We had such a great experience at Fiat Lux inside the Hotel Bennett! Brendan was incredibly friendly and attentive—he truly made our night. The entire staff was welcoming and helpful, making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The highlight of the evening was the stunning view of the Charleston skyline at night—absolutely breathtaking and the perfect backdrop to unwind and enjoy the ambiance. A must-visit spot for great service and unforgettable views!

Our trip to Charleston was a last minute idea. We wanted a short get-away from our town near Charlotte, NC. This review is of the rooftop bar at Hotel Bennett. The views are what I was looking for. I also wanted some small plates (I’m not into alcohol, they have a nice bar, most folks were having drinks, but my husband ordered a lite beer). We decided on the black angus smash burger, the Caesar salad (be forewarned, this one actually comes with full size anchovies on top). Our server Nora was wonderful, she made our visit much more memorable, as foodies, we have much experience here, we did kindly convey to her that even a fraction of the anchovies would have been sufficient). Ooof! It over powered the salad. The tuna tartare was also pretty good, too. It’s served with crackers. I inquired about a future stay because I was watching carefully and noting the staff at Hotel Bennett. They go above & beyond. Fiat Lux rooftop bar in downtown Charleston is a gem that captivates with its breathtaking views. The skyline panorama is simply stunning and worth every visit. Their old fashioned cocktail is flawlessly crafted, a perfect balance of flavors that delighted my taste buds. However, what truly sets this place apart is the exceptional service. Killed a little time while my wife was in the Spa. Great views of the city. Crystal was super nice and knew how to work a bar. One of the nicest places in town.

Came here for lunch last-minute on Mother’s Day because we didn’t have any reservations anywhere. It was perfect! Not crowded at all and cozy seating. The weather was stunning, the cool breeze coming through the open patio doors, and chill vibe was just what we needed. The food was good, not great, but we enjoyed it anyway. We didn’t have drinks, but I would like to come back for that and trying the rest of the menu.

Hmmm, The views of Charleston are the perfect background for ANY conversation or occasion. Very friendly crowd. The drinks weren’t weak, but not strong either. This rooftop bar can also be entered from the bakery below, La Patisserie. Definitely on my bar rotation list.

From the moment we arrived, Bri, our server, made us feel welcome and taken care of. She was attentive, friendly, and ensured that our experience was top-notch. Bailey, the bartender, was efficient and professional, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. Dorcas and Brandon also contributed to making our time at Fiat Lux memorable. Their professionalism and warm personalities added to the overall positive atmosphere of the evening. It's clear that the team at Fiat Lux takes pride in what they do, and it reflects in the quality of service they provide. Inside and ontop the Hotel Bennett, Fiat Lux is a nice reprieve from heat of the day. With expansive windows to take in the view with the air conditioning inside or with the breeze afforded by being up so high on the outdoor seating - it's a spot to relax and recharge with a nice cold drink. Our visit took place during the daytime and the atmosphere was light and airy. Unsure what the ambiance becomes once the sun starts setting and it transitions to the evening. Staff was attentive and drinks were delicious, price is reflective of the atmosphere though - so don't expect happy hour prices here!

Saw the rooftop bar from another rooftop bar. We decided to try it out. You know, it was a nice sunny and windy day in Charleston, a beautiful city with nice people. We walked into the lobby of the hotel, were greeted by the hotel staff, and they led us to the elevators that went up to the rooftop bar. Rode up the elevator to the bar. It was not that busy, but we waited about 5 minutes for a table after arriving, and got an outside table with an absolutely amazing view. A server came out, and we said we would like to order. She said she would come back out. 10 minutes later, nothing. I went back in, checked in with her. She said she would be out to get our drink order. 10 minutes later, the two tables next to us were served, nothing for us. I went back in, told the same server, who was at the bar with a group of friends, that we wanted to get drinks. She said she would be out. A few minutes later, a different server came out and took our drink order, in including a pretty nice (*pricey) bottle of bubbly, and we ordered a ceviche. Drinks came out a few minutes later with the ceviche. We waited 40 minutes to spend a good amount on an expensive bottle and tomato soup with shrimp floating in it. I would usually give the benefit of the doubt and be understanding about waiting, but the server straight up ignored us for about 30 minutes, while goofing off with friends.

I stopped in to Fiat Luxe with some girlfriends to kick off our evening of trying all the bar/dining options Hotel Bennet had to offer. Fiat Luxe is located on the rooftop of the hotel offering views of Marion Square (you'll have to walk outside on the patio if you want to check it out though) Service was fast and the cocktails were delicious! They offer a variety of signature cocktails, a full service bar, and a limited menu of bites and the vibe is elevated - in more ways than one considering you're on the rooftop ;) We all loved our cocktails and I'll definitely be back to try more from the menu! It's a great way to start your evening with Hotel Bennet (or cap off an evening)

Stopped in for a drink on the rooftop bar as I was told it was a place to visit. The views are pretty great, and I did enjoy my drink. I almost sat at the bar and turned to see there were empty tables on the terrace and opted to sit out there. The bartender encouraged it, but never said we're not serving those tables, etc. So, I sat out there for about 10 minutes with no service. I came back in and sat at the bar and was served immediately. If you aren't servicing the tables on the terrace, let your customers know.

This is a very cute and very small roof top bar at the top of the Bennett hotel. It's a nice place to have a drink especially at sunset. The view is quite nice. It's very hard to get food up here so don't plan on eating anything or getting some nibbles. This is really purely a place to get a cocktail. They have a tv that plays the sports games too if that's your thing. Not a bad place to have a nice cocktail and watch the game.

Don't go here to eat. Service is nice, hotel is great, location is outstanding, drinks are strong, and the shrimp and crab sliders taste like an elementary school tuna sandwich. The toothpick was the best thing on the plate.

