Saw the rooftop bar from another rooftop bar. We decided to try it out. You know, it was a nice sunny and windy day in Charleston, a beautiful city with nice people. We walked into the lobby of the hotel, were greeted by the hotel staff, and they led us to the elevators that went up to the rooftop bar. Rode up the elevator to the bar. It was not that busy, but we waited about 5 minutes for a table after arriving, and got an outside table with an absolutely amazing view.
A server came out, and we said we would like to order. She said she would come back out.
10 minutes later, nothing. I went back in, checked in with her. She said she would be out to get our drink order.
10 minutes later, the two tables next to us were served, nothing for us. I went back in, told the same server, who was at the bar with a group of friends, that we wanted to get drinks. She said she would be out.
A few minutes later, a different server came out and took our drink order, in including a pretty nice (*pricey) bottle of bubbly, and we ordered a ceviche. Drinks came out a few minutes later with the ceviche.
We waited 40 minutes to spend a good amount on an expensive bottle and tomato soup with shrimp floating in it.
I would usually give the benefit of the doubt and be understanding about waiting, but the server straight up ignored us for about 30 minutes, while goofing off with friends.
