, but he was working there around 9AM and had short black hair and a hat on) is one of the smartest people I’ve ever talked with in a grocery store

Yelp
Clean store, pleasant staff, lots of great food options. Lost a star from me, because the donuts are just not good. I've given them several chances to redeem themselves but you are better off grabbing a donut from Kwik trip down the road. I want to love your bakery Festival, what's the deal!?

Yelp
This store is less than desirable for customer service. Ever since they added gates around the liquor department it is less than user-friendly. If I just wanna browse, I cannot leave the department without an employee getting me out or an alarm will sound. I will not be shopping here anymore for liquor, and the staff is very rude and unhelpful when I asked for help then I got in line to pay for a few things and was told the lane was closed. Went to another line and same thing ended up going to self check out, which I absolutely despise. I will not be coming back here for a very, very long time unless I'm desperate.

Yelp
Somehow in the 7+ years we've lived here, we haven't stopped in a Festival Foods. That changed recently. We were in the area and stopped by to go to Caribou Coffee (which is inside Festival Foods). One look at the sparkling clean store, we knew we needed to come back for our weekly grocery shopping. We came back to do our weekly shopping and were so pleased with the experience. What we loved: 1) Sparkling clean and well organized. This store is b-e-a-utiful 2) Produce was beautiful. I literally ended up buying more fresh produce than I usually do because it was so lovely. 3) Everyone that works here is so nice! Truly what a great group of folks they have working here. 4) The fact that they have a coffee shop (Caribou, as I mentioned) in here is great What left us wishing for more: 1) Their selection of plant based foods was a bit lacking 2) Their selection of sparkling water flavors also left us wishing for more Beyond that, we were happy with the experience and look forward to another shop sesh here soon! Get to it!

Yelp
If you want exceptional customer service, shop at Festival Foods. Especially the store in West Allis. Not only is everyone helpful and upbeat, they go out of their way to help. Brandon in the meat department is the case in point. Not once, but twice he has helped me with special orders, and compensated me when something promised did not arrive. He gave us a far more expensive alternative for the sale price. The store is clean, well laid out and easy to navigate. Writing a review for a grocery store may not be exciting or sexy, but it's a necessity. Shop Festival foods if you like amazing customer service! Bonus points for having a cheeky sense of humor. * Read the isle marker on three. Festival foods has jokes.

Yelp
Make sure you double check expiration dates on all frozen pizzas. Found a bunch of them over 6 months expired

Yelp
I have become a big fan of festival foods since they came to Milwaukee and I find myself stopping there quite often because I like the variety of products that they have vs the competition. I really like all the heat and serve items especially the prime rib that is always out so I don't have to wait until Saturday night to get one in a restaurant and I can have it anytime I want it. The fresh seafood section just looks so fresh, I have been burned on spoiled seafood from area stores so I'm skeptical but I'm going to get something on one of my visits. They have a hot food bar and an Asian restaurant with fresh hot food which is cool and packaged take out. The fresh meat and deli cases look good also with options like seasoned/flavored ready to cook meats. They have a 30% reduced section for meats that are close the expiration date which is cool. They have a nice assortment of baked items and a decent produce department along with a nice liquor department. Overall I just like what this particular food store chain has to offer and the employees are always very nice and helpful and they say hello to you.

Yelp
New options available now for "all your grocery " needs no need for a new shopping card for your discounts. Cashier needs to scan the ad in order for you to get discounts. Hopefully this location will last for the years to come

Yelp
It's about time a grocery store came to that spot....It was a great opening clean open fresh prices was reasonable. It was my first time in a festival foods. It was pack the first day all of the big wigs was there. Everything was well put together it was stocked very well neat. I was amazed at how organized the aisles were. I definitely recommend going there for you're groceries I find that there prices is a bit better than pick n saves.

Yelp
Very polite and friendly workers and the store has some good deals. The deli is very good as are the prepared foods.

Yelp
I feel the West Allis Festival Foods is going down hill fast. I know there is a shortage of people that want to work. Lately, so many people in management and employees standing around chit chatting. Biggest disappointment though is their hot meal bar....food sitting there soooooo dried out. Their soup Chili was so dried clumps burnt it was sad...and again staff chatting away. It was 5pm and 4 different types of consumers in a 3 min time checked the hot food out and immediately walked away. This has been the 4th time ive been there where the food has looked like this. Sad.

Yelp
I was so looking forward to the store opening in West Allis. A few blocks from work, an easy stop, or so I thought. Grabbed two items, went to one of many self checkouts, only to find none take cash. No express lane for us just picking up an item or six. So I should stand behind people with carts full, sorry no thanks. Guess I'll continue to go to another place.

Yelp
Wow! What great customer service! About a dozen employees said hello to me. I love this location and was sad when Pick-n-Save left. However, this store is better than I could have hoped for. Food seemed very fresh and the presentation was phenomenal! I appreciate the free item coupons which enticed me to shop there in the first place. I will definitely be back to try some deli items including the sushi. I was a tad disappointed that there were no store brand half gallons of milk being sold, but the gallon was a good price.

Yelp
Very nice new store that is laid out beautifull. Love all the heat and serve items, I also love that they have pre packed deli meat that you can grab and go, and not have to wait for the deli to cut for you. Very good variety of items and they have pretty much every major brand you would be looking to purchase. I like the festival foods much better then pick n saves, I hope we get more in the area. Just one minor hiccup in my visit with the check out but I will chalk that up to being a new store and the learning curve that comes with that. I'm definitely a fan!

Yelp
Love this store. I'm so glad they moved into West Allis. The Chinese fresh food is wonderful. Bakery department is great. Got a cake for a birthday party and it was moist and delicious. Wish the produce department was bigger so I never have to go to Pick and Save where they don't care about their customers.

Yelp
I tried the new Festival Foods West Allis location this week for the first time. The store and parking lot restoration from the old Cub Foods was nice. However, I don't think I will shop there regularly. I thought the food prices were a lot higher than Pick N Save where I shopped for the last year. On top of prices, the store is expecting that we will pack our own groceries. Not too cool on top of high prices. I don't know of another grocery store in my area that has steak for sale for over $20 per pound. That does not match the income level in this area. I came out of the store yesterday with over $70 of groceries in three small bags. I think I am going back to Pick N Save for now.

Yelp
The staff was really nice. The food was overpriced and no variety. The aisles were set up with no plan in place.Really didn't know what to expect in every aisle. 2.99 for 2 apple turnovers! Dunkin coffee was off the charts. Meat section did not impress at all. Only had one style of brats. Seafood was barely existent and if you like salmon don't look here. Produce section was small. Back to Woodmans for this girl! Festival if you want to remain in business up your selections-a few bottles to choose from for BBQ sauce isn't cutting it. Wisconsinites always look for the best deal and for you to last you need to bring them on!