Stopped in for a quick drink at the rooftop bar. I ordered the keep you gin up and wanted to like it but it was just too herbal forward for my taste. The bar itself is cute with a good view on the rooftop.

Fiat Luxe sits atop the Hotel Bennet . The bar features your standard selection of spirits in addition to specialty cocktails . The real appeal is the rooftop views . Now , it is NOT the best rooftop view in Charleston . You get a view of Marion Square, some skyline and the Arthur Ravenel Bridge (that connects downtown to Mount Pleasant). In order to take in the views you must exit the bar and stand in the open air part while standing up . Again, not the best rooftop in Charleston but still very nice . While we were there last, a couple got engaged:) Also, you can get a great view of the nearby St Matthews Lutheran Church - the bells ring on the hour and every quarter hour and it's kinda cool to be eye level with the steeple and hear it ring . There's both comfortable indoor and outdoor seating, a good drink menu and a food menu . It's a great place to kickoff your evening, especially if you are dining at the hotel restaurant Gabrielle. I personally like to have a cocktail at Fiat Luxe, dinner at Gabrielle and a nightcap at Camellias (also inside the hotel). I live in Charleston and it's super convenient to keep our evening activities all in one location !

Horrible! Worst service we've ever experienced at the bar! They need to hire some quality staff rather then worry about looks! Sad joke!

I came here after a show downtown and had the best time with Ryan!! She suggested some incredible cocktails and was such an entertaining presence all night long. I will definitely be coming back!!!

Wonderful location next to a nice park, they do have valet parking. I opted to park along side of the street, good luck! This is a rooftop bar at the hotel Bennett. The lobby is a bit fancy and luxurious, but very welcoming atmosphere. I decided not to eat or drink, this trip was only for the view. I was in town checking out a few rooftop bars. Once you take the elevator up its all self explanatory which way to proceed. There is nice bar that serves food and drinks if you desire. Nice size area for seating and taking a much needed break. The pool is for guest only, but I did wanna check it out for the future stay. The view is a section of Marion Square and the park below. They do have a champagne bar that I will indeed check out next time. Yes I would recommend if you have some time to visit and tell us what you think!

My boyfriend and I payed $200 for a drink each and a meal. Food quality was bad not worth going and service sucked acted like we didn't exist. Don't got to this roof top but stay at hotel so nice!

Good Drinks, Nice Atmosphere The rooftop of the fancy Hotel Bennett has a classy feel. The drinks are creative and tasty. Prices are pretty high. Staff is very pleasant and helpful.

It was fine. Drinks were really sweet if that's your thing. Personally, not for me but some people might like it. Service was fine. I liked the outdoor venue though.

Came here yesterday and had an absolute blast. Cassandra was our bartender and was super awesome, fun and knowledgeable about all the cocktails. She suggested a few of her own creations and they were all amazing. My first drink had gold, edible star glitter on it. I mean come on!! And they really do have the best view downtown. We actually had a great time at the bar downstairs too (had an amazing Espresso martini and nice chat with Daniel, the bartender) and they suggested we come up to the ninth floor to get this view. So happy we took their suggestion and we will definitely be back!

We went up to the rooftop for drinks on a Saturday before going to dinner. The bar is lovely with comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. We enjoyed a glass of sparkling rosé (same prices as Camellia's downstairs). I would recommend going up to the rooftop and checking it out and enjoying a drink. It's definitely on the higher end price wise, but worth the trip even if only once.

This is the rooftop bar at Hotel Bennett. We ran up for a drink one evening after dinner elsewhere on King St. The space seemed plain in comparison to the luxurious lobby. The view is of a section of Marion Square. The drinks were fancy but not necessarily delicious. We will check out Camellias champagne bar in the lobby next time.

Great location, breathtaking views and a friendly staff. Obviously the drink prices are premium but well-worth the atmosphere. We'll be back.

Nice spot on the 9th floor. The afternoon​ of the 4th and it was moderately busy. Burgers were tasty. They were actually cooked perfectly. Not much of a view, even though it is on the roof.

Friendly service, tasty apps and great views! We had a round of beers and shared the mezze plate. Ask for extra bread, you'll need it!

We had a great time here as a stop for a girls night out! I highly recommend asking for Jess as your server. She's friendly, outgoing, attentive and makes the night fun!!

This is my first time posting on Yelp, but my experience at fiat lux compels me to warn others. The hotel Bennett is very nice, but the food is terrible. I ordered the tuna poke at the fiat lux bar and the avocado base was like the bland thin spread from Trader Joe's. Worst of all, they ran out of tuna and snuck in beets as a poor substitute, cut in the same way as the tuna, as filler. There was more beets than tuna. The waitress was condescending when I asked about it, since they were not listed on the menu and were quite a surprise, to say the least. If you are looking to overpay for condescension and mediocre food, this is your place!

We had a drink at this outdoor bar that is probably described as a "rooftop"; don't be fooled. It's a terrace an the interior edge of the U-shaped Hotel Bennett, with concrete walls obscuring any view of the city or water. Service was abysmal - surprising for this venue. With so many choices in this town, this is any easy pass.

Didn't have much time with my mom downtown and this was the perfect place to catch up over a few cocktails and enjoy the view. Sam took great care of us and helped us pick a few small dishes. Thrilled to discover this gem, my new go-to spot to bring out of town guests.

big miss for this bar. the view standing up is amazing. but the balcony walls are solid and the furniture is super low. so sit and have a drink, you are staring at a wall and have no view. Some high top tables and stools would be a simple fix. as is, terrible. might as well sit in the alley and face the wall. puzzling why it is done this way.
